3BR Villa in Roatán

Juan

Excellent, 3 weeks ago

It's one of the best houses I've ever stayed in. The views were breathtaking – a combination of sea and greenery. Also, the pool is awesome. And the rooms are great – we even loved the outside shower! Just highlight two points: 1) Renting a car is essential, because the location is not close to anything, not even for taking a taxi. 2) Special mention to Cali, who is responsible for taking care of the house and the garden. She is an amazing person who helps a lot with any questions you may have. The truth is that it greatly improves the experience. Overall, we would definitely return to this accommodation.

Great place to stay The property fits perfectly for my family Location is amazing. Very well maintained.

Eagle Ray is fantastic! This property has just about everything that you could ask for in a vacation rental. The team at Roatan Property Management is top notch. They are available, communicative and helpful. They go above and beyond to ensure you have a pleasant stay. Eagle Ray is in a nice and quiet location. While it is walkable to the nearby Kimpton and the Bananarama Dive & Beach Resort, it can be a struggle if traveling with older or out of shape individuals as you have to walk up hill, both ways. My family and I are big fans of Eagle Ray but I can not give it a 5 star rating across the board due to the property having white shades in the bedrooms. Don't get me wrong, they look great but the white shades do very little to keep the light out of the room at 5:30AM once the sun rises. Not ideal for people who are not morning people or for those who might be looking to sleep in.

The view was phenomenal, and the pool was really nice. We love the Lighthouse Estates neighborhood because it's so quiet & the breeze is always amazing. This house is within walking distance of the restaurants & the beach. We loved walking the neighborhood every morning. It's very safe & the neighbors are all so friendly. The house wasn't stocked with as much as we are used to being provided when we stay for a week. We were only given 1 single bar of soap, even though there are 3 bathrooms. The master only had 1 extra roll of toilet paper. When we inquired, housekeeping told us to get some from the other bathrooms. We've stayed in other Airbnb's in Lighthouse Estates & they have always been well stocked for our trip. They did bring us some liquid soap for each bathroom, which was greatly appreciated. We had an issue with the water smelling really bad & informed the property mgt team. The cleanliness of the home wasn't up to our standards, but the outdoor area was great.

Purple Palace was a dream from start to finish! The gardener, Cali, is an absolute gem—always happy to help and even chopped down fresh coconuts for us to enjoy. The home was clean, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated with ornate island art and Afro-Caribbean paintings. There’s a resident dog and cat, which was a treat for us animal lovers. The cat ("Kitty") is so sweet and loved lounging poolside with us, while the dog ("Princesa") is both affectionate and a great little watchdog (scratch her spine for instant leg kicks!). Management was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The property sits atop a steep hill, making it quiet and secluded—perfect if you prefer relaxing in peace after a day of exploring. If you want walkable access to bars or the beach, this may not be ideal, but we personally loved the privacy. This home is truly one-of-a-kind, and we’re so glad we chose it for our week in Roatan.

Beautiful home, beautiful view, great deck areas. Secluded enough for peace and quiet, privacy. Pool was clean and clear, and the property was well maintained. We loved the Sandy Bay Area because it has everything you want but not an overwhelming abundance of people and tourism, it feels authentic. Great dining options from fine to not, quiet beaches, and we found a larger grocery store 5 min down the road that will have almost everything you want. (Shoutout to a new tapas/ pizza place called Plan B Pizza) within walking distance of the house. Great pizza, staff and one of the best espresso martinis I’ve ever had!! If you want the busy busy nightlife for a night, it’s only a 10 min drive to West bay, perfect! 10/10 will return!!

Beautiful house in a great location. We ended up being there during rainy season and watching the rain fall over the ocean and the waves breaking on the reef was peaceful and beautiful. We spent more time at the house than we normally would but we couldn't have picked a better place. That view! There were four adults and we had plenty of space. The outdoor shower was pretty cool and the starlit showers were a bonus. The kitchen was well stocked to cook at home too. We fell in love with the cat that hangs out there. He is super sweet and became our little friend for the week. I don't know his name but we will all miss him. ❤️ All in all, this was the best place we have stayed on Roatan.
