This was a wonderful place to stay in Costa Rica! The property was spacious, comfortable, and had plenty of room to relax and enjoy our time. The location was great, with lots of delicious food and restaurants nearby, making it easy to find something to eat without having to travel far. The area was beautiful, peaceful, and convenient for exploring Costa Rica. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!

What an extraordinary house! Even better and bigger in person. WOW!! The house had all of the amenities from beach towels, beach/pool accessories, well equipped kitchen, and the most comfortable beds! And Lisa is such a vibrant, welcoming, friendly host. She went above and beyond to ensure my family and I had all that we needed. Would highly recommend this place. I will definitely book this again… already thinking of plans for the near future.

We were a family of 10 adults and 2 children. The stay was amazing for everyone. The house is beautiful. In person, it's much better than what's shown in the photos, with many amenities for each family member. Simply a paradise for enjoying and resting.

Lisa was an amazing host. Like many have said, the pictures don’t reflect the beauty of the place. There were some pool toys for kids as well. The city is accessible by car. There’s a cute little cafe nearby that can be done walking as well as a playground 1 house down. If you have little ones, make sure to bring pool shoes so they don’t slip on the tile floor of the outdoor outside the pool.

We had a peaceful and relaxing stay our first full day in Costa Rica. Just what we needed. The pool was beautiful! Rooms very nice. Lisa told us about a tree where the macaws hang out in the afternoon so we saw many. It was exciting! Large open kitchen great for family meals and playing dominoes. 😊

This is a great house with a great host. The house is very comfortable, very well equipped, and located close to San Jose, in a very secure neighborhood. The pool is the highlight of the house, honestly. Perfect temperature, has areas with shade if you don’t want to be in the sun, and a nice sun tanning area. The 4 bedrooms are fully equipped, with AC, their own bathroom, and TV. Lisa was always available, super flexible with check in and check out times, and super friendly. We’ll definitely go back!

10/10 recommend! Lisa and her concierge LA made us feel right at home. Very communicative, friendly, and helpful. We would love to book with her again! I was worried about how many bugs we would have to experience but the place is very clean and controlled that we didn’t have any problems even with it being the rainy season! The house is truly beautiful and looks even better in person than in the photos. It is very comfortable and clean. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom which makes it perfect for large groups. The house is located in a gated community, which makes it feel very safe. The surroundings are beautiful and we even saw many red macaws. Lisa was incredibly friendly and very responsive throughout our stay. We loved the house and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!

The house is beautiful! My only complaint is that the bed was not comfortable at all, and the curtains in the room are not blackout curtains. Everything else was perfect! The pool was spectacular.

This private home was amazing! From relaxing in the pool watching the mccaws fly over to enjoying breakfast on the nearby beach with many markets and things to do. We went with 4 kids who enjoyed having their own hotel styled room as the rooms were off the main house which we also loved as we had some friends nearby over for dinner and drinks without worrying about the kids waking. VERY SAFE compound! we highly recommend this home for any type of retreat and or vacation! WE WILL BE BACK!!!

Lisa is the best host. I have been to many Airbnbs and very good ones, but Lisa is a very helpful host with contagious enthusiasm. We loved it. 7 ladies, 66 years old, companions and friends since school days and now somewhat demanding, but Lisa and the house exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back. The ONLY thing the house needs is to put blackout curtains in rooms 3 and 4. It's urgent, you need to rest. Thank you very much Lisa

The beach house is amazing, super large and comfortable for groups or large families, something I really liked is that each room has air and a large bathroom, the house has all the necessary amenities for a quiet and welcoming family stay. Lisa is super friendly and efficient. I highly recommend staying in this spacious house.

My family and I loved this house! Look no further if you are surfers, La Curva is your backyard... perfection. House is big and clean. We had 11 people, and were very comfortable. Every bedroom has its own bathroom. Gated community. Nice pool. Communication was excellent as well. I highly recommend 😎

We had an amazing week at this house. It was a beautiful resort style home with lots of privacy Incredibly clean with every amenity you could ever need. Also check in was a breeze and any questions were answered quickly. I’d highly recommend this host and property.

Great place. As mentioned many times in other reviews, Lisa is a great communicator and extremely nice. The layout is great with very large kitchen/living area main room and individual suites right off the swimming pool area. The swimming pool is very large, nice and clean. The grounds are kept immaculate and very secure and safe for pets to roam the property. Highly recommend.

Our family vacation was extremely pleasant. The house is beautiful, the photos don’t do justice to the incredible house. Each room is private with its own bathroom making it feel very inviting. The huge family room and kitchen has all the amenities you can think of. The pool is remarkable, with its waterfalls and lounging area. Honestly you we felt so comfortable that we didn’t feel the need to leave the house. As for Lisa, wow she is just amazing! Before check in she reached out with all the details, making it really easy for checkin upon our arrival. Her friendly daily check in made us feel very welcome. A beautiful place!

We stayed at Lisa’s house with our adult kids and their partners and can’t say enough about how awesome it was. The house was big enough to accommodate all 7 of us and was even better than advertised. Lisa checked in with us everyday to see if we needed anything and gave us excellent recommendations on places to eat and things to do. She also put us in touch with L.A. who helped us plan all of our excursions and is an absolutely awesome human being. Our stay was perfect and definitely will be making our way back to Costa Rica and staying with Lisa again.

We had one of the best experiences ever during our multi-generational family vacation in Costa Rica, thanks to Lisa's exceptional place. It was exactly as described—and even better—making us feel incredibly fortunate to have discovered this hidden gem. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed to make it our comfortable home for the week, including huge, spacious bedrooms each with their own private bathroom, a luxurious feature that's truly unheard of. Lisa went above and beyond by connecting us with LA, who helped plan and arrange nearly all our activities and transportation. We can't wait to return and hope to do so very soon!

This was a perfect place for our family get-away! We were a group of 12, so the six well-appointed bedrooms and spacious, private baths were great. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to cook in. The location in Playa Hermosa was close enough to Jaco for fun dining and shopping, yet far enough away to feel uncrowded and quiet. We definitely would stay here again and recommend it highly!

Don’t contemplate staying here, just do it. Lisa was the perfect host, always checking in making sure my group of 8 had everything we needed for our entire stay. You can tell she cares a-lot about people in general. The home itself is large, beautiful & serene. The bedrooms are huge and it never felt crowded. The beach is right in the backyard and the small gated community made it feel safe and secure. Ubers are easy to get and Lisa and Teri can also set you up with transportation to get around the area. We went back and forth to town for $6-9 each way. All in all, we loved this stay & if you want a relaxing, exotic vacation this is it!! A 10/10 for sure. Thank you so much again Lisa!!

We had a phenomenal stay at the colonial style hacienda - the place feels soooo comfortable. The attention to detail to the features of the house is extraordinary!! The pool is massive as is the kitchen! We saw so many beautiful birds flying overhead, including a family of Red macaws (Lapa Roja) - it was truly amazing 🤩 Lisa is a wonderful host - very attentive, friendly, thorough and kind - we're super grateful for the experience. Strongly recommend this stay.

Lisa was an excellent host. She provided recommendations when we requested and messaged us every day to check in. The beach outside of the home was perfect for our group of 12 with 6 adults and 6 kids ranging from 2-16. Be mindful of riptides but even the young kids could go where the water met the beach. The house was even better than the pictures. Each bedroom with its own bathroom, offering plenty of privacy. Each bedroom and main space with its own A/C unit too. Outdoor showers were great for rinsing off sand when coming back from the beach. The pool was enjoyed by all! There was a cooler and 4 beach chairs available to use. Provided beach towels were nice so we didn’t have to pack our own towels. If flying into SJO and heading to the west coast for a few days, I highly recommend stopping at a Walmart in San Jose to stock up on snacks, food, drinks, and anything else you know you will need for your stay. It was much cheaper to do it this way. Overall, I highly recommend!

We went on a family outing, 12 people. All women and we had a great time. The house is a very spacious beauty. Each room has its own bathroom and delicious beds. The pool is good size. Lisa was always very attentive to any needs. The house is in front of the beach and the sound of the waves is very relaxing at night. The condominium is very quiet.

Check-in was very easy, and Lisa communicated with us extensively before our arrival. Lisa was the most communicative, helpful, and pleasant host that we have ever encountered. I feel like she is a friend of the family now! The house was spotless. As a neat freak, I can say that this was probably the cleanest house we have ever rented, and we have rented many. The location of the house is perfect, situated about 90 minutes from the San Jose airport. It is tucked away in a quiet area, yet only a 10-15 minute drive from the main city of Jaco, which offers a variety of activities, restaurants, shops, and more. The two king master bedrooms have a beautiful view of the ocean. The ocean is right behind the pool, and you can hear the waves from any room with the windows open or when on the back patio. We used LA to plan many of our excursions, and she was very helpful and knows the area like no other. I highly suggest the Tortuga Island tour through CostaCat and the ATV tour.

This place was great! Loved the privacy of the rooms and the kitchen and living seperate. Pool was great! Quieg neighborhood- right next to a common area for little ones.

We had such a great time! The house was better than our expectations! The house was so beautiful. It was so great to have a pool in the back yard and to be able to walk to the beach. The house was in a small community which was very nice. We hope to be able to return. Lisa was such a wonderful host. I was able to text Lisa before the trip and ask her questions about things to do. Lisa also helped with finding a driver that I could trust to take my daughter to the airport. We loved everything!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lisa's place! Lisa was very communicative, helpful, and friendly before and throughout our stay. The house itself was immaculate and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable, kitchen well-appointed, and bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. The pool was great, and the best part was the proximity to the beach and the scarlet macaws that flew back and forth from the trees in front of the beach to the side of the neighborhood. We are determined to return to Costa Rica, and would not hesitate to book this home again!

Loved our stay at Playa Hermosa! Lisa, the host, is wonderful and hospitable. The house was perfect for our two families--lots of room to spread out, a great pool, and steps away from a fantastic beach! The trip concierge, LA, helped us organize all of our transportation and trips (including horseback riding, beach getaways, boat trips in the jungle, waterfall hikes, and a Costa Rica national soccer game!) to make our trip seamless. Super helpful. Would highly recommend! We hope to stay again!

I stayed here with my wife and two daughters and our friends and their two daughters and it was absolutely perfect. The house is beautiful and the layout was so great for our two families. Lisa was a great host and supplied lots of info and also helped make arrangements for us for both a chef and a day out on a boat. The location was so close to so many great places but secluded just enough to feel very private and comfortable. We had such a great time!

It was a very beautiful home. Communicate was very good. Concierge arranged chef for in home meals which was amazing. Also arranged in home massages. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms. Nice pool, clean. Overall would highly recommend.

Lisa was a great host, friendly, pro-active and always responsive Home is large and easily accommodated our group of 7…the backyard pool is secluded and private with each bedroom opening to pool… we loved the place, particularly with the enclosed backyard area for our three small dogs Kitchen and living room were also quite large, and there is A/C in every room. Hermosa beach is a few miles away but with the nice home and pool, we didn’t feel the need to go for the two nights we stayed

The house was perfect for my group. Big kitchen that was well stocked, with space to eat outside. Definitely glad we got groceries before arrival because the nearest grocery is a bit of a drive away. The pool was great for the afternoon and the beach access was so incredible to have just down the street. There were enough bathrooms and the beds and AC made everyone comfortable. Lisa was always readily available and friendly. I really appreciated the flexibility with early check-in/out, it's very rare for an Airbnb in my experience. Overall I can highly recommend this house.

We absolutely loved this place!!! We went a group of 8 people, and it was the perfect set up! All rooms have ensuites, and are separate from each other. There is a large central pool (warm and inviting) and a big table and bbq area, perfect for hosting large dinners. The main house had a massive kitchen and living area, perfect again for large groups! Lisa was amazing, she checked in and made sure she responded super quickly!

The house is beyond amazing with a great design and attention to detail and everything you could possibly need on your trip is there an easily accessible. Lisa was also very responsive for the few questions that we did have and gave us great recommendations as to restaurants. I will make trips back to Costa Rica just to stay here again!

There was construction near the house which was a little disturbing but nothing more. Ubers were easy to get. We had a problem with the conventional and microwave ovens but Lisa was able to fix the problem quickly. Thank you Lisa, it was a nice stay at your home.

We had a family vacation with our amazing pets, a spacious, clean and very comfortable place. The pool was the best and Lisa was kind, communicated quickly and solved problems quickly.

This was my second time staying at this place. We love it because it’s far enough from the busy town yet close enough to be there within 10 minutes. Love the private beach (my favorite part)! Place is huge! Even with 10 people in the house, it never felt crowded. We stayed for two weeks so it was awesome to have washer and dryer. Lisa is incredibly responsive and checks in daily. There are so many activities to do, however, they can be quite the drive. We were here during the holidays which added traffic time. But they were worth the drive! We found a Temazcal Sweat Lodge down the road….if you’re into wellness and spirituality, this is a must try! Jaco was amazing for New Year’s…fireworks on the beach!! So many great restaurants: Vida Hermosa, Koko’s Gastropub, PuddleFish Brewery has live music, Jaco Bar for cocktails and El Pelícano restaurant in Herradura for a nice dinner. Anywhere you go the food is so fresh and delicious.

We spent 4 amazing nights here over Christmas and had the best time! The house truly feels like a private resort. The pool is incredible—it even has a waterfall! The kitchen was fully equipped, and I was able to cook the best Christmas dinner for my family. Lisa is absolutely the hostess with the mostess! She is incredibly attentive, helpful, and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. She provided excellent recommendations and promptly sent help when we couldn’t figure out how to turn on the waterfall. Thank you, Lisa, for everything you did to make our holiday unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back!

First- the house is beautiful. Secluded enough but close to stores and restaurants. Tons of room- way larger than the photos show. Most importantly- Lisa was the BEST vacation rental host we have ever had. She was so thoughtful and thorough with her communication, gave us incredibly detailed directions for everything, made recommendations for absolutely anything we might need or want locally, and checked in with us everyday. She was truly amazing. She even had the home beautifully and tastefully decorated for the holidays. This was such a great trip and our family is planning another time to come and we want to stay at this home again.

Stayed here for a bachelorette trip and we had the best time! Lisa is super responsive and the place is more beautiful than the pictures show. There was plenty of space and direct access to the beach. The house was super clean and we felt very safe. Would definitely recommend for a big group!

Lisa’s place was amazing beyond expectation. The space comfortably fit 12 people as there were 10 beds and plenty of bathrooms. The AC was functioning great in all rooms and the main space. The kitchen, backyard, and pool had plenty of space and were used frequently! The location within a gate and right on the beach were also very convenient. Lastly, the concierge, L.A. that we were connected with to help book excursions, dinners, and all else was unbelievable. Extremely well communication, understood our goal and the things we wanted to do right away, was fair with all pricing, extremely well prepared, and always super flexible! Couldn’t speak higher of the house, host, and concierge!

Great stay! House is huge with great views in a very private community. We had an extended family of 12 celebrating a few birthdays and the house size was perfect with even two unused beds. Rooms are all very spacious all with their own bathrooms plus a guest half bath. So helpful having the laundry room. Pool is great and you can hear the waves all day. Macaws will wake you up every morning as they feed from the nearby trees, such a treat to see. The black sand beach is beautiful for daily walks but not swimable more for surfing. There is a super sweet cat, Mittens, that provides company and secures the back porch from any critters. Shadow a male cat might show up to eat her leftovers. Miss them! Lisa was wonderful, very friendly and checked in daily. L.A. took care of all of our tours, transportation, restaurant and personal chef recommendations - plus she was so much fun! Overall great stay in Costa Rica and everyone had such a fun time!

The house was absolutely amazing. The main kitchen/living room area was great to congregate in when we wanted group time, as there were eight of us from two families. The four master bedrooms each have ensuite bathrooms and are off the pool so we were also able to have peace/quiet when needed. The pool was a great place to relax and enjoy time together as well. The neighborhood was amazing and secure with a guard at the entrance. The host Lisa was amazing!! She was super responsive for all questions and even arranged for a bedroom air condition to be replaced when it unexpectedly was causing issues. The location of the AirBNB was perfect as it was centrally located for things we wanted to do.

My family and I had a great trip. The house was just as it was described and tons of space…definitely big enough for multiple families. The drive from San Jose was fairly easy and getting around in the area was easy as well. You do have to commute a little ways to some of the beaches but we knew that coming in so no real surprises on our end. Lisa was a great host and was super communicative and helpful! Loved the whole experience…and thank you again for helping us have an awesome trip!

Wow! This home was amazing! We had a party of 10. Everyone loved it. The home is absolutely gorgeous. L.A. was great as well. She set up a little surprise for my husbands 50th. There is so much around to do. We did a few adventures and didn’t have to go far. Location is perfect. We had such an amazing time, we will definitely be back! Lisa and L.A. are both great! We had an amazing family vacation at Lisa's place. The house is actually even bigger and grander than it looks in the photos. We had ample space for a family of 11 and loved having the beach at our doorstep as well as the pool. Lisa gave us recommendations for a chef who came in to cook for us one evening. When one of the wifi's stopped working she immediately got the problem solved and when the ice maker on the fridge stopped working she had bags of ice delivered to us within less than 1/2 hour! And finally, one of our grandchildren left a favourite stuffy behind in his bed and she has arranged to have it shipped to us. Top notch customer service and very friendly interactions with Lisa. Highly recommended. The only down side is that you can't walk to pick up groceries, but Ubers are very reasonable.

This was the best Airbnb experience. We loved it so much that we were all sad to leave. A spectacular black sand beach all to ourselves! Every sunset, we walked to the beach and took the best photos. All the excursions and restaurants were super close and LA made a convenient transportation arrangement for us. Lisa was so friendly and responsive to all our needs. The house was beautiful, loved the Spanish style of the house. The outdoors with the pool was a hit for us, especially kids loved spending time in the pool. Lisa was great, she explained everything before we arrived. She made us aware that if we needed anything that she was available. Highly recommend the house, the location was great as well, close to Jaco beach and near restaurants.

Lisa was beyond helpful from the moment we booked, right through our entire stay!! Very responsive to any need we had, the house is perfect, the views are amazing, and there are only a few suggestions I can make, like cable would have been great for evenings and mid day rests. The refrigerator could be bigger, and the grill could be bigger to accommodate a large group. There were 12 in our group, and the grill is a bit small.

This house was AMAZING! So beautiful and with the most perfect set up. We felt very safe and secure with a gated entry into the area and it was private. The home and the pool were fantastic and the host, Lisa, always went above and beyond to provide detailed information. She was also so friendly and quick to respond for every question we had. I’ve honestly never had such a helpful and communicative host before! We are all so sad to leave our little slice of private paradise. They also have a concierge, LA, who was excellent at offering tours, transportation, and recommendations. She was super quick to respond and set up anything we needed and very friendly too. Stay here you won’t regret it!

Lisa was an amazing host and very informative about the entire Airbnb. She reached out every single day to make sure I was doing OK and if I needed anything. She did a phenomenal job and if I ever return, I will only book with her! Also, the concierge LA did phenomenal job setting up all our activities and showing us around town. She had a great personality and was well-informed with everything that Costa Rica has to offer.

Very nice resort style home. Nice safe and quiet neighborhood. Lisa was very easy to contact and responded right away. LA, the concierge for us was outstanding. Being from the U.S. we were delighted to have our American friend to take us places, make arrangements for our excursions and recommend restaurants. The drivers were excellent. Thank you Lisa, for all the help. We definitely would recommend this house. It’s especially great for couples.

The communication was amazing Lisa made sure we knew everything before hand. The house is beautiful and the location is perfect. Right across from the ocean. I honestly felt like in a small castle. We will be coming back.

If it was possible to give higher than 5* we would give it. Lisa our host answered all our questions starting months before our arrival and right through our stay, checking in with us each day to see how things were going. Lisa recommended a woman called L.A. as a tour arranger and she arranged the best excursions for us - ones that provided the excitement the teens loved. The house was amazing - so suitable for our 6 adults and 4 teenagers - space, bathrooms, netflix, ocean views, pool, short walk to the beach - no swimming because of rip tides but expert surfers there all the time. Private quiet location, gated entry but short drive to Jaco. Would love to return.

Had a great time at our stay here in Costa Rica. The pictures don’t do the place justice. Were put in touch with LA before arrival to help with transportation and excursions. Everything was beautiful. A little off the beaten path but the cost, pool and privacy was worth it! Definitely would stay again.

This house was more than expected. The bedrooms are huge and each has its own bathroom. The house is large, even with 8 people in the house it never felt crowded. Nice and secluded, yet a quick drive into Jaco for everything we needed. Beautiful view of the ocean from the 2 primary bedrooms. Walk to the beach in 3 minutes. Beach is secluded and hardly ever anybody there, which we loved. Lisa was super proactive and responsive. We would stay here again and highly recommend!

The house is beautiful and the house is even bigger than it looks in pictures, we shared 12 people, and we were left over space in the rooms. We spent an incredible time, the pool is also large and have items to enjoy the boys and adults. The location is also perfect for a walk to the beach and has the best location to watch the sunset from the balcony. Lisa was an amazing host, super communicative and always available for any help we might need

Lisa’s place was fabulous. Lots of space with a very private backyard pool. We enjoyed the access to concierge service, and chef services. Communication was fabulous - quick touch bases regularly to see what we needed. I would rent a car or arrange transportation- it’s a bit off the beaten path and we wanted to explore more… Don’t hesitate!!!!
