Casa Bosque is one of several Casa Horizontes accommodations and is elevated above Drake Bay. The harbor, beach and restaurants are a few minutes' walk away. The place is very simply furnished, but the beds are comfortable and everything is very clean. It has air conditioning and fans. The accommodation can even be cleaned daily on request. Those who are prepared for a glamping-like experience will feel comfortable here. Our highlight was the balcony overlooking the wooded garden and the bay – a wonderful place to watch birds, monkeys, and other animals. The hosts and their staff are extremely friendly, prompt and helpful. We were picked up at the harbor, warmly welcomed and given valuable tips. We would come back in a heartbeat.

Yami, Pedro, and Grethel were all welcoming, accommodating, and willing to go out of their way to provide excellent service. The rental unit is attractive, has effective AC and fans, and has a wonderful balcony where you can see wildlife and the beautiful view of the bay. It was quiet, comfortable, and safe. The breakfast was tasty (though a bit pricey), the laundry service convenient (though also a bit pricey), and they were willing to not only store our luggage when we did an overnight trip to Sirena Station, but brought it down to the beach for us too. They also met us at the beach, drove us up to the house, and served us fruit to welcome us. We hope to be able to return and spend more time there.

Wow. This is easily the best AirBnB we have ever stayed in. The room is comfortable and cool (fans and AC) and has a small kitchen and a beautiful porch with a hammock. It is tucked into the trees high above Drake Bay, has an amazing view, and is surrounded by songbirds and lovely forest. It is sublime. But what truly makes this place shine are the incredible hosts. Yami and Pedro are amazing. We were met at our boat and transported to the house by Pedro, then upon arrival Yami served fresh fruit, cookies, and cold lemonade. After a long hot day of travel we were in heaven. I would return to Costa Rica from half way around the world just to stay another night with these kind and wonderful people . Highly highly recommended!

Casa Bosque is a magical place with the most rewarding views of the ocean and forest. The balcony is prefect for birdwatching. We also spotted an iguana and a pair of agoutis in the garden. Our hosts were very attentive, helpful and friendly. Drake Bay is a perfect location for spotting wildlife and is very close to Corcovado.

This location, up on the hillside above the beach, has a gorgeous view of the jungle and a bit of the sea beyond. We enjoyed mornings of delicious coffee, fruit, and eggs for breakfast from our balcony, from which we saw iguanas, scarlet macaws, monkeys, and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Hosts were responsive and helpful. The bed was very comfortable, with a good evening breeze and wonderful sounds of cicadas at night. We chose to walk up and down a pathway of steps to access town and the beach, as the driveway is quite steep and we preferred to leave our rental parked by our cottage. But if you're okay with walking, it's just a few minutes down to town, the beach, multiple restaurants and the meeting place for most tours. Would definitely stay here again!

Pedro and Yami are great hosts, they made us feel right at home and very cared for. They helped us with local recommendations and organizing a tour during our stay and also helped with bringing our luggage to and from the place. The place itself is very nice, it is as beautiful as in the pictures and has everything one could possibly need. The view over the bay from the balcony is stunning and we could observe Toucans, Hawks and Iguanas in the surrounding forrest in the mornings. I definitely recommend staying with Pedro and his family!

Cool place, one of our best nights sleep given the airflow is fantastic. Beautiful surroundings watching the birds and hearing the waves crash. Perfect

The accommodation is a nightmare. Massive mosquito nets, so that a monkey is coming (I'm not exaggerating). Room full of ants even in bed, despite having food in the fridge well kept. No wifi, no oil, salt, gel... The alleged washing machine is gone and you are charged for washing clothes and drying in a greenhouse. Dirty and scarce cooking utensils. The cost to climb does not raise or Indian jones. The vebtilador sticks with the mosquito net on the bed, you choose: you grill like a suckling pig or eat you alive. They were kind but the maintenance of the place is very poor. We had 4 nights and we have only been 1 (and suffering). The price is great, we have paid less than half per night in cabins in much better condition.
