This place was just amazing. Mario was very responsive and friendly. The lady that awaits for you to check in was just kind and very friendly, she was responsive and explained everything in details, very lovely experience with her. The house was clean and functional, the kitchen had everything we needed, the restrooms were clean, the towels were clean and well organized, the beds and rooms were well organized and clean. The pool was clean and very relaxing, the furniture in places and the house was amazing decorated. The location had an amazing atmosphere and view and we didn’t have any issues with neighbors or the house itself. If you’re looking to spend a day in Los Altos de San Juan, that’s the right place. People should look forward working with Mario as he’s an amazing host and person. Very friendly, I’ll look forward to go back with my family. Nothing bad happens, nothing more than just good experiences.

Great place to stay if you’re going to be in San Juan del Sur!

I spent two nights at the house with my best friends to celebrate my birthday, and honestly, the house exceeded all of our expectations. There were 16 of us, plus two pets, and Mario was kind enough to let us bring them at no additional cost, which we really appreciated. Wendy, the housekeeper, was wonderful, she was friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. She answered all of our questions promptly and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The house is huge, beautiful, spacious, and the perfect place to spend a vacation or celebrate a special occasion. We also appreciated that the extra electricity usage wasn’t an issue. We were respectful and responsible with our consumption, so the additional usage was minimal, and we were able to fully enjoy our stay without even needing to leave the house. Mario, our host, was incredibly kind, responsive, and accommodating from start to finish. Without a doubt, we’ll be coming back as soon as possible. Tysm!

Everything was very good. The house is spectacular. The only thing we didn't like was the electricity. After 25 watts of consumption, you have to pay for the excess. They should just charge more on the rate.

Excellent place, super spacious

The house was beautiful, as were the rooms and bathrooms, which were impeccable. It's a place with a beautiful view; I would definitely stay here again!

The house is very nice, comfortable and well equipped. The rooms are spacious, the pool is excellent, and the kitchen is fully equipped, all in very good condition. We found the price to be reasonable, and we also really appreciated that pets are allowed, as we were able to bring our two small dogs with us without any issues. However, there are a few points to keep in mind. The main one is energy consumption: they only include 25 kWh per night, which we found to be very little. We stayed for two nights and had to pay an additional $106, even though we spent a lot of time outside the house. We recommend paying close attention to this issue to avoid extra charges. It was also difficult to find the location. There is construction in the area, and we drove around several times before arriving. Ideally, the host should provide a meeting point or some form of guidance, as is done at other places. Finally, for families with infants, it can be a bit inconvenient, as all the main bedrooms are on the second floor and the stairs are...

The house is very nice and spacious, everyone who works for the house was available if we needed anything, the only thing I would recommend is that the streets be cobbled very soon so that it is much easier to access, we did not have 4x4 vehicles but we were able to get to the house easily. Everything else was excellent and the view was much better! We hope to return soon.

A good house to stay in San Juan de Sur, a good stay. The only bad thing is how to get there, the GPS sent us the other way, there were a lot of detours due to the construction, but in the end we made it. I would recommend a video of how to get there exactly

The villa is fantastic! Lots of space to enjoy meals with company or social time in the many different spaces. Gorgeous pool with pool house. The artwork and landscaping are spectacular! I’ve stayed multiple times and will definitely return again soon.

Amazing host and a great home! The only suggestion I would make is to clarify in the listing that the electricity bill will be charged separately. For just three days, we were billed $169 for electricity—even though we were only at the home during the day and night. A bit more transparency up front would help guests better understand the total cost. OTHER THEN THAT 5 STAR!! GREAT HOME TO STAY WITH YOUR FAMILY.

Great place to stay! A little hiccup getting there since we got there late and it was raining, but well worth it. Host was very responsive. I’d stay there again if visiting San Juan del Sur with large group!

The home is even nicer than it appears online. It really was magnificent. The housekeeper Santos was amazing as we had her prepare breakfast every day (extra fee). We had a great time hanging out at the pool in the evenings.

Mario is a great host. His house is well equipped for little kids to have space to play, swim, etc. the house is close to grocery stores and restaurants. Very secure area. Looking forward to returning in the future.

The area that Marios place is one of the best in the city. Close to shops restaurants and even Walmart if something is needed. Marios' home is the perfect place for a large group or a family vacation. It had all the amenities as listed and Marios place is STUNNING. The attention to detail and cleanliness of the place was over the top. As far as communication he was a great host and very responsive to any requests. I cannot wait to stay here again. Such a beautiful and perfect place for our family vacation.

This place is AMAZING, and considering the neighborhood, the surroundings, the property itself, you are getting a bargain for the price. Beautiful house, surrounded by greens and lots of gorgeous vegetation and tall trees. Every environment of the property is in pristine condition. The house comes with staff, that will ensure you are well taken care of, a cook, a maid, a gardener and private security guard. The place is so safe, that you don't need lock the door. You will truly enjoy Casa Palmeras, very cozy and undeniably good taste design and architecture. This is a private gem with incredible staff. They went above and beyond to accommodate me and my colleagues for several days. The house and amenities were great, with lots of indoor and outdoor dining. The air conditioning and quality of the home were terrific.
