We had a very nice stay! The features and amenities matched the description. It was very clean and had plenty of privacy. In addition, we thought the value for money was excellent, and it was great to also be able to enjoy the pools at the Pueblo Bonito complex. The only issues were that the air conditioning in one bedroom and the dining room didn't cool very well, so some friends had to sleep in the living room, and that the gas for the grill ran out just when we were about to cook hamburgers, so we had to finish them on the kitchen stove. Apart from those minor inconveniences, we really enjoyed our stay and definitely had a very good experience.

The resort itself needs some updating and they’re slowly taking away everything that made it special. The houses need some TLC too. But otherwise always a great time.

View of the ocean from the pool is amazing. If you are wanting to see the sunset at all this is not your place zero views of that. Privacy is questionable first two days we had 4 different maintains people in the house with out letting us know. What a surprise come around the corner to the kitchen and there is a guy replacing the lights. Next day in the bedroom (different person) then on the outside stairs surprise another one replacing bulbs. Last was the guy replacing the pool lights. Besides those surprises the place is amazing and relaxing. Will defiantly consider this on our next Cabo vacation.

I wish I could do 3.5 stars but I gave it 4 stars because it deserves a little more than 3 stars. The villa needs to be updated. All the toilet seats where old, brownish color from age, with chipped pieces on the toilet seats. Literally all of them. These are very easy fixes to make the place a little nicer. Also we waited on the villa to be cleaned but noticed many dead moths on the floors. Overall the concept is nice but this villa just needed a little updating.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t happy with my stay. The refrigerator was broken when we arrived, and I was disappointed the property wasn’t properly taken care of beforehand. When you are spending so much money I think as a host you should make sure everything is working before you have your guest arrive. Because the fridge didn’t work, some of our food went to waste, and we weren’t compensated when I was told they would compensate me for something at least. Fridge wasn’t fixed until a whole day later which was such a hassle because we spent so much money on groceries that went to waste . The AC on the second floor also didn’t work properly, which was another inconvenience it was really hot and my guest were not happy. The jacuzzi wasn’t working properly either. We called someone to fix it, but they weren’t able to, so we couldn’t use it during our stay. Overall, this stay didn’t meet my expectations and I feel these issues should have been addressed before our arrival.

This place was beautiful, the pool water was perfect and when it got a little cold the jacuzzi was there. Everything was so clean and the amount of towels that were provide since we were going in the pool a lot was great! We had a great time and the views at night are gorgeous. I would definitely return

If you are renting this villa thinking you are going to be staying at a luxury place. Think again! Unfortunately, the place was very poorly maintained. Lots of things didn’t work, including lights, hot water downstairs, electrical outlets without their covers, pool lights and automatic light switches would leave you in the dark in the bathroom. Also, we were only provided with one towel for each bathroom, and when the maid came she never replenished the towels or toilet paper. We barely had enough for the five day trip. The most unfortunate thing was probably the cleanliness of the place in general. Walked in on the first day and within minutes my bare feet were instantly black. I’m not sure they’ve mopped or swept in weeks. Countertops in the kitchen were crusty, stale water stains in the bathrooms. We were here for a wedding on property and really didn’t have many other options. But if you do have a choice, be sure to stay elsewhere.

Saul is a great host. The Montecristo villas do show some aging and wear, especially compared to villas in other nearby resort communities. Doesn't seem to be a high level of investment and upkeep. The Pueblo Bonito restaurants are pretty bland as well.

★★★☆☆ This is a beautiful condo in a perfect beachfront location, which is why this review is so disappointing to write. We stayed for nearly two weeks, checking in on Monday, June 29, and checking out on Sunday, July 12. By the end of our first full day, I had already contacted the owner because the upstairs, where all of the bedrooms are located, would not cool. The following morning, I reported additional issues, including a leak from a bathroom ceiling, a non-functioning showerhead in the primary bathroom, and what appeared to be a plumbing leak around the base of the primary toilet. The biggest issue, however, remained the air conditioning. Despite repeated maintenance visits throughout our stay, the upstairs never became comfortable enough for sleeping. We spent most nights sleeping on top of the covers because it was simply too warm. A vacation without good sleep simply wasn’t much of a vacation.

Throughout your stay, we remained in close communication with the Resort's maintenance team and requested multiple inspections of the air conditioning system. According to their findings, the system was operating within its expected parameters, and they were unable to identify a mechanical malfunction. We understand that you believe the doors and windows remained closed during your stay. However, the Resort staff also reported observing doors and/or sliding glass doors open during some of their service visits. As a general recommendation, we advise all guests to keep all doors and windows fully closed at all times while the air conditioning is operating, as this helps the system perform more efficiently and also reduces the possibility of condensation caused by warm, humid air entering the Penthouse. We certainly understand that your experience did not meet your expectations, and we regret that despite the Resort's repeated inspections and efforts, the cooling performance was not satisfactory for you. This villa is truly spectacular. The breathtaking views, private pool, and stunning interior make it a perfect retreat. Daily housekeeping adds a wonderful touch, providing fresh towels, trash removal, and room refreshes to keep things comfortable. Please note that the kitchen isn’t equipped with cooking seasonings, so you’ll need to bring your own. Outside catering isn’t allowed. However, security is a top priority here, which made me feel completely safe despite the limited food options nearby. If you’re seeking relaxation, lounging by the pool, enjoying beautiful scenery, sipping drinks, and feeling secure, this is the place to be. I can't wait to return soon.

The views were absolutely stunning! The house was gorgeous! I would recommend renting a golf cart because the wait times for a shuttle can be a little ridiculous (30-45 minutes at times). But other than that, hands down worth the price!

We love Montecristo Estates and this place was exactly as expected. Very clean and it was in a good location in the resort. We had no hot water the first day but it was resolved fairly quickly. the resort services are excellent and the view and pool are wonderful. Nice break for our family of 7.

The place was excellent but the hotel gave my mom and step-dad a hard time when they tried to come up to our room. They tried to pay but there was a communication gap and it caused a big ordeal. Some of the hotel staff were very rude to them and it was an extremely unpleasant experience. I’ll leave a separate review for the hotel somewhere else. Otherwise, The air bnb itself was excellent.

I have stayed at Monte Cristo many times. I have always liked the location. The Villa did not have hot water in the upstairs bathroom. In the downstairs bathroom had hot water in the shower the first couple of days but no hot water at the end of our stay. We stayed 14 nights. call. We called maintenance, they came to look at the water and said we had hot water but didn't. Would I stay there again, yes I would. When you are paying over $400.00 per night it would be nice to have hot water.

The host was very responsive and communicative before and during our stay, which we appreciated. However, our arrival experience was disappointing as the villa had not been fully cleaned- trash was still present and beds were unmade. Because this listing operates within a hotel, resolving the issue was more complicated than expected and took over two hours. We were ultimately moved to a different room for the first night. The concierge also repeatedly said they would call back but often did not follow through, and staff interactions felt unhelpful and at times not very welcoming. Once settled into the correct villa, the accommodations were very nice and we enjoyed our stay. The host remained responsive throughout, but most coordination required repeated follow-ups on our end. Overall, the property itself was enjoyable, but the check-in experience and service coordination significantly impact the start of our trip.

Beautiful location and villa! It is part of a very hilly resort, so be prepared for a good workout if you decide to walk. However, we were there during their busiest week and had no issues getting resort-provided transportation in a timely manner. The villa and view were gorgeous. Loved having our own pool as the main resort pools were very crowded (again, busiest week of the year). Saul communicated well both before and after the booking was made. Overall a great vacation. We’d definitely come back!

We experienced several significant issues during our stay that impacted the usability of the property. The downstairs air conditioning was not functioning for an extended period, making those areas unusable for sleeping. We also experienced a loss of running water, which affected our ability to use basic facilities. Additionally, we encountered a pest issue, including ants and a scorpion found inside the home near a sleeping area, which raised safety concerns for our family. We made multiple attempts to get assistance during our stay, but the issues were not resolved in a timely manner. The property itself has potential, but these issues significantly affected our experience.

We would like to clarify that our villas are privately owned residences, and while we manage them and coordinate all service requests, occasional maintenance issues can arise. That said, each of the concerns you reported including the air conditioning, water interruption, and pest control, were promptly escalated and addressed by the appropriate teams as soon as they were notified. Regarding the water interruption, this was a temporary, resort-wide issue and not isolated to the villa. It was resolved within approximately 3 hours, rather than the longer duration initially reported. We would also like to note that the local team’s contact details for assistance during your stay were shared multiple times prior to your arrival, to ensure you had direct and immediate support if needed. Regarding pests, the villas are located in a tropical environment, and despite regular preventive treatments, occasional sightings can occur. However, we take these matters very seriously, especially when they involve guest safety, and immediate action was taken. We understand how disruptive these situations can be and regret the inconvenience caused during your stay. Your comments have been shared with the relevant teams and the homeowner to help ensure improvements moving forward. Thank you again for your feedback.

We loved staying at Saul's place. The villa was beautiful. It offered plenty of space for our group and the pool and hot tub were awesome. We had no difficulties at all getting either the shuttle or a taxi and found it easy to get to other Pueblo Bonito properties or to downtown. Saul's place offers a perfect balance of peace and quiet while at the villa, and a fun, lively atmosphere at the sister properties. We enjoyed both! All in all, it was a great stay! Tip: You need to ask for the 10% discount on food and beverage at the Pueblo Bonito restaurants, they do not automatically apply it. We did not realize this initially, but the front desk staff were wonderful and applied it retroactively for us.

We were the victims of a home robbery during our stay at the Villa. We were in the upstairs portion of the home and they came in from the lower level and stole Phones, Wallets, Bags, Clothes, Sunglasses, etc. we filed a report with security at the resort and they basically did nothing. We contacted the Host and they did nothing to support us or follow up. We paid to extended our stay two days to see if we could retrieve our things by working with security staff but to no avail. We’ve rented in this community many times before and never had an issue during our stays. The Villa is slightly outdated and could use a facelift. That said, it’s in a beautiful location and the host did a good job describing the home. In the end, we left without retrieving our stolen items. Scary part is they came in while we were in the home. It’s was most certainly a staff member….So be warned you cannot leave your sliding doors open in a tropical gated environment even when your home! Scary!

Just got back from a 3 night trip with 6 women in our 30’s, and highly recommend!! It’s the perfect mix of high end but in the middle of the hustle and bustle of cabo. Great hotel/staff/amenities. The beds and wifi were great. The penthouse was spectacular with amazing views. Only complaint would be the water in the showers wasn’t scorching hot like we liked it and only 2 elevators for like the whole place. Get ready to go up/down stairs!

The home is large and has a great lay out for families. However it is in desperate need of not only an up date but repairs. I would recommend texting in advance to make sure the house is stocked with miscellaneous items as well as propane for the grill and cushions on the outside furniture. The shower heads are in need of a soak in order to distribute water evenly. The view is amazing and the pool wonderfully warm. If you choose not to rent a car then my recommendation would be to rent a golf cart. It is a bit of a wait for their vehicles to pick you up.

We had a wonderful stay at Saul’s place in Cabo! The views from the property were absolutely beautiful and made for such a relaxing backdrop throughout our trip. We especially loved having the flexibility to cook our own meals in the unit or order room service directly through the hotel — it was the perfect balance of convenience and comfort. The location was another big highlight. It’s very central and walkable to Walmart and tons of local restaurants, which made it easy to grab groceries or head out for a casual dinner without needing transportation. A few aspects of the unit felt a bit outdated, and there were a couple minor maintenance items that could use attention, but nothing that took away from our overall experience. We had a great time and would definitely consider staying here again on a future trip to Cabo!

Second timing staying with Saul at the Pueblo Bonita Montecristo. Saul was helpful and easy to work with before and during visit. The villa we had was part of Phase 2 PCMC, which is a lot nicer than Phase 1. The doors on the top story that open all the way are magical… it feels so wonderful to have them open looking out on to the pacific an watching the whales jump (from a distance, bring binoculars). The infinity pool is also top notch. The kitchen is equipped, but there are not staples at all. Pueblo Bonita has made some changes and presented some challenges. Check in took 90 minutes, which was unexpected. Their on resort food prices have gone up a ton ($85 per person for the Sunday brunch) while the resort food and drink quality isn’t that great. Also Uber can no longer pick you up on property, so it’s a $20 taxi anytime you want to go down town. Also they now use an App for booking the free resort-to-resort shuttle, which never worked for us because we were AirBnB.

We have stayed at this resort before and absolutely loved it. We are thrilled to now have found that this unit is owned by one person so each time we rent it will be the same one. We stayed for two weeks and had our university aged children visit over the duration. I think next time we will book for one month because it’s so centrally located and easy to get to. Having a car is a must if you want to also go and visit all of the local gems with it a 10 to 15 minute drive. Prices to eat on property have really increased as has most of Cabo. We love the proximity to the marina because we like to go and walk early mornings and go for breakfast. The entire team on this listing was easy to reach for any small things that came up. We can’t wait to stay here again and we appreciated the heated pool because it was a bit chilly at the beginning of our stay. See you again soon!

Incredible stay!!! The house was so gorgeous and comfortable that we spent way more time than expected hanging around the heated pool, whale watching, and even cooking in the very nice kitchen! Housekeeping even came every day, even though we were only told to expect them every 3 days. We only had two very minor negatives. First, the pool was wonderful but there were some missing tiles and one of our people cut his toe pretty badly on a sharp edge, so be careful. We also chose to do the timeshare presentation, and our sales representative was... something. We received a two hour lecture that was about 20% about timeshares and the rest about 9/11, COVID conspiracy theories, and religion. (I'm underselling how weird it was, I promise you.) I don't think the Airbnb host had anything to do with that presentation, but just wanted to give others a warning if they choose to participate--the vouchers were nice, but it was an incredibly uncomfortable experience. That said, it amazing stay!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Saul's place to celebrate my wife's 60th Birthday with friends and family. Perfect location on the swimmable Medano Beach area and walking distance to town. The place is beautiful with sexy lighting and has very nice features as mentioned in the listing. Having the pool was awesome for those late night dips after coming back from a long day! It had everything we needed and more! Everyone at Pueblo Bonito was very kind and accommodating and Walmart is very close for groceries. We had a few dinners at the condo, a few in town and at the Resort restaurants. The check-in process was quite slow. The house is beautiful. Great location. Not much communication with instructions for leaving. Example, strip the beds or not. Mid stay had cleaning service arrive. Nice surprise, but unexpected. No communication about it.

My family of 4, wife, 2 15 yr olds, ventured here on a friend's recommendation. Takes a while to get here from where we live, so when we arrived, tired and at the end of a long day, and saw the place, we decided to add 2 more days. The villas are all very spacious, and the room to move around is large. The views are serene and dramatic of the Sea of Cortez. The shuttle service, vans going up and down the roads to the villas day and night, is prompt and easy to use. The infinity pool, as others have noted, is relaxing and offers dramatic views. The restaurants and vibe at the Market at Quivira is lively, and nice. Good selection of many types of food and treats there. It is crowded, but we never felt overwhelmed or burdened by this. The steak house at the golf course is great food, top notch service. As for the main clubhouse where you check in, there is a nice restaurant there with amenable hosts. This is a worthwhile trip for your family.

We had a lovely stay at Saul’s villa; it was perfectly located on the property, the view was spectacular and myself and my two teenage adults had individual space and privacy with the layout of beds/baths. It is big for 3 people but that was by design. The villa would easily and comfortably fit 2 families! We has a great time enjoying the private pool and hot tub! The only minor downside (which I believe others noted) is the logistics; we did spend time shuttling to and fro for check-in, getting taxis, etc, took more time than I would have preferred. That said, we made new friends in the process! Thanks to Saul and team!

I must say overall Pueblo Bonito Montecristo is a beautiful resort with an Airbnb as an excellent gem. The space was perfect to accommodate our family during the Christmas holidays. All of the amenities made it worth the venture. The only negative I would mention is improve customer service among the staff at front desk/concierge service , which would have made our check-in and checkout process much easier.

We had a wonderful stay at this house. The place was very clean and well maintained, which made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The pool was beautiful and a great spot to relax and enjoy our time together. Overall, we had a very pleasant and comfortable stay and truly enjoyed the house. The only small issue was that the jacuzzi was not working properly during our visit, but it didn’t take away from our overall experience. What a great villa! Spectacular views for the private infinity pool! This place was incredible and tucked away on a huge piece of property. The bedrooms are very large and plenty of closet space. We used the kitchen ,which had everything you need . Quivira golf course, on site, is one of the top courses in Mexico. Definitely worth playing plus a members discount for staying on the property. Saul was a great host as well. We had a small communication error on his availability but outside of that, he was a pleasure to work with and I'd definitely stay there again!

Amazing place - views and quality of the rooms! There was an issue with the drain in one of the bathrooms but the hotel maintenance team was super responsive and resolved the issue immediately. Every day hotel housekeeping staff checked in and kept the place clean. Room service was also very responsive. We added the all-inclusive with the hotel and it made it an amazing trip!

The house has astonishing views of the Pacifico Ocean. The pool is crystal clean and the Jacuzzi works really well. I might stay there again when the time comes. the downside is that it is really difficult to leave the resort to catch an uber and can only leave by taxi (from the property) since the gate is a 30 minute steep walk UBER drivers are not allowed past the security gate, the resort wont take you to the entrance neither. all this was a problem for us when we ran out of goods at any point in the day.
