Currency and Travel Tips
- Local businesses accept both US Dollars and Lempiras
- US Dollars must be in pristine condition without rips or tears to be accepted
- Canadian travelers should bring US Dollars, as local banks do not convert Canadian Dollars to Lempiras
- Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond the travel date to avoid issues at immigration or boarding
Energy Conservation
- Turn off air conditioning units when leaving rooms or the house to reduce electricity costs
- Use ceiling fans after the house has cooled to maintain comfort

Our stay at Sandy Feet Retreat was absolutely perfect! The views were spectacular. The house is gorgeous, clean, well stocked with everything we needed and then some and plenty of room for our family of 6! The pool was beautiful and clean, perfect for relaxing after a long day of diving and exploring Roatan! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful home, beautiful view, great deck areas. Secluded enough for peace and quiet, privacy. Pool was clean and clear, and the property was well maintained. We loved the Sandy Bay Area because it has everything you want but not an overwhelming abundance of people and tourism, it feels authentic. Great dining options from fine to not, quiet beaches, and we found a larger grocery store 5 min down the road that will have almost everything you want. (Shoutout to a new tapas/ pizza place called Plan B Pizza) within walking distance of the house. Great pizza, staff and one of the best espresso martinis I’ve ever had!! If you want the busy busy nightlife for a night, it’s only a 10 min drive to West bay, perfect! 10/10 will return!!

The pool is perfect for sunsets! Located centrally for exploration with lots of yummy food around. A bunch of lizards on property as well as yellow naped Amazons and hummingbirds.

Sandy Feet Retreat is nothing short of amazing! The views are spectacular, the house is clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. There was a family of 5 adults and we had plenty of space. Kitchen has everything you need should you decide to cook at home. Beds are comfy, and the room air conditioners cool down the rooms quickly. We never had to use the air in the family room/kitchen area. We opened the windows and doors and turned on the fans and it was plenty cool enough. Highly recommend! We can’t wait to return! Thank you for sharing your slice of paradise with us!
