Tranquil Cliffside Oceanfront Beach Villa

The Space

This 3,800-square-foot villa offers sweeping views of the Costa Rica coastline. From the covered deck, you can watch turtles mating, whales playing, and monkeys visiting while relaxing in the stone jet plunge pool or on plush deck loungers.

Pelicans often fly overhead in formation. Practice yoga on the main deck or enjoy mindfulness on the meditation platform while listening to the waves below.

The villa is a five-minute walk from the private community swimming beach and a 10-minute drive from several surf beaches, including Colorado, Amarillo, and Popoyo, as well as nearby restaurants.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

• Three of the five bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms.
• All en-suite bathrooms are upstairs and include showers rather than bathtubs.
• The two main-floor bedrooms share a bathroom with a bathtub.
• The second-floor primary bedroom has a king-size bed.
• The remaining four bedrooms have queen-size beds.
• All beds are exceptionally comfortable.
• Every bedroom is fully air-conditioned.

High-speed fiber-optic internet is generally reliable, except during power outages. A generator remains on standby throughout the night. During the day, it will operate for up to three hours in the unlikely event of a 24-hour outage.

Deck and Services

On the deck, grill your deep-sea catch or locally purchased fish, lobster, or shrimp from nearby Playa Gigante while enjoying Nicaragua’s finest cigars and rum.

Additional services and amenities include:

• A private cook who can prepare award-winning Nicaraguan coffee and tropical fruit smoothies on the deck
• Professionally trained massage therapists who can provide treatments at the villa
• A massage table and linens
• Shower essentials
• A well-stocked grocery store within a 10-minute drive

Beach and Surroundings

The private community beach is a short walk downhill along a lit path with handrails. Beach loungers are available to all guests at no additional charge.

A community beach bar and restaurant serves guests at the beach, and Playa Gigante has several small eateries. For most other destinations, a vehicle is recommended. Newly paved roads provide quick and convenient access to the villa and surrounding areas.

The property also offers a short hike from the house that continues into a more challenging trail. Both routes feature rewarding views of the surrounding landscape and coastline.

Guest Access and Services

The house manager will welcome guests and handle check-in. Please make every effort to arrive between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. If you expect to arrive after 5:00 p.m., please communicate with the house manager.

• Guests staying for one week or more but less than four weeks may request laundry service through the house manager twice per week at no additional cost.
• Cleaning and linen changes are included twice per week.
• Guests staying for one month or longer are responsible for electricity and cleaning and laundry fees.
• Electricity costs approximately $230 per month with nighttime air-conditioning use only.
• Cleaning and laundry service costs an additional $120 per month for twice-weekly service. Both fees are payable to the host.

Important Information

The house is not suitable for toddlers because it is situated on a cliff overlooking the ocean. Wires cross the edge of the deck to preserve the view, and the second-floor balcony has openings that a small child could fit through. Other potential hazards include stone pathways, the plunge pool, and interior stairs.

Community rules are enforced by security personnel:

• Quiet hours begin at 10:00 p.m. every day.
• Loud parties are not permitted at the property or on the beach.

Two exterior-facing cameras monitor the property 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
