I thought the place was very nice. It was clean, private and peaceful. You could also walk to local restaurants and the beach was a short drive away (you could also walk it if you like). The hosts were very responsive and welcoming, I would stay there again in the future.

Beautiful home! We loved our time here. It’s a lovely oasis during the dry season. We came with two couples and our daughter. The layout was amazing with 4 king suites, and ac units in each suite. Not necessarily the most ideal for young children as there are lots of small concrete steps/architectural features. You do need a car or transportation to the beach, or restaurants. We felt safe, and relaxed, and would stay here again for sure.

This villa is absolutely amazing. A peaceful haven minutes from the beach. The beds are so comfortable that you’d be tempted to stay in bed all day, but the place is simply too beautiful to do that. There could be a few more cooking utensils, but overall, everything is perfectly functional. The pool is maintained every day, and the hosts are very generous with their advice and responses. We have to go back!

I stayed at this place through Airbnb and it was really a wonderful experience. The room is quite nice, it even looks better in person than in the pictures. The structure is modern and very well designed, which makes the stay comfortable and pleasant. Outside the room there is a hammock perfect for resting and enjoying the natural environment. The area is surrounded by nature and is currently being reforested, which gives it a very special atmosphere. During our stay we had the incredible experience of seeing a family of howler monkeys pass just a meter from the room, something really magical. The pool is phenomenal, very relaxing and perfect for disconnecting. In addition, the hosts were very friendly and allowed me to stay a few extra hours, which is greatly appreciated when you are traveling. One of my favourite Airbnb experiences! We loved this place for travelling with a group. It had private rooms as well as areas more than big enough that everyone could sit together. The property is absolutely beautiful and the hosts were kind and responsive. We also liked that we were a bit out of the more touristy areas and felt like we got a more authentic experience. We’re already planning a trip back!

It was an absolute pleasure staying here, and it was THE PERFECT private getaway for our trip! The house in general was beautifully designed, with a nice outdoor patio area and a spacious bathroom. The area (playa negra) is quiet and has amazing restaurants nearby, as well as easy access to a calm, locals beach! I’d absolutely 100% come back here on my next stay to Costa Rica. Great place to stay in the countryside. Everything super clean. Very well equipped kitchen. Great pool. There are many beautiful beaches and restaurants in the area, a great café and a small supermarket are within walking distance. The hosts are super friendly and straightforward. We were allowed to use the pool even longer after check-out. Thank you again for everything!

This home is tranquility! Feels new and modern while also blending in beautifully with nature. Super close to beautiful Playa Negra and great restaurants. We love this neighborhood. But most days were spent laying by the pool in comfy bean bags reading books, napping on the cozy outdoor furniture and just enjoying our beautiful surroundings. Bed's were super comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked. We made meals at home easily. Beach is a 5 minute drive and we caught the sunset there each night. Hosts were super friendly and attentive although we needed nothing during our stay. 10/10 would recommend!

Christian's place is a paradise oasis. We liked the privacy at the house and the opportunity to meet the hosts and other guests at the communal pool. The grounds are beautiful. The hosts are dedicated to reforestation and have developed a lovely property with lots of nature surrounding it. We loved just hanging out in the hammock and listening to the sounds of nature or spotting animals. On the property we had the pleasure of seeing howler monkeys, an armadillo, a snake, and many species of birds including a mot mot. Although the property is vibrant in January, the surrounding area is very dry and dusty. The dirt in the air from the roads irritated my lungs. I wouldn't want to walk on the roads this time of year. The surrounding beaches were very quiet and natural, with strong currents. They are more suited to surfing than swimming. We are grateful for Christian's oasis and the hosts' reforestation work at their own and surrounding properties.

We loved our stay here. The pool was great, the rooms were comfy, and the AC in the rooms was nice and cold. The location was perfect—close to a beautiful beach and only about a 40-minute drive to Tamarindo. Tons of great restaurants nearby too. Our family of four had an amazing time and would 100% stay here again.

The ReTree villa was a perfect stop for my friends and I during our trip to Costa Rica. The shared spaces are perfect and the bedrooms were all comfortable. Great location near Playa Negra, would definitely come back and stay again.

10/10 — Everything was wonderful. The pictures don’t do justice to how beautiful the home is. It’s in a great location: peaceful, yet still close enough to the city. Coraline was very attentive and communicative, providing excellent suggestions and support throughout the trip.

We highly reccomend this beautiful air b n b . It's located in a very peaceful and beautiful setting surrounded by troprical trees and plants. The interior is very well laid out ~it's sunny and spacious. The apartment is custom designed with a modern yet tico decor. We also loved the outdoor patio with a built in sofa, table and chairs and hammock for al freso dining and relaxing. Christian and Caroline were a pleasure and very accomodating. We would definately go back!

We had a pleasant stay at the lodge. The park that has been created is truly beautiful, and the houses are very well designed with a lot of attention to detail. Waking up to the sounds of birds and animals in the morning was especially lovely and made the experience feel very peaceful and close to nature.

Amazing and beautiful space.

Honestly one of the most unique and beautiful places we’ve stayed. I thought the photos might be too good to be true, but this property is more stunning in person. The majority of the living space being outside let us really immerse ourselves in the natural environment, and the private bedroom suites were perfect for giving family members a quiet (and air conditioned) place to wind down at the end of the day. We heard howler monkeys and had other cute animal visitors daily. The location was perfect for us - peaceful and private but with fantastic restaurants within walking distance and a great beach nearby. Easy driving distance to more typical tourist attractions too, if that’s your thing. The hosts were super responsive to any questions and graciously accommodated our late check in due to flight timing.

This is one of the most beautiful places we have stayed. We really loved the focus that Sylvain and Caroline have on the natur and that is just paying back. The garden where the houses and the pool is located is so beautiful and everything is so nice and clean. Thank you for sharing your perfect little place with us 🙏🏻

I've been in CR on and off for 17 years and frequently stay in Guana. We were so happy to finally get to stay with C&C! Their place is not only wonderful and feels like true Guanacaste, but they are wonderful humans. They are super kind, communicative, professional, and thoughtful. Stay here and support the concept of preserving the beautiful Costa Rican jungles and forests as they are and should be. We felt so grateful to be able to stay somewhere with hosts that are focused on preservation and eco-consciousness. The location is perfect and tranquil and close to my favorite cafes new location. The house is exactly the way the pictures are. It was immaculate. It was just beautiful.

Stayed here with some friends and we couldn’t be happier. The property was absolutely beautiful and clean. We appreciated the outdoor communal space and separated bedrooms (each with their own bathroom). Just as promised, it is a peaceful area where you’ll get to experience nature unlike the more touristy areas. We loved seeing and hearing the monkeys everyday that live in the trees right outside the villa, along with all the wildlife we saw during our nighttime drives back. You’re only a short drive away from the beach and plenty of amazing food options. This is the perfect place for those who want to be away from all the noise, have a car, and want to enjoy the pool and meals together but still get the privacy of going back to separate villas/bedrooms.

Absolutely incredible stay at this tropical Airbnb in Playa Negra, Costa Rica! The house was tucked into lush greenery, just a short walk from the beach with epic sunsets and warm, clear water. The space was clean, beautifully designed, and felt like a private jungle retreat. We loved waking up to the sounds of howler monkeys and birds every morning. Great location, this truly a secluded retreat. Very peaceful and quiet surroundings. Nature is all around and the beautiful open ceiling house make it as if you are staying outdoors. It was a pleasure to stay at Caroline's house. She does great work accommodating her guest needs.

We spent a week at the villa in Los Pargos. Christian and Caroline were very proactive and helped us with the questions we had. They went beyond our requests. The rooms were well equipped and the place very peaceful and welcoming. On the other hand, there was no wooden platform for yoga, as indicated in the photos. It was concrete which would sometimes make the exercise difficult. 🫠 Otherwise it was great. Thanks for a great week!

Such a beautiful space. We travelled as an extended family and really enjoyed the privacy of our own villa while having great family time in the common living spaces. It was a unique living experience with the open air living room/kitchen area and we LOVED it! Thank you for the amazing vacation!

This is a beautiful spot. It’s quiet, peaceful and very close to our Favorite beach Playa Negra! The cabina was super clean and a great place to chill and listen to nature for a reset! Our hosts were lovely, very responsive to any messages sent and treated us very kindly. Well worth the cost and we will go back again!

Caro and Christian’s villa was a perfect spot for our stay in Costa Rica! Each room was comfortable, clean, well air-conditioned (much appreciated after long days outside). The outdoor pool, kitchen, and living area were great for lounging as a group and very photo friendly. Very nice stay in Los Nancites. Beautiful peaceful place perfect for family vacations. The accommodation was very comfortable with young children, the pool nice and we really enjoyed the terrace to have all our meals. I would recommend it in a second.

Los Nancites was the perfect spot for us. Beautiful, quiet and private. Looked exactly like the photos and everything was as described. The garden and pool area were even better than anticipated. The hosts were kind and welcoming. Located very close to a small grocery store and lots of good restaurants. So peaceful. 5 minute drive to beach. We will for sure be back!

The hosts were very nice and welcomed us warmly. The space is even nicer than the photos. Everyone has not been able to withdraw their private space. This is a beautiful complex. Very well maintained. And lots of nature. We had our peace at all times and were able to spend the evenings on our own terrace, with hammock and very nice seating area !!! The sense of space at the apartment was amazing. The pool was very clean and swept, as was the outdoor area! The bed was very clean as well as the whole apartment. We felt like at home. Unfortunately, we were only there for a few days. We will come back for a longer period at the beginning. For me, the best places Costa Rica had was!!!! I also want to give more stars. But unfortunately there are only five stars on Airbnb. ;-) Continue success with your project

Such a unique stay! The design of the villa was stunning, so well done. I was a bit worried about the main living area being entirely outside / open air but we didn’t deal with hardly any bugs in March. The neighborhood monkeys were a treat! I didn’t realize when we booked how remote it was, definitely a quiet / sleepy area but with close access to a really nice beach which was perfect for sunset. We drove to Tamarindo for a day trip and enjoyed that. Overall, a super unique and secluded getaway.

Such a unique and beautiful space! It was the perfect set up for our group of 6 adults. Everyone had their own space, while also enjoying all of the outdoor space together. The location was perfect for our surf-loving group. Easy access to a number of great beaches and plenty of great little spots for coffee, food, groceries, etc. Loved waking to the sounds of the birds & monkeys! Pura Vida!

This home is extremely private and completely embraces the inside and outside living! We had a wonderful time here. The breeze throughout the day was wonderful and kept you feeling comfortable while you enjoyed the outdoor living space. The rooms were all clean, beds comfortable and a stocked kitchen to prepare your meals as you like. We went to two nearby beaches and experienced the most beautiful sunsets! Everything you need close by and out of the very touristy areas which was great for us. It is located about 40 mins from Tamarindo so that was a fun day trip for us but we enjoyed being back at the house to relax in the sunshine! This place was in a lovely location close to a beautiful beach which had hardly anyone there. Local restaurants were close by and the accommodation was just as pictured in the photos. I would definitely go there again.

Went far beyond our expectations - it was the highlight of my friend group's trip to Costa Rica.

Wonderful stay at Los Nancites. Accommodations were comfortable with a great outside sitting area, overlooking the yard with beautiful native vegetation, birds and monkeys made an everyday appearance, great place to stay and enjoy Costa Rica's nature.

This place was absolute perfection!! It was well-maintained and WAY better in person... The pictures don't do it justice. We saw Howler monkeys every day, lizards, frogs, horses, friendly dogs and the occasional really cool insect (Stick Bugs and beautiful dragon-flys. The grocery stores and beaches were VERY close by (4 minute drive to Playa Negra and about 10-14 minutes to Playa Avellana (both gorgeous beaches with great surfing - I highly recommend Lola's for dinner). The neighbourhood was very quiet and the locals and tourists were very nice. The sunsets on the beach were gorgeous! Carolina was extremely responsive and an overall great host. She went above and beyond and made sure everything was on point for us. I highly recommend this Airbnb.

I recently stayed at this beautiful Airbnb. The host was very accommodating, the place was clean with a lovely aesthetic, and the pool was perfect. Conveniently located near nice restaurants and a 15-minute walk to the beach. Ideal for a peaceful break from busy life. It's 40 minutes from Tamarindo, great for those who enjoy nightlife. Consider getting a driver or renting a car if you plan frequent trips to Tamarindo. Additionally, renting a golf cart from Tamarindo and having it delivered is a quick way to explore the neighborhood. Everyone around was friendly. Highly recommend!

Little slice of heaven in a house with lots of charm. We were very well hosted and advised by Caroline and Sylvain and spent 2 days quiet enjoying the beach (a few minutes' drive away) and the pool. We also had the chance to meet howler monkeys at the property! Thanks for everything!

Quiet, clean, private and beautiful place

Over all very pleased with the accommodations and Christian the host! Property was as advertised and is beautiful, private and close to beaches and great restaurants! Only minor complaints that made this slightly less than perfect vacation stay. We booked for 8 days so needed fresh towels (bath primarily) after 4 days, took over 24 hrs took get new towels, I understand that you have policy of 10 days but this is unrealistic and unreasonable. Second, for such a beautiful pool, deck and space having only one lounge chair to use poolside or deck was disappointing. We had to wrap (Saran clear plastic)a second chair found in closet to make it usable. Again great place and great host, minor fixable issues! Would highly recommend this Airbnb!

Christian and Caroline were awesome hosts. They were easy to contact and ask questions and very helpful. We went there looking for a place to just relax with our daughters who had just gotten out of the hospital and that’s exactly what we did. They can also provide excursions if that’s what you want but we decided to just hang at the house. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.

This place is a piece of paradise, whose owners hold the place harmoniously with nature! Very quiet, safe and friendly. The conduct rules are clear, we want a quiet place and that suited me perfectly! Owners are passionate about the country, the area, and nature. They communicate this passion in a very pleasant and committed way. The units are beautiful! Buildings with beautiful architectural details that make it very comfortable and warm. Our stay at Los Nacites was excellent. We arrived a few hours early during a heavy rainstorm and the hosts went out of their way to check us in as quickly as possible. The Villa was extremely nice with a beautiful patio overlooking the grounds and the pool. It was quiet and peaceful nestled amongst nature but just a short 4 minute drive to Playa Negra and some great restaurants. We were visited by monkeys almost everyday during our stay as they roamed the property eating fruit from the trees. We will definitely stay at Los Nacites in the future when we return to the area.

This was hands down the best vacation ever and largely in part due to the accomodations. The villa literally was everything we needed to disconnect from the stressful side of life and enjoy vacation. The beach is literally 5 mins away, multiple food options, the major city is about a 30 mins drive and perfect to go and come back to the wonderful house. The host are absolutely amazing , recommending local food spots , and even helped get me a panda cake for my girlfriend for her birthday from a local baker! (CAKE WAS DELICIOUS!) We have nothing bad to say about our trip except it ended lol.

A beautiful, magical stay! We traveled with 7 guests and all had plenty of room—great airbnb to travel with a larger group. I’ve also spent time in Montezuma, Tamarindo, and Las Catalinas—the beach closest to this airbnb, Playa Negra, was hands down my favorite. Playa Negra and a supermercado are within walking distance but having some sort of vehicle or “scooter” is helpful (beach is less than a 5-min drive). Caroline was a wonderful host—very responsive and helped facilitate surfing lessons, among other things. The surrounding neighborhood was beautiful, an absolutely perfect place to unwind. We hope to be back soon!

An absolutely stunning hidden gem close to Playa Negra. Sylvain and Caroline, the couple running the place, do it with a massive amount of passion, which is clearly reflected in their beautiful, diverse, secret garden. I’ll never look for another place when I’m in this region. It’s truly a calm oasis, perfect for recharging in nature, and just a couple of minutes walk to everything you need. Perfect for a couple of days or weeks getaway from the more crowded towns nearby. Works excellently for long term stays too.

A great place to stay close to the beach with great sunsets. There was plenty of shade and a great pool. Perfect for staying with children. We spontaneously stayed 2 nights longer and would be happy to come back.

We had a great time at Caroline and Christian 's. The Airbnb is very quiet, very intimate and well-equipped. The surrounding area is beautiful with several beaches 5 min drive away. Don't hesitate to check it out!

A stunningly beautiful home. We loved our stay. A 4x4 vehicle is a must, the area is natural and relaxed with a surfer vibe. The local town has restaurants and great coffee shops very close by. The nearest beach is 5-10 mins drive. Tamarindo and other resort towns are only 30 mins away too.

Bit of a drive from the airport to the house but when you get there it’s all worth it !! Beautiful layout and environment . Pictures don’t do it justice. The beach was less than 13 minutes drive. Would stay here again next time in Costa Rica 🇨🇷

This villa is stunning! The gardens are immaculately manicured and so well maintained, I would sit outside for hours just admiring it. So many birds to spot! The villa was comfortable and well laid out, the two bedrooms (and two bathrooms!) made it perfect for privacy (we were two friends). You will need a car, we took a cab from the airport and even though the beach is not far, it’s about 25 minute walk and in the hot sun and dirt roads it’s not easy. One thing that would improve the stay was if the host provided cooking basics like oil, salt and pepper. There is a small shop not far down the road to pick up essentials but it’s a nice touch to provide them for guests (we didn’t buy that stuff from the market since we would use so little, would be nice to have that as an amenity). The pool was perfect when you need to cool off and didn’t make it to the beach. Overall you will LOVE this villa! We certainly did!

We enjoyed the place a lot and we will come defiantly back. Very Soon. The place is even better than on the pictures and we loved the silence.

Stayed here for about 5 days and it was so wonderful. Luckily we didn’t have anyone staying directly next door to us so it was very private, however it’s private enough anyway if someone is staying next door. Very close to some very beautiful beaches at Playa Negra and Playa Avellanas. The area also had some nice cafes and little restaurants we were happy to visit. Close little market nearby as well. If you want quiet, private beaches and to surf (probably beginner - intermediate) then I can’t recommend this place enough. Honestly don’t have anything too negative to say about this place. It’s right in the woods so a decent amount of bugs are to be expected. If you can pack a thermarest or mattress foam I would recommend doing so. Our only complaint would be the spring mattress, but even then, you’re so tired by the end of the day it doesn’t matter too much!

Christian is available and has good advice. He can arrange excursions and experiences in the area.

We had a wonderful time at Christian's house. Its very well designed and super comfortable. The house layout is genius. The entrance and open living space is grandiose and so welcoming ! Christian was super nice with us. We had some laundry to do and during one of our day trips she did all our laundry so nicely . She truly understands what is to be a super host that through thoughtful details create a rememberable experience. Highly recommendable ! All five stars !

Very nice duplex style units, with access to a beautiful well maintained pool. Each unit has a private place to sit at outside and relax. The pictures are very accurate. The place was very clean and the employees around the property were all super kind. It’s about a 5 minute walk to the nearest mini mart, 12 minutes to a few places to eat, and about 20 minutes to total to Playa Negra. Dirt road, moderately trafficked, but a pleasant walk. Very quiet property.

This stay was my third at Los Nancites. I love the aesthetic of the buildings - so simple and clean - and the grounds are lovely. I always see tons of birds, and sometimes monkeys. It is quiet. A little oasis in Playa Negra and a great starting point for all sorts of adventures. Christian and his family are welcoming and friendly hosts.
