Great place

We stayed at the La Mansion Inn Arenal bungalow for 3 nights. Very peaceful and relaxing. The view and the sunsets over the lake from the pool were magical. Fairly close (35 mins) to Arenal Volcano park. We would definitely stay here again if/when we're back in the area. Pura Vida!

We have enjoyed the beatific and tranquil surrounds each time e we have come. The local town with two supermarkets, gas stations, and a pharmacy are all there. People are friendly. There is everything from upscale restaurants for a special evening out to a couple of walkable sodas. La Fortuna is a quick drive away with just about anything you’d want. The bus from San Jose is available but, it requires transfers. Still it’s available, so one would not necessarily need a car. The staff are courteous and helpful and always have a smile. At this point, we love the quiet days when we don’t leave and can admire the local birds, frogs, lizards, cows, and horses! The best parts are the pool and jacuzzi that we have access to, along with a bar and restaurant. We are looking forward to our next trip! Z

Christopher and staff were very helpful and friendly. Our bugalow was private, beautiful, overlooking Lake Arenal. Very picturesque! We che ked in late due to being delayed by heavy traffic, but the hotel restaurant stayed open for us. That was truly a very nice accomodation. And the food was awesome!

The Bungalow was exactly as described and looked like the photos. It was a rainy start, but that accounted for the rainbows I saw over the lake the first two mornings. The large hot pool was under a shade structure, and it was nice after day of riding or hiking. There is a restaurant and bar on the property, which made it convenient.

This was a very good spot - only stayed for one night but it was comfortable and we enjoyed having access to the Hotel's pool and hot tub area and the trail to the lake. It was convenient having a restaurant onsite too. The staff were all welcoming and friendly. The place itself is not fancy, but it is clean and well equipped. We didn't cook a meal but it appeared to have everything needed if we had wanted to. The verandah was a nice spot to have coffee in the morning and enjoy the lake view and watch the horses. Overall, we enjoyed our short time there and would not hesitate to go back.

We had the Most Amazing time Staying at La Mansions Inn. The grounds are beautiful and the sunset over looking the pool onto the lake are stunning. We love the staff and the restaurant was Wonderful! We cannot recommend Christopher’s property enough and we’re already looking forward to going on another trip next year and bringing our grown children back with us… Five Stars!!!! 🌟🌟🌟 🌟🌟

We loved our stay here. The whole place has so much character - colorful tiles, arched doorways, and gorgeous views everywhere you look. Our casita was comfortable, and the staff was friendly & helpful. The infinity pool and heated pool are great amenities. The sunset from the property is amazing right over the lake. Only 15 minutes from tons of eateries in Nuevo Arenal plus a few great sodas just outside the property.

Such a beautiful place to stay!

Beautiful place just as the pictures. Welcoming and responsive staff. Hot pool with the rooms a definite plus. Make sure small kids have floaties as the pool can be deep. Kids will require close supervision as the pool does not have a perimeter fence. With proper precautions, it was a memorable stay.

Very good accommodation, indeed the view is exceptional, you can see magnificent sunsets, the accommodation matches the photos, maybe a little dark and the decoration is special, but the terrace is very nice, and the 2 swimming pools (one cold and one hot) are really amazing! The parks of the arenal volcano are 30 minutes away. You also have access to a pool table, it was a very good experience!

We had a great stay! The apartment is beautiful and with a lot of character. Great views and very private. Would definitely recommend!

La Mansion is an amazing location! We were a group of six and couldn’t be more pleased with our accommodations. The lake view was amazing, they coordinated a horse back ride right from our door, we watched amazing birds and monkeys, had a terrific breakfast each morning and the staff was helpful and so friendly. Can’t wait to come back someday!! Perfect location to explore the area!

Beautiful corner cottage , with view of lake, great place to chill. The place was quiet except for the chirping of birds and couple of big trees on the side of the cottage which was host to lot of beautiful birds. We could use all the facilities of the La Mansion Inn. Airbnb included free breakfast at the inn. Approx 35 min from Arenal volcano, 50 min from La Fortuna where you had everything you need. The town of Neuvo Arenal 15 minutes away also has an ATM, some supermarkets, restaurants etc. . Will definitely recommend.

Wonderful casita that's part of a larger hotel. The warm private pool on the porch was perfect as was the view. The bedrooms were comfortable and beautiful tiles in all the bathrooms. We ate breakfast at the hotel each morning and interacted with the pleasant staff. Very close to the area attractions. Would highly recommend.

The views are amazing! Cute little villas and the perfect place to stay if you are traveling between locations. The staff is very friendly and hospitable.

Wow!! This is one amazing and funky place. The view and pool were so wonderful, we curbed our plans for a day and opted to just chill…so glad we did. The restaurant and hotel staff couldn’t be more sweet, the food is delicious, and the villa is so unique! Everywhere you look something new catches your eye. Added bonus: friendly dogs swing by now and again to say hi :) The AC works very well, WiFi is solid, kitchen is stocked, and parking is simple and convenient. We stayed 5 nights and it was exactly what we were looking for! Can’t wait to come back! Paradise.

You have a wonderful view over Lake Arenal, as well as over the green mountain slopes. Very, very quiet location and nice place with terrace. The pool and hot tub are perfect for sunbathing and enjoying the scenery. The only drawback, which has nothing to do with the accommodation, is that the associated hotel charges prices for food and drinks that are disproportionately expensive. It's all designed for the American tourist who knows these high prices from home.

We had a fantastic stay. Amazing accommodation in a beautiful location and the staff were all lovely. It was great to be able to use all the hotel amenities.

This was our favorite Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in! The pictures do not do it justice, the actual place itself exceeded our expectations. There is so much attention to detail in the decor, and a gorgeous view. There are horses roaming the surrounding area that you can see past the fence of the private garden. Housekeeping everyday was so nice, they even cleaned my friend’s shoes (which they totally did not have to do), but speaks to how above and beyond the staff goes. Caesar the receptionist has incredible energy, is caring and responsive, and helped so much with booking excursions like ATV and Zip-lining. He is also really cool, we all loved him especially because he also lived in Brooklyn where we were coming from!!! The Inn this Airbnb is located offers so many amenities and things to do that they can help you book. We would definitely come back to this exact location. Such a magical experience cultivated by the land and the suite, 11/10 recommend!

Magnificent lake view, beautiful pool, incl. Breakfast on the pool terrace. The casita has mosquito nets and great air conditioners in the kitchen and livingroom. The kitchen has an oven plenty of pans and pots. The staff at the hotel are super friendly, nice and helpful. The casita is cleaned everyday. The bedroom is a little dark, but that doesn't bother you, you're usually only in it for sleeping. Good mattresses, hot water in the shower, what more could you ask for. The unit is well maintained and quiet. From a distance you can hear the howler monkeys in the morning, just wonderful, we felt very comfortable and would love to stay there again at any time. Thank you very much for the wonderful time we were able to enjoy.

This was our SECOND time staying in Peggy’s place and it might now be the last 😉 This is such a lovely, peaceful setting that one day we just “stayed home” and enjoyed a walk down by the lake, the pool, and jacuzzi. Thank you, Peggy (and Cesar!)

Super-friendly staff. Quiet, relaxing. Fireflies and cows for neighbors. Away from the area's tourist noise. Highly recommend the nearby Butterfly Conservancy.

The entire stay was exactly what we needed. Having a restaurant onsite was a huge bonus. The view was stunning. We were a day late checking in because one of my friends planes got delayed. They even offered us to stay an extra night if we wanted to accommodate the loss of missing a day. It was so sweet. Would recommend them 100%!

This villa was a great value find in a very idyllic setting. The private plunge pool was awesome, the staff was great and the onsite restaurant was delicious. It was foggy/rainy when we were there so we didn't use the big infinity pool but it looked lovely. I will note that the king bed is right inside the main door and not a separate bedroom so thats just an fyi for the privacy of the sleeping accommodations (the other two bedrooms were their own rooms). The third twin bed was fairly small and the mattress felt pretty uncomfortable so our 7th guest slept on the large sofa. Otherwise the beds were fine. The kitchen was well stocled though we barely used it. The bathrooms were very pretty with the tile. It's important to remember that this is a very forestry setting as we encountered a very large spider in one of our bathrooms and multiple geckos inside and outside the property. The spider gave us a bit of a scare but we got it outside and it wasnt posionous or anything.

Staff was fantastic. The cabin views exceeded expectations. We had a wonderful time. Water heater stopped working during our stay and they fixed it promptly. Crazy Alan is great to spend a day touring with. Food was very good. Close restaurants Gingerbread and Tortuga were excellent too. Nice central spot to explore.

This Airbnb was very romantic and magical. We stayed for 5 nights. The views from the deck with the private pool were spectacular, and the variety of birds passing by and the horses grazing right out front added to the ambiance. The house was grand with beautiful artwork and wall paintings. As were the wooden accents and arched doorways. It was like an orgasm for the eyes! The provided breakfast was lovely (perfect for vegans), and the kitchen was well equipped. The water pressure out of the rainfall shower was wonderful. We were a party of 4 plus a 20 month old, and our baby loved everything as well, especially the pool. We would highly recommend this bnb if you're looking for a quiet and romantic getaway. If you want to explore the Arenal area, rent a car as there's only 2 restaurants close by and 1 convenience store. The staff were also accomodating and friendly and they provided us with anything we requested. We are grateful to have found this gem!

The view in the complex on the Lago Arenal is fantastic. The pool is very nice. The kindness of employees outstanding. The place is very spacious and well equipped. The food at the restaurant was super delicious. We were completely satisfied.

Peggy's space is in a breathtaking location. We enjoyed the place especially the view and the easy access to the lake. It's quite, peaceful and we decided to spend time in the bungalow itself since it was so good. The restaurant had amazing food. They also an affordable laundry service. Staff was hospitable and courteous to all our requests. Would highly recommend this place and we would like to visit again as well!

This place has the benefits of a private cottage while still being connected to a resort style setting. The master bedroom has one of a kind look and feel and is huge! The other two rooms each have their own bathroom, so the entire place could comfortably host 5-7 guests. If you're like me and you love a dip in a pool that is on the cooler side and don't want to get sunburned (covered patio), you'll especially like the pool on the patio.

The house is amazing. Beautiful, private, incredible views. A couple problems, but the gentleman at the front desk took care of things quickly, and even volunteered a comp’d meal for our trouble. Location is a little far from Fortuna activities, but I’d trade the drive for the beautiful setting. And if you’re just looking to relax, it’s perfect.

Our stay at Mansión Inn Arenal was a great decision. We were a group of 7 and stayed in a 3 bedroom/3 bath cabin with lovely decor, comfortable furnishings, good AC, and a private plunge pool. Nice and relaxing after days of adventure. The kids played in the large property pool. The surroundings were beautiful and the views on Arenal Lake and Volcán Tenorio from our terrace were spectacular. Birds all over the place and the sounds of frogs, other critters, and rain at night made the place feel peaceful and magical. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Had breakfast at the restaurant one morning and it was delicious with fresh Fruit and other choices. Had a pipe burst one night...contacted host and property manager and it was fixed promptly causing minimal disruption. They were kind enough to let us have breakfast on them for the convenience which is greatly appreciated. We hope to come back to this beautiful place our next trip to Arenal. Thank you!

Couldn't have been happier with this booking. we intended to stay a month of our 3 month stay in Costa Rica. the staff were not only helpful and kind, but made us feel like a part of their family. They went above and beyond with requests and helpful info even outside of the 'usual' tourist questions . . . helping us to assimilate during our extended stay! Hats off to Cesar, Jorge, Kiko and Luis! We enjoyed staying here so much that we canceled another booking to stay with them on the last part of our trip!

We really enjoyed the nature and views over lake Arenal. Short drive to local grocery store, German bakery and restaurants. The villa in colonial spanish style is very cosy and comfortable. The villa's pool was refreshing. A bit uncomfortable was to use small cooking pot as a tea cattle.

We had an incredible time. check in is through the hotel and Ceasar was a wonderful help in getting us settled. The restaurant onsite was lovely. The setting is beautiful and serene. All of the people we met were so nice. We did not want to leave and will return soon!!

Nice accommodation with outstanding views and sunsets. Worth it just for the sunset alone!! This is not private house on a private property though. It’s a casita within a small resort. There is a private pool in this casita but the hot tub is shared with the other 10 casitas. We were a bit surprised by this but found it to be completely irrelevant. The property is gorgeous, the restaurant in the resort has incredible food and we loved our stay there. Totally worth it!

This is a little casita on the hotel property. As such, we could enjoy the amenities of the hotel like the infinity pool and hot tub. The casita has ever you need to feel at home. And what a beautiful location! The view from the front porch is like a painting! The hotel and restaurant staff were so friendly. I wanted to stay longer! I will return and recommend to my friends.

Wonderful piece of heaven in Costa Rica.

Peaceful and serene. A piece of paradise. Pictures, while accurate, are not quite enough to describe the beauty of this place. You have to experience it. The drive in either direction is unbelievably picturesque! Don’t hesitate to venture out and try local restaurants, besides the on-site restaurant—there’s two more literally next door and they’re amazing. Hotel staff was incredible —extremely helpful and kind. It just absolute dream to stay here. Can’t wait to return!

We stayed at LaMansion for a month after visiting twice prior. We loved the villa with the kitchen as we were there longer. The restaurant on site is spectacular! The staff, Christopher, Cesar, and George were absolutely delightful! They were thoughtful & helpful and lots of fun. LaMansion has the greatest view on the lake with a beautiful property & it is so peaceful.....! It is close to several restaurants locally as well as their own LeBistro. LaFortuna is only a 45 minute drive. There is so much to doin the area! Don't forget to go to Moya's Place in nearby Nuevo Arenal for Friday night live music & dinner!!

I have travelled extensively for decades and I have NEVER stayed in a better accommodation!!!

We so loved our stay here! The lake view from our place was amazing and was very private and peaceful. Peggy's place is a perfect location to stay at and be central to many of the great things to do in the area. Peggy and her team were amazing, answered any questions we had quickly, and even helped setup a guided trip for us in the area. We especially loved our visit with Gypsy, one of the dogs who lives in the area. She welcomed us with open arms and gave us lots of love and hugs!

An amazing house with a great view of the lake. 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The kitchen was all we needed to cook some good meals. The pools in the house and the hotel were a definite plus. Very friendly staff ! Really recommend

Staying here was one of the best decisions we made for our first trip to Costa Rica. This was a girls trip of five women and we had plenty of room to relax, stretch out and have some privacy. We rented a car and that was a good idea for the area. It was a bit arduous to get to the place from San Jose, flying into Liberia might be a good idea. The fact that the bungalow was on a small resort allowed us to have the best of both worlds; private home but amenities of the restaurant and staff. The place was beautiful. The architecture and design of the bungalow felt as if we were living in a rich hacienda. Its position allowed us a well framed view of the lake and the large windows allowed us perfect views of the surrounding area. Everyday we saw an assortment of birds in the rainforest. We also had visits from the local pets (cats and dogs) on the porch which we enjoyed. A few drinks around the private warm pool got a lot of use especially after a day of horseback riding or hiking. The staff was exceptional; very friendly, helpful and spoke english. They were kind to our broken Spanish. and helped us learn more about the area and culture. After researching many tours and activities we ended up going with the resorts recommendations and we were glad we did. One of the servers Allan has a tour business and we went on a walking tour to the observatory with him. We had a very wonderful time, learning many things about the area as he has lived and worked here his entire life. We also had massages in the bungalow arranged by the resort and they were excellent. The food for breakfast and dinner was top notch and gourmet as advertised. Very fresh and local. We quickly gave up considering cooking anything and ate at the resort or a few other local establishments. We enjoyed out stay immensely and would recommend it to anyone.

His is the most incredible Airbnb ive been. The lake view is priceless. The cabin is incredible luxurious. The attention was awsome too. They are no downsides with this Airbnb. Totally recommended.

This was my second time staying at this inn. The location is unbeatable, and the views are amazing. The cabins are homey and cosy. I'll be back on my next stay as well.

The views are absolutely stunning at this villa. It’s set on beautiful ground directly in front of the lake. Having access to the pool and jacuzzi is perfect. Caesar at reception is so friendly, welcoming and super helpful. Great restaurant on site as well as a great little bar and restaurant next door! A must stay!

Absolutely stunning property!! Gorgeous views from all directions. The pool on our patio facing the mountains and lake at sunset were a highlight of our trip. Several delicious restaurants within walking distance. The home is within an hour to most points of interest. I had been dreaming of this spot before our trip and will continue to dream of it moving forward. Some points to note. The wifi was very weak, so if you need to work remotely, it will be a challenge. Also, the pools are pretty deep so, if you bring a child who hasn’t yet learned to swim, bring some floaties. Absolutely cannot wait to return to this amazing location!!

We had a fantastic time in the villa. It is in a very special location. The photos don’t make it justice. The view from the veranda is absolutely breathtaking. The villa is very well equipped, very comfortable and very pretty. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. The food was great in the local restaurant. We loved every minute of our stay.

The bungalow/apartment is perfect. Stocked with full kitchen and king bed. View out across the lake from the porch or living room. Restaurant on the promises is delicious and relatively cheap. Whole thing was worth twice as much as we paid! Only downside is the wifi was very spotty.

A spectacular place, super friendly staff, clean facilities and you can tell that there is a lot of love on every corner/design of the bungalow, we wanted to stay one more day of how comfortable we felt. The pool and jacuzzi =wow + view❤️. In the kitchen there are the cooking utensils. I recommend bringing paper towel :) Perfect, everything perfect. A super spot!

The place had plenty of space. Kitchen with all we needed. Great view as well. If you do not want to cook, you can go to the restaurant which also has a nice view by the hotel pool. We enjoyed our stay even though it was just one night

This was such an amazing spot! Seriously we could not get over the views, good food at their restaurant on property, and the infinite pool. The staff were so friendly and fun. We also walked down to the lake from a trail right by the property, and it was an unreal view. We hope to be back!!! Highly recommend for solo travelers, couples, families, etc!!

We really liked the location and the amazing view. It was a pleasure to stay there. The house has all the amenities, was super comfy and sparkling clean. A note to future guests: If you need steady wifi connection, request the house with cable internet. They have a couple of houses on cable, the rest are connected to mobile internet which isn't really reliable.

I could not recommend this stay more. We enjoyed our stay so much that we had decided to stay an extra night. We had a wonderful time; the view, property, and bungalow were magnificent! Most beautiful view in the region and I cannot believe how affordable it was.
