Work and play from this custom built jungle home nestled in the mountains above Baru - just minutes from the stunning beaches of Puntarenas. Booking is for the main house, pool, firepit/bbq area. High speed fibre optic wifi allows you to work seamlessly while spending your days poolside, exploring mountain trails, and enjoying world class beaches and waterfalls. 4th bedroom also serves as the dry room space. The space The main house nestled in the jungle offers stunning views of the Baru and Guabo river valleys. The house was constructed using local materials including wood from trees harvested on the property and designed for the enjoyment of guests with all the amenities of the city and can be enjoyed by solo travelers, couple(s), or large families and friend groups. The house is maintained weekly by local housekeepers, pool cleaners and gardeners so you can enjoy the property and area hassle free. Weekly maintenance staff will access the property during your stay: Monday and Thursday - pool cleaning Saturday - yard maintenance The pool house also serves as the property owners residence when on-site. This is a jungle house so please be aware that you may experience power and water outages during your stay and that the roads are not paved and wind through the jungle in mountain areas so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Guest access All areas except pool house unless requested as extra rental space. Other things to note Kitchen has toaster/air fry oven but no large oven unit. No microwave. Stove uses propane fuel (common in the region). Carbon filter on kitchen water tap. Septic system so please do not flush any paper products in toilet or wastes (other than soaps) down bathroom or kitchen sinks. Sweep outdoor areas daily. Sweep/ vacuum indoor areas daily - there will be bugs, this is a jungle house, but they are manageable with minimal effort. Pool toys and boogie boards are for guest use.

Nuestra estancia en Pura Vida in the Jungle fue una excelente experiencia que. Desde que llegamos se siente que es un lugar especial, rodeado de selva, con vistas increíbles y una tranquilidad difícil de encontrar. El alojamiento está muy bien integrado con la naturaleza. La arquitectura y los espacios hacen que realmente te sientas en medio de la jungla, disfrutando de los sonidos del bosque y del entorno desde casi cualquier punto de la casa. La piscina y las terrazas fueron, sin duda, nuestros lugares favoritos. Desayunar ahí mientras escuchábamos tucanes y otras especies de pajaros fue algo único y muy especial. La anfitriona Mandy con ayuda de Monica fueron excelentes: siempre atentas, rápidas para responder. Todo estaba limpio y listo cuando llegamos. Como recomendación, sí es importante contar con un vehículo 4x4, ya que el camino puede ser retador, pero definitivamente vale la pena.

What an amazing adventure and peaceful retreat what feels to be in the treetops of The jungle. Extremely private - We saw monkeys, toucans and so many birds every day. Our favourite spot was sitting on the deck watching the sunrise and the evenings settling into the jungle. The pool was a lovely retreat from the heat. Not far from amazing beaches - and great recommendations from Mandy on local beaches and waterfalls. Mandy was so responsive and caring - we are forever grateful for the opportunity to stay here and the memories made.

Nous avons passé 4 semaines en famille. Elle offre une vue très agréable et la présence des animaux nous a ravis. Cependant nous avons eu l'impression que la maison n'avait pas été préparée pour notre sejour. Beaucoup de réparations n'étaient pas faites à notre arrivée. La serrure de la salle de bain était cassée laissant la possibilité de rentrer dans la maison. Le portail était bloqué à notre arrivée, nous avons laissé la voiture dehors. Du mobilier de piscine inutilisable car cassé. La cuisine manque d'équipement, pas assez de vaisselle, manque un four pas de lave vaisselle. Il manque une table pour prendre un repas à l'intérieur (maison envahie d'insectes le soir et beaucoup de pluie). Maison très humide. Attention, nous avons eu 3 chambres, la 4ème pièce est une réserve, pas de lit, que du stockage et produits ménagers. Maison très difficile d'accès, 4X4 obligatoire sur 7 km. Nous avons eu un différent avec la propriétaire sur un dégât reproché dont nous ne sommes pas à l'origine.

Excellent séjour. Singes, paresseux, toucans, colibri, morphos... au rendez-vous juste devant la terrasse. Spectacle merveilleux au réveil. Maison parfaite pour 6 et lors de notre période (août). Merci à Monica et à Mandy

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in der Unterkunft. Ein wunderschönes Haus mitten im Dschungel. Die riesige Glasfenster mit Blick in den Dschungel ist atemberaubend.

We had the pleasure of staying 3 nights at this wonderful property. The house is stunning and the setting spectacular with jaw dropping views and was well worth the steep and bumpy drive! 4x4 recommend... We were not blessed with the best weather whilst there but we still saw some amazing animals in the grounds and were able to use the pool a little. The house is well equipped with everything you could need in the kitchen for our family of 4. Just so you are aware there are 2 bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs with the bathroom so may not be suitable for everyone. We would not hesitate to recommend this house for a relaxing few days to escape the world.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in Mandys Dschungelhaus. Wir konnten viele Tiere beobachten, unter anderem Tukane, Affen und ein Aguti. Der Pool war sehr sauber und schön und die Unterkunft hatte alles, was wir benötigten. Insbesondere die Waschmaschine und der Trockenraum waren nützlich. Die Anfahrt geht über Schotterwege und ist zum Teil sehr steil. Wir mussten mit Frontantrieb teilweise mehrmals ansetzen, um die letzte Auffahrt zu schaffen. Allradantrieb und genügend Bodenfreiheit macht daher definitiv Sinn. Der Weg lohnt sich aber und wir können die Unterkunft wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

Nous avons passé 10 jours au calme chez Mandy. L'environnement dans la jungle et la vue sont incroyables ! Ventilateurs dans chaque pièce, moustiquaires aux fenêtres, c'était impeccable ! Attention, 4x4 indispensable pour monter jusqu'à la maison. Beaucoup de moustiques en cette période, aussi bien le jour que la nuit, ils nous ont dissuadés de profiter de la terrasse et de la piscine ahah

The house was everything we had hope for, we had an amazing time staying there. It was truly a magical place, the connection with nature was unbelievable. It was a bit rough getting there but Monica (manager) was extremely helpful and went out of her way to make sure we arrived. There are so many things to do around the area 100% recommend.
