Sunset Villa

Terri

Excellent, 3 weeks ago

Had a wonderful week with our family. The place Was clean and located in a quiet area on the island. We loved playing pickleball and sitting on the dock and swimming off the dock as well. The views are amazing, especially the sunsets. Carlos was very helpful and helped get chairs for my elderly father. We were able to see turtle hatchings which was a highlight. Looking forward to coming back

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Unforgettable 50th Birthday Celebration! Our group of three couples spent a week here to celebrate the 50th birthdays of my wife and her best friend, and the property absolutely exceeded all our expectations. The Laspectacular and felt like having our own private beach oasis.Location, Beach & Marine Life:The location is unbeatable. The beach is right at your doorstep, featuring a beautiful deck where we spent unforgettable moments. It sits directly on what feels like a marine life corridor—the snorkeling and sea life just half a kilometer out are breathtaking. The staff was amazing always available and so friendly. Diani an amazing host and amazing logistics coordinator. Mr Nelson Taxy number 10 amazing you can fit up to 7 people in his Taxy. Overall an amazing experience.

Our stay at this villa was nothing short of extraordinary. We were there for a photo shoot, and honestly, we could not have asked for a more beautiful, welcoming, and magical place to call home for the week. The villa itself is absolutely stunning, but what truly makes this place unforgettable is the entire experience. The beach is breathtaking — truly one of those places that makes you stop and think, “Is this real?” We were even lucky enough to witness sea turtle hatchlings making their way toward the ocean, which was such a magical and unforgettable experience. The staff was incredible from beginning to end. Everyone was so kind, attentive, helpful, and genuinely committed to making sure we had everything we needed. They made our stay feel effortless. A very special mention to the chef, who was absolutely amazing! Every meal was delicious, beautifully prepared, and thoughtfully planned. We enjoyed an incredible variety of food throughout our stay, and the menu was honestly excepti

Unfortunately, this stay was disappointing for us. The photos on Airbnb seem to have been edited with AI, making the space appear nicer, larger and tidier than it actually is. The privacy was also very disappointing. The neighbors can easily enter the property via a gate or over a low wall. In addition, there is a boat randomly on the property, and there is a cottage right next to the house where someone is staying. We had deliberately booked a detached house to be able to relax and sunbathe in complete privacy, but people regularly walk by. In our opinion, this was not clearly enough indicated in the listing. The greenery and grounds could also do with a bit of maintenance. The beach looks bigger in the photos than it really is: in reality, it's just a small sandbar that doesn't offer much. The water was green where we were because of the large amount of seaweed and seagrass, instead of the beautiful blue water that can be seen in the photos.

A perfect stay in Isla Mujeres. Diana is an excellent host: attentive, present when needed and always ready to help. The apartment is beautifully maintained and located in one of the most exclusive areas of the island. Carlos, the assistant, was extremely kind and available at all times. The house has three bedrooms and its own private sea access, which in my opinion is one of the most beautiful spots on Isla Mujeres: you can simply stay home and enjoy the sea in complete peace. There is also a pickleball court, which gave us some great sporty afternoons. Top marks for hospitality and location. Highly recommended, we'll be back! Se ti serve anche in spagnolo (utile per l'host locale), dimmelo e te la preparo.

Absolutely beautiful and just like the photos! Private sandy beach was 10/10, pickleball was a family favorite, and private bathrooms in every room were a huge plus. Carlos & Raymond were amazing! No need to leave—food, groceries & golf carts can all be arranged. Ceviche 10/10! Bugs at night are rough and we did notice ants inside, so keep food sealed. Quiet, peaceful and truly a luxury experience. We’d stay here every time!

Host Response

Thanks Andrea! Lovely hosting you

From the moment we arrived, this rental exceeded every expectation. It was everything we had hoped for and more. The floor plan is thoughtfully designed, with spacious rooms and plenty of private bathrooms, making it perfect for families or groups. The private beach is absolutely breathtaking and was meticulously raked each morning. One of the most unforgettable moments of our stay was waking up to several baby sea turtles hatching and watching them make their way to the ocean. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience and a memory we'll cherish forever. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this rental to any family looking for a beautiful beachfront getaway with incredible views and an unforgettable experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Coral House. It's a beautiful house with an amazing view. The house was just as described, perfect for family/friends that want to spend time together and still have personal space. It was nice to get in the water at the small beach area at the end of the day to cool off and not have anyone around. The house is in a great location private and away from the noise, just a short golf cart ride to restaurants and beaches. Diana and Carlos were both super helpful and very responsive. Diana arranged our transportation from airport to ferry. She offered to arrange the trip back, and I wish we had taken her up on that, because we paid 3 times as much for the ride back to the airport. She probably would have saved us some $$. I highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be back

Our stay was absolutely incredible. The property was even more beautiful in person than in the photos—every detail was thoughtfully designed, from the decor to the overall ambiance. The space was spotless, well-maintained, and felt both luxurious and comfortable at the same time. The setting itself was stunning, creating the perfect atmosphere to relax and unwind. Whether it was the natural light, the peaceful surroundings, or the overall aesthetic, everything exceeded expectations. The host was also exceptional—responsive, welcoming, and made the entire experience seamless from start to finish. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable and beautiful stay. Definitely a 5-star experience, and I would absolutely return.

What a slice of paradise! Gorgeous house, so well decorated and clean. Comfortable beds, hot showers, filtered drinking water, cold a/c and a view of the most beautiful electric blue Caribbean water you could ever imagine. Pickleball was fun and there were beach towels provided and even a snorkel & mask available. Carlos the concierge was available at anytime to help us and Timoteo as well! Great guys. We felt totally safe and relaxed on the island. Iguanas were fun to see and the deck down to the water gave us access to the beach/water. Definitely would go back to Coral House!!

We just checked out today and myself and my family really enjoyed our stay at the Coral House! The grounds were amazing and very secluded and peaceful. The days were spent playing pickle ball followed by hanging out on the private dock and swimming in the ocean. Only surprise was there were two separate entrances for 1st and 2nd floor. It did not affect the stay and the whole place was very secure, safe and relaxing. Restaurant just down the road was very good, otherwise fairly far from everything so I would recommend a golf cart. Carlos was also very friendly and helpful and did everything possible to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. Amazing time, thank you and looking forward to returning!

We had a wonderful week here over Christmas with our extended family. The house was beautiful and perfect for a large group—we had 11 people and plenty of space. The beach is even larger than the photos suggest. We rented golf carts, which made getting into town and around the island very easy. We used Caty the Chef for lunch and dinner on Christmas Day, and the food and service were excellent. What truly made our trip extra special was Carlos and the staff. They went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable—helping with Christmas lights, running to the pharmacy for us, and even recovering Christmas presents that were accidentally left in a cab upon arrival. We ended Christmas night with a bonfire on the beach, which was incredibly memorable. We hope to return soon.

I can’t wait to return to Coral House next year! Diana coordinated transportation to and from the airport and answered all of our questions almost instantly. Carlos is a complete gem and will make sure you have everything you need to be comfortable. This was our first time not staying at an all inclusive in Isla Mujeres but after this stay, we probably will never go back to hotels! Because of the season we didn’t get to enjoy the beach, but wading through the higher tide, we got to see all the sea critters and interesting rock formations (If you’re a geology or oceanography nerd you would love it). Totally perfect trip. Thank you Diana and Carlos!!

The coral house is such a beautiful place to stay. We were really impressed with the decor and attention to detail. Furniture and bedding were super cozy, kitchen was well stocked as well as plenty of towels. The view from the top floor is gorgeous! We had fun playing chess, watching movies and enjoying the private dock for swimming. ACs worked great and we were super at home here. We would love to come stay again next time we visit Isla. Thanks so much Diana, we cant wait to see what you do with the yard! Until next time!

We had such a wonderful stay in Isla Mujeres thanks to Diana and her incredibly hard working team. The villa is a dream - spacious, scenic and luxe. As a guest added to the listing, I found it very easy to engage with the host and her team. They were kind, very, very generous and thoughtful. To be there with my group of girls and have this team make us feel right at home for bach weekend was so special. We will always be grateful. Thanks for such a memorable trip: Diana, Catalina, Carlos and others. You all are world-class.

The accommodation is brand new and really stylishly furnished, very minimal but super chic! The private pick the ball field makes it exclusive The view from the upper apartment is spectacular. Private access to the sea is very convenient, the connected beach is really small but overall useful for its use. The house is clean and Carlos (the caretaker) is very kind and helpful The stay at Casa Corallo is overall super pleasant The accommodation has all the necessary electronic equipment, air conditioning in all spaces (no bathrooms), TV in all rooms, kitchen with dishwasher and microwave Excellent accommodation cleanliness I highly recommend the stay for those who need relaxation in the middle of nature but with style 😜

We really enjoyed our three-day stay at Casa de la Playa!! Beautiful surroundings, with lots of privacy and "own beach". Excellent service and helpfulness from the entire team (Carlos, Ramón and team). Special mention for Catalina (chef) and Humberto, who made our "culinary" stay a very special experience, with excellent local food and very permeable to the requirements of the little ones. In conclusion, a great option to spend a few days with your family in a very special and unique place!!! Thank you very much!!

This was our third time here. Simply amazing home with ample room for our party of 10/12. Great private beach, raked and set up for us daily. Can't say enough about the staff, Carlos and Ramon are very attentive taking care of everything even before we ask. The grounds and room are manicured daily. We hired the chef, Catalina, and she did a great job with our catch of the day. I suggest strong to tip the staff, they work their butts off.

I’m on the flight home and couldn’t wait to write a review for this amazing property. We spent six days with our extended family to celebrate my Husband’s 50th birthday. The property is stunning and the pictures do not do the beach justice. As mentioned in other reviews, it is not the most modern property, but it more than makes up for it in charm, space, views, and location. But what really made our week special was Carlos and the Team- and a special shout out for Chef Catalina and her husband Umberto. We did a brunch and two dinners. The food and hospitality was incredible- Umberto made my husband’s favorite cake (Tres Leches) and it was out of this world. Carlos takes care of anything you could want or need and is always available without ever feeling intrusive. We loved every single moment at Casa de la Playa!

Huge private beach. There is onsite staff which rakes the beach, clean, help order taxi. The house is very large with 6 bedrooms. One on 1st floor, 4 on 2nd, 1 on 3rd. Big balconies all around. The house is older classic style, but it was clean with nice linens. It was perfect for a group of 11. Carlos brought in extra beds so everyone had a bed which was awesome - total 9 beds. Plenty of space for that. We used Carolina as the chef and she was great. I originally booked a 3rd party Chef, but Diana the owner only allows Carolina. We worked it out and Carolina was excellent. It’s on the south west part of the island. It’s very quiet. It’s easy to get into town with a $10 taxi. The beach is amazing - huge and private with nice sand and lounge chairs. After about 20 ft into the water it’s aquatic grass. Split AC in each room that kept it cold. One room did have a smell in the bathroom as others mentioned, but only one. We had a great experience and would come again.

My wife and I have been going to Isla Mujeres for over 27 years. This is the second time we've stayed at this home and we're never disappointed. Carlos, Ramon and the staff are beyond excellent, they took care of all the guest better than any luxury hotel I've ever stayed at. We used the house chef, Catalina, and the food was superb. The sandy private beach is beautiful and secluded, no Norte Beach crowds. We'll be back for sure!

Casa de la Playa worked wonderfully for our three generation family. We had four children three and under and the private beach was the absolute best for our crew. The parents felt safe with this being the case. The staff was wonderful. Carlos and team did a wonderful job. We are fairly self sufficient but they were always there to either order us up a taxi or four and to answer any questions we have. They also made certain that they assisted with the dishes and kept satisfied whatever we needed. Having daily housekeeping was a nice treat. We also had Chef Catalina prepare two lunches and two dinners for our family which was perfect. The food was wonderful and she was a lovely person. If you want privacy, this is a great choice.

Casa de la Playa is amazing, top to bottom. We went with three families with children between 4 and 13. - Carlos and the rest of the staff were so helpful, assisting us wherever needed. This included arranging and accompanying us on an early AM boat ride and shuttle to the airport. - We had a handful of meals prepared for us by the chefs, and they did not disappoint. - The house is top notch. We took the time to explore the entire island and felt strongly that the Casa de la Playa is the best beach and water on the island. We wish we never had to leave.

House is amazing and staff was even better. We hired the Chef to cook 4 breakfasts and 2-3 dinners and was the best choice. When we ventured out for other meals it was disappointing. We all wished we were back at home with great service and food with our chef. We let her pick the meals mostly and they were all great. The cleaning staff raked the beach, swept the porch and constantly picking up any mess we made. They were all great. Carlos was our main connection and spoke English well and helped us communicate with the others if we had trouble. The beach was nice with some seaweed but still could get in and cool off. Kayaking was fun with 4 boats provided. We hired a local 2 man band from the joint (Jimmy) to play at the house for 2 hours ($150 plus tips) it was very fun. Shower pressure in one bathroom was very low and had a sewer smell but wasn’t a major concern. I would 100% go back

Thank you so much for your stay Rich! your feedback is greatly appreciated. We hope to have you back at Casa de la playa very soon!

We had the absolute best time at Casa de la Playa! The house is awesome and had plenty of room for our group of 9 girlfriends! The location is awesome and we were able to walk to get a fresh coconut from a stand just down the street! Carlos and the entire staff were SO accommodating and made sure everything was perfect for our group (and we have some high maintenance people). Rooms were cleaned every day, beach raked every day, Carlos & Ramon were able to have golf carts delivered last minute at an amazing rate. We did use Catalina & Humberto for the majority of our meals and it was absolutely outstanding! Catalina is an INCREDIBLE chef, the best restaurant on the island was at the house!! I recommend letting her pick her specialties…you will be so happy! She makes everything from scratch and took special care with some food allergies we had. I would give the food 100 stars!!!! Catalina really MADE our trip! I can’t say enough great things about the house! Can’t wait to come back!

I’ve stayed in this house 5 times. It’s always exceptional. Carlos and staff are amazing. The house is always clean and the view is like none other. It is my happy place.

Every year we visit Mexico with a group of 8-10. This was our first stay on the island and we cannot wait to come back! Everything at the home is gorgeous. The staff is amazing. Carlos is so helpful and makes sure you have everything you need. If you want to rent a boat or jet skis it can be arranged that they come right up to the private beach! Carlos will have golf carts brought to the house as well. Explore the island, go to playa Norte, go to the tiki bar down the street, definitely eat at Oscar’s. Catalina’s Chef services are delicious & allergy friendly. It was so nice to have family dinner in the house. I highly recommend booking with her at least half of your nights. Our airport transfers were seamless. We all loved our experience and we were sad to leave!

The. Best. We went with our extended family including a 3 and 6 year old- and everyone had the most amazing time. The beach really is bigger than the pictures, the rooms are stunning and large and the location is perfect- secluded, private and stunning. You feel like you are on a private island! But the truly remarkable part about this place is the staff. Carlos and Ramon and their staff made us feel truly special. They helped us with everything we needed- transportation, golf carts, restaurant recommendations and they constantly made the kid's day- they got the best floaties for the water. They kept the place clean as we went back and forth all day and were just genuinely so so kind and wonderful! We had the chef cook for us on the first night and grocery shop for us and she was amazing and her food was so great- she was very accommodating with allergies. In short- my dad said "this is the best vacation of my life". We hope to be back as soon as we can.

What an incredible place! We arrived on a Tuesday afternoon and Chef Catalina and her assistant had arranged a light fare for us while we unpacked and settled in. We used her services for three breakfasts and two dinners to celebrate a marriage ad birthdays. It was absolutely worth it, but I would stick with Mexican dishes instead of dishes like steaks. Overall the house was beautiful and very easy to get to. The two master bedrooms weren't really maste rooms. All of the rooms were around the same size. On the second floor there is one "master" and three other rooms. One of the rooms has a full sized bed and the rest are King beds. There is also a king bedroom on the top floor and on the bottom floor, there is a room with two twin beds. We all thought they were pretty comfortable. Each room on the second floor has a balcony that connects to everyone else's balcony. The main master had a very large bathroom but the smell was horrible and it does not go away. No one else seemed to have this issue in their bathroom like we did. We kept the door shut but it was really bad when you open it in the middle of the night. There is A/C in each room and in the main area which was really great. Carlos and his assistant were there whenever we need them. They helped us set up for a small ceremony, called us taxis, helped translate with the chef, and set up a bonfire for us one evening. The maids did an excellent job! You hardly knew they were there. They cleaned each room and did all of the dishes. They even did some of our laundry which was a total surprise. The outdoor area and beach area is spectacular. It is much larger than in the pictures. The staff racked the beach each morning before we went outside. There are plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas for 10-12 people as well as some floats, two kayaks and snorkel gear to use. The cornhole boards were fine but the bags were not useable which was a bummer for our group. The location of the house was in a great area away from the tourist area. We were able to walk to Zama beach club and a few other spots that had good food, however you need to rent a golf cart if you want to go anywhere else. The local supermarket was about a 5 minute golf cart ride and North beach was about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. We all felt safe and had a wonderful time. Thank you all for helping us celebrate!

Casa de La Playa was a breathtaking property with a private beach, unmatched anywhere on the island. We had 8 adults and 5 kids ranging from 1-6. It was accommodating to those of all ages. Carlos, Timoteo, Ramon and Jacqueline were beyond hospitable and very helpful. We were able to watch several sea turtles come up onto the beach to nest in the late evenings and if you’re able wake up a couple hours before sunrise there were several hatchings. The kitchen was spacious to prepare meals but hiring a private chef for two of the nights and a bartender was the icing on the cake. We took the kids out on kayaks over near the Dolfinanrium each day to watch them from behind the buoys. It was a highlight!! Beside the turtles, and dolphins, there were so many natural elements to explore in the water and on the property. The staff also provided beach toys for the kids. We loved that there was a fabulous restaurant/bar Velavento Menale across the street and Zama beach club just down the road for a change of scenery. Our only complaint is that the AC is non-existent in the bathrooms and it took a while for the house to cool down once we arrived.

We loved staying at Casa de la Playa. The house was beautiful and spacious, and the private beach was truly a delight (and seemed like it was hard to come by anywhere else on the island). Carlos was super helpful and Diana was always responsive. Would definitely recommend for a group looking for a relaxing getaway! My only complaint was that we didn't know we would need cash to pay for meals made by the chef (or massages, if you choose to get them). Taking cash out on the island comes with hefty surcharges. I would recommend taking out dollars or pesos in advance of arriving.

I've stayed at this property twice for girls' trips and both times have been exceptionally relaxing and enjoyable. The on-site staff make everything easy. The private beach is a dream. There is no A/C in the shared parts of the house nor the bathrooms. Though there are several ceiling fans throughout, it can get quite hot/humid depending on the time of day and season. The bedrooms are very well chilled, each with their own unit. All are VERY spacious rooms. This house gives you all the island vibes you seek at Isla, with a touch of luxury and a lot of comfort.

We are obsessed with this property! There’s no way to name our one favorite thing about our stay because there are so many! For starters, the staff! Carlos and his team were readily available the entire time! They were behind us picking up empty beer bottles, glasses, taking out trash, bringing out snacks to the beach, etc. Our laundry was being done the entire trip and he helped us with things like golf cart rentals, private chef for dinner, etc. I can’t say enough good things about the staff. The house was great for 6 couples. One room has two twin beds and they even helped us push them together so the last couple could still be in a bigger bed. The beach in the backyard was breathtaking. They raked the beach each morning and made sure there wasn’t a trace of seaweed on the shore (hardly any seaweed in the mornings). We were sitting on the patio late one night and a massive sea turtle came up on the shore! It was amazing! We will definitely be back!

The property is stunning - private beach is by far the best amenity and is way larger than expected. It comfortably fit 11 people and gave us plenty of room to relax separately and hang out together. The property staff went above and beyond each day to ensure were comfortable, had clean living spaces, and helped us get taxis and golf carts each day. Would not have nearly been as good of a stay if it hadn't been for them! Would also highly recommend the personal chef - she and her family made an amazing 4 course meal for lunch and dinner and it was one of the best days we had on the island! Would book again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful home, beautiful property. Carlos and Timoteo were excellent. Could not possible say enough good things about our week; simply wonderful. We had a group of 12 celebrating a 4th and a 40th birthday. Everything went great. Very nice on the quieter west side of the island, away from the hustle/bustle of the main strip. Just a quick cart ride away, though. Catalina and Umberto were also wonderful and accommodating Monday and Tuesday. Thanks so much, we will be back.

Casa de la playa was definitely 5 stars! We had a group of 4 couples and the house had more than enough room for all of us. The backyard is an awesome setup, and the beach is much bigger than it looks in the photos. We rented golf carts, and it was a 15-20 minute drive to Playa Norte. Carlos and Ramone were amazing. They were always available to help out with whatever we needed. We did not need to do a dish, or worry about having to clean anything up for the entire duration of our stay. By the time we would wake up each day the beach would be raked and the entire house would be clean. Additionally we took advantage of the chef service for one day. We had four course meals prepared by Catalina for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and they were all excellent. Her husband bartended for us and was able to help with whatever we wanted for the entire day as well. Would definitely recommend. My only drawback was that the WiFi was spotty.

First off, this place is absolutely magical! There is literally a white rabbit that roams around at night. Carlos and the rest of the crew take great care of you, they are kind and conscientious. This was our first vacation experience where we had other people doing the cleaning and it was absolutely worth it, though it took a little getting used to. They come in the morning and clean (they even rake the beach!), but they put up the cleaning supplies in another building next to the house when they leave. This is handy to know when a toddler spills something, or you need to clean up something that can't wait for the next day. Also note that they ask an 8-10% gratuity on top of the cost of the rental, which is kind of buried in the description, but again, 100% worth it. One other thing to know is there are very few supplies provided. They do supply soap and shampoo, but kitchen basics like oil, seasonings and paper towels you need to get on your own. It is a small island, so the power may go out, there might be a long line at the store, but you won't care because the place is so stunningly beautiful. Do yourself a favor and book this place, we didn't want to leave!
