Housekeeping

A professional housekeeper is on-site Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM for routine cleaning, laundry, and property operations. Guests should expect staff to be present during these hours, while privacy is always respected.

Maid service is included daily except Sundays for stays of four nights or more. For stays of fewer than four nights, housekeeping is provided every other day.

Important Information

Air Conditioning

All bedrooms are fully air-conditioned, while the common areas are open-air by design. Bedroom doors must remain closed while the air conditioning is running, and the units should be turned off when rooms are unoccupied.

Power Outages

Temporary power outages may occur during heavy rainstorms. This is normal in Costa Rica and typically resolves within a few minutes to a couple of hours. Emergency flashlights are provided throughout the house. Refunds are not provided for acts of God.

Security and Parking

One security camera is located at the driveway and front entrance only. Gated parking is available for up to two small or medium vehicles.

Security Deposit and Administrative Fee

A $500 security deposit hold and a one-time $37 administrative fee are required at the time of booking.

House Rules

1. A signed rental agreement containing guest names, ages, and photo identification is required within 24 hours of booking. The primary renter must be at least 25 years old. Unregistered guests are not permitted at any time.

3. Quiet hours are strictly enforced from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
4. Guests must lock all doors and windows when leaving the property.

Nature and Wildlife Notice

Casa Calma is located in a natural jungle setting bordering Manuel Antonio National Park. Guests may encounter insects such as ants, mosquitoes, and spiders, as well as native wildlife including lizards, snakes, and monkeys.

Precautions are taken to minimize these encounters, but interactions with local flora and fauna are part of the authentic Costa Rican experience.
