Casa Nicoya, featured on Sayulita Life, is a beautiful hilltop vacation home on Gringo Hill, just a seven-minute walk from the Plaza. Ocean views and spectacular sunsets can be enjoyed from every floor.

The Space

Casa Nicoya offers two rentals in one.

Main House

The Main House spans two levels and includes:

The first floor features an en-suite queen bedroom with a spacious private bathroom and a brand-new air-conditioning unit.

The newly remodeled second floor feels like a tropical penthouse, with expansive views and refreshing jungle breezes. It includes two bedrooms, each with:

• A king-size bed
• An en-suite bathroom
• A roomy closet
• A state-of-the-art keypad safe
• A hair dryer
• A fan
• Air conditioning

One of the king-size beds can be converted into two twin beds upon request. The two bedrooms share a second kitchen and lounge area.

The Casita

This listing also includes The Casita, a private two-story, one-bedroom unit with:

• A full kitchen
• Two separate home office spaces
• A yoga deck
• Air-conditioned living areas

The Casita is ideal for guests who would like additional privacy while remaining close to the rest of the group.

Internet and Utilities

Disconnect completely or work remotely with reliable Wi-Fi suitable for video calls. Two networks are available: SayulitaWifi and Telmex.

Solar batteries provide backup coverage if the power flickers.

Housekeeping is provided twice a week, and drinkable water is available on every floor.

Important Details

Casa Nicoya is built into a hillside and arranged across multiple levels. The Main House has two floors connected by stairs, with additional stairs leading down to the pool and The Casita below it.

The walk to town takes approximately five minutes via the staircase route or slightly longer via the street. Because the property includes numerous stairs, it may not be suitable for guests who have difficulty using them. The views and central location make the climb worthwhile.

Like most homes in Sayulita, Casa Nicoya is surrounded by the sounds of the jungle. Birds, roosters, and other wildlife may be heard at sunrise. Guests who are sensitive to noise may wish to use a floor fan for white noise.

Wildlife sightings are common. You may see iguanas in the trees, geckos on the ceilings, and occasional spiders. Geckos help control smaller insects, including mosquitoes, and should not be harmed. Insects are a natural part of the jungle environment, and pest control is used only when necessary.

Several bottles of insect repellent are provided. Scorpions are rare but possible, so guests are advised to wear flip-flops when walking around and to leave shoes turned upside down.

The property is not recommended for children under 12 because it has several unguarded ledges, numerous stone stairs, and a pool without a lifeguard.
