Excellent, 7 months ago

We very much enjoyed our stay in Gary’s home! Great company (neighbors) and beautiful home well stocked with everything we needed. Natalia is a fabulous manager. She always helped right away with anything we needed! She also has a great Scuba diving and tour company that we used a few times and would highly recommend. Scuba Nomad is their name. Pedro is the grounds keeper and was so helpful and such a hard worker! Thank you everyone for having us! Jane & Wade

This is the second time we have stayed at Gary’s place. This time, we came with another family that rented one of the other villas. We loved the common pool, the gated property, and quick access to the dock, beach, and snorkeling. We had a great time, again, and will definitely be back.

Gary's place is pure magic. Gorgeous view, beautiful house , fantastic snorkeling right off the beach and good restaurants within walking distance. There are 3 rentals villas and one neighbor on the property (who we did not see besides the initial hello's) - we enjoyed renting the villas with our friends and having kids hang out together in the pool. Just enough privacy and space to come together. Natalie - the caretaker made us feel right at home and made great recommendations. We loved every minute of our stay. Highly recommend getting a chef service at the villa by Jennie Mann - she makes excellent food and it is a treat not having to set up or clean up thereafter. Stores in West bay are a short driving distance away. Stowaway, Drunken Sailor and Ipanema (especially their French bakery) were dining highlights. But the highlight of our trip was diving with Octopus Dive School who took great care of us and our teen's first dive experience. We cannot wait to come back.

Gary’s Villa is a true gem – ocean views, lush landscaping, and a prime location. It’s a turn from the paved street, making it easy to drive in and out and for an extended stay. Everything is well maintained so you’ll feel right at home from the moment you arrive. Natalia managed the Villa during our stay. She was proactive in communicating with us and she incidentally manages one of the best tour companies on the island, Scuba Nomad Roatan. Friendly neighbors add to the welcoming atmosphere. The villa is thoughtfully furnished for comfort, with ceiling fans even in the en suite bathrooms. You’ll find blackout drapes in the bedrooms. No roosters, so you can actually sleep in! Copious seating inside and out. Since we do occasional cooking, the well equipped kitchen has more than was listed during our stay—a blender, a toaster and lots of cookware. We enjoyed the private pier and excellent restaurants a short walk away.

The Villas are very nice, although I do not recommend it for quite large families (+10), if the goal is to spend together then they will be separated there, but if this is not their case there is no problem. Everything is very nice and we had a great time at the place however there are only three things that I do not recommend: 1. The beach in front is not good for bathing 2. It is overwhelming too many rules in the house 3. separate energy charging is somewhat uncomfortable and off the beaten path.

This place was lovely. For this family trip we ended up in 2 different villas which we weren’t expecting. Beautiful location, lovely shaded pool. My complaints were one dishwasher wasn’t working and we cooked a lot so for a vacation there was a lot of doing dishes. And the other villa had no ac upstairs. Between both villas we paid $500 for our ac bill. We turned it off when we weren’t there, so it’s pricey. We would return but with slight hesitation.

I'm always careful about criticizing someone's business. Luckily in this case, I don't have to choose words carefully. In this cases, the air bnb was very high quality. The amenities like air conditioning and pool were in excellent condition and well used by us. While the location required that we hire transportation - the land itself in each location was clean and safe. It was important for us to have access to a washer and dryer and we did. These worked as well. Natalia communicated clearly, was polite and responded promptly to our needs. I would highly recommend the driving company Roatan Transport. Miacol Ponce and his driver Roni were responsive, flexible and respectful. For example when we asked about mass for Sunday, Roni knew where to find an English speaking church service at a church where a lot of Americanos go but then later learned about a Garifuna mass at another church and took us there instead. Thank you soo much for your hospitality. Will definitely be back.

We had a great time in Roatán and Gary’s Villas were in a great location with access to the West End, West Bay, and day trips to the eastern end of the island. A few local beach restaurants like Baha Bahina and Fresh were perfect for lunch and breakfast. There’s also a local grocery store with a good selection. Natalia, the property manager, was also local and supported our check in and answered questions we had and helped us find activities and excursions. We would rebook Gary’s villas on a return to Roatan!

The "3 Villas" is lovely! The location is private, clean and safe. Each villa in its self is a great get-away, with plenty of space and comfortable beds. We ate and prepared food communally, so basically only used 1 large kitchen and great room -- with a great view. Everything was well apportioned -- We didn't want for anything. The staff was super communicative and VERY helpful. The entire place was SUPER clean (the staff did an amazing job!). The views look just like the pictures. The villa's are a very short walk to a private little beach and dock. Great pool. Easy walking distance to a small port where we boarded our SCUBA charter.

Amazing! Can’t say enough about the quality of the snorkeling literally right in front of the house. Great pool if you need a break from the ocean. Big fluffy beach towels. Plenty of linens and cookware that’d make any chef happy. Natalie met us upon arrival and hooked us up with whatever we needed daily. They provided clean bottled water that we use to refill smaller bottles to take with us. Paying for the electricity was completely affordable. We had 2 villas, ran the air half the time and only owed $134.00. Pedro, the groundskeeper was a sweetie and actually climbed a tree to get and cut fresh coconuts for our kids. There are 3 good restaurants within walking distance and it was easy to get a taxi to West End for more dining options and shopping. It is hard to get to a bank and they are unpredictable so bring plenty of cash on hand for activities/shopping/gratuities.

Gary was a very responsive and welcoming host. He even invited us on a special fireworks adventure at sea, and we had an amazing time! He is friendly, caring and responsive, offering advice on the best places to go in Roatan to help us make the most of our trip. Gary’s place was also wonderful! A gorgeous location, right on the beach, with a private dock to snorkel and watch sunsets off of. We really enjoyed the beautiful pool and well-kept grounds. We had an awesome week there. The home had everything we needed. We felt safe and secure there- right at home. If you’re trying to find a place, this one is better than the photos!! Book with Gary, you’ll be glad you did! Thanks, Gary for a wonderful place to stay and for your hospitality as well!

These villas are amazing. We had a large group and rented all three for a week. The pool is PERFECT and the snorkel from the dock was the best we experienced. absolutely a hidden gem and just a short swim from the dock. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed for our stay. DO NOT FORGET OIL BASE BUG spray. The lemon eucalyptus spray you can get on Amazon works perfectly. We only used the air conditioning at night so our bill was very reasonable but if you run it your entire stay it will add up. There are a few restaurants in walking range but catching a cab on the corner (it will make sense once you are there) is the best way to get to west end or west bay. Natalia is the house host while you are there and she also owns a dive company. She is a wealth of information and also a fantastic contact for anything dive and snorkel related. We did 2 great combo dive/snorkel adventures for our large group and it was perfect! half of our group did the dives while the other half snor

We had a very relaxing & comfortable 10 weeks in Gary's Villa #1. We enjoyed sitting on the deck late afternoons to take in the peaceful surrounding tropical jungle & sea view. There was often a lovely breeze if you keep upstairs windows open you will only need the fans on. King bed in the master was really comfortable. As we cooked dinners most evenings we found the kitchen well equipped. Doing laundry was easy & hanging out the clothes to dry smelled so good! The complex is right off the beach & a 10 minute walk to a couple of restaurants & dive shops. We rented a car from Ramirez Rental as we like to explore the different neighborhoods & to reach different dive shops. We jumped in the pool each afternoon to cool down, read or chat with the neighbors. Property Mgr, Natalia was great! We only had a couple of issues & she took care of them immediately. Pedro, a very hard working man keeps the grounds in great shape. It was nice to meet the owner Gary who was onsite to welcome us.

Gary was very responsive and helped us when our other location for the first days fell through. The property was beautiful and had everything we could need and more. Everything was clean and comfortable. We rented all three villas for a large family get together and it was perfect. Natalia, his property manager, Pedro and the cleaning staff were all very friendly, helpful and treated us as family. They were very knowledgeable about the island, even helped us set up birthday celebrations for our niece. We will definitely be visiting again in the future. Thanks Gary & staff for helping make our holidays extra special!

I can't say enough about the beauty of this location in Roatan. The accommodation itself was outstanding! Excellent staff; Natalia was attentive and available throughout our entire stay at a moment's notice. Pedro kept the property and pool clean and was always willing to help. The house is as described with beautiful views! There was plenty of space for 7 of us, with the pull out couch, and using fans during the day and the AC at night kept the house cool and did not cost much in electricity. Having laundry in the unit was a huge bonus. The snorkelling is outstanding. You can swim out to the reef in 10 minutes and explore for hours! We saw lobster, eagle rays, squid, barracuda and about 100 fish species. The beach is small but very quiet, and the rest of the island is easily accessible by taxi. I would definitely recommend this stay to anyone hoping to relax in a beautiful spot.

Beautiful location and good value. We rented all three villas for nine adults and four children. There was plenty of space, and it was very nice to have the pool and beautiful grounds to ourselves in addition to the generous indoor space (two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a kitchen and living area, and a balcony in every villa). the space could have easily hosted several more people. There is also a shared beach and dock, though there are much nicer beaches and better snorkeling elsewhere in the area. Pedro the gardener is amazing, there everyday working hard to keep the property looking good and helping out. Be sure to keep track of your water so you can buy more from him during the day when he is there. Also be careful about your electricity use--it is expensive! We were super careful and spent $230 total for five days.

We had an amazing 10 day stay with a group of 16 (ages ranged from 12-adult). We were very comfortable in all three villas. We were originally going to have 21 people (one family had to back out) and honestly I think it would have been crowded had they joined us. I think if we had smaller kids- it would have been okay for that many people. But some of the 13, 14, 15 year old boys would have been tight sharing double beds- but either way- for our group of 16 - It was PERFECT! The rooms were nice. The beds were really comfortable. Check in process was easy. The pool was nice and we used it quite a bit. We also loved having the dock. We used the kayaks and they had one paddle board. The villas were spacious! The kitchens had lots of nice cooking supplies- however I think over time stuff has gotten moved from one villa to another (which was no big deal) - we just walked over an borrowed stuff. For example- one villa only had 2 bowls while the other one had 12. Really not a big deal- just worth mentioning. We loved being in the location. We had our privacy, but we’re close enough to West End. We had three very good restaurants in walking distance. We ate at them for quite few meals. We really loved the pizza place “Papa Bones.” We also loved the breakfast as “The Sunken Fish.” We were in walking distance of a few dive shops. Four of the boys in our group got padi certified at Sea Divers while we were there. Anthony’s Key Resort is about a mile away and has a pretty nice gift shop! We took a boat/fishing trip out to Cayos Cochinos- highly recommend!!! I would recommend bringing a safety kit or at least some supplies. They had one in one of the villas, but it had expired stuff. We did have a couple injuries that could have used some small supplies. Also- the villa did not have a formal name on the title of the listing. One of the families got stuck in customs at the airport for over 30 mins. because we could not find a “formal name.” Just something to be prepared for when you arrive. The washer/dryers were convenient to have And we definitely used them. We brought detergent pods with us. There were plenty of towels and pool towels on site. There was also a clothes line to hang them on! The condos were each a little different, but all nicely decorated!!! The A/C worked great- just remember to turn it off while not in use! We were there for 10 days and each villa was an additional $300. We felt that was fair as we ran them in the evenings each night! Overall- I loved Roatan- loved these Villas- would definitely recommend them to someone considering staying in Roatan. We were comfortable and our stay was amazing!!!!

We had a family reunion, so we rented all three villas for about five days. The lady who manages the property was great! She was waiting for us to give us all the details when we arrived. The villas were comfortable and clean and match the description from the listing. The stairs were not a problem for us, but be aware that the kitchen and living areas are upstairs with the bedrooms downstairs. When I booked the villas, I did not see in the description that the electricity is extra, so I was surprised about the extra fee at the end of our stay. Plan on spending $15-$40 per villa daily on electricity. There is no central AC in the villas, so the units are in the living rooms and the bedrooms. We slept very comfortably. There are several activities (snorkeling, scuba, and a nice restaurant) within walking distance on the beach.

Gary's place was great! My group of 20 slept very comfortably with room for more! We only used the beach in front of the house once because we didn't like all the sea grass but the place is only an 8 minute drive from west end, and 15 minute drive from west bay (we rented 2 vehicles and they where safely parked inside the complex), both have amazing beaches. The 3 villas are very modern inside and the beds are super comfortable! Just keep in mind that the electricity on the island is very expensive and they do charge it separately, my group spent 4 days here and our bill was $391. It was less than I expected but you should still budget for it. It helps to turn all the ac units off when not in use. Overall it was a great stay and I would definitely use Gary's place again if my group goes back to Roatan!

Our stay at Gary's place was perfect. super close to west end but far enough away to feel secluded. the water was a stones throw away with snorkeling right at the end of the dock. the house was well stocked, perfectly clean, and the view of the water and the breeze were the highlight of every evening.

Beautiful condo in a wonderful location. We appreciated the quiet and privacy that this location offered, and great snorkeling was found just feet off the dock! The pool was a great bonus. Large kitchen with all the appliances you need, and the beds were comfortable. Vanessa was very thorough in the check in process and was helpful in setup up COVID tests for our return home. You do have to pay for some electricity costs at the end of your stay, but if you manage the AC wisely it ends up being reasonable. 5/5 recommend!

This Villa was perfect for our family of 4. For us, the perfect location. The snorkeling right from the dock was amazing (saw lobster, eel, starfish, squid, octopus and lots of fish just 20-30 yards from dock). There are 2 dive shops less than a 10 min walk down the beach. Both West End and West Bay are short car rides away. There are a few restaurants within walking distance of condo too. It is stocked with a cookware as we did cook at home several nights and enjoyed the balcony. Great stay!

Very beautiful place, the house has everything you need for a pleasant stay. very clean, and a beautiful view.

Great place to spend time with friends and family! If you plan to stay here you will have pretty much everything you need! Except few things that you have to consider just letting you know my honest opinion it’s that this place it’s very secluded and the front beach it’s really pretty but really shallow and not that fun to swim except if you planing to do kayaking or paddle boarding but if you planing to relax and being away from people! This is your place! Also if you planing to go to West End and West Bay which to me are the best spots to swim and have a real beach experience I would recommend that you rent a car because it’s not that close from the Villa! If you consider to walk it will take you 40 minutes to get there in fast pace! And another 40 minutes to walk back in and if you planing to walk to west bay its even further like more than 1 hour But if you rent a car! Trust me you will save way more time and money from spending on taxis because you can go anywhere, anytime you want and you don’t have to spend money on calls nor depending on taxi drivers and waiting for them to pick you up because time it’s money right! On my experience I took six family members with me so paying taxi was like $15 each trip to the closest areas and more money to longer distances, taxis will charge you way more and to me everything adds up quickly if I want it to go and visit places I would spend more than $75+ a day And whenever you want to go to the grocery store you can go on your rental car anytime and load your car with groceries and not waiting for a taxi like New York to pick you up but this is if you planing to cook 1 meal a day or more Or even to go and buy cereal and milk or to cook pancakes, It will save you time and money! This review it’s for those who are frugal but have fun at the same time! by the way everyday we went to have a nice meal to nice restaurants and I recommend booty bar in West End area! specifically (Mar y Tierra dish) it’s a delicious meal for sure! Overall everything was amazing and we have a great experience! Roatan it’s the best place to have a real vacation! I wish you the best on your trip!

This place is a private paradise with simple access to the hottest spots on the West side of the island such as West End and West Bay. Rachael and Charmi (and Marley!) are in the running for best Airbnb hosts on the planet :) Not only they are on time and great communicators but truly nice and down to earth people that genuinely care about your wellbeing and enjoyment while staying with them. The Villa is spacious and very clean with high end furnishings that make all the difference during a week or more stay. The grounds are well kept and offer kayaks and rafts for both the beautifully maintained private pool or the reef that is only just steps outside the front gate. There is also good walking options for dining on the beach or a quick drive/cab ride to the West End. We truly enjoyed our stay in Roatan and very much look forward to returning island and for sure will be staying here again!

First of all, Rachael & Charming were incredible. Very lay back, nice and warm people. The attention from the moment I was trying to make the reservation to check out time, was extremely helpful. The house was sparkling clean, we had plenty of space, kitchen was equipped, bedrooms had sheets and extra towels, AC in every room, alarm system, nice lighting & WIFI for free. It was totally private. Nobody was bothering us, we had the pool available at all times. Kayaks were also lend to us and we were able to do some kayaking (the beach was walking distance from the house) we saw some cool rare species. Very nice experience. There’s also a deck with benches that you can use. (Great place for pictures) Electricity was charged at the end (they notify you before booking) but it was fairly priced. Totally recommended. Definitely going back.

This place is incredible. I’ve stayed here more than once and will keep coming back. It’s so niceee but not in a huge resort, which isn’t really my style. Our family loves this location. It’s right before West End so you don’t feel overran with tourists but are only a few minutes from West End and West Bay. We LOVED snorkeling off the dock and to the east. Our friends who had never been saw turtles, eels, eagle ray, sting ray and tons of coral! There were dive boats taking people to those exact spots multiple times! One guy who runs a shop told us it was the best dive sites on the island. The pool was also nice when we needed a break from the ocean. We loved getting to stay in one day and watch movies and cook. The kitchen had everything we (my mom) needed, which made cooking on New Years Day super convenient since a bunch of the restaurants were closed. 10/10 recommend! Thank you Gary, Rachael and Charmi! You guys make our vacation great!
