Mexico’s premier resort corridor, this stretch of coastline offers a more expansive, refined experience than the region’s urban centers. Spanning roughly 20 miles between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo, it’s where the country’s most recognizable luxury brands - Auberge, Montage, and One&Only - have established their flagships. The setting is unmistakably Baja: desert cliffs and ochre hillsides dropping into the deep blues of the Sea of Cortez, with championship golf courses woven into the landscape by legends such as Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods.
Rather than a single continuous beach, the Corridor is defined by a series of sheltered coves and bays. Places like Chileno Bay and Santa María Bay are protected marine sanctuaries, known for exceptionally clear water and some of the best snorkeling in Baja. Several of these beaches carry Blue Flag certification, reflecting high standards for water quality and environmental care—an appealing alternative for travelers who find the main city beaches too busy.
The Corridor suits travelers who want space, privacy, and resort-level amenities without feeling cut off. While getting around typically requires a car or shuttle, its central position makes it an easy base: mornings spent golfing or snorkeling, afternoons at the spa, and evenings split between the nightlife of Cabo San Lucas and the galleries and restaurants of San José del Cabo.
