A very nice and super comfortable place for a family vacation. An impeccable apartment with a pool on your private terrace. What more could you ask for?! The hosts are very friendly and always attentive. We were supported at all times . You won't regret it if you decide to stay here. In addition, the area is very close to the beach, restaurants, etc.

Sylvia’s place was perfect for our family of five’s vacation in Playa del Carmen! It was exactly as depicted in the photos. We had a view of the ocean from all three balconies. And then, the roof rooftop! We spent so much time up there lounging in the pool during the day and enjoying evenings on the comfortable furniture. Our cooler of provided water ran out about halfway through, but Sylvia had already told us we could get a refill. Within 20 minutes she was there with another cooler. She was always super responsive and helpful. We had everything we needed, and it was the perfect place to come back to after our daily excursions. We would definitely stay here again, and again!

Excellent stay, impeccable apartment with an excellent location

The private rooftop pool overlooking the ocean was one of the highlights of our trip to Playa and it's is even better at night ~ light breeze, quiet, reflective and just the right amount of noise coming from 5th Ave. A perfect place to relax, unwind and stay away from crowds. The condos were clean, cool, and well-designed with all the amenities you could ask for.

We had a wonderful recent stay! The property was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and made us feel right at home from check-in to check-out. The room was quiet, spacious, and had everything we needed for a relaxing visit. The location was also perfect — convenient to nearby beach access, restaurants, and shopping in 5ta Avenida. We truly appreciated the attention to detail and excellent customer service throughout our stay. Sylvia was an incredible host and her condo at Marila in Playa del Carmen exceeded every expectation. The 2-bedroom, 2-bath layout was perfect—spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The condo itself is beautifully maintained and feels more like a luxury home. The kitchen was well-equipped, the beds were super comfortable, and having two full bathrooms made it ideal for us. The building amenities were also top-notch, and the location couldn’t be better—close to everything but still quiet and relaxing. Sylvia was responsive, helpful, and made the entire experience seamless from start to finish. You can tell she truly cares about her guests. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Playa del Carmen!

Great location, close to the beach!

Very engaged during the entire process.

This property was a few minutes walk to the beach. There was some noise - bands playing a few doors down, not too loud. The noise contributed to the nice atmosphere. The rooftop deck was so relaxing, we loved it up there. Very comfy lounge areas, a table and chairs for drinking some morning coffee, 2 outdoor bed type things that were perfect for watching the sunrise or just the clouds. There was a rooftop private pool which was fine but we enjoyed the hotel pool more. The bed was so comfy we slept well every night, the pillows were great too. Bathrooms were great and the kitchen was great too. The decor was nice. Everything was wonderful. Book it.

We spent a wonderful week here, escaping the bitter cold of late January in the northeast. Sylvia and her team were extremely helpful in answering questions and offering recommendations. The condo is large and well laid-out, with beautiful ocean views from the spacious balcony. It is very walkable both to beaches (we commend Coco Beach, about a 10 minute walk down Flamingos St. and around The Reef resort) and to the restaurant/commercial district close to or on 5th Avenue. We particularly recommend La Perla Pixan Cuisine & La Carboneria, on 38th St., which has a great vibe (including live music), great food, and friendly servers. The availability of beach towels, umbrella, and beach chairs in the condo were very much appreciated. We will definitely be coming back.

Took a girls and we all loved this place! The private rooftop+pool is incredible and worth the stay. The beds are comfortable and everything was so clean. Something to note: the apartment is above a fun street with bars and restaurants and we could clearly hear loud singing and music late into the night even with the windows shut. The host is so welcoming and wonderful.

we really enjoyed our time there so peaceful. the patio was a wonderful place to sit and eat our meal the sunrises and sunsets were the best being able to sit and watch the boats on the ocean was so part of a beautiful place the restaurants had the best food and the people of playa de carmen were so friendly and helpful we so hope to visit again

The condo was perfect! The unit was squeaky clean and had beautiful views, a great balcony with a comfortable couch, chairs and ottomans. It's in a terrific location, one block off of 38th St. which is lined with terrific restaurants and just a few blocks of 5th Avenue which is a long, pedestrian walk with tons of shops and restaurants. Sylvia was very proactive, reaching out to me several times over our two-week stay to ensure all was good.

We had a great visit to Playa del Carmen which was enhanced by our stay at Aldea Thai. The location and amenities - especially the rooftop pool and sitting area - were wonderful. Sylvia and her team were available and worked hard to make our trip as perfect as possible. If/when we return to Playa, Sylvia & Aldea Thai will be first on our list! On a side note, be sure to stop by Ceviche Corazon for a great seafood taco. It's not on Apple maps or google maps - but easy to find on the beach side of 52 and 5th. Tuna carnitas and doritos shrimp (yes, I said doritos) were our favorites! Finally, the group salsa/bachata classes at Perle 28 (on the same block as Aldea Thai) were tons of fun (and a bit humbling). Find the schedule at Let's Dance Mexico on social media

Stunning, spacious condo with an absolutely incredible roof deck with pool, loungers, table and chairs, sectional sofa, and two huge sun beds with ocean views. Perfect for our group. Hosts were uber-responsive and helpful. Walking distance to multiple beaches, great restaurants on Calle 38, and shops. We had a fantastic stay.

We had an amazing stay at Sylvia’s place. The private rooftop overlooking Mamitas beach was the perfect place for sunrise coffee and relaxing by the private pool before body surfing and walking on the beach. The host was incredibly helpful and responsive. We will definitely stay here again!

Sylvia’s place was exactly as described and honestly even better. The private rooftop pool and lounging area were phenomenal and became our favorite spot to unwind. Francesca was outstanding from start to finish. She assisted us during check-in, arranged a mid-week clean, helped with check-out, and was phenomenal in facilitating multiple requests throughout our stay. Her communication was clear, quick, and incredibly helpful. The location is perfect, close to 5th Ave, Mamita’s Beach Club, and great restaurants like Cachito. The full-size kitchen and spacious living room made it ideal for our family. We would highly recommend this place for families. We truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return.

A super nice and super comfortable apartment, with everything you need to spend a few days comfortably. Surrounded by delicious restaurants, the beach is nearby and the atmosphere is quiet and safe. Very close to 5th avenue. The rooftop is beautiful and has a very nice view. All the people in the building are super friendly and willing to answer any questions. A place to always return to on our trips to Playa del Carmen.

Golf days in a perfect place.

Fabulous view, enough that some days we didn't go anywhere and just lounged on patio. High end finishes everywhere close to everything.

Sylvia’s condo was perfect for our family of six adults, & 18m & 5m old babies. She is most certainly a Super Host! Her condo is exactly as listed. We ate at Chez Céline twice for breakfast and Ferron’s Jerk Chicken for supper once. Both in her list of recommended. Loved them both. We enjoyed using the rooftop, the large pool and the beach. It was wonderful to have all three choices! The views from the condo are spectacular. Some of us enjoyed watching the sun come up from the rooftop. We walked and picked up groceries from her list of recommended on two occasions. So we were able to get everything we needed within walking distance. She has the fastest response time I have ever experienced. We had a door lock issue and a broken shower head within 3 hours of reaching out both were fixed. It was especially important for me to have as smooth and comfortable of a stay because of the babies. I give the rental experience with Sylvia an A+! Jennifer

Two words: Rooftop deck Seriously, why stay anywhere else in Playa Del Carmen?! Think about everything that creates a drag on a beach vacation.. fighting for parking, crowds, gross bathrooms, hauling around your stuff.. and throw them all out the window. Sylvia’s condo is everything you could ask for in a beach vacation and more. Most days were spent sunning on the deck with music, and a good book. Getting a little hot? Take a quick dip in your private pool. Hungry? Grab fresh food from the fridge. Need the bathroom? It’s clean, air conditioned and downstairs. Feel like a quick swim in the Caribbean Sea? Grab your towel and it’s a short 5 minute walk away. Dinner under the stars? Did that too. We probably spent ~90% of our waking hours on the rooftop deck. All the other things you care about were perfect as well. Clean, comfortable living areas and beds. Kitchen stocked with all the amenities of home. Sylvia and Mateo were the *best* hosts! So again.. why stay anywhere else?!?

The area and facilities of the apartment are paradisiacal, in addition to the proximity with all the most important atmosphere and establishments of Playa del Carmen. It is an excellent place to stay, the terrace and private pool of the apartment are very comfortable.

Having stayed in Playa Del Carmen before, Sylvia’s condo at Aldea Thai, surpassed our expectations. The layout of the condo is perfect for hosting a small group. The seating was very comfortable. Although we didn’t use the second bedroom, we slept very well in the king size bed in the master bedroom. The private roof top patio was simply outstanding with a view of the ocean and surrounding area that made you feel special! We highly recommend booking this condo, as we plan to do again!

Our family of six had such a wonderful stay at Sylvia's place! The apartment was perfect in every way for our group. It's comfortable and has everything one would need for a long, enjoyable stay. The private roof deck and pool are heavenly. We spent time up there at all hours of the day - soaking up sun, taking a dip, star gazing. The complex also has a nice common area pool with a swim up bar and snack bar and a workout room. The location is great - steps from the beach and towards the end of 5th Ave which feels less touristy. There are great restaurants within easy walking distance and Sylvia provides a really useful guide for places to go. Sylvia was an incredibly and responsive and helpful host. Mateo, our local host, was also amazing. They treated us like family. We will be back!

We loved our stay at Sylvia’s!! It was perfect for our girls trip, 6 old high school friends who hadn’t spent time together in way too many years!! The location was great with so many good restaurants to walk to, a nice grocery store 10min walk and convenience stores so close. It was a busy area, so there was some noise, but we all slept just fine!! The beds were comfy. The pool is nice and the proximity to the beach was great. By by far our favorite part of our stay at Sylvia’s was the fabulous private rooftop area!! So great for gathering in the evenings, morning coffees, or catching some rays and cooling off in the little plunge pool!

During our many visits to PDC since 2004, we have tried different types of accommodations from all inclusive resorts to entire homes and self catering condos. So far this is one of our favorite options. Much had to do with the property location, views and the fact that it was recently built and in very good condition. The roof top pool was a nice touch, but seemed to be overrun most evenings with non-residents who did not respect the rules of occupancy. A little more vigilance by the front desk, or insisting on a wrist band ID could solve this and all would be just about perfect. Looking forward to our next visit.

Was exactly as expected. Amazing view from private rooftop. Each bedroom of his own bathroom and privacy. Place was really clean and comfortable. Felt like home. Silver she is a great host quick response and easy directions. Will definitely come back highly recommended

Top-notch new building in fantastic location. Apartment is well-designed, clean, spacious with a nice ocean view from large balcony. Rooftop pool has stunning view and design. Obviously created for rental, it was very convenient to arrive and settle in, and get cosy. Surely above average, highly recommended. Hosts were responsive and helpful.

Great apartment, the description is correct. The best thing about the apartment is the roof terrace with pool, seating areas and beautiful views. Sylvia was very kind and responded quickly to our questions and solved our requests.

Great place in the heart of the town, the private deck was pretty amazing.

We had a blast at this place. it is very ample and confy. the rooftop terrace is excellent and our kids loved it. Best location and nearby (within walking distance) amenities, bars etc. We definitely recommend it. Mateo (property manager) was super helpful and promptly took care of a feew items that needed attention. great place over all.

I can’t say enough… if you’ve saved this listing just book it. It is half a block to the best beach in playa, one block to 5th ave. Oxxo is down stairs as well as a 711 which had basically everything we needed. We rented a car for the week and the parking garage was super secure and always had lots of parking. The air conditioner works really really well. We loved having the pool upstairs it worked super well with the kids and I enjoyed my coffee on the deck before everyone else woke up. They don’t tell you that they provide hair dryers, shampoo, soap and conditioner so you don’t have to pack any of that. Lots of towels were provided for us as well. We can’t wait to come back here! Also worth noting this place doesn’t have laundry but they offered to have our laundry picked up and delivered to us! Great host and best place to stay in playa hands down.

Great location between 5th Ave and Playa Mamitas. Well appointed and comfortable interiors and large roof deck with plenty of furniture and a private pool overlooking the azure sea.

Condo was beautiful inside and out. We enjoyed the beautiful balcony with the most comfortable patio furniture. Our kids loved the infinity pool. Perfect location, we walked to many restaurants within minutes of the condo.

Sylvia is a great host along with Gladys and Carlos. They were very responsive to any request and questions that I had. The place is literally really closed to almost everything needed! Walking distance from the beach, from many restaurants, from point of gathering if you are having any tours or planing to visit any of the Xcaret’s parks. The pool view is amazing, we do not drink but they have a bar at the pool. I will definitely stay here again whenever I plan on visiting Playa del Carmen. 10 out of 10.

Our stay at Sylvia’s place was great. The location is awesome and having private access to the roof and pool made for an amazing addition to the trip. Would stay again! She was very responsive and helpful with any questions and keeping us updated on things when necessary.

We have traveled a lot in Mexico and this was one of my absolute favorite places that we've stayed in. The condo is in an unbeatable location, within easy walking distance to the beach and to fabulous restaurants. It's immaculate inside and very homey and comfortable while also elegant. The pool was closed for service during our stay which was a bummer but the hosts went out of their way to find other pools we could use and we were also still able to enjoy the gorgeous rooftop views and cool off in the small pool. The hosts and property managers were all extremely responsive and professional. Highly recommend and would love to stay here again any time I am in the area.

Excellent place for vacation steps away from the beach, surrounded by good restaurants and clubs. perfect for a group of 4 people and can 6 people in the room.

Sylvia's condo was great. Super close to the beach and the private rooftop pool was amazing. Check-in and everything else was explained ahead of time and you have direct communication with the staff in case you need anything. My one recommendation if for anyone who's a light sleeper to bring earplugs or use a white noise machine/app since there a few bars close that will have their music going until midnight or so.

Our stay at Aldea Thai was amazing! Sylvia and Gladys were very responsive. The location is amazing and having two separate spaces was perfect for our multi-generational family. The large, main pool did have cracked tiles which caused our son to have a minor cut on his foot. We wore water shoes after that and were fine.

What a special place! We enjoyed our stay very much. The sunrise on the roof was lovely with the birds and ocean sounds. The easy walk to the beach was great and the location is very walkable throughout town. Highly recommend!

We very much enjoyed our stay. The penthouse is beautiful and very clean. The rooftop is very specious with nice little swimming pool. The whole Aldea Thai complex is amazing and very close to the beach. Sylvia was very responsive and even allowed us to check out a bit later since we had a late flight. Gladys was also very helpful with all of our needs. We would definitely love to be back.

We could not be any more in love with Sylvia’s condo! It is quite literally perfect! The condo is a brand new build and it’s so clean and fresh. It has everything you will need for your stay, from kitchen necessities, amazing ocean views, comfortable beds, to a fantastic balcony, rooftop pool and bar, and the location cannot be beat! The condo is one block from the beach, half a block from 38th street (which is spectacular!), and a 2 minute walk from 5th Ave. It is very close to the action but just outside of the noise. Honestly PERFECT location. The restaurants to choose from are endless, all within walking distance. Truly you will not be disappointed with this condo! We cannot wait to return! Also, an added bonus is how efficient Sylvia is with her responses. She is the best! As well, there is a concierge that you can contact and she helped us with anything we needed during our stay! Thank you again Sylvia! We will be back!

Situated within walking distance of fifth Avenue, we enjoyed easy access to the heart of Playa, Del Carmen with a mix of restaurants, shops and entertainment options. The convenience of being within walking distance to tour pick up location added an extra ease to our vacation. If you’re looking for a modern, well appointed condo with a stunning ocean view in the heart of Playa, Del Carmen, look no further. We spent our honeymoon at Sylvia’s after tying the knot in Tulum and it was the perfect spot! Sylvia even left us a bottle of wine and set up rose petals. It was incredibly thoughtful! Sylvia is easy to communicate with and quick to respond. She is an excellent host! The pictures don’t do the place justice as it was even more beautiful in person. The ocean views from each window were amazing. And the ocean views and the set up on the private rooftop terrace was spectacular. We really enjoyed swimming in the pool on the hot days - the water was perfect. There were tons of delicious restaurants nearby and lots of grocery stores for shopping. We stayed there during construction of a nearby rooftop that was being renovated so it got a bit noisy at times. But construction is temporary and needs to be done at some point. Fortunately half our stay was over the weekend when construction wasn’t occurring so it didn’t bother us. I highly recommended this place! You won’t regret it!!

This is hands down by far the best condo I have stayed in when I visit Playa (I have stayed in a few) The building is lovely and is constantly being cleaned. Steps from the beach and close to all the amazing restaurants. There are convenience stores in every direction in case you need snacks or forgot your toothbrush. Sylvia is the kindest and most gracious hostess, she has the best restaurant recommendations, what ever your favorite cuisine is, (we had Asian, Jamaican, Mexican and Italian) Silvia is you plug. Ideal for families, we had teenagers and toddlers in our party and there was something for everyone, complimentary books(for the grownups), tvs in every room to play games and the rooftop pool for the littles. Goodluck getting them out :). This vacation was truly a dream. We are already looking for fight tickets to do this again.

Super apartment, excellent service and service

This was an amazing stay! When I return to Playa Del Carmen I will be staying at Sylvia’s Place! Just Awesome! The private pool and ocean views were my favorite part.

It was an amazing stay! The rooftop is beautiful, the pool is amazing, the condo is the perfect size. The location was amazing. A couple blocks from the main strip and right on the beach. We felt safe the entire time and check in/ out was a breeze. I would 100% recommend this place when staying in playa.

We had a wonderful stay. The rooftop is massive and perfect for lounging. We spent most of our midday hours lounging and swimming upstairs. The pool is shallow, so it's perfect for younger swimmers like ours. The kitchen is well equipped but has a stovetop only. No oven. We appreciated the large purified water station in the unit. The unit is a block from the beach. We were two blocks from 5th Ave and this provided great entertainment and dining options. Our host was super responsive and helpful. We had a fantastic stay.

Sylvia was a great host and quickly responded to all our needs. We cannot say enough about this wonderful condo and the rooftop patio. Our two-week stay had us spending much of our time in the private rooftop pool, but also taking advantage of the quick walk to the beach or 5th Ave. You cannot ask for a better location to fun in the sun. Our family of five (kids ages 12, 15, and 17) had a wonderful time at Sylvia's place. This was our first time in PDC and I did a lot of research to find the perfect spot. This did not disappoint! It is actually better in person than the pictures show! The rooftop is amazing, and everything you could ever want is within walking distance. We felt safe, comfortable, and relaxed the entire stay. We had one minor issue with the pool, but it was taken care of as soon as we mentioned it. There was a hostess who welcomed us upon our arrival. She was available to make recommendations and answer any questions we had. I highly recommend this place!!

Beautifully decorated and well located! Shops a bit on the pricey side and the beach was not great :( but the rooftop made up for it ;) and entirely private! … felt like a social community! Careful with taxis , try and negotiate in Spanish.

This is an amazing condo in THE perfect location. The only thing that was inconvenient was that the elevator rarely worked. Having to carry luggage up 3 flights of stairs was not fun, but that’s not totally out of Sylvia’s control. Thank You Sylvia for allowing us to use your condo. It was perfect.

This rental is absolutely wonderful. Beautiful décor inside and the Rooftop Terrace is stunning. We took so many beautiful pictures of the sunrise from there! Not only is the unit itself great, the location is equally so as you can enjoy the beach, the pools, and the not to be missed experience of 5th Ave within a couple of minutes. We felt safe and enjoyed the Aldea Thai staff. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer, it was hard to leave! Sylvia is a kind and thoughtful host who responds promptly, you’re in excellent care. Don’t hesitate to rent here…it’s a ‘10’.
