Vacation Nosara

Was a great stay. Loved the privacy and it was a perfect walk to the beach. Would stay here again!

I have so much to say about this place. First, it made our whole trip. Having this place to call home recalibrated us in the best possible way each day. The 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms gave our family of 5 all the space we needed. Massive sliding doors off the upper master bedroom and the kitchen make you feel fully submerged in the surreal surroundings. The view might be my favourite part of this place, and of the trip. It’s everything you want to feel in Costa Rica, howler monkey sounds included. I loved waking up here at 5 a.m., opening the sliders, and just listening to the unique sounds. Initially, it felt like we were in Jurassic Park! Despite the warnings, it was still hard to comprehend that these monkeys can let out such dinosaur-like calls. In our 6 days here, we had monkeys visit us one afternoon. It was magical.

This is a beautiful home a few blocks from Playa Pelada with all the amenities. There are numerous restaurants in the immediate area, as well as a local surf shop for board rentals. Playa Pelada is gorgeous, and a short walk from Playa Guiones. My only negative critique is that renters pinned Playa Pelada - the actual beach - as the home’s location, so I did think it would be closer to the beach when renting. The house is a few blocks from the beach, and I felt this was not clear from the listing. The roads in Playa Pelada are TERRIBLE - chocked full of potholes and craters - but this is true for much of Costa Rica so I suppose it goes with the territory! The home is lovely and we enjoyed our stay.

Lovely place! The garden in particular was very special, right between the trees and the beautiful swimming pool. In the morning, we were awakened by a concert from the birds and/or the monkeys. You have to take that into account, but we thought that - despite it being early - was very special! Comfortable beds and everything you need is available. Within driving distance, there are many nice, delicious restaurants, and the beach is within walking distance (5-10 min).

Our boys and I just returned to Costa Rica, and this stay exceeded every expectation. We loved every minute of it. The recommendations for restaurants, beaches, and excursions were spot on and helped us experience the area like locals. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked, which made it easy to enjoy breakfasts and several family meals at the house between adventures. What truly set this stay apart was the outstanding property management. Communication was prompt, welcoming, and incredibly helpful from the moment we booked until we checked out. They provided great transportation guidance, helped coordinate experiences, and were always quick to respond to any questions. We felt safe, well cared for, and confident knowing someone was just a message away. Traveling with a 16-year-old and a 10-year-old, it’s not always easy to find a place that works well for everyone, but this home was perfect for our family. We made unforgettable memories here and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again

Usually the pictures look better than the real place. In this case the real place was better than the pics! We had such a great time. The pool was great go kids, the walk to the beach was unbeatable, hosts were responsive. I want to come back!

Casa Calma villa is fantastic. Perfectly private, big luxurious and excellently equipped. ( every kitchen utensil possible & more towels etc than a whole family can use) The very good Restaurant La Luna is easily walkable as is a great sunset beach and a few shops. The wonderful Guiones Beach (shade surf safe swimming white sand) is just a 5 min drive as are the best range of shops & bars.

great place. looked just like the photos. we visited with two boys, 14 and 11. we could not keep them out of the pool!! they loved it. plenty of outside seating under the trees to relax. even had the privilege of waking up one morning to the howler monkey's. the home was very private. plenty of parking. large amount of kitchen utensils and a blender & coffee maker that worked perfect. short walk to the beach, however we drove as we had a somewhat heavy cooler. loved how there is plenty of parking at the beach. never had an issue. May visit, the town was a very short drive, not a bad walk if you wanted to do it. plenty of restaurants to choose from. boys fell in love with Burrito Amor. Bodhi tree is right next to the house. they have a gym, yoga smoothie bar etc.. if working out is also on your list. the host is AMAZING with their response time when i had a question. one minor issue when we first arrived, they had someone over within 15 minutes who fixed it! EXCELLENT. We will be back!

Awesome little place. We loved our stay there. It’s in a nice spot that’s quiet but you can still get around easy. Quick walk to the river or beach. The place is really private. The plunge pool is in a good spot where it gets sunlight. You will want some type of transportation (quad etc.) if you want to get to more places. We did walk from the place all the way to guiones and it’s not a bad walk if you go down the beach. We would def stay there again.
