We had such a lovely stay at Liya Place! The co-host Javier was absolutely amazing, he was so helpful and quick to answer any questions we had. He also made organising things around the island so easy, from scooter rentals to taxis and anything else we needed. The place itself was beautiful. It was simple but had everything you could need, and the surrounding area was absolutely gorgeous. It’s also conveniently located, with lots of restaurants and other places easily accessible by scooter. You definitely need a scooter to get around this island, but once you have one, the location is great for exploring. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Liya Place!

Spacious house with a large yard, great location, but you have to rent equipment to really enjoy Omita. There was good communication with the hosts, and they gave us recommendations and help with what we needed. There is no air conditioning, but there are many fans. The only thing that was annoying was that every once in a while there were power outages, mostly at night because of the rain. But overall we had a great time

Really great hosts! They were very communicative and proactive. Very nice place and was really clean. The decor was also really pleasant, as were all the amazing things to do nearby!

The accommodation is really very nice and cozy, and it's surrounded by the beautiful nature of Ometepe. In addition, it is located just a few minutes walk from my favorite restaurant on the island: El Pital. Everything was clean, tidy, and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Beautiful, spacious home in a magical setting. Liya and Javier were very responsive and friendly with communication, especially in regard to an issue that arose with the house; Javier did his best to coordinate a quick assessment and solving of the situation with a professional, and Liya was fast and proactive in offering compensation for the challenges we faced due to the issue. Amazing location with a stunning view in very close walking distance to fantastic restaurants and the entire town of Balgue itself. Highly recommended.

This hidden gem was a great find. Liya thought of everything to make it an easy adventure. For the record, there were scattered rain storms throughout the day and we still had very hot water, even still in the morning. 10 out of 10 we will be back again!

No AC but multiple fans so it was fine. It’s also right by Raindance and a bus that hosts local events.

I loved staying at Liya,s place on the island! It was a beautiful stay and had great restaurants all around. It is not very walkable to the activities but you can easily rent a scooter or arrange a private car. I had a great time stay in this beautiful home.

Beautiful home and property in a great waterfront location. It was perfect for our large family. There is air conditioning in every bedroom which is a huge plus. The hosts were friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with. There is also a caretaker who lives on the property, and she was very helpful whenever we needed assistance. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily return.

The place is located in a very unique location, surrounded by trees and a peek of the lake could be seen. Large and very airy place. On our last night the power went out around 10pm and stayed out until after sunrise, considering the private location, it got pitch black. The host brought me candles and it all worked out.

Very nice little house with a garden and a super nice covered terrace. The house is well ventilated and the mosquito nets are in very good condition, which is very helpful because there are many power outages on Ometepe. Large and comfortable beds, nice neighborhood with a supermarket and beaches not far away, as well as the main sites to visit. Independent check-in with a code lock, which is very convenient. The Wednesday party doesn't bother you, or do like me and go have a drink. We felt very comfortable there, like at home.

Great location and large spacious house for our family. Lovely patio. We loved the large kitchen to cook meals and area outside to wash and hang clothes. Liya and Javier were the most communicative, quick and friendly co-hosts for all of our questions - whether for local recommendations, questions about the house, etc. There is no A/C but every room has ceiling fans and plenty of portable fans to move to where you may need to use them for daily living/sleeping; however, be aware of this if you are used to having A/C. It was warmer than it usually is this time of year. Plenty of local restaurants, and shops to buy necessities, smoothie place right next door part of the Zopilote finca, and even an outdoor school literally right next door our 6 year old daughter had the pleasure of being a part of for the almost 2 weeks we were in the area. It was also mango season so we had plenty of fruit to enjoy from the fruit that fell from the trees. Lovely home and location!

Great place The location is good. The house was clean and spacious, and there were lots of fans in the house. There was a problem with the hot water and the water pressure, but we immediately received a response, and the problem was resolved. Any issues we had were easily resolved. Definitely a great place that's worth the price

Amazing location! Perfectly secluded and quiet but only minutes away from restaurants and close to beautiful views of the lake.

We had a wonderful stay. The house is large, clean, and spacious. The kitchen was very well equipped, so we were able to cook a lot. Communication with the owners was quick, and they also recommended a taxi driver and a motorcycle rental company. The location is excellent—central, close to the great El Pital restaurant, and with small supermarkets nearby. It’s important to be prepared for a lot of insects, scorpions, and spiders due to the area, and for those who find the fans insufficient, it can get very hot. In addition, it was difficult to adjust the water temperature in the shower. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

The stay was great. Perfect for 3–4 people. Directly across from the Raindance Hostel for the Wet Wednesday Party Restaurants very close Everything's great; as in the pictures Unfortunately, there is no air conditioning, but you know that in advance :)

A little oasis! We felt like we had our own hidden gem in Ometepe. Location was super close to everything we wanted to do (sunset at Playa Mango, horseback riding at Finca Montania Sagrada, Saturday market in Santa Cruz, etc). Great restaurants just a few minutes away (the hosts have a welcome book with great recommendations). The place was very clean and comfortable with multiple fans and a filter for water. If it’s available, book it!!

We had a wonderful stay Liya's rustic cabin. The location was ideal — peaceful and secluded enough to feel like a true retreat, while still being close enough to El Pital for convenient food options and coffee runs. The air conditioning was surprisingly excellent and reliable (besides one night the power went out), which made it easy to get relief from the island heat. We especially appreciated the quiet surroundings, natural beauty, and relaxing atmosphere. It was the perfect balance of privacy and accessibility. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind while still being near great food and amenities.

Liya's place was a clean and well maintained casita, no bugs and very clean and comfortable. There is no aircon so it gets hot at night but there are plenty of fans and everything worked perfectly. There's great restaurants nearby especially the Café Campestre. There can be noisy in the area at night because of the Raindance parties but the house is lovely and good value if one wants a private stay and there's private parking too. We enjoyed our stay at Ometepe because the house was such a lovely home to come back to.

We really loved it, and we look forward to coming back soon so we can enjoy the house even more.

Everything went very well. Communication was very easy, and Liya sent us a taxi that was waiting for us when we arrived at the port. The location is very nice, in the center of what can be visited on the island. I'm glad to come back

It’s a cute little rustic place in the jungle. we absolutely love the bathtub and the little sitting place by the window. The bed was comfy. And Liya is an amazing hostess. There is a lovely restaurant down the hill by the lake called El Pital from where one can see sunsets over the volcano, a must do. We really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful place!! We absolutely loved our stay here, the place has great natural light, lots of space and a big bed which was very comfortable!! The host was amazing and sorted us with taxis, scooters & a guide to hike the Volcano! The place is in a perfect spot right near amazing food options too!

Overall the hospitality was great and beyond. I was there with my family for my mom's birthday. We all have fun and felt right at home. The place itselft is beyond cozy and beautiful. The host beyond helpful and super communitive.

Liya’s house is beautiful, clean, and very well-maintained. It also provides helpful information about the island, which made getting around much easier. From the moment I arrived, Liya and Javier were extremely supportive. They even offer to arrange taxis. I really appreciated their hospitality and would definitely stay here again.

Good communication. Regarding cleanliness, there were issues such as a dirty pillowcase, cobwebs, a wasp nest, and some dust, but other than that, the place is tiled and just like in the photos. There are a lot of windows, so it feels a bit lacking in privacy because the curtains move and are see-through.

We enjoyed our stay! It was a great location...close to restaurants yet tucked away to have private space. Liya & Javier were very responsive and helpful with any questions we had and helped arrange massages for us! We love Ometepe and this location was perfect for our stay.

A great home base on beautiful Ometepe island. It even had a warm shower, which was an unexpected bonus. Liya was very quick to respond to any of our questions. Even the Wednesday night party noise was not bad at all as the bedrooms are at the back of the house (you couldn't even hear it over the fans). So nice to have a fan for every bed and such an easy and convenient coffee machine! Thank you

A super cozy house at a great spot on the Island. Owners were always responding quickly and were very helpful. We had a great time, thus we instantly extended our stay. We recommend renting Scooters and you will be able to go to the best spots and restaurants within minutes!

We loved liya’s place. The location was perfect and it felt like home in no time. We needed help with a few things during our stay (extra blankets, as one single sheet we found not to be enough. And trouble with the lights and internet)and the hosts were very responsive and helpful. The home was a little dirty and needed some love in certain areas but nothing major. Overall, wonderful stay and worth the money. We would definitely return.

The house was well located with parking and close to many activities and the beach. It was clean and as described with a private parking spot perfect for our needs.

It was amazing! Very beautiful location. Garden is just incredible. A lot of animals around. We saw monkeys, dears, blue butterflies, parrots and some other birds. Recommended. Nice small rental that offers everything you need, easy check-in. Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Very quiet area. It's private and away from the main street but still close to restaurants and the grocery stores. Groceries and ATM within walking distance. All in all very good value for money.

We stayed for 2 nights and were very glad this is where we booked to stay! The location is great and the house is private, clean and nice. The decor is well done with nice lounge area. The beds are very comfortable! Nice to enjoy a hot shower too!! We didn’t do any cooking with great restaurants close by but the kitchen seemed well stocked. A favorite of this trip!

Lovely house, very spacious and clean. The host is very kind and highly responsive. It’s great that there’s a booklet with tips about the area. You can park your car in front of the house on your own property. There are no air conditioners, but there are fans, which worked fine. The shower was nice with hot water. One downside: there are no window coverings, so it gets very bright early in the morning, which wasn’t ideal.

Awesome larger spot with cool lake view over the forest. Classic Ometepe bug/animal encounters in and around the home (Scorpions, centipedes, spiders, bats etc etc.) Great location just above a couple of restaurants if walking, with a moto everything’s 5 minute accessible in Balgue/Santacruz areas. Great host, great stay, stoked!

Great place, and definitely the right way to do an Airbnb. Water filter with water, some tea and coffee ready to go. Close to everything but quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended.

Beautiful place in nature with beautiful plants around and with a view over the lake. The house is spacious and nice. Liya communicates very clear and quick and is helpful. So i would definitely recommend the place!

The name says it all- this was TRULY an oasis. Nestled in the charming viney forest, surrounded by every type of flower- amazing. Directly across the street from the path to Pital, incredible restaurants right down the road- the BEST part of the island and cozy. Liya answered all of our questions and responded positively to every request. It was wonderful. *Just be sure to bring all your belongings indoors at night- there are people in Ometepe who are not financially stable and desperate. This has NOTHING to do with the place- just a general note to travelers and applies to anywhere with economic disparity, really. Thank you Liya!!

Great stay here. Liya was amazing to communicate with and very helpful. The guide for activities and restaurants was extremely helpful. We were so happy that we chose to stay here, location was great, incredible value. We would definitely come back and stay here again, highly recommend!

I really like Ometepe and Liya's place. It's quiet, yet within walking distance of many places. When I arrived around 8:00 p.m., it was pitch dark, and I could not find the right entrance. Thankfully, my taxi driver was very helpful. He coordinated with Liya, and we were finally able to find the place! Liya and the taxi driver were both so kind and helpful. I felt like I was staying at a friend's home because they took such good care of me! I highly recommend Liya's place. A+++

The property was beautiful, but clean and pleasant, located in an excellent area near a motorcycle rental opposite a hostel with a restaurant and pool, and a 5-15 minute walk from many excellent restaurants. Highly recommended

It's an excellent starting point for exploring the island, offering multiple options nearby. In addition to its convenient location, the place is extremely quiet and magnificently well-equipped (we genuinely lacked nothing). Communication with Liya is seamless, and is incredibly attentive, always ensuring you have everything you need. Highly recommended for a relaxing vacation!

We had a great stay in this very cute garden house! The location on Ometepe is perfect, close to the main sights and with great restaurants around. The host made us feel really welcome and was really easy to talk to. The recommendations on food and the scooter/ATV rental were also perfect. Would definitely come back here!
