Casa Tranquilidad is a spacious six-bedroom villa in Manuel Antonio with 5.5 bathrooms and room for up to 16 guests, all included in one reservation. It is ideal for families, reunions, retreats, and multigenerational getaways seeking the privacy of a jungle estate with the service of a boutique resort.

The Space

Surrounded by rainforest, Casa Tranquilidad offers a private jungle setting where guests may see monkeys, toucans, sloths, scarlet macaws, iguanas, butterflies, and coatis. The property borders Manuel Antonio National Park and features panoramic jungle views, glimpses of the Pacific, an infinity pool, a private lanai, and open-air living areas.

The villa spans two levels and includes 6,500 square feet of indoor living space. All bedrooms, including both guest house bedrooms, are fully air-conditioned.

Wildlife and Jungle Setting

Because Casa Tranquilidad is integrated into its natural jungle surroundings, guests may encounter insects such as ants, mosquitoes, and spiders, as well as occasional lizards or snakes. These encounters are a natural part of the Costa Rican experience, and precautions are taken to keep them to a minimum.

Important Information

On-Site Housekeeper

A professional housekeeper is on-site Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM for routine cleaning, laundry, and property operations. Guests should expect staff to be present during these hours. Privacy is always respected.

Air Conditioning

All bedrooms, including those in the guest house, are fully air-conditioned. Common areas are open-air by design. Bedroom doors must remain closed while the air conditioning is running, and the units should be turned off when rooms are unoccupied.

Guest House Access

The guest house is attached to the main house but must be entered from outside. It is never rented separately and is available exclusively to the group staying in the main house.

Power Outages

Temporary power outages may occur during heavy rainstorms. This is normal in Costa Rica, and outages typically resolve within a few minutes to a couple of hours. Emergency flashlights are provided throughout the house. Refunds are not provided for acts of God.

Security and Parking

Security cameras are located only at the parking area, main entrance, and gardens. Covered, gated parking is available for up to four vehicles. Four-wheel drive is not required, although low-clearance sports cars are not recommended.

Guest Verification

Pre-arrival verification through Truvi is required. Truvi will contact guests by email and/or text message. Please complete the verification before arrival to ensure a smooth check-in.

Security Deposit and Administrative Fee

A $500 security deposit hold and a one-time $37 administrative fee are required at the time of booking.

House Rules

1. A signed rental agreement listing all guests’ names and ages, along with photo identification, is required within 24 hours of booking. The primary renter must be at least 25 years old and must stay at the property. Unregistered guests are not permitted at any time.
2. Quiet hours are strictly enforced from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
3. Guests must lock all doors and windows when leaving the property.
4. Third-party travel insurance is required to cover cancellations outside the cancellation policy.
5. Pets, smoking, loud music, commercial photography, parties, and events are not permitted.
6. Check-in is at 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 10:00 AM.

Nature and Wildlife Notice

The property borders Manuel Antonio National Park. Guests may encounter insects, including ants, mosquitoes, and spiders, as well as native wildlife such as lizards, snakes, and other animals. Precautions are taken to minimize these encounters, but interactions with local flora and fauna are part of the authentic Costa Rican experience.
