Benjamin's place was a great vacation spot! Honestly, we were deciding between this spot and one a bit futher out from the Center. We are SO glad we chose this unit - the location was so convenient, the place was clean, the pool was mostly quiet (even though it is shared), and the views were beautiful. I woke up every morning and either sat on the balcony or by the pool to listen and watch the birds, we walked to the beach, out to dinner multiple times, to Cristo de La Misericordia, and much more. We did have a car as well, and explored all the local beaches, took surf lessons, and enjoyed every moment of our time in Nicaragua. Ben and Carlos were responsive, the unit was very clean, and the gentleman who maintains the building and pool is very friendly and kind. There is always someone on site for security, and we felt safe and relaxed the whole time. I traveled with my parents, my 18 yo daughter and my 20 yo son, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you!

We stayed in this villa for a month in March–April 2026. Benjamin was amazing, very responsive, and he always had a solution. The villa is very comfortable and pleasant. The access road is not easy; you need a 4x4. The pool is small. The value for money was very good. Thanks for everything Benjamin.

My family and I stayed here for a month. The kids (4&6) loved the pool & the adults loved the view! The home's aesthetic was lovely & the pantry was well-stocked. It was cleanly weekly. We cooked almost nightly and made do just fine. The property manager Ben had good recommendations and was very responsive. He arranged a taxi from Managua (thank goodness because getting there in the dark would have been tricky!), a local car rental, and even helped to ensure that we got back our deposit - thank you Ben! We were unlucky to be staying there during the construction of the local highway which was very noisy - bummer. Also the power went out several times resulting in no water and no electricity (no bueno). Some of the days were refunded, but it would have been nice if the house was better equipped to deal with power outages. The house was a 10 minute walk downhill to Playa Maderas (husband loved the surfing!) and a easy 10 min drive to SJDS. We enjoyed our visit and would love to return!

We really enjoyed our stay. Originally we were concerned about it being a bit of a ways from San Juan but after seeing how busy the town was compared to the last time we were there, we were happy being a bit farther from it. It’s a short drive from San Juan and the new paved road goes basically right to the hill the house is situated on. You will want a 4x4 to get there but you can’t beat the sunsets on the patio. The binder Ben has in the bnb is super helpful and we were able to find some super cool spots close by that we really enjoyed. Yes there were tiny ants in the kitchen but as long as you keep your food in containers or in the fridge it wasn’t a big deal. That being said, the kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need. You won’t be disappointed booking this spot and the host is super great to deal with.

Lovely home with spacious bathrooms and a comfortable environment, with air conditioning and ceiling fans to keep things cool and breezy. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of counter space. We enjoyed the breathtaking sunset view from the poolside lounging area, which overlooks the ocean, creating a truly relaxing and scenic experience.

Our stay at Casa Millie was magical! You cannot beat lounging in the infinity pool with that view!! We enjoyed spending our mornings watching the family of howler monkeys in the area, identifying different birds, and making the short jaunt down to the beach. It was close enough to town that it wasn’t a hassle to grab groceries but far enough out it felt secluded. The house itself was cozy and comfortable. Our toddler started calling it her home by the second day! Ben was always super responsive to my questions and proactively checked in on us! Thanks for the stay! We will be back!

Amazing stay in this little paradise of a home in Nicaragua, surrounded by beautiful birds and lush plants! The house is absolutely stunning. There are some beautiful beaches nearby. Ben was always reachable and came to welcome us and share some of his favorite spots. Would definitely come back.

Beautiful place to stay when visiting Playa Maderas. It was a nice relaxing beach compared to the hustle of San Juan del Sur. The view and the sunsets from the patio are unbelievable. The pool was a perfect place to rest after a long day. The home was incredibly comfortable and the mattresses were so comfortable. The home was very private. The house is easy to find in the daylight, but we highly recommend you arrive for the first time before dark as it was hard to find once the sun went down. Directions were great but it was so dark and online maps were a bit useless… We would 100% stay there again!

We would book this place again anytime & would have preferred to extend. An SUV would be advantageous, we bought in advance & therefore had no problems with meals. The kitchen is super equipped with everything you need. The walk to the beach about 15 minutes, is hard but definitely worth it. Cozy little beach bars await in a great bay. Communication with Benjamin was great, he was very committed & helpful for any concerns. The house has a special charm, is totally stylishly decorated & the sunsets are unforgettable.

The house is very nice, just like in the description and photos. The ocean view is unsurpassed, it is very relaxing to sit at the table or rocking chairs and look towards the horizon, just like being inside the pool. The place has everything you need to cook and feel at home. Communication with Benjamin was very good, he attended to us and helped when we couldn't find the house and it was midnight, which is worth noting, and he was always attentive to making sure we were okay. Jorge, who provides pool maintenance, was extremely attentive, he was very nice to deal with, and he gave us recommendations of places. The road is under construction and there is little signage, which complicated our arrival at night, but when it is ready, access to the property will be better. It is advisable to have a high or double traction vehicle to get to the house. All in all it was an excellent stay.

Great place! Beautiful pool. 10 minute walk to town. We often took the little boat to cross the river (10 pesos per person). We called it the Puente Romontica😁. Very nice luxury place for those looking for that. I would/will stay again.

Beautiful view of San Juan Bay. Very quiet and safe. Village 15 minutes' walk and beach 5 minutes' walk. Cleanliness of the apartment and the impeccable outdoor environment. Beautiful shared pool that we had to ourselves. Excellent recommendations from Benjamin. Renting a car, scooter or motorcycle is a plus to explore the beautiful surrounding beaches and restaurants (Hush, Espejo, Machete). We will be back.

The house is very high-quality and you have a wonderful view of the sea. The pool is great for relaxing and there are a few nice restaurants. Ben is super friendly and very easy to reach. You can surf very well on the beach.

Fantastic view

We had a great stay at Benjamin’s place. Loved the pool and the location. It was about 15 min walk to the town mostly through the beach. Everything was as described and the host was very helpful and responsive. We stayed more than a week and paid about $100 more for electricity. It was 7 of us including the kids, using the AC on and off when needed. Thanks so much for everything!

The home has an elegant design perched up on the hill - the walk to the beach is easy on the way down and good exercise on the way back. Good location to explore the area and multiple different beaches.

Having reviewed the pictures, description, and reviews ahead of making our reservation, we were not met with any surprises. Upon our 1 week stay we were particularly impressed with the thought that went into designing and staging the home. It sits at the intersection of lush greenery and the ocean. This makes for the most breathtaking views of the ocean, sunset, birds, or even monkeys swinging on the trees at a distance. One thing with planning and cost implications that we underestimated was the key need for a vehicle to get around. However, the host proactively provided a reliable solution for this along with recommendations for local spots and activities. We will gladly stay again

An exceptional stay! The accommodation was even more beautiful than in the photos, with breathtaking views. Everything was spotless, very clean and comfortable. Our hosts were incredibly welcoming and warm — they immediately put us at ease, gave us good advice on things to do in the area, and made sure we didn't miss anything throughout our stay. We had a wonderful stay. The place was beautifully designed, with stunning views of the jungle and ocean below. We were looking for something peaceful and quiet for rest at the beginning of our holiday in Nicaragua, but close enough to the surf beach. This had it all! Comfortable beds and outdoor seating areas, a beautiful infinity pool, and everything was well stocked. This is our second time staying at one of Ben’s places and he has been great each time. We will definitely be back.

This place is magic. Stay here!! The views, Playa Maderas, the house, the infinity pool. Benjamin was incredibly friendly, helpful, and communicative. My husband and I stayed here with his parents over Christmas, and had a really special holiday. You'll definitely need a 4x4 vehicle to get up to the house but the whole experience was great.

Wonderful stay in this amazing home with our 5 and 8 year olds! We loved the views, the pool, and the tranquility of the surroundings. The common living areas and bedrooms are very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, and the beds and bedding are also very comfortable. The beach is walking distance, which is convenient. We were easily able to take surf lessons in playa Maderas. There are sometimes small power outages, but it never lasts more than a few minutes. I recommend having a big grocery store before arriving to avoid going back and forth to San Juan. In short, we hope to come back so much we loved everything!

Very nice place that was a good fit for what we were looking for and what had been described. The views are beautiful, the surrounding beaches are beautiful and the amenities of the accommodation are very luxurious. Benjamin was very responsive and made sure we were comfortable. Note that the electricity is a little fragile and it may be interrupted at times. However, this is normal and Benjamin is very responsive to make us more comfortable.

Incredible, I'll be back

Amazing house. We were flabbergasted by the architecture, the view, the luxery of the pool and the relax area. You can even see the waves of the ocean from te pool and hear the monkeys in the trees. We were lucky basterds that we could stay for 5 nights, and mainly spend our days surfing en enjoying the pool. You can easily hire a board for $10 at the beach Playa Maderas. This is only 3 min driving by car, but only a 4x4 will make it uphill to the house. Of course you can walk, but I was happy we had good transportation in this area 20 min from San Juan del Sur. The kitchen is great to cook, groceries best to get in SJDS/Rivas before you get to the house. The very friendly gardener Ariel visited us 2 times a day to switch on/off the pool and do some garbage things. The contact with Ben is easy and helpful, he lives next to the house and made us feel really safe and welcome. I think we are spoiled for the rest of our lifes with this experience. 🫶🏼🏄🏼‍♀️

Beautiful, isolated hilltop stay with a great view. Nice and quiet with an amazing sunset view. Would highly suggest a 4x4 or SUV to get up to the house, as the roads are steep and dirt for miles before the house.

The home is beautiful modern and cozy. The view is breathtaking, so peaceful and relaxing . The outdoor setting is the perfect place to dip in the pool and take In the view . Madera Beach is 10 minute walk and driving even less from the house , the beach has restaurants and surfing lessons which we enjoyed . Benjamin was very nice kept checking in to make sure we were ok. Make sure to look at the home handbook it has local recommendations for food and activities . The roads are a little rough but not horrible Benjamin did warn me about them when booking . I recommend this airbnb 100 percent definitely will NOT be disappointed .

A perfect location for a surfer , which I am ! Beautiful view of the water and great waves. An added bonus was the plunge pool and outdoor shower location with view of ocean. Benjamin is great at getting right back to you if you have questions or need help with anything. He also arranges a local housekeeper which was great !

Had an amazing stay at Casa Deriva. It’s a beautiful space with great amenities and incredible views of the ocean. Also great WiFi - even after the power accidentally went out. The host was super helpful, kind, and responsive. Truly a magical place and can’t wait to come back!

My Wife and I loved our stay at Casa Deriva. This brand new house is so beautiful and peaceful. We loved the amazing outside space, you can see the Maderas wave break from the patio. The sunset views are UNREAL, and we watched them nightly in the pool. We could tell a lot of love was put into building this house. We felt very safe and relaxed there. The desks in each room were great for getting work done. The bedrooms have AC, but we only used them one night as you can get a nice breeze! Ben is right next door and super responsive if we had questions about the area. We would 100% come back here.

I love this place. A few of my friends have stayed here and I I think the outside space is such a great atmosphere. They do a top notch job of keeping the pool clean and grounds well maintained. Ben is also a great person to work with. 5 stars

This apartment was absolutely amazing, it's looks even better in real life than on photos. Flat is big and cozy, beds are comfortable, water pressure in shower was also great. Wifi worked well. Living room and master bedroom are facing the road, which is loud if you have open windows. With windows closed no problems at all, didn't disturb our sleep. Pool outside is small (more like for cooling than for actual swimming). The condo area is clean and well maintained, also parking available. The only problem we had were the ants - they were consistently appearing in the living room, despite using Raid and cleaning up the dishes once used. I know it's pretty common in warm countries, so wasn't a big deal. But I hope host will find a solution for that (note: the apartment was very clean, so it's not about dirt). Benjamin is very friendly and helpful host. I would definitely stay here again!

We had the most wonderful time at Benjamin’s, Casa Millie. The pictures don’t even do it justice. Beautiful! This location is in the best views of the sunset. If you need a place to relax and get away and be just a short distance away from some surf and yoga, and a beautiful more remote beach, this is your place. Communication was fantastic and his suggested places to see were so helpful. The massage therapist, Aidaly was amazing. Do spend a little extra and treat yourself. She comes right to the Casa as you enjoy the breeze and nature sounds. Better than most massages back home. We will definitely be back!

Would recommend this place to anybody with confidence. By far the best view in all of SJDS. Stayed here for a month and have nothing but good things to say. Not to mention, Ben was extremely helpful, extremely responsive, and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our stay.

I spent 10 days at Casa Millie and it's simply amazing! It's walking distance to the local beach and surf spot but tucked away in the hills of Maderas so it's very peaceful and relaxing! After a long and tiring surf session or day at the beach you're just a short walk back to your own private oasis! Once home you will be able to kick back and enjoy your own private infinity pool with an incredible view of Playa Maderas and the famous "Shark Fin' rock! An epic spot to unwind, crack open a cold Toña and watch the most amazing sunsets! Also a great view with your morning coffee! You'll even see howler monkeys chilling in the trees! This place has everything you need. Equipped with a full kitchen, a nice propane BBQ, large fridge, indoor and outdoor showers, and comfy beds! Ben is a great host! Super chill, easy going, with quick response times. He even set up airport rides for us with a grocery store stop on the way! 5/5 Stars!!! I would 100% back him up in a knife fight!

Absolutely loved my month long stay! The place is exactly as pictured. I used the gorgeous, clean pool and deck daily. The maintenance staff was so lovely and the host was very responsive and helpful. There was only one day of WiFi interruption, otherwise I was easily able to work remotely without any issues. The location was great - close enough to access everything in town without a car but still far enough to be quiet and very safe. Would definitely stay again!

Almost new house with 2 bedrooms and bathrooms, good for 4 people. An SUV or better a 4x4 vehicle would be beneficial for the unpaved driveway. There is a private parking space. The house is on a hill with wonderful views, also to the sea. San Juan del Sur is about 25 minutes by car. It is best to shop and bring with you beforehand. The house is also equipped with air conditioners in the bedrooms, but we didn't need it. The ceiling fans were sufficient. The kitchen is well-equipped with toaster, coffee maker, blender, water dispenser and more. There's a spacious fridge with big ice box, living room sofa, and 2 sun loungers by the small pool. If you are looking for peace and relaxation, you are in the right place. Benjamin immediately answered every question and is a great host.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Casa Millie! The view from this place is nothing short of spectacular! stretching from the beach to the lush greenery that surrounds it. The infinity pool with evening lights is the icing on the cake. The house's design is beautiful and the rooms are very comfortable (each offering amazing views). It provides a fully equipped kitchen and a BBQ, making our stay incredibly convenient. Whether for a couple or friends, it's simply perfect.

Casa Millie exceeded our expectations. The location is excellent in a very safe and quiet area close to supermarkets, restaurants and close to the beaches. The rooms were spacious,comfortable and clean. A fully equipped kitchen and each of the house spaces are very cozy and the view is from anywhere it is beautiful. We definitely want to come back back again.

I’ve been spending many nights in this area at different locations, but Casa Millie has been by far one of my best stays — I mean it’s just perfect for a couple or even for friends to share with the two bedrooms. Ben is an ace host on top of everything. The place offers the most perfect view ever by the way. Ohhh those sunsets! Also, if you’re a surfer the house is super close to the local break. To summarize it up, just perfect. Can’t wait to come back.

Wonderful house in a fantastic location

Stunning! That is the word we used to not only describe the view at Casa Millie, but also the home & it's design. Casa Millie has all the mod cons. It also has everything you would need to cook, with all new appliances. The furniture & bedding are gorgeous & you feel relaxed as soon as you walk through the door. The pool is the cherry on top of this amazing home; being an infinity pool with lights at night, we couldn't ask for more to have a relaxing time away to soak in the sun & that incredible view! We found the location to be super quiet & it is only a short walk to a great restaurant. There is a double car park & outdoor shower which is great either after your morning surf or swim in the pool. Ben is an excellent host & replied immediately if we had any questions, nothing was a problem. We can't recommend Casa Millie enough & will definitely be back for some more rest & relaxation with that stunning view, it really is a magical spot!
