Casa Tranquilidad is a beautiful 6,000 square foot private villa with an additional 500 square foot guest house. It is situated on the edge of Manuel Antonio National Park, one of Costa Rica’s most biodiverse areas. This spacious home accommodates up to 16 guests, making it ideal for large families, retreats, reunions, and multi-family vacations.

The Space

• 6 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms

• Queen sleeper sofa in the entertainment room (not air-conditioned but equipped with ceiling and floor fans)

  • 2 bedrooms (1 queen bed, 2 full beds)
  • 1 full bathroom with a large shower
  • Guest house is only rented with the main house, never separately

• Located just over half a mile (.68 miles) from the main road
• Approximately 2 miles from the beach
• Small private community with only eight homes
• Close to town with easy access to restaurants, grocery stores, bars, and shopping
• Two restaurants and a small grocery store within half a mile
• About 100 miles (approximately 2-hour drive) from San Jose Airport
• The drive to the villa offers scenic views through the Costa Rican mountains

• A new home is being constructed on the adjacent property behind Casa Tranquilidad, expected to be completed by December 2025
• No 4x4 vehicle is necessary; low-clearance sports cars are not recommended
• Security cameras monitor the parking area, main entrance, and gardens
• Quiet hours are strictly enforced from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

House Rules

1. A signed and fully completed rental agreement with names, ages, and photo ID is required within 24 hours of booking. The primary renter must be at least 25 years old. No unregistered guests allowed.
2. A $500 security deposit hold is required. A one-time $37 administrative fee applies to all bookings.
3. Guests must lock all doors and windows when absent to protect the property and personal belongings.
4. Power outages can occur during heavy rainstorms, which is normal in Costa Rica. Emergency flashlights are available, and the concierge can assist if needed. No refunds for natural events.
5. Air conditioning is installed only in bedrooms. Bedroom doors should remain closed when AC is running and should not be left on when rooms are unoccupied.
6. Third-party travel insurance is required to cover cancellations outside the rental policy.
7. No pets, smoking, loud music, commercial photography, parties, or events are permitted.
