A slice of paradise. Such a great little house close to the beach, restaurants and shops! We loved how private the property was and that it was a street away from the hustle and bustle of the main part of town. My daughter loved the little swimming pool and my husband and I loved drinking coffee on the patio in the mornings! The management team was responsive and helpful as well. The only things that we didn’t love was that the house was infested with huge ants (although I think this just might be a jungle thing?) and the WiFi never worked even though we reached out. Not deal breakers, just little things. Either way, we would stay here again for sure!

This was a great location for hanging out in north guinoes and facilitating surfing with and easy walk to to beach. Great restaurants. Easy to get around on foot. Comfortable beds. Lots of beach towels. Nice pool. Good kitchen where you can actually make a meal. Great outside space.

Great location. Right in the middle of everything. Close to the beach and all the restaurants. The outside of the space is as advertised and very nice. The inside of the house is a bit old and dated. The kitchen isn't great, the beds aren't great, the bathroom is old, the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything between the two bedrooms. We also had trouble with the toilet. For the first 5 days it wouldn't flush. We let the property management team know several times and they were slow in responding and didn't actually fix it until the trip was almost over. We also asked for a few other things that they said they'd take over that they never did. All that being said, the house was cheap and the location is great so if you can deal with an older house then this could be a good fit.

The place was a little piece of paradise in the middle of the busy streets of Nosara. The pool could not have been more perfect for our family.

Cannot say enough about the location. The property is near everything. It's also nestled between some very high end houses in the area. The host was very helpful and responsive. Easy to find and easy to get into. The home was clean and all of the amenities were available. Very good property. Would like to return.

We had a great one week stay at Casa Calmate. If you want a more authentic CR casita experience this is for you! We enjoyed the private pool area. Walkable to the beach, bars, restaurants. Tuk Tuks for local transport available a block away. Be mindful that there is construction in the area - so there will be noise and there may be a few jungle friends roaming around which added to our experience. Some ants at night but never in the sleeping quarters. This place is very clean and well maintained. Good security as well. Locked gates felt secure. We didn’t have any security issues in playa Guiones. We will be back!

My family and I had a great stay at Casa Calmate. The location is perfect if you want to be close to everything but also still feel like you are "away" from the main streets and traffic at night. The pool is AMAZING if you have kids, perfect size for escaping the afternoon heat. The house itself is nice and well stocked for cooking which is rare in AirBs these days. I'd recommend this place as a great family option for Nosara in general, especially if you want to surf and spend time on the beach.
