Estrella de Mar is a roomy villa featuring six bedrooms and six bathrooms, designed to comfortably host families or groups of 14 to 16 guests. Situated in the verdant hills of Manuel Antonio, this private sanctuary offers a large swimming pool, beautiful views, a vibrant garden, abundant wildlife, and excellent privacy.
The villa is located within a semi-private community just minutes away from the beach, Manuel Antonio National Park, Quepos, the famous Marina Pez Vela, and a variety of local dining and entertainment options.
The Space
Nestled in the lush rainforest near the renowned Manuel Antonio National Park, Casa Estrella del Mar combines natural beauty with comfort and tropical elegance. Surrounded by lively wildlife and the soothing sounds of the jungle, this home features rustic elements alongside Balinese-inspired architecture.
Constructed with locally sourced woods, the villa boasts open-concept living areas and warm, natural textures that create an inviting ambiance reflecting the spirit of Costa Rica. Spread across three levels, the residence comfortably sleeps up to 14 guests, with the option to accommodate two additional guests on a queen-size air mattress, making it ideal for large families or groups of friends.
Each of the six air-conditioned bedrooms ensures restful nights in the tropical climate. The main house includes:
- Four spacious bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms
- A fifth bedroom with a private bathroom located just across the hall
- A sixth poolside suite featuring a private entrance and en-suite bathroom, perfect for guests seeking extra privacy
The open-plan living room and fully equipped kitchen are not air-conditioned but feature large sliding glass doors that welcome ocean breezes and offer expansive rainforest views, fostering a relaxed indoor-outdoor living experience.
Outdoor Amenities
Step outside to enjoy the large private pool, which includes a shallow area suitable for children. Spend leisurely afternoons soaking up the sun or relaxing in the shaded pool pavilion. This outdoor retreat is ideal for lounging, reading, or enjoying a cocktail at sunset while listening to howler monkeys and toucans in the treetops.
Additional Details
- Parking is available for two vehicles on-site.
- While taxis are readily accessible, renting a 4x4 vehicle is recommended for greater flexibility and easier access to scenic backroads and hidden spots.
- A dedicated concierge team is available to assist with pre-arrival planning, airport transfers, excursions, private chefs, in-home massages, and more.
- Cleaning service is provided every other day, excluding Sundays and national holidays.
- An additional fee of $50 per person, per night applies for guests beyond 14.

Guests have full access to the entire home, except for the laundry room, which is reserved for housekeeper use.

We travel to Costa Rica with our family every year and we love booking new homes to get us even more excited about our trip. This one was over the top perfect! We had a wonderful trip and enjoyed the house very much! Everything was perfect! I would highly recommend !

Out of the 6 or 7 bourses we’ve rented over the years in MA this one was the best! Pool was spectacular and the house was roomy and cold AC after fishing. Definitely will repeat.

The house is beautiful and spacious. It was cleaned regularly by housekeeping staff. It came with a wonderful concierge, who made everything really easy for us. The openness of the main house and the views from the many decks was one of the best parts of staying there. It was very comfortable for a large group. There were two pair of local macaws who flew overhead several times a day, squawking and colorful. In the early morning, other birds flitted around, some taking diving dips of water from the pool. Hummingbirds were regular visitors right off the main deck. I can’t say enough about how beautiful it was. And the responsive service was an added bonus. You’ll need a car with 4WD in the rainy season to make it to the house, and the final hill is a challenge. I’d recommend 4WD year-round. (Vamos car rental can be trusted to provide what you reserve, and at a good price.) The bedrooms and bathrooms are comfy and spacious, providing privacy. You won’t regret this for a group!

This house was perfect for our large group. It has several large social areas that are perfect for dining or just hanging out. The pool is HUGE and the outdoor lounge and dining areas are so inviting. The concierge was very knowledgeable and attentive and fast to respond whenever we had a need and the housekeeper took excellent care of the place for us. A few members of our group had to do some remote work while visiting and the internet speed was perfect for that. Highly recommend!
