The house is absolutely stunning, very clean, and inviting. The host was very responsive, helpful, and friendly. The instructions were a bit confusing on the safety lockbox, the sliding doors, and gate entry. The house is located far from town center, but there's a few restaurants and beach within 5-10 minute walking distance. The beach area is polluted with horse feces and ocean with wastewater. If I would have known how rural the area was, I would have chosen an all-inclusive resort. The entire area smelt like sewer. I did not feel like I was on vacation, because I had to walk on a dirt gravel road with wastewater to take out the garbage, while navigating dining options and buying groceries in a SUPER humid and hot area. The grocery stores were expensive for no reason and activities were limited so I cancel the remaining of my nights and headed to San Jose. If this house was located in the Caribbean side, it would be the perfect vacation house.

It was such a pleasure staying in this apartment. The hosts were so helpful and the location was great. The restaurant fish and cheeses became our local favorite. Once we figured out our different beach access points it was so easy to get to the beach The hosts were wonderful and the apartment was great. The whole complex was spotless. And Costa Rica is amazing

The condo is beautiful, spacious and has so many amenities and personal touches. The wicker chair pictured in the living room was a concern of mine, but was happy to see a full sized comfy couch there instead. Close to the beach and the pool is so nice to relax in the evenings. The hosts were responsive and helpful throughout the stay. Any issues we had were minor and fixed very quickly. Definitely recommend and if I were to go back I would stay there again! We went as a family of three celebrating my daughter’s first birthday.

We enjoyed our stay at the Gem. It was just a 3 minute walk to the beach as advertised and in a quiet area that you didn't feel crowded and annoyed by too many people. The walk to downtown is doable but we chose to drive or getting a golf cart is advisable. Just a bit further than we wanted to walk, especially when it is 98 degrees, but straight shot and easy. She had everything available that we would want with pool floaties, beach towels, chairs, an umbrella, etc. We were set.

Thank you Andrea for being amazing. The condo is beautiful and very well appointed. The kitchen is well stocked and the grill was wonderful. The beds were very comfortable and the living area spacious. Thank you for providing beach chairs to enjoy Playa Langusta and magnificent sunsets. We appreciate your quick response time and kindness. We highly recommend staying in this lovely condo. The location was perfect for us. We enjoyed both beaches and all of the gorgeous tropical plants around the pool area. We hope to be back in Playa Langusta in the future.
