Infinity pool with jungle view Chef's kitchen Fast Wi-Fi, A/C in every room 8-min walk to cafés, shops and bus stop Book your escape today and let the wildlife come to you! Our team responds within an hour, and guests enjoy free concierge service. Stay with us and experience the best of nature, beach, and national park! The space Things to note before you book: We have a minimum child age of 12. Costa Rica requires a 13% VAT (IVA) that is already included in the price of the stay. What makes our home unique: Casa de la Reina is owned by a veterinarian/zoologist couple and designed with a dream of creating a sanctuary where people and wildlife can coexist in a peaceful and harmonious environment. La Reina has become known for the wonderful variety of animals that visit on a regular basis; it's a haven for exotic butterflies, iguanas, monkeys, scarlet macaws, sloths, and more—it's a private sanctuary for animals and humans alike. Outdoor thrills - Infinity pool overlooking botanical gardens - Frequent wildlife sightings right from the terrace - Easy access to surfing, zip-lines & sport-fishing - Sleep well in comfortable beds, each room equipped with blackout shades and cooled by quiet A/C. Peace of mind The Superhost team usually responds within an hour and can arrange airport transfers, tours, private chefs, and even special events like surprise birthday celebrations or wedding proposals! Guest access Guest Access and Safety: We host ages 12+ For the security of our home and neighbors, we do not offer self check-in and prefer to meet our guests in person, so the host or co-host will contact the guests before they arrive with check-in instructions. We have room for one car in our gated parking area with 24-hour security cameras and bright motion-detector lights. The road to our house is a narrow community road, gravelly and bumpy in places, but it does not require a 4-wheel drive, and the only steep section of the road is short and paved. The hosts are responsive and attentive, and guests may reach out directly if they require assistance or if anything needs attention in the home. All our guests are treated to free concierge service and encouraged to ask for recommendations about cool events and other things to see and do around our area. Other things to note THINGS TO NOTE: Costa Rica is a microclimate, and we can't be responsible for seasonal downpours or occasional power outages caused by storms. During rainy ('green') season, transformers may be affected, and there is also the occasional animal that may (sadly) come in contact with power lines. If a power outage happens, please let us know, and we will immediately call the power company to report it as well as share updates of the approximate time it will be restored. There is a welcome book in the house, with detailed info about the house, the appliances, how things work, the internet, emergency numbers many recommendations for tours, local beaches, eateries, shopping and more It also includes info about Manuel Antonio, things to do and see, unique places to visit, tours, tips, local beaches and more. YES, our tap water is safe! We have the most potable water in Central America, and we're proud of it. Costa Rica is an energy-conscious country, and electricity here is very expensive. Please be kind and turn off the A/C when leaving the home, and shut your bedroom door when your A/C is on so it doesn't escape to the living room and out the sliding glass door. (Note: if you turn off A/C in your room and leave for the rest of the day, your room will STILL be cool when you come back!) Shake your shoes out before you put your feet in them—we live in a jungle setting and have jungle guests that may take a liking to your cool footwear. ;-) DON'T FEED THE MONKEYS. (1: It's illegal. 2: You're only asking for trouble.) Please don't wait until after you check out to tell us in a review that you needed something or something needed attention in our home. It doesn't help us, and it's terribly frustrating. If there's something we can do better, tell us in a note or a message: we value your input! Thanks from all of us at Casa de La Reina; we appreciate you and are happy to host you!
