Everything was good the property . Only issue we had was the WiFi coming on and off . But other than that great property . Neighborhood was nice and quiet . Definitely recommend.

I think that for the price paid, you could add simple breakfasts or a welcome basket with simple items for cooking, for example, a coffee

This was the second time we stayed here and it is even more beautiful than I had remembered. It is a steep walk down to the lake and a long walk back up but it is worth it. We were able to book a private tour and the launcha picked us up at the private pier. We paid extra to have the pool heated and that also was totally worth it. We had a large group and they all enjoyed it.

We went with my family. The house is spectacular. It's a mansion Beautiful with an amazing view!!! The photos posted don't do it justice!!! The rooms are super comfortable, and you can see the lake from anywhere in the house!!!! The kitchen is beautiful, the living room has a TV to watch a movie with the family!! Heated pool, barbecue, you can access the lake by going down the stairs (there are several but it's worth it. During my two-day stay we went up and down about 4 times. It's very safe, there are breaks) and when you get there there's a pergola that's ideal for a barbecue!! We bathed in the lake. The people who helped us in the kitchen were super friendly!!! The housekeeper helped us at all times!!! We will definitely return to the house and the experience was amazing!!!

The place is very quiet and in the middle of a very beautiful natural environment. Close to the beach and facilities for pools, games and restaurant. Close to the city of Puerto Barrios which allows you to go out and also enjoy the places of the city.

The house is a beautiful and in a great location. We had a great time as a family, the jacuzzi worked very well for us, you just have to put the temperature in advance because it takes some time, they gave us towels to use it. Everything was working great and it was very clean.

Great location! Just to clear house has 3 rooms inside and one exterior room where the bunk beds are located. Surrounding is very silent which made our stay very relaxing.

Everything is very nice in this place, the only problem was the Alacranes in the house but because they are in this area it is probably common, air conditioning is very good.

Check-in was personal and lovely. The place is gorgeous with a welcoming courtyard entrance, comfy beds and linens, nice hot tub in the sun room, and nice large family table for dining. Walkable to main area where there are restaurants, etc. but in a quiet and secure location.

I really like this house. The cleaning lady does a great job in keeping up the house. It confortable and it has everything you may need. Internet was slow in case you need fast speed internet and won’t reach every corner of the house. Other than that, this is the perfect home for your stay. Good water flow, all restrooms work great, comfy couches and beds, fully furnished kitchen. I will definitely stay again at this place.

The location of this house is amazing, close to everything giving the visitor the opportunity to experience Antigua. You are able to walk to many restaurants and the central park or better yet take a tuktuk. The house is beautiful and clean. The beds very comfortable. The views from the upper terrace were amazing with views of Pacaya and Fuego. Definitely a place to go back!

This home is perfect for families who want a place to hang out together in a convenient location on the lake. We brought in all our food but the staff was friendly, helped us clean up and even picked up some fresh items for us. There is a strange but awesome swing set, a trampoline and a paddle boat, (not to mention the pool), that kept our kiddos entertained while we could enjoy our time together. There are steep steps to the water but that is pretty common. The room situation worked out great for us with three families - each with our own big bed and two bunk rooms for all the kids. We wish there had been WiFi, but we knew it wasn't offered from the site so we were prepared. Overall this was a great place for us! Highly recommend!

The only thing that does not have wifi but from there everything is incredible to charm me!!!

Los Amantes was wonderful. My family and I truly enjoyed our time there. The house was clean, spacious and very beautiful. The front and back garden were definitely a highlight. The housekeepers were very friendly, polite, welcoming and extremely helpful. I would stay at Los Amantes a thousand times over. Highly recommended!

I can recommend to everyone this accommodation, the cleanliness is impeccable, the place has an incredible view, the space is very well distributed, a pool with heated water, the kitchen is very equipped and with rest and play areas. We were very happy to stay here, the Aguardien and their children were very caring. Recommended cook service and cleanliness, very attentive and love the ladies.

Meeting and my family were so happy to have stayed here. The view is incredible, the pool was climatized as described in the house description. The rooms were very clean, the beds very comfortable and there were several sheets and towels for all my family. The living room and kitchen had a beautiful view to the lake, well the entire house has a beautiful view to the lake. We couldn't have asked for more, this is a perfect place for large groups and for kids to have fun. The guardians and the ladies helping in the kitchen were the best, they were polite and helped us in everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again. Luis was also very polite and responsive to all of our questions.

The place is spectacular, the view of the lake indescribable, personalized attention, there is good access to the house and the cars are well guarded, if they carry children they must have special supervision because the steps facing the lake do not have railings.

My husband and I treated his extended family to a weekend at Los Amates. We live in the U.S., but his family lives in Guatemala near the capital. There were 16 of us in all, not including our driver (we contracted for a small bus to take us from the city). There are separate quarters for any help you may bring with you. We had a wonderful time. Los Amates is a beautiful property with a stunning view of the lake. I say property, because it consists of more than one building. The bedrooms are housed separately, connected by a covered walkway a few steps from the living room, dining room, kitchen. A nice gas grill sits just outside. A few steps downhill take you to the pool and patio where you have the best view of the lake. Also on this level are a play area with swings and an in-ground mini-trampoline. The children in our large extended family had a blast on the play equipment and in the pool. Many stone steps downhill to the lake take you to another building open on the lakeside, which has a large bar and kitchen area with a built-in grill and sink. There is also a half-bath, which is large enough for changing into bathing suits. There are lounge chairs, a large table, and two large, wonderful hammocks. A few more steps take you down to the water's edge. If you want to swim, the pool on the upper level is warmer than the crystal clear water of the lake and it is recommended that you have water shoes because of the rocky bottom of the lake. However, there is a cement boat ramp, which is where our group swam and played. There is also a paddle boat with room for four people. One of the nicest things about Los Amates is the help. There is a caretaker who opens up for you and who is responsible for caring for the beautiful gardens. There are several large and beautiful amate trees, five avocado trees, and a large variety of flowers and plants. There are two maids who were wonderfully attentive and gave great service. The caretaker and his son, as well as the maids, helped us carry things down to the lakeside building where we fixed lunch and spent the afternoon. We had just a few minor disappointments, one being the lack of Wifi, which had been listed as an amenity. The beds were comfortable, and I especially liked the pillows. Two beds listed as a double and a queen turned out to be king-size. The shower had good pressure and the water was hot. It does get cold at night, but there were plenty of blankets. I highly recommend this property, especially for a large family.
