Casa Viva Eco Lodge Beachfront Bungalow 1

We truly loved our stay at Casa Viva - a great mix of jungle & beach settings. The house was perfect for us and our two teenagers. I’ve stayed in this area of CR before and this property was by far the best. So well kept. Carlos was incredibly helpful with anything we needed and with recommendations and activities too.

Out stay was great. It was a such a unique experience staying on the ocean and in the Jungle. The bungalow and grounds are so beautiful. And a great area away from normal tourist type traps.

This was our fourth visit in 20 years and still amazing as ever. The craftsmanship of the houses is outstanding. Its an oasis of peace and quiet amongst the monkeys, sloths, birds, agoutis … The beach towels and beach chairs were a nice addition and the daily housekeeping was very much appreciated. Thank you for your warm hospitality.

We loved Casa Viva and would stay again if we ever find ourselves in punto uva. Carlos was very accommodating and communicative throughout our stay.

This place was better than we could’ve expected. It was so good that we extended our stay. The house was perfect and in the most beautiful tropical setting. We were given so many wonderful local recommendations and we love the area and Casa Viva so much. Refresh coconuts every morning was a special touch. I loved waking up in the morning and relaxing in the hammock and listening to the jungle sounds. The most beautiful and quiet beach was only steps away, and we all loved the outdoor shower when we returned from a swim. We will return soon!!!! This place was pure heaven as far as we were concerned.

It was amazing! It was a wonderful place to just be. We really enjoyed the bungalow (nr 1) and being so close to the beach.

Die Häuser liegen traumhaft direkt am Meer. Jedes Haus für sich alleine - mit voller Privatsphäre. Die Gärtner bringen spontan eine Kokosnuss vorbei oder eine Frucht aus dem Garten. Das Faultier hängt im Baum. Das Haus ist geräumig und gemütlich. In wenigen Schritten ist man am einsame Strand. Die Tipps für Ausflüge um die Ecke waren alle total korrekt - das Ausleihe von Kanus war einfach möglich. Das Schnorcheln ein Strand weiter am Riff ein Highlight für die Kinder. Eine der besten Unterkünfte auf der 4-wöchigen Reise. Natürlich auch, weil die Menschen der Karibik locker unterwegs sind. Ein traumhafter Abschluss unserer Reise - wir hätten gerne unseren Flieger verpasst und wären noch ein wenig geblieben ;-)

Casa viva ist ein wunderbarer Ort, umgeben von üppiger Vegetation und Geräuschen des Regenwaldes und des Meeres. Der Weg zum Meer ist bereits ein wunderschönes Erlebnis mit vielen farbigen Blumen. Im Dorf gibt es viele gemütliche Restaurants. Nicole hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und uns sehr gute Restaurant Empfehlungen gegeben. Am Abend war die Wiese vor dem Haus voll von Glühwürmchen - Einfach magisch! Wir wollen wiederkommen! Vielen herzlichen Dank Elke

We loved our stay at Casa Viva. The staff was amazing. They were great at giving food and activity recommendations, renting equipment like kayaks snorkels and paddle boards. They also helped point out sloths to us during our stay after we said our kids wanted to see them. We watched macaws and many other birds right from the hammocks on the deck. The bungalow was well maintained and had all the essentials to be able to cook a meal. The grounds are beautiful and the bungalow (#1) is right near the path to the beach. It is a relaxing place to stay; it is away from the more active area of Puerto Viejo but close enough to make eating out and exploring easy. Punta Uva is a quiet and secluded beach. We enjoyed swimming, walking and exploring the area. This is a very special place that you should not hesitate to book!
