Playa Langosta is Tamarindo’s quieter neighbor—condo and boutique stays along a less crowded beach, with the Tamarindo estuary and mangroves on the north edge. Evenings are calmer; dining in Langosta is limited, so most people still head into Tamarindo for restaurants and nightlife (walk, bike, golf cart or short taxi).
Surf can be stronger and less beginner-friendly than central Tamarindo depending on the sandbar. Best when you want beach and sleep quieter, with town access on demand—not when you want everything on your doorstep.
Choose Playa Langosta for a relaxed base beside Tamarindo. Choose Tamarindo proper if walkable surf-town energy is the point.
