A private two-bedroom casita sits approximately 30 yards from the main villa, creating two separate living spaces for groups of up to 14 guests. Monkeys, sloths, and toucans frequently visit the property.

Designed in the style of a private Spanish Colonial hacienda, Casa Bamboo features arched colonnades, a terracotta barrel-tile roof, and a grand two-story façade set against the jungle canopy. The home surrounds a freeform pool and jacuzzi on a curved terrace bordered by giant bamboo, tropical flowers, and a gentle stream.

Monkeys, toucans, and sloths may visit directly at the property. The beach, restaurants, cafés, and bus stop are all within a short walk.

Wildlife and Natural Setting

Casa Bamboo is located within Canyon Verde, a private gated community surrounded by rainforest. Monkeys, toucans, sloths, iguanas, and tropical birds may be seen from the pool deck, terrace, or balcony.

Because the property is in a natural jungle setting, guests may also encounter insects such as ants, mosquitoes, and spiders, as well as native wildlife including lizards, snakes, and other animals. Precautions are taken to minimize encounters, but interaction with local flora and fauna is part of the Costa Rican experience.

Housekeeping and On-Site Staff

A professional housekeeper is on-site Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM for routine cleaning, laundry, and property operations. Guests should expect staff presence during these hours, while privacy is always respected.

Daily housekeeping and laundry service are included except on Sundays. The pool and grounds are maintained throughout the week.

Important Information

Air Conditioning

Air conditioning is available in the bedrooms only, in both the main house and the casita. Keep bedroom doors closed while the air conditioning is running, and turn it off when leaving the room. The social areas are open-air by design.

Power Outages

Occasional power outages may occur during heavy rain, which is normal in Costa Rica. Outages typically last from a few minutes to a couple of hours. Emergency flashlights are provided throughout the main house and casita. Refunds are not provided for acts of God.

Security and Parking

One security camera monitors the driveway and front entrance only. Canyon Verde provides private 24-hour security. Covered parking is available for up to four vehicles.

Guest Verification

Pre-arrival verification through Truvi is required. Truvi will contact guests by email and/or text message. Please complete the verification before arrival to ensure a smooth check-in.

Security Deposit and Administrative Fee

A $500 security deposit hold and a one-time $37 administrative fee are required at the time of booking.

Check-In and Check-Out

House Rules

1. A signed rental agreement, including guest names, ages, and photo identification, is required within 24 hours of booking. The primary renter must be at least 25 years old. Unregistered guests are not permitted. At least one adult aged 25 or older must stay in the casita at all times.
2. A $500 security deposit hold and a one-time $37 administrative fee are required at the time of booking.
3. Quiet hours are strictly enforced from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
4. Lock all doors and windows when leaving the villa or casita.
5. Bedrooms are the only air-conditioned areas. Keep doors closed while the air conditioning is running, and turn it off when leaving the room.
6. Third-party travel insurance is required for cancellations outside the cancellation policy.
7. Pets, smoking, loud music, commercial photography, parties, and events are not permitted.
8. Guest verification through Truvi must be completed before arrival.
9. Check-in is at 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 10:00 AM.
