Casa Bamboo

Excellent, 1 week ago

Very nice house, good location. Susan was super friendly. Spacious, clean... They cleaned for us. It has a beautiful pool.

This was truly one of the best places we’ve ever stayed! The house is incredibly spacious, beautifully designed, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. It offers breathtaking views, beaches within walking distance, and an amazing team of friendly, helpful staff who made our stay even more special. Our whole family absolutely fell in love with this place! Thank you for such an unforgettable experience. We would definitely love to come back! ❤️

I would love to start off by saying how beautiful Casa Elsa is, it was by far one of the most beautiful houses we have stayed at in CR. Amazing views, beds were so comfortable, the bathrooms were beautiful with the waterfall showers, and the open-air concept was exquisite. And don't forget the pool with the suburb views of the Pacific! Susan was there to greet us when we drove in from SJO and helpful with all our questions and restaurant suggestions and the staff were outstanding. Manuel Antonio was beautiful and the restaurants we were referred to were top notch. If you want to see monkey's, this is the place to be... Monkey's every morning and most evenings. This was my birthday celebration, and the private chef was top notch. I can't say enough as to how great our stay was and I would recommend Casa Elsa to anyone looking for a luxury home in the area. We will be back and of course, referring all our friends who plan to travel that way. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

We stayed at La Casa Roja for 5 nights. Home was just as pictured. Very clean, comfortable, a/c in the bedrooms and beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the pool in the afternoons after activities (zip line at Sukia Park & Zipline tour, Manuel Antonio National Park & beach,Ocean King Catamaran day tour, Real Adventure ATV). Highly recommend all these amazing activities. Breakfast at Emilio’s was delicious (if you can make it up the hill LOL! Would highly recommend booking with Scott!!

Our family of 10 spend 3 nights over the Labor day weekend at Casa Tranquilidad. It was an outstanding experience. Our concierge Susan was extremely helpful to advice and arrange our whole trip. As a result our Costa Rica experience was one of the best we have had in recent memory. Our chefs Roberto and Renzo were outstanding in their care in preparing and serving all the meals, being mindful and professional about all our requests. All the the meals were equal if not better than restaurant quality. We were honored and grateful to receive such personal care and attention. I'd like to give them 10 stars.

We had a wonderful time here! The open air concept is perfect to see wildlife. We saw a lot of monkeys, a few sloths (we got the best views of sloths the whole trip here), birds, and lots of lizards. The rooms have really great AC, so you have a nice area to cool down in the heat of Costa Rica. The primary bedroom is amazing, and the shower was very nice. The house is located down a steep hill with no sidewalks, but if you are fine with that, there’s plenty of places within walking distance. We walked up the hill multiple mornings and had beautiful breakfast views at Emilio’s Cafe. It’s probably a 7-10 minute walk up the hill. There is a wonderful beach down the road a bit and to the left off a gravel road. It takes about 25 minutes downhill to walk, but it is steep. You can get around without renting a car if you don’t mind using taxis, but definitely need transportation due to hills. I wish Airbnb didn’t limit # of words in a review because I have so many good things to say!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Scott’s beautiful home! The house is spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with cozy beds that made it easy to relax after a day of exploring. We especially loved the tropical setting, having visits from the capuchin monkeys, watching the beautiful birds, and listening to the cicadas made the experience feel truly special. Scott was an excellent host, and Susan, the concierge, was incredibly helpful from start to finish. She provided wonderful recommendations and arranged everything we needed, making our stay completely seamless. Communication with both Scott and Susan was excellent! They were responsive, friendly, and always happy to help. We highly recommend staying here and would love to return!

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Bamboo! It’s such an amazing property in the middle of rainforest. To be surrounded by nature was such an experience. We saw more animals than in 2 parks we visited. Monkeys (very cheeky, came to seating area to look around), sloth, agouti, blue butterflies every morning, lizards and iguanas, birds, even “honey bear” every evening after dark on the tree above swimming pool. The house is equipped with everything you need, 2 kitchens (downstairs and upstairs), 4 bedrooms with AC, but the best part is the seating area upstairs overlooking swimming pool and rainforest. Just amazing! Laura, our housekeeper was great, always attentive and welcoming. Susan, the concierge, was very helpful and knowledgeable, gave us good advice and suggestions in regards to shops, restaurants, market, parking etc. Scott, the owner was also checking on us, which we appreciated. The house is close to Manuel Antonio park (10 min drive) and various beaches and activities.

Scott was very easy to communicate with through Airbnb and provided us with a beautiful place to stay during our stay in Manuel Antonio. House looks exactly like the photos if not even better in person. Our concierge Wai was very proactive in reaching out to us along the way of our trip and was very welcoming and informative about the local area. Wai even arrived early on the day of our checkout to say goodbye. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you Scott and Wai.

Very nice accommodation. The outdoor areas, especially the patio and pool, are fantastic. The staff we met, especially Suzan and Andrea, are very friendly and helpful. However, there is still a problem with the showers, because if several of us take a shower at the same time, we no longer have hot water or flow, and this is still problematic given the standard of the house and its cost.

Host Response

Thank you for your thoughtful review. We’re so glad you enjoyed the property, especially the terrace and pool, and that Suzan and Andrea made you feel welcomed and well taken care of. We truly appreciate your kind words about our team. We also appreciate you bringing the shower issue to our attention. We understand that consistent hot water and water pressure when multiple showers are being used are important, particularly for a home of this standard. Since your stay, we have thoroughly checked the system. Our testing included a pressure test at each individual shower as well as running the hot water for an extended period of time, and both the water pressure and hot water are currently working as expected. Our showers use a three-valve system, which can be a little unfamiliar if you haven’t used this type of setup before. During your stay, we even sent an instructional video explaining how to properly operate the shower system to help ensure you were getting the intended water pressure and temperature. That said, we understand that the system may not be immediately intuitive for every guest, and we’ll continue looking for ways to make its operation as clear and straightforward as possible. Thank you again for staying with us and for taking the time to share your feedback.

We had a fantastic stay at Casa Elza. The house is beautiful and the setting is even better than the pictures. The open-air living, dining and kitchen area overlooking the jungle really makes you feel like you’re in Costa Rica—you’ll even get the occasional wildlife visitor! The bedrooms were comfortable and air-conditioned, and the house worked extremely well for our group. The location was also excellent: close to restaurants, Manuel Antonio, Quepos and everything we wanted to do, while still feeling private and surrounded by nature. We especially enjoyed relaxing at the house after our excursions and just taking in the views and sounds of the jungle. It was a great home base for our Costa Rica vacation and we’d definitely recommend Casa Elza to families or groups visiting Manuel Antonio. The best part might have been Susan the concierge. She was amazing. She helped make the vacation one of our best.

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Elsa. We were a family of six with four teenagers, and it was the perfect home base in Manuel Antonio. The house is surrounded by lush rainforest with beautiful Pacific views, yet still very convenient to the beaches, restaurants and National Park. The house was spacious, comfortable and very well equipped, with plenty of cookware, dishes and basic supplies. Susan, the house manager, was fantastic… responsive, incredibly helpful and very accommodating with our arrival and special requests. She made everything easy from start to finish. Casa Elsa gave us exactly the tropical Costa Rica experience we were hoping for. We would absolutely stay here again.

Best place to stay I've had on all my trips! The open air allows you to truly experience nature. We saw capuchins several times, and they passed very close by. Howler monkeys greeted us twice with their cries, macaws fly over the area, and raccoons and coatis roam around... in short, it's the full package! 😀 The entire team is very attentive and provides exceptional service. This was our first family trip with 5- and 9-year-olds, and the bar is very high after this place.

The place you want for a gorgeous and peaceful rainforest stay close to town. It offers a beautiful Spanish villa setting tucked away deep into the rainforest only a few minutes from downtown Quepos that seems to turn off most if not all city sounds, especially early in the morning and later in the evening so you can enjoy the sights and sounds of nature right off your balcony and pool. We had all sorts of monkeys, pezotes, birds, lizards and butterflies constantly gracing us with their presence. We couldn’t get enough of the open air living and dining room located at the back of the second floor balcony. While only the bedrooms have AC, tons of ceiling fan and a bit of imagination allowed us to have cooler areas to enjoy during the hotter and muggier periods of the day. Also, the pool enjoys tons of shade in the afternoon when the sun is high due to the thick canopy around the house. A very special thank you to our concierge Susan and cleaner Laura for taking such good care of us. 5*

In a word- magical. Nestled in the hills of Manuel Antonio is this gem of a place. I can’t say enough good things about Scott’s place or about the people that support this Airbnb. From the concierge Susan to the daily maid service (our clothes would be washed and neatly folded waiting after the days activities) to Alessandro the personal chef who made us a lovely dinner. They were all incredible. Scott sent excellent recommendations for local restaurants over around check-in. The whole group that supports this place ensures that the stay is nothing short of memorable. The description of the house is accurate but we especially enjoyed the newly renovated bathrooms in each of the rooms, the pool table, taking dips in the pool and soaking up all the beauty and nature that surround and visit you during your stay. Thank you for everything and we look forward to coming back and sharing with others in our family.

Brought my kids and my grand kids here. The house was amazing! Looks the same as the pictures. Lots of monkeys, birds and other wildlife coming through daily. Susan the concierge was top notch. She helped us out with an everything from local restaurants, to helping us open safes. Bedrooms were nice and chilly and the main rooms were very inviting. The maid was outstanding and the chefs that were scheduled for us were outstanding. I recommend this house 100%. Scott’s on top of his game with this one! Thanks for the incredible time and memories made!

We had such a wonderful stay at Casa Calma. Scott's house was gorgeous. It felt like you were right in the jungle but only a few minutes away from everywhere we wanted to go. The house was so clean and the kids loved playing in the pool every day. Wai contacted us immediately after booking to help organize tours for us. Our kids (3, 6 and 9) absolutely loved Sukias Zip Lining and we saw so many animals at Manual Antonia with a tour guide. Wai met us when we first checked in to show us the house and checked in the make sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The location was great and all of the restaurants, beaches and tours we wanted to go to were less than 5 minutes away, which made it easy to go back to the house to relax in between outings. Overall, would highly recommend!!

Casa Bamboo is a wonderful home away from home! The concierge, Susan, was very helpful and responsive - she showed up 5 minutes after we discovered the keys were locked inside the house to rescue us! Being completely surrounded by the rainforest was an amazing experience. We were visited by monkeys, we saw a sloth in the tree, and we listened to the sounds of howler monkeys at sunrise and sunset. The housekeepers did an amazing job of keeping everything clean, including laundry, so it felt like a true vacation. Maybe important to know - the house is at the bottom of a very steep neighborhood. We had no trouble getting taxis to come to us. But if you want to take the bus to town, I believe you have to walk to the top of the neighborhood, which was prohibitive for my in-laws. The rest of us made it fine, and there is a great spot just outside the neighborhood with restaurants and a souvenir shop. A few minute drive to beautiful beaches and many adventurous activities. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. The home’s open-air upstairs living area made it feel like you were right in the jungle—such a beautiful and unique experience. We loved seeing monkeys and hearing the howler monkeys right from the house. Downstairs had two comfortable bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, plus a private pool that was perfect for relaxing. Carlos was a great host, and Wai, the on-site concierge, was wonderful. He welcomed us, helped book our fishing trip, Manuel Antonio National Park tour, and an in-house chef, and was very easy to reach. He even came by to say goodbye the morning we left, which was a really nice touch. The home is open to nature, so you do get a true jungle experience. The house was cleaned daily, and the location was excellent—close to the beach, restaurants, and everything we wanted to do. Overall, a really unique and memorable stay—we would definitely come back.

Beautiful home & separate casita was perfect for our 3 generation family reunion. We played in the pool everyday & enjoyed the pool table as well. The open air concept works here, with the fans blowing its comfortable even in rainy season. Beds were comfortable & it was nice to see cotton sheets instead of the microfiber- hot & sticky. Bathroom had the essentials. Glad there was an outdoor shower by the pool & plenty of towels for everyone and even took them to the beach. Susan our concierge is super helpful. Knows everyone in town and had good recommendations. The cleaning staff & grounds/ pool maintenance was also professional and kind. Enjoyed laundry service! We love coming to Costa Rica because the people are happy, friendly & helpful The kitchen island had plenty of barstools for kids to sit and eat or chat & the dining table had 10 chairs. Enough for everyone. Saw monkeys, bird, butterflies & lizards. Missed the sloth here but saw one at the beach. Pura Vida!

Fantastic and Great. Beautiful setting. Monkeys and toucans and other birds in the backyard in the mornings. Kitchen was superbly equipped. Great bathrooms for each bedroom. Pool was great. We wished that the spa was heated and the common spaces were air conditioned. The bedrooms were great for a cool retreat. The common spaces were hot and humid with loud noisy fans trying to cool the space. The road to get to the house is obstacle strewn and steep not unlike a lot of other roads in the area. Housekeeping was the best and is included but know that there is an expectation of a tip. Concierge services are available also with tip expectations.

Host Response

Thank you for your detailed review! We're delighted you enjoyed the beautiful setting, the wildlife, the well-equipped kitchen, the private bathrooms, the pool, and especially our housekeeping team. It means a lot to know those aspects helped make your stay memorable. We'd also like to clarify a couple of points for future guests. Our listing clearly notes that air conditioning is provided in the bedrooms only, while the home's common areas are open-air by design to take advantage of the tropical setting and surrounding nature. Likewise, the jacuzzi is listed as non-heated, and this is also included in our house rules, so guests know what to expect before booking. As you mentioned, the roads in this area can be steep and adventurous, which is typical for this beautiful part of Costa Rica. We're glad you found our housekeeping and concierge teams helpful. While gratuities are always appreciated by our staff, they are completely optional and never required. Thank you again for staying with us. We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you back for another stay in paradise.

Our family had an amazing stay! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. The home was spotless, and having our laundry done daily was such a wonderful luxury that made our vacation even more relaxing. A special thank you to Chef Roberto, who prepared absolutely delicious meals for us. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. He made dining one of the highlights of our trip! Susan, the concierge, was fantastic before we even arrived. She helped us plan our excursions, answered all of our questions, and made the entire process seamless. One of our favorite parts of the stay were the monkeys and toucans in the trees every day right from the villa! We were pleasantly surprised that there were far fewer bugs than we expected. The beach was beautiful, peaceful, and never crowded. The walk was a bit longer than expected for our kids, but it was worth it. We’d gladly stay here again and highly recommend this villa for a memorable getaway!

Scott’s place was absolutely amazing! This Airbnb was more than just a house, it was an incredible experience. The house was as beautiful in person as the photos and the views from the open air balconies of both the jungle and wildlife (monkeys/sloths/lizards & more) and the ocean is stunning. The house has multiple hangout spaces and was super comfortable for our family group of 10. It is also walkable to both the beach and restaurants. Then when you add in the addition of the concierge who will book everything for you and the chef (book the chef they are incredible!) this was an Airbnb for us that we never wanted to leave! This house truly had it all! We can’t wait to stay here again!

Scott has created an amazing home! We celebrated both my boyfriend's and my 60th birthdays here with 13 family members and friends, ages 14–60, and it was perfect. The house was spacious, beautiful, and everyone had a fantastic time. We loved spending evenings in the pool and mornings watching monkeys and birds while enjoying coffee on the porch. Susan, the concierge, was incredible. She arranged our surfing, ziplining, tubing, and national park tours and responded immediately to every question. The chef prepared three amazing breakfasts and three delicious dinners, making our family time even more special. Our housekeeper kept the home spotless and even did our laundry! Every detail exceeded our expectations. Scott and his entire team made this a vacation we'll never forget. If you're looking for the perfect place to stay in Costa Rica, this is it. We can't wait to come back!

La Casa Roja was absolutely amazing! The open air living space was so neat and exactly how it was described. We saw monkeys, sloths, and birds almost every day. The house was spacious and comfortable and close to the beach and restaurants. Wai, the concierge, was super helpful in settling up excursions and available to answer questions and give recommendations. Housekeeping kept the place tidy and even washed clothes for us. I would recommend this house to anyone visiting the Antonio Miguel area.

This was a fantastic home. It was very peaceful and welcoming. Such fabulous landscaping all around. Susan made all our arrangements so we didn't have to lift a finger. We did three of the tours that were recommended and they were top notch. Laura the housekeeper was such a treat for us. It was so nice not having to do dishes and being able to return from a vacation with not all the laundry to do! We would absolutely stay here again if returning to CR.

Just lovely place. Fit the six of us very well, and after a day full of activities, it was the perfect place to come home too serene and yet close to everything, plenty of places to be social, the pool was amazing, and we all loved it! Highly recommend

Casa Roja is amazing! Everything about it exceeded my expectations (which were already pretty high). The house is beautiful and so well appreciated. Wai, the concierge, is so incredibly helpful and responsive. If you have any questions whatsoever, he’s there to help. And Eyelin, who was super sweet, comes every day to clean. Plus, she did our laundry for us. The best part was the monkeys! I loved just sitting in the living room and watching the monkeys every day. The house is also very near the beach and the park. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Place was amazing. We had a group of 8 and rented both main house and casita, and both were fantastic. Scott gave us great recommendations and communicated very well. Susan was there to greet us and she was wonderful, before and during our stay. Laura was extremely nice and helpful! Chefs Roberto and Alexandro were amazing as well, dinner was one of the best we had. Our entire group had such a great time we are definitely considering coming back soon. Dozens of squirrel monkeys visited us one morning which was an added fun bonus.

We had a great time in this house! It looked exactly like the photos and Wai and Scott were so helpful with planning and executing our planned activities in Manuel Antonio. Pura vida!

We stayed for a week with three couples. The home itself is large, beautiful, and backs directly to the national forest, which was absolutely amazing. During our stay we saw monkeys and iguanas right from the property. One of our favorite parts of the home was the large upstairs balcony table where we spent a lot of time eating meals, playing games, and relaxing together. The housekeeping service included laundry service, which was a huge bonus and appreciated. Our tours were arranged through the property (Susan) and she did an excellent job. That said, Manuel Antonio is extremely hot and humid, and while the bedrooms have AC, the main living spaces do not, so we needed to be outdoors for all eating and socializing which was very warm and with many bugs. The home is not walkable for most people with the narrow, steep and busy roads. We had some maintenance and communication issues, Overall, the wildlife, jungle setting, beautiful views and time spent with friends was great.

Our stay in Manuel Antonio was absolutely unforgettable. This beautiful open-wall home is truly one of the most unique and relaxing places we’ve ever stayed. Being surrounded by the rainforest while still just minutes from the beach was the perfect combination. Waking up each morning to the sounds of howler monkeys and seeing them right from the house was an incredible experience. It felt like we were living in the middle of nature, yet the home had every comfort we needed. The open floor plan allowed us to enjoy the fresh jungle air and stunning views all day long. The pool was fantastic—clean, refreshing, and the perfect place to relax after a day at the beach or exploring Manuel Antonio National Park. We spent hours just soaking in the peaceful atmosphere and watching wildlife in the trees around us. The location was ideal: private and immersed in the rainforest, but close to great restaurants, shops, and some of the most beautiful beaches in Manuel Antonio National Park. If you’re

Host Response

Thank you so much for your beautiful and thoughtful review! We are delighted to hear that your stay in Manuel Antonio was such a memorable experience. One of the things we love most about the home is the unique connection to nature, so it’s wonderful to know you enjoyed the open design, rainforest surroundings, and unforgettable wildlife encounters — especially the howler monkeys! We’re also happy you were able to relax and enjoy the pool, peaceful atmosphere, and convenient location close to the beaches, restaurants, and Manuel Antonio National Park. Creating a balance between comfort, privacy, and immersion in nature is exactly the experience we hope to provide for our guests. It was truly a pleasure hosting you, and we would be honored to welcome you back for another rainforest getaway in the future!

The perfect house for our annual family getaway! Everything was spotless and the wildlife really put in a show for us while we were there! Lots of monkeys, a resident sloth & tucans. Scott and his team were amazingly helpful, attentive. House keeping was amazing and the chef we had come in and cook us dinner a couple of nights was just superb. Exceeded all expectations. Pure Vida!!!

Me and my family had a wonderful vacation in this beautiful location. Every day we heard Howler Monkeys and saw a few species of monkeys is going through the forest daily. The deck was my sanctuary in the early morning and at night! We sat on the deck for hours with the binoculars. The home was very comfortable for six people. We loved hanging around the pool after morning excursions and ocean time. The staff is amazing! Only good things to say. We cooked many nights and I had everything we needed plus a grill. I can't wait to come back again. Thanks Odette and Wai.

The place was exactly like the photos and had lots of great features. Family loved the pool, tv room downstairs, upstairs outdoor patio and the pool table! I will say the place does feel like a true nature experience! lol Only the bedrooms have ac which is something to note. The maid was really awesome and was definitely not expecting such great hospitality from her. She cleaned and reset the house every day of our stay which was really awesome after long days of tours/excursions! She even washed our clothes and really made us feel welcome. I would give her 1000 stars if I could!! Susan was great and very helpful with information, recommendations and she even helped us find last minute transportation for a tour! This place and town was great my family had a lovely time here

What an experience! We loved be able to hear and see monkeys from our living room. So worth it! The only surprise for us was the difficult parking and the fact that it is on a very steep, busy road. Manageable but needs consideration. Thanks for the experience.

Host Response

Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re so glad you enjoyed the experience—seeing and hearing the monkeys right from the living room really is something special. We also appreciate your note about the road and parking. Roads like this are actually very typical in Costa Rica, and ours was recently paved, but we understand it can feel a bit different if you’re not used to the terrain. We do include detailed parking information and a photo in the listing to help guests prepare, and we’re always happy to answer any questions in advance. Thanks again for staying with us—we’d love to host you again anytime!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Susan was a great help with tour suggestions and setting up our chef for dinners. Plenty of room , having housekeeping daily was great. We absolutely loved chef Renzo and his assistants Roberto and Jeff. The food was amazing, plenty of options and they were just really nice, kind people. Our 8 year old granddaughter was constantly in the kitchen talking with them and they were very patient and kind. We did have a little trouble finding the place and it is only walkable in a small area. Definitely need a car or driver to go to beaches.

We LOVED our stay in Manuel Antonio. The house was spacious, clean, and the location was perfect for us. Being able to work with Susan, the Concierge, as part of our stay to book excursions was an added bonus. Susan warmly welcomed us to the home and was very supportive in helping us finalize our itinerary and activities. As has been mentioned in other reviews - our family very much enjoyed being able to sit on the patio or by the pool to watch the monkeys come and go.

What an amazing property! One of the best places we've ever booked on AirBnB. We were immediately drawn by the pool area and outdoor patio and they did not disappoint. We enjoyed having breakfast and dinner on the patio every day. They also included cleaning every day, which we really enjoyed because we don't normally get that at AirBnBs. It was a wonderful getaway staying in the middle of the jungle. We saw many animals from the house, including monkeys, bats, frogs, lizards and birds. It was only our family of 4 but we would love to come back with a bigger group. Highly recommend!

Casa Roja is a lovely home and within walking distance from most of the shops and restaurants in Manuel Antonio. The beach is absolutely beautiful and again is walkable but perhaps not on the way back as it is quite a steep hill. Taxis and Ubers are readily available however. Wai is a very attentive Concierge and a big thank you to the Cleaning team who will happily carried any of your laundry needs.! All in all, a very enjoyable stay

This house gets an A+ rating by our family!! It is AMAZING!! I was a little hesitant when I saw it was an open air house, but I’m so happy that I booked it and gave it a try. It was worth every penny we paid!!! We enjoyed the monkeys visiting each day. They can be a little sassy, but we enjoyed the entertainment. Having a beach and restaurants nearby was a plus. I honestly don’t have the words to accurately describe the location and house, but the availability of it will play a part in future stays bc I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else! I highly recommend it!

We had such a wonderful stay at Casa Bamboo! A troop of monkeys and a sloth popped into the nearby trees at our arrival which was magical. The house is a great set up for two families or one very large family with each room providing lots of space to unpack and feel at home. The house is private and safe and kids really enjoyed the pool. Chef Roberto was incredible - highly recommend hiring him for at least a couple of days or meals. Lastly the daily housekeeping and laundry was such a perk. Thank you for having us!

We loved the house. Our family of four used the house as a base to explore Manuel Antonio and everything Quepos had to offer. Scott and his property manager Wai were incredibly helpful. Wai helped us book a guide in Manuel Antonio, a waterfall zipline adventure and a snorkel/sunset cruise. The latter two picked us up right from the house. Waking up and feeling like you're in the middle of the jungle is special. It's a lovely house and it's very well taken care of. The cleaner even did our laundry which we did not expect. I think it's definitely best to have a car when you rent this house. Quepos is very hilly and while I enjoyed the walk to and from the beach, my kids were very happy to have the car. The car also let us easily drive up to the great restaurants that are nearby. I loved the place and would rent again if we end up back in town.

The only thing is about, check out: by ABNB is always at 11 am and in this case one hour before. It provides less time to get a breakfast for 8 people with enough time.

Host Response

Thank you for your feedback. As noted in our listing and pre-arrival information, our checkout time is 10:00 AM, not 11:00 AM. We make this clearly visible so guests can plan accordingly prior to booking. Due to the large size of the home, this schedule is necessary to allow our team enough time to thoroughly clean and prepare the property to a high standard for incoming guests. We appreciate your understanding and encourage future guests to review the listing details carefully to ensure the home is a good fit for their needs.

Incredible location in the rainforest with monkeys, sloths and other wildlife literally in your backyard! Our whole group was in awe of the location. Susan, the concierge, made all the activities reservations seamless and super convenient. The chefs, Roberto and Renzo were amazing , whipped out 4 course meals in the kitchen while we enjoyed ourselves on the pool deck and even cooked kid friendly options! Maid and laundry service made the stay effortless and convenient! Serenity, privacy , service and wild nature - what else can you ask for !?

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Calma. The home itself is pristine and very comfortable. We loved the outdoor open spaces, including the pool. We were a short few minute drive to main areas of Manuel Antonio so the location could not have been more perfect. Highly recommend this home!

Excellent service, very satisfied

Had an amazing stay at Casa Elsa. From Susan the concierge who meet us at arrival and arranged all of our excursions to Eylin the housekeeper who was there every day to clean and do our laundry to Chef Renzo who prepared dinner for us everything was A+. The house location is great - close to restaurants, grocery store and beach. The house itself is amazing with open living spaces that make you feel like you are part of the jungle. We spent every evening watching monkeys, birds and all the wildlife. The view of the beach was amazing as well as being able to hear the waves from the patio. Although the main living areas are not air conditioned the breeze made it very comfortable and the AC in the bedrooms worked great. Our family said it was the best vacation ever. The people of Costa Rica were so welcoming and appreciative. We will definitely be back! Pura Vida!

We saw monkeys every single day which was by far my favorite part of our stay, the rooms were as described and we felt comfortable and safe. The beds were comfortable which of course is very important. The staff was extremely helpful and responsive. Highly recommend staying here. Did I mention we saw monkeys daily??!! Pura Vida ❤️

We had an incredible stay at La Casa Roja! The open-air design made the experience feel so immersed in nature, and during our stay we were lucky enough to have all three species of monkeys visit the property, which was unforgettable. Scott was an excellent host and very communicative before and throughout our stay, which made everything easy and stress-free. Wai, the concierge, was amazing and helped with anything we needed, and Eylin, the housekeeper, kept the place spotless. The location is perfect and right next to everything, making it easy to walk to restaurants, shops, and explore the area. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend La Casa Roja to anyone visiting Manuel Antonio. Pura Vida! 🌴🐒

I visited Casa Bamboo early in March 2026, the house is conveniently located 10 minutes away from Quepos downtown, within walking distance of super markets and 15 minutes away from Manual Antonio national park. It is located in a beautiful, private and quiet neighborhood surrounded by nature and wild life. The house is well equipped, clean and, Susan, the house admin is friendly, responds quickly and resolves questions and requests. Having check in at 3pm I think it's fair to ask for check out at 11am, not 10am.

We loved the villa! The communication with Susan was useful as we booked most of our activities through her. She gave us many interesting tips. We highly recommend Casa Bamboo!
