We were a family of 5 with the youngest 6yo. The place is breathtaking. Sitting in the outside space and seeing the entire area. We saw macaws, hawks, and many other brides right there. You are right in the jungle so you need to expect this to be rugged. It’s closer to glamping in a magical cabin than a resort. There will be bugs, power outages, etc. The drive in - during the wet season an a 4x4 was actually simple. Before our departure there was a record breaking storm and still the drive the next day was fine. The staff is amazing in booking activities, setting up a 5am breakfast and really anything we needed. Hope to come back!

Beautiful location, incredible views, so much wildlife and flowers. Friendly, kind, & responsive hosts proactively described and set up tours, how to book, what to bring. They had delicious breakfast with a gorgeous view. We loved Casa Horizontes! Note: The hike up to the house was fine for us, but not recommended for anyone with physical limitations as half is very steep
