This is one of the nicest homes. You could rent in the area, and absolutely the best hosts. It would be impossible to find a better experience for the money

Juan was always responsive, friendly, and available whenever we needed anything, and the caretakers, Sujey and Álvaro, were incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming. The property is an absolute dream, with lush jungle corridors surrounding the house and wildlife everywhere. We saw monkeys in the trees almost daily, toucans nearby, large blue morpho butterflies drifting through the garden, and two huge iguanas regularly lounging beside the pool. The yard is beautiful and full of life at every glance, so even sitting at the dining table felt like being immersed in nature. The pool was refreshing and perfect for relaxed, non-beach days. The bedrooms had excellent air conditioning and became comfortably cold within just a minute or two. Best of all, the beach is only a few steps beyond the garden. There are also a couple of good beachfront restaurants within about 200 meters, with tables by the water and TVs for the World Cup matches. A truly special Punta Uva stay.

Our stay was amazing, and unforgettable. We absolutely loved it. The best beach in ALL of Costa Rica was literally steps away. Location is amazing. The lady Sugey that lives in the back was the sweetest person ever. I think it was a little overpriced for what is offered but would I go back? 100% YES!

Punta Juancito’s located right in front of the beach, but despite its prime location, we didn’t have a good experience. As soon as we entered the house, we noticed a strong mouldy smell in the bedrooms, which made it difficult to feel comfortable and get a good night's rest. We also found that the kitchen amenities weren’t sufficient for a property advertised to accommodate 10 guests. There’s no oven available, and we were hoping to use the BBQ to prepare meals, but unfortunately it had been broken for several weeks. After spending one night in the house, including sleeping in a bed that was too short for someone who is 5'11", we decided to move elsewhere. It was a disappointing decision, as we’d been looking forward to our stay. The property’s great potential thanks to its beautiful surroundings, nearby bars and restaurants, and the fantastic beach directly in front of the house. However, we believe the host needs to address several issues to provide the experience guests would expect.

The only thing we needed were the amenities or accommodations for people with disabilities provided for by Law 7600. Other than that, everything was excellent!!!

The very well equipped house is actually beautifully located directly on Punta Uva beach. Unfortunately, it was “Semana Santa” and the beach was so crowded that you could hardly be on the beach. We couldn't get away from the house, and we certainly couldn't get back, because the access road was completely blocked and jammed with cars. The noise from the beach was very bothersome from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. As we found out, it had never been like this in all these years—so it's not Juan's fault! However, it was a real shame that we didn't get to experience more of this beautiful area – also because the house isn't exactly cheap.

What a beautiful home set right in the middle of the jungle and only steps away from the beach. We saw so many monkeys a sloth butterflies toads and crabs on the property. The outdoor living style and open floor plan were really nice. The pool was amazing. Really added to our experience. The housekeeper was very friendly and took great care of us while we were there. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms were beautiful. We had an amazing stay and have already discussed coming back to Punta Juancito again.

We have stayed in the Punta Uva area several times and Punta Juancito was the BEST choice we’ve ever made! The home is more beautiful in person than the photos, the garden is full of beautiful flora and fauna, and the location/proximity to the beach cannot be beat. We spent 4 nights enjoyed the sounds of the waves from our bedroom, the intoxicating smell of ylang ylang, and nonstop visits from monkeys, lizards, macaws, parrots and more. Sue the caretaker was extremely welcoming and helpful with all our requests. The showers are hot, the air conditioning cools off the room almost immediately and the kitchen is well equipped. Lastly, the pool was clean and refreshing - the perfect spot to watch wildlife and take in the garden and ocean air. We hope to return to Punta Juancito in the near future for another perfect Caribbean vacation.
