4BR Villa in Puerto Vallarta

Josh

Excellent, 3 months ago

Very nice stay and great location. Carlos and Vanessa were amazing!

Host Response

Thank you.

We had a great time at Villa Rosa! The house has everything that you need and it’s very spacious. The pool was fantastic and the area was very safe. While it’s on a hill, it was easy to get uber to pick up and drop off. We used the location Casa Cupula as the pick up and drop off spot. Vanessa and Carlos made great breakfast for us and were very helpful. While we felt comfortable staying in the room that’s detached from the house (under the pool), you might want to consider it as you may feel slightly disconnected from everyone. The detached room is nice but feels disconnected from the rest of the house. However, all the other rooms in the main villa were very accessible. The hosts were very responsive and we were welcomed with snacks and drinks! I’d definitely stay again at Villa Rosa! It’s super close to the romantic zone and a short uber away.

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb during my birthday trip to Puerto Vallarta. The place was absolutely beautiful, very well maintained, and felt comfortable and special from the moment we arrived. You can really tell a lot of care goes into the property. The location was perfect—close to Zona Romántica and about a 10-minute walk to the beach, restaurants, and everything we wanted to explore. There is a small hill to climb on the way back, but honestly, it just felt like a bonus workout and was totally worth it for the views and the quiet. Our host, Tom, was incredibly attentive and responsive throughout our stay. Vanessa and Carlos were also wonderful and made sure we were well taken care of with food and alcohol needs, which made the experience feel extra smooth and welcoming. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and a big part of what made this trip so memorable. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Puerto Vallarta.

The chefs and cleaners, Carlos and Vanessa, attended to all our needs and prepared wonderful meals and desserts. It was like an all inclusive vacation and all we needed to do was reimburse for receipts. Our group included 8 members and we’d have not easily found a restaurant to accommodate. Thankfully we ate at home often Our Uber driver was a little confused by the address so we started using Casa Isabel to get us next door to the house

Host Response

Thank you for your review. I am glad you enjoyed yourselves.

Great stay overall and very responsive host. Tom quickly contacted the provider when Wi-Fi was unstable in the living room; the bedroom signal was strong after that. The place has beautiful views and a comfortable setup. Special mention to Vanessa and Carlos, their home-cooked meals were incredible, full of flavor and warmth. They made the stay feel even more personal and memorable. Location is excellent, right at Zona Romántica but tucked up the hill for a quieter feel. Just note it’s a steep area, so take an Uber instead of walking. Thanks again, Tom, for hosting us so well.

Thank you. Thank you for letting me know about the internet problem

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb for our bachelorette trip! Our group of 9 loved the house—it was beautiful, spacious, and had stunning views that made our trip even more special. The location was also fantastic—close to so many great spots, including the beach, restaurants, and nightlife. One of the highlights was the incredible food from Vanessa and Carlos—every meal was absolutely delicious! The house is in a hilly area with a lot of stairs, which wasn’t an issue for us but is something to keep in mind. The host was fantastic—super communicative, helpful, and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, a perfect spot for a group getaway. Highly recommend!

Host Response

Thank you very much.

Loved the house! There is a hill to get to the house that was fine the first 5 days, but the last day I really felt it. I enjoyed the option of having Carlos and Vanessa, we used them for 2 days and they were amazing but we really wanted our privacy. They popped in when we requested and picked up groceries for us. Everything you need is a 20 min walk or less, or a cheap uber ride away.

Host Response

Thank you for your review.

My daughter and I are familiar w Pv. It was my sister’s & their families first. There was 10 of us. Tom included very easy instructions & tips. I’m sure if i was not there, my family would have been fine with all the information he provided. On our trip, my sister had a mishap on a zip line & was now on crouches. We asked if we could drop off our luggage early, to help her. Vanessa & Carlos were still getting the place ready for us. It was hot & the climb up was more than we expected. So be aware of that. It was not in a very busy area but in walking distance of everything. It was perfect. We were exhausted when we arrived. Vanessa seen us sweaty & struggling and let us sit by the pool. It was not our intention to stay. We were very grateful. We loved Toms place. We had just enough space, to not want to kill each other. We were all very comfortable. If that does not sell you. The meals Carlos & Vanessa made us will. I had some of the best meals i have ever had here. We all loved it. TY

Villa Rosa is BY FAR the best Airbnb in PV (we have stayed in many!) The pool is an absolute delight, stunning views, kitchen stocked with all needed utensils and to add: the superb staff! Vanessa, the cleaner, and overall helper, is a joy. She would appear or stay away as we needed. Her husband, Carlos, can cook when wanted and he keeps the villa working seamlessly. We cannot wait to come back to Tom’s great place- book way in advance because it is always occupied with other lucky guests! Thank you Tom for being so responsive and helpful. PSA: the stairs in the villa have sturdy railings which are very appreciated by those with mobility issues.

Host Response

Thank you for your kind words. Come back anytime.

The airbnb was perfect for group of 6 people. The pool is such a great feature and probably our favorite part of the house. Overall, the location is great by car. Not very walkable though at least for us since it's definitely a mini hike to get in and out but all of PV is pretty much the same. This house is definitely better than other homes located in more inclined areas. The home is very private and the chefs were great. We used their services the first day, food was really good and it took the hassle out of looking for a place to eat right after a long flight.

Villa Rosa is well worth a stay. My friends and I were all wowed by the views over the city and the creature comforts. Carlos and Vanessa were excellent caretakers and we loved the meal they made for us. The fact that this place has parking for two cars is also very useful. It is a bit up the hill and navigating drivers there can be somewhat of a hassle but that is not the fault of the hosts, and it really didn’t take away from how lovely this place is.

Great stay for a group of friends! The location is great and a short 15 minute walk to the Zona Romantica bars and restaurants. The house is on a big hill; so if you intend on walking to and from that area, be prepared for a big walk. Having the maid and chef there was amazing. Vanessa is an amazing cook!

Host Response

Thank You

My stay at Villa Rosa left me speechless. From the impeccable cleanliness of the home to the thoughtful anticipation of every guest’s needs by the host, every detail was perfection. The amenities provided were exceptional, and the service from Carlos & Vanessa was beyond compare. The culinary experience was truly out of this world. Carlos & Vanessa went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Choosing Villa Rosa for my 40th birthday vacation was the best decision I made, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an unforgettable getaway.

We celebrated my wife’s 30th birthday at Villa Rosa. The view once you arrive is unbeatable. We were greeted with fresh guacamole, salsa, chips, and delicious margs by Tom’s staff upon our arrival. I also requested birthday decor and a chilled bottle of champagne upon our arrival which was done beautifully. The staff works around your itinerary for meal preparations. Breakfast was always delicious. Our only complaint was the hot water in the master suite. It was barely warm if that, and sometimes ice cold showers when the others were showering, but that’s a small price to pay for the incredible views. Thank you again Tom. We had a wonderful stay.

Host Response

Thanks Mitchell for your nice comments. I will check the situation with the hot water. There is a solar water heater and a tankless hot water heater so there should have always been hot water. Tom

The views in this place are insane!! I wanted to feel like I was staying in a traditional home with a touch of luxury and this was the perfect place! Carlos and Vanessa were great! The best food we ate on the trip were prepared by them. I had a few people on the trip that weren’t staying in the house and they were very helpful in accommodating those guest when they attended meals. Now the only thing I was a little disappointed in was the 4th bedroom. It’s an in law suite and very secluded from the rest of house. I didnt feel comfortable making any of my friends stay down there, while everyone else was in the main house. However, this is in the context of the kind of trip I planned (we are all super close friends). This would be fine in most other situations. Another small thing is the pool gets very little sun, but that forced us to just get out more. I would def recommend this place and would stay again myself.

Our stay at Villa Rosa was great. Tom, Vanessa, and Carlos were quick to accommodate our early arrival and remained flexible to adjust to the changes in timelines, party size, and meal requests associated with our group. The villa was beautiful and accurately described/depicted in the ad. Carlos and Vanessa went above and beyond from the moment of our arrival. Without request, we were met with poolside with Margaritas and snacks that were the perfect kick-off to our mini-vacation. Each dinner was amazing: the lobster with tequila sauce and paella were both out of this world. And Vanessa baked a wonderful tres leches cake birthday cake for one of our group members. Honestly, I would go back just for the food, but the views, the pool, the master suite (with giant jacuzzi) and ideal PV location were all 5-star as well. I look forward to my next stay!

This is my second time staying at Tom's place. We stayed in 2014 and Vanessa and Carlos are the reason we came back! The house is wonderful and what the ad says, no surprises. But Carlos and Vanessa were there back in 2014 and still there in 2023. Great meals, great service. They had exactly what we ordered ahead of time ready for us. Each morning we picked the menu for the following day. They were super flexible if we wanted breakfast and dinner one day and breakfast and lunch another day, and lunch and dinner the day after. The pool is the perfect size for dipping and lounging and even though it was super hot and humid, we didn't notice from the pool. The walk down the hill is good exercise, you'll def want to uber or taxi back up unless you are in great physical shape. its a steep hill! The uber was only 3.00 USD. We'll be back again and again. Its our favorite Airbnb that we have stayed in in PV.

Host Response

Thanks Jeff

The pool doesn’t get direct sun - which could be good for some - not great for others. The number of keys needed to gain access is ridiculous. Made it difficult. Couldn’t achieve hot showers and the tub wasn’t usable because the water was warm, but never hot. Location is an easy walk into town - but the walk back is steep - just be aware if you have guests that struggle with that sort of thing. It is next door to a club which plays really loud dance music starting at noon. The views are extraordinary

Host Response

Hi. There are 4 keys for double bolt locks for security reasons. If one is lost then all the locks don't have to be changed. There is one to the gate and one that fits the front door and patio door. There is one for the upstairs entrance which most people don't use. I am sorry for your inconvenience. I will have Carlos check the hot water. When I stayed there a few days prior it was fine but things can change. Thank you for your comments.

Villa Rosa is amazing! It has everything you could ask for. Carlos and Vanessa are welcoming and helpful and the food and drinks were fantastic! Close walk to town (it is on a hill) and close to the best Michelada's just down the hill. Only note would be that the two twin room has a separate entrance but is still attached to the house and needs a separate key and if the lower gate to villa is locked need a key to get in there and there is not view. Other than that all the other rooms have a great views and all rooms have ensuite bathrooms which are definitely needed with big groups. Will def stay again!

We stayed with a group of 8 at Villa Rosa and loved it. Vanessa and Carlos were amazing and we did breakfast every day and lunches most days. They were flexible with us as one day we requested dinner instead of lunch and they made it happen. The house is very cool and has a lot of charm but also very comfortable, and large! The outdoor pool is very nice. We got direct sun in the pool from about 10-1 which was nice and it stayed warm where we still used it in the early evening as we all congregated before dinner. The one note I would make is that it is up quite a steep hill and while accessible by taxis/ubers, we did have one car not be able to make it up. We walked up and down a couple times per day but for anyone with walking limitations, just be careful as you may not be able to be dropped off at the door by each taxi there. But we all agreed we loved it and would stay here again!

My group of 6 had a wonderful stay at Villa Rosa for 3 nights. Pros: beautiful home, decor, heated pool, comfortable beds, incredible city-scape views, using the jacuzzi that overlooks the city is very relaxing too. And if you decide to opt for the maid / chef I am sure that is nice. My group decided to opt out since we wanted privacy and to try new places to eat during our stay there. Cons: The house is set in the hills above Zona Romantica, so if you are like my group, we walked into town and back up to the house every day. It is a steep hill, but probably for the best to burn off some calories :P I wished there was new 5 gallon water containers provided at the house with a dispenser, so we would have created less plastic waste. Other than that, the house was amazing.

Host Response

HI, Thank you for your comments. The house has a water purification system so drinking bottled water is a client option.

I stayed here with 9 friends and we had a blast! It feels so luxurious and there’s a lot of space if you need some quiet time from your travel companions. The pool was warm, the beds were comfortable and the view is even better than the pictures. This is more than 5 stars. It is worth every penny. Vanessa and Carlos are friendly and helpful. They make everything so convenient - you never need to worry. Go ahead, book it! You seriously won’t regret it. I’ll never forget Villa Rosa.

We were a group of seven and this our third time at Villa Rosa since 2018. As always, the place was perfect. The house was always kept spotless throughout our stay, great private pool, amazing views, and Vanessa & Carlos were fantastic as usual. As our host, Tom was very responsive to our questions.

Tom is great with communicating and making sure you have everything you need before arrival. Vanessa and Carlos are a great team. They took such great care of us from Day 1 until the end of our stay. The Villa was super clean and comfortable and Carlos’s cooking is the bomb!!! Having Vanessa and Carlos prepare our breakfast and dinner meals saved us so much time and money instead of having to arrange group meals out in the city which can be time consuming and financially draining. It is a bit of a hike up the hill to get back to the Villa but it is 100% worth that walk and the views of PV from the Villa…AHHMAZING! plus who doesn’t need the exercise after a vacation of eating and drinking. In my opinion, if u look at the hill as a minor obstacle, the Villa is pretty close to everything. Depending on where you’re going in the Romantic Zone it could be anywhere to a 10-20min walk. If I have another big group during my next PV trip I will definitely stay at Tom’s place and will definitely request Vanessa and Carlos’s services!

Vanessa, Carlos, and Tom made our stay at Villa Rosa the most amazing trip with friends. Vanessa was super sweet and VERY helpful. She made sure we were always comfortable, made delicious margaritas, helped schedule us in villa massages, and overall provided us with awesome service. Chef Carlos made DELICIOUS meals and catered to our tastes impeccably. Thank you Tom for allowing us to stay at your beautiful villa. I hope we can visit again soon!

Had a wonderful time with my large family! Location of Villa Rosa is at the right within Zona Romantica and just an Uber ride or short car ride away from major attractions within Puerto Vallarta. The views from Villa Rosa are amazing, but what even tops that are the services that Carlos and Vanessa provide! The food prepared was the best part of it all, and the housekeeping kept us with a peace of mind not having to worry about clothes, cleaning etc!

Host Response

Thank you. Come back again.

Villa Rosa really exceeded our expectations. This is our first time staying at a place with a chef and maid and Chef Carlos and Vanessa really made our vacation extra special. From the welcome margaritas, to bomb mexican dinner and waking up to the smell of breakfast in the morning. We were so sad when it was time to leave and wanted to take them back to LA with us! The views from the villa is breathtaking. The master bath is amazing though we never got to try the hottub. People can’t shower at the same time because the water pressure gets weaker but that was never an issue, just take turns. The villa is located close to all the restaurants, bars and the beach. It is a good hike back up but we only had to do that once, the rest we ubered. Uber is so cheap like $3-5. We felt safe even during the pandemic because Carlos and Vanessa were always wearing masks. We only had one issue due to a blackout on our second day. Vanessa said it will only last 5 hours but it lasted all night and all morning. Since the water system is controlled by an electric pump we also didn’t have running water so no one was able to shower and toilets weren’t flushing. We had to miss my birthday brunch at ocean grill the next day and almost had to pay $200usd for cancellation. It was a little stressful but they were able to find a place for us next door to shower the next day and the owner was nice and refunded us for the inconvenience. Our last breakfast was also free! So overall, still rating this stay 5 stars and would definitely stay here again. Villa Rosa will always have a special place in our hearts and I enjoyed spending my birthday here ♥️

Vanessa & Carlos made this experience wonderful. From the welcoming margaritas with chips and guac to waking yo each day to a really good breakfast. The location is pretty close to all the action in Zona Romantica, albeit there ate some big hills to walk up and down. The biggest downside about the villa is the sunlight. There’s very little, if any, sunlight to lay and relax in, at least in February. We would’ve liked to spend more time at the villa itself, relaxing, but without sun to tan in, tended to go out on our own to find sunlight. There is a bedroom that is a little disjointed from the house, which makes the guests in those room feel a little less involved but all the other rooms, especially the Master suite, was absolutely perfect

We stayed in the villa for 8 days with friends and our baby. The photos didn’t do justice - the house was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and we couldn’t get enough of the view of the old town and the sea. Tom was very responsive. Carlos made us delicious Mexican meals and Vanessa made sure we didn’t lift a finger with any housework. We just enjoyed the heated pool and the margarita drinks C and V made for us. The beach and amenities were a short walk away. Other guests have also pointed out that the house is situated on a steep-ish hill so we just used Uber, which was inexpensive, to go up and down when we had our baby with us. The cobblestone pavement and the hill were impossible with the baby stroller. Overall, we loved our time in the villa and came home relaxed and longing to experience it again. We will consider Villa Rosa next time we’re in town.

Lovely house a bit of a climb but nothing we couldn't walk. Close to the Zona Romantica (10 minute walk, 2 minute uber). The heated pool is integrated into the living space with gorgeous views of the bay. The place is nestled in a shady hillside high enough to catch the breezes but not so high that you feel isolated. The bedrooms are lovely and we all had a great time. Carlos and Vanessa took good care of us doing laundry everyday and keeping us in breakfast and snacks when we needed it.

The place is great, an amazing view, close to zona romantica and Carlos and Vanessa are wonderful. The hill is as described in other reviews. Once you get past that, you really can’t get a better location. We had 3 singles and one couple and that was comfortable because the room with the single beds is off the main house. The pool doesn’t get direct sun so we had to go down to the beach to lay out.

Villa Rosa was absolutely amazing! Highly recommended staying here and it is very close to the beach. It is a bit of a walk and the walk is uphill both ways but can be done. Uber’s to town are very reasonable if needed. Vanessa and Carlos were very helpful throughout the trip and made us the best meals! Last note about house is 4th bedroom is connected to garage which was not what I was expecting... we used an air mattress to accommodate all guests in the main house.

Our group of seven just completed our second visit to Villa Rosa and it was a great trip. Tom is a great host and always responds quickly, the villa is a great space, the location is perfect, and Vanessa and Carlos were amazing as before. They kept the place very clean, did all of our grocery shopping and made amazing meals. I would recommend Villa Rosa to anyone looking to stay in PV.

Host Response

I am glad youbhad a great time.

I’m not even sure where to begin with this review as I’m not sure words can describe what it was like staying at Villa Rosa. The place itself was immaculate and breathtaking. The views of the city were picture perfect. Vanessa and Carlos. I’m not sure how I’m going to live without them!! They were AMAZING. Everything we asked for they provided. Their food was delicious and beyond anything we could have expected. I looked forward to every single meal. They were just a delight. We are already planning our trip for next year and would ABSOLUTELY stay again. We rented a couple of cars and there was garage space for both of them. The house is on a hill with some steep hills. Driving was not an issue. Others in our group walked back many times with no issues either. Highly recommend!!

Alta Vista views with spectacular food...the staff, Carlos, an incredible cook and his beautiful wife, Vanessa were so attentive and reliable. We did have a water problem during our stay and. Carlos repaired the situation within an hour. I would stay there again but not during the rainy season. We walk everywhere and the steep hill access would be very dangerous when wet. You would have to rent a 4 wheel drive or perhaps change your plans and weather out the storm inside Villa Rosa

Host Response

Hi Curtis, Thank you for your very nice comments. During the rainy season it is like Florida weather for the most part. It is sunny in the morning, clouds up, and rains in the late afternoon/evening. Taxis and Uber have no problem getting to Villa Rosa. You could walk up if you want but most people would not want to get wet. The street from the top entrance has a more gradual slope.

I traveled to PVR with six of my friends and had an amazing time at Villa Rosa. The place is beautiful, clean and comfortable. Carlos and Vanessa made everything super easy for us, cooked delicious meals, helped us arrange transportation, and were all around great hosts. The location is a bit up a hill but it’s no problem getting into town. Just take a taxi on the way back up. We would definitely stay here again.

Thanks Jake. Come back again.

What a great trip we had this year!   This was our third visit to Puerto Vallarta but our first time staying outside of an all-inclusive resort and this experience was so much better.   Someone had previously commented that the pictures of Villa Rosa do not do it justice,  and we totally agree! This place is fantastic! We were a group of 8 adults it did not feel crowded at all: the bedrooms, common areas, pool deck and the heated pool were all perfect for a group our size.   The property is a 10-15 minute walk from the beach and downtown area which is perfect as it's just far enough away from touristy areas but close enough that everything is quickly accessible. We even had a convenience store just a short walk away.   Carlos and Vanessa were fantastic hosts!  They looked after our grocery shopping, two meals per day, all the cleaning and also our laundry.  The food was fantastic, it was truly an authentic food experience!  The welcome snacks and margaritas were such a good idea, we highly recommend that you choose this option, you will not be disappointed.  They also made and served us margaritas before leaving for the day.   Although not a fault of Villa Rosa, it should be noted that there is a large rental property next door which was hosting a party of at least 15 very loud spring breakers during part of our stay (which grew to at least double during one of their pool parties). Given the layout of the structures around the area, it's pretty difficult to get away from the noise. However, this was something that our group neglected to check before booking, so future guests may want to keep this in mind when scheduling their stay.   Our overall experience at Villa Rosa was one of our best trips to PV and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great experience.

Host Response

Thank you for your comments. You sually the property next door. I have no control over who he rents to. I am sorry they were noisy.

From the minute we arrived and were greeted with margueritas we knew we picked the right place. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay, with a large group of 10 people we felt like we had lots of space. Tom was also very accommodating as we added people to the reservation late. We all couldn't stop talking about the amazing food and hospitality from Vanessa and Carlos, the perfect place to stay

Host Response

Thank you. I am glad you had a great time.

This is my 5th time staying in Puerto Vallarta and those in our group of 8 were debating whether Villa Rosa was the best or second best of the places where we have stayed in Puerto Vallarta. In either event the stay is wonderful. Everything that is listed in the other reviews accurately describes what makes this home great. The location is perfect--- 10-minute walk down hill to the beach and far enough away from the commotion of the town with great views of the bay. The host, Tom, is very easy to communicate with, very responsive and accommodating. The home is beautiful and well cared for. Clearly the highlight of the stay is the couple who look after the house and prepare your meals, Carlos and Vanessa. Carlos is a fantastic chef and they are both very pleasant people. Having the two of them available to attend to guests’ needs is probably what sets a stay at this Puerto Vallarta home apart from other similar properties. Before arriving, I was somewhat skeptical of what it would be like to stay in a house where the house attendants are always around. It turned out to be not an issue at all. Carlos and Vanessa are always available (during day hours) while at the same time being non-intrusive. I have no negative comments. Of the Puerto Vallarta homes where I have stayed, my vote is that this house is the best. I hope Tom’s home is available for our next visit to Puerto Vallarta.

Host Response

Thank for your kind comments. Carlos and Vanessa are the best. 2018 will be thrir fifteenth year working there. Come back soon.

Everything was amazing at Villa Rosa! Big, spacious bedrooms and common areas. Beautiful views of PV and a fun place to be. 15 minute walk to town and beach. Way better than what we expected. Vanessa and Carlos were amazing! They cleaned up after all of our mess and made bomb food. We came for my friend's 30th birthday, and they bought balloons and a cake for her. It is an awesome place to be if you have a good group of people and want to have fun. Would definitely come back and would recommend to everybody!

Host Response

Thank you Tiffany. I am glad you had a great time. Come back soon.

Tom’s Place was truly incredible and you can’t beat the view. We had six people total and still had enough room for more. Carlos’s cooking skills were amazing and his food was the best we had in PV. Carlos and Venessa arranged for us to have massages at the casa at our request and it was a beautiful and relaxing experience. Every request was handled with kindness and professionalism. I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay and I would recommend Tom’s place over and over again.

Villa Rosa is even better in person than in the pictures. We had a party of 10 stay, and everyone was comfortable and had a great time. The view is far better in person than online, and the house is very walkable going into town and a cheap cab ride back if you don't want to do the hill every time you come back. Tom made booking easy, PRPV made airport pick-yp and drop-off a breeze and Carlos and Vanessa pampered us with amazing breakfasts and lunches, and handled all special requests we asked of them with ease. This is a great place to stay and was the best value for the money we could have asked for. I would love to come back and stay here again and highly recommend this property.

Tom's house is amazing!, style, spaces, city views, jacuzzi, pool, etc. Everything works wonderfully, so our expectations were surpassed in full, even more so when we were attended by Vanessa and Carlos, tremendous hosts!! What a friendly and dedicated staff, committed to ensuring we had the best vacation. Staying there was truly the best decision, so we absolutely recommend this place. Thank you for everything, Tom!!

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Rosa. There's not much to add to all the other reviews, except to say all the praises are true! A lovely, spotless, and *comfortable* villa with commanding views of the Bay of Banderas, a short walk from anywhere we wanted to be in the Zona Romantica. Carlos's meals were indeed delicious, breakfast or dinner. The desserts were awesome (key lime pie!), too. He and Vanessa were incredibly accommodating and made our stay perfect. Tom was great, too, communicating with us when some workers needed to come over for some improvements, very careful to respect our privacy. I would definitely return and highly recommend this property for a fabulous stay in Puerto Vallarta!

I can't begin to describe how amazing our stay was at Villa Rosa. Tom and his team were so welcoming and so helpful from the start. The house is incredible. It's modern comfort in a gorgeous Spanish style with lots of wood and tile. We visited during a very hot and humid week and the pool and AC were always a nice respite from the heat. I highly recommend you opt in for the services of Vanessa and Carlos. Staying at the house is lovely enough, but with Carlos and Vanessa, the Four Seasons ain't got youknowwhat on the Villa Rosa! They know exactly what you need, how you need it and when you need it. Do yourself a favor and have Carlos cook for you!! This dude's got skills, I'm talking Michelin caliber dishes every single time. And he makes the best frozen margaritas I've ever had! Thanks so much for having us.

The house is prettier in person than in pictures. The pictures don't do it justice. All the rooms are exactly as they appeared on the site. The AC worked just fine in every room and you'll definitely need it. We were a group of 9 and had to triple up on the king bed because the first floor bedroom only had two twin beds. In the original picture, it looked like it had three twin beds. No big deal. The biggest gripes I had about the property was the numerous amount of keys that we needed to use to ensure that the place was locked up. The location on the steep hill was close by town but it was really grueling to walk up after a night. Any taxi will know case Isabella or casa cupola. Make sure You have the right keys. The wifi was only shoddy throughout. I had a fabulous time there. Carlos and Vanessa were really nice.

Host Response

The house has one king bed, two double beds, one king bed, and two twin beds in the bedrooms. This would accommodate 10 people if four people slept in the two double beds in one of the bedrooms. There are two different locks with two different keys to gain access to the property. One is for the front gate and the other for the house. The person staying in the downstairs bedroom would have three keys. One key to the bedroom and the other two keys (front gate and key to house) Thank you for letting me know about the wifi. There are two routers to cover the property. The service provider has had some issues this summer as they convert from copper wire to fiber optic. I was there yesterday and noticed it was slow so asked Carlos to call the provider. Thank you for your comments.

The service and home were amazing. The staff at the villa were very friendly we had a big group and offered all the services we needed. I went and stayed here for my my wedding and my family was definitely delighted to see such a beautiful home. Everything listed is just how you get it. Awesome and thanks again for the view and the memories.

Our stay at Villa Rosa was impeccable! From the easy booking and pre-trip check-ins with Tom and the local concierge, to the fantastic onsite staff of Vanessa and Juan Carlos, everything made this feel like the most extravagant vacation I've been on without the enormous cost one would expect. As the other reviews mention, Juan Carlos's food is exceptional and both he and Vanessa make a point to be as helpful as possible. I only wish I would have taken the time to brush up on my Spanish before the trip so I could get to know them better. They were kind enough to endure my middle-school quality "spanglish" and we were able to make it through the week with all taxi cabs booked and meal-plans despite my poor language skills. The walk down the hill to town wasn't bad at all, maybe 10-15 minutes depending on your final destination, and made us feel like we earned every cerveza we drank once we got there. We never attempted walking back up because we were usually too tired from all our shenanigans or it was too late to make crossing the two-lane road before town very safe. Taxis were easy to find from town and it was easiest to steer them the right way by providing the name of the restaurant/hotel directly adjacent to the Villa. We had a total crew of 7 at the peak point of our trip (some left early while others arrived later) and we felt it was a good number. While the Villa could definitely fit more, our group had no need to use the 4th bedroom downstairs, 7 gave us plenty of space to feel like we all had some privacy and weren't stepping on each other's toes or using up all the hot water. One full bathroom per bedroom and one half-bath in the common area was a HUGE bonus too. I would definitely stay at Villa Rosa again and would highly recommend it to all my friends!

Thank you Sarah. I am glad you enjoyes your stay at Villa Rosa. Come back again.

Our stay at Villa Rosa was perfect. The house is quite large, well appointed, and in a good location. It is situated up the side of a mountain and the views are spectacular. On the main level there is a heated pool with a nice deck for getting sun, a kitchen, bathroom, and large living room. We found this the perfect place to just hang out. If anyone in the group needed more privacy, all of the bedrooms were generously proportioned. On the next level was the Master bedroom and upstairs were two more bedrooms. It should be noted, though, that the last bedroom was below the main house with a separate entrance from the garage. This did not bother us at all. The entire house is lovely. Carlos and Vanessa were fantastic! Carlos prepared two meals a day, which for us was breakfast and dinner. We ate very well. That guy can cook! Vanessa assisted in food prep, served the meals and kept the house clean, even doing laundry. This really made for a luxury experience. We all loved our time spent there and would definitely go back.

Beautiful villa! We were greeted with chips, guacamole and margaritas. All delicious!

We just returned home after a week-long stay at Villa Rosa with our three adult children and their families, including a toddler and an infant. That moment when you arrive at your destination after a challenging day of travel and you're not really sure what you've gotten into--"Is it as good as it looked in the pictures?"--was awesome! Villa Rosa is a unique and beautiful home perched up on a hill with wonderful views of old town and the ocean. It is well-furnished and decorated and very comfortable. The children were in the two side-by-side bedrooms with their parents and the thick walls made the rooms virtually sound-proof. We used the pool a lot and never ran of out towels, thanks to Vanessa who did our laundry daily! The house itself would rate at least four stars, but having Carlos and Vanessa coming in every day to clean and prepare meals definitely pushed it to five stars. They are unobtrusive and professional and the meals are wonderful. We had breakfast every day at about 10:00 and dinner between 6:00 and 7:00 and every meal was delicious and well-presented. It's about a fifteen minute walk to the beach through old town, so there is a lot to look at on the way and lots of opportunities for shopping and eating. The hill is quite steep and the house has a lot of stairs. We appreciated that since we were eating so well and that was our only exercise. But that might be a negative for some.

Four of us, two couples, spent a week at Villa Rosa and we loved it. The house was beautiful and in a great location. The views from the house were breath-taking and we never got sick of them. The location was great, a short walk to the beach and the romantic zone and a cheap cab ride back (the house sits on a hill). We used the patio and pool quite a bit and we also enjoyed Carlos and Vanessa. The meals were amazing and reasonable. We couldn't have had a better time. I'd stay here again and again and recommend it to anyone.

Our group stayed at Villa Rosa for 5 days in November. We all loved the villa's charm and personality of the rustic spanish decor were all lovely. The location is perfect view of the beach from the hilltop, close to the center, walking distance to Malecon and taxi's are easy to call for pickup and drop off. Overall, Tom was incredibly helpful throughout the reservation process, very detail oriented and the welcome kit/package was extremely handy. Above all, Carlos and Vanessa's hospitality was exceptional. We would love to stay here again and again!
