We had a 5+ star experience at Casa Capuchin! It was as beautiful as all the pictures described! The daily housekeeping and laundry service were wonderful. We saw so much wildlife right from the deck, from squirrel and capuchin monkeys, a sloth, toucans, and a beautiful pair of macaws! Honestly, we could not have asked for more from this home and the host, Alexander! Alexander booked so many things for us, including our transportation, some dinner reservations and excursions, and everything was spot on! The ziplining and cooking class experience he recommended were some of our favorite activities. Thank you so much, Alexander and Casa Capuchin! We had a magical week!

Wow! This place exceeded all expectations! I have stayed in airbnbs across the US and Europe and this was the best. The home itself was gorgeous (kitchen was FULLY stocked), but the service was over the top! Daily cleaning (including laundry) was such a gift. We had a chef one night and it was delicious! Alex was always one message away to help with ANYTHING we needed....he scheduled excursions, arranged transportation, ordered our groceries for us, and answered any questions we had. He was so incredibly kind and helpful! The view, monkeys, and macaws made this place even better! Our family of nine will remember this vacation for a life-time!

Everything was absolutely wonderful with our stay. Alexander was a very attentive host, meeting us upon arrival to show us around the house and providing great restaurant and beach recommendations. The house is exactly as pictured. Very relaxing, plenty of room, comfortable beds. There is a pair of Macaws nesting right outside the house that were so fun to watch. The daily housekeeping and laundry service was a welcome surprise. The only people I would recommend not stay here are those with toddlers only because pool is connected to the living room. Amazing stay… we would definitely stay here again.

We had an incredible stay at Alexander’s place. The home was exactly what we were hoping for—clean, spacious, and beautifully designed with an open-air layout that really lets you experience the surroundings. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay for all six of us. What truly made this place special was the setting. We saw a pair of scarlet macaws right near the pool, and capuchin monkeys regularly came through—it felt like staying in the middle of nature in the best possible way. My (grown) kids absolutely loved it. Alexander was an outstanding host—very responsive and incredibly helpful with recommendations for local tours, activities, and getting around. His insight made the trip smoother and more enjoyable. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Wow! Beautiful property. Exactly as pictured. My family of eight enjoyed the home immensely. Property is a short walk to restaurants and shopping. Home is in an exclusive neighborhood. The most memorable experience of staying at this property was the wildlife. We had white faced monkeys visit daily at the pool and several entered the home as the main level is open to the outside. They were wonderful to watch. There were red/blue macaws visting daily near the pool. Saw and heard the macaws flying daily. Had a milk frog on the kitchen window. The daily maid service was awesome and included daily laundry service. We also had three delicious chef prepared meals in the home. Two Costa Rican breakfasts and one red snapper/steak dinner. The fruit and food was so fresh and delicious. Can't say enough good things about Alex, the host. Alex arranged all our transportation and excursions/tours. He was very responsive and saved the day when the battery in the safe died. Want to stay here again!

Alex was a great host always available for any questions we had. Also very helpful with local suggestions for food and activities. The place was really nice always well cleaned every day.

House was very spacious and well laid out. Kitchen had everything you could want. Super clean with maid service almost every day. Pool was amazing. Howler monkeys would be in the trees above the pool almost every morning (sometimes early wake up call at 5am, but a cool experience). Saw acoutis from the deck area as well. A/C worked perfectly. Very convenient to Manuel Antonio and Quepos.

Our family loved our stay at Casa Capuchin! The place was centrally located, very clean and we always felt safe. Most important, were the views and all the wildlife. Just sitting in the pool we saw sloths, capuchins, howlers, squirrel monkeys, toucans, macaws and more! We even had squirrel monkeys come right up to us in the living room! Two things to note so people know what to expect. First, the entire first floor (kitchen, dining, living, and pool) is open to the outside. The bedrooms are all enclosed and have good A/C, but the living areas are open to the outside. Second, the bedrooms are a bit spread out. Two upstairs, one below the living floor and one that you access from outside. Our kids (13 and 10) were old enough for this to work, but just want to flag for families with young kids. Overall the stay was fantastic! Alexander was very helpful booking activities and always responsive. We would definitely come back!

Most beautiful Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at. Couldn’t recommend it enough— cleanliness, location, communication from Alex, and most of all the experience being in the jungle!!! We got to see 2 types of monkeys ON our porch, toucans, kinkajous, sloths, macaws, lizards… it was like staying in our own personal safari! We went to Manuel Antonio park and it was stunning— the landscape, plants, animals and beaches were awesome, but we saw more at our place ;) We truly loved the perk of having a cleaning crew come daily. Sandra is a beautiful personable soul and we really connected with her. Everyone we interacted with at the property was super genuine and I can’t express enough how important that is when staying somewhere!! Thank you Alex for being an incredible & knowledgeable host, we appreciate you so very much! My friends and I will dream about this place forever!

The place was so beautiful. Awesome views of the ocean and jungle. Alex was extremely hospitable and helpful with everything from transport to local tour recommendations. The walk to town and the beach was a little rough for those not in great shape but was doable and if not, a shuttle was readily available for only $25. The Airbnb was in great shape, very clean, and had everything we needed. Would recommend for sure.

We had an amazing stay in Manuel Antonio. Casa capuchin definitely lives up to its name as we had monkey visitors everyday. I could honestly watch them all day. The house was clean and exactly as described. Alex was fantastic from the moment he greeted us upon arrival. He was extremely responsive and helped set up any transportation and requests that we needed. We had a chef come for dinner and the food was delicious. Daily cleaning and laundry was an added plus. I wholeheartedly recommend a stay at casa capuchin and can’t wait to come back!!

Staying at Alex’s place wasn’t just a vacation — it was a full-on experience. From the moment we walked in, it felt like we were living the lifestyle of the rich and famous: jaw-dropping ocean views, daily visits from playful Capuchin monkeys, and even maid service that made everything effortless. The home itself is gorgeous — spacious, comfortable, and designed to let you soak in the beauty of Costa Rica at every turn. The location is perfect too, just a short, easy walk to great restaurants and shops (though honestly, it was hard to ever want to leave the house!). We did have an issue with the master bedroom AC during our stay, but Alex handled it with total professionalism, fairness, and genuine care. His responsiveness made all the difference. Bottom line: this place is so much more than just a great home base — it’s an experience you’ll remember forever. Can’t recommend it enough!

Our second stay at Casa Capuchin did not disappoint! The home is spotless with gorgeous views of the pacific, great outdoor space for lounging and pool time and nice cold AC for sleeping. We enjoyed daily wildlife visits including 3 species of monkeys, toucans, Macaws and a kinkajou. Location is great for waking to some restaurants and is close to all sorts of adventure activities. Thank you Alex again for being a great host - super responsive and flexible to make sure we had a great stay.

Our stay at Casa Capuchin was blissful. The house was spotless. Having everything cleaned daily, including clothes and dishes went above and beyond our expectations. The views were breathtaking at every turn. We were close enough to everything to walk to some restaurants and stores, but the house itself felt like its own little world in the treetops. We had toucans, macaws, capuchins, squirrel monkeys and various other impressive birds visit our trees. We heard the howlers every day and finally found them at Playa Biesanz. I felt relaxed from the moment I set foot in the door and thoroughly enjoyed every day.

The house and the pool exceeded our expectations. Alexander was great! He was quick to respond to any questions or requests we had. We very much enjoyed our stay at Casa Carpe Diem!

Casa Cristal was a beautiful home for us to stay in while visiting Costa Rica! Rosa kept the place looking pristine every day and Alexander was SO very helpful with suggestions, getting us where we wanted to go and answering all questions with a quick and thorough response. My trip was a multi generational family trip of 9. We loved the main villa and pool area. We loved seeing monkeys, toucans and other habitat from the deck area. We walked and bused around the area. My 4 and 7 year old grandchildren did not want to leave. We hired a chef for 2 dinners and enjoyed that. My only disappointment was that the 2 apartment areas were dated and not nearly the quality of the main vila. It was uncomfortable for me to put 2 of my adult children in those spaces that felt inferior. Alex, the housekeeper, pool boy were all amazing. Thank you for your kindness. My party of 12 stayed at Casa Cristal for 4 nights and had an absolutely lovely time. The house is beautiful and has amazing views of the Pacific ocean and Espadilla South Beach. There was plenty of space for all 12 of us and we spent a lot of time on the upstairs grill patio and at the pool. We also had Glenda come cook for us 2 of the nights and it was great food both times. Alex was very timely in his communications and helpful during our stay. Would highly recommend Casa Cristal. Casa Cristal was incredible! It was totally private, there was lots of wildlife surrounding the property, and it had plenty of space for all of us. We traveled as a family of 6 and could spread out the teenagers or play in the pool all together. The maid service was the best I've ever had on a trip. She even helped when a kid got sick! The chef made us a delightful dinner, and the location allowed us privacy with grocery stores and restaurants a short drive away. Would definitely recommend!!!

Casa Capuchin exceeded all expectations for our family trip. There were 8 of us that traveled to CR from 3 different states. Alexander was a wealth of knowledge for us before we arrived, greeted us when we arrived after dark, made excellent recommendations, and was exceptionally responsive to any question that we might have. The home was absolutely gorgeous. We utilized Alexander's access to chefs, and we all agreed, it was the best money we spent on treating ourselves. Beautiful breakfasts started our days out perfectly and allowed us the mornings to sit and take in the breathtaking views and visiting wildlife: monkey, macaw, an anteater & sloth! This home was pristine when we arrived, and daily maid service kept it perfect. One of my favorite touches was the daily laundry service. Don't overpack...CR is the place to not worry about what to wear...just explore the beauty & the opportunities to do something different.

This house is spectacular… the view is better than the pictures. We had three families with six total kids and there was more than enough space. There is a grocery store nearby and plenty of restaurants. We also had a chef come to the house one night and cook one of the best meals of our stay. There are a ton of local activities and the beach is within walking distance. We highly recommended this house!

Great stay and host was very responsive. Our only issue was a request we made for a chef to come in to make a dinner. We requested gluten free because of a medical condition for one in our group and were assured the meal would exclude gluten. It ended up containing gluten and that person in our group had an extremely negative response for the rest of the evening to the dinner.

This was such an incredible place to stay. The location was perfect. Easy access to a beautiful beach. We saw lots of wildlife from the Airbnb and also on our way to the beach. Alexander was the perfect host. He was very helpful and if we had any questions or problems, he answered and fixed them immediately. Our housekeeper and maintenance help was also fantastic. We would definitely come back and I have already recommended this place to friends.

We were a group of 12 looking for a clean place to stay near the beach. We came across this Airbnb and it exceeded expectations. It looked just like the pictures, if not better. The beach was a t minute walk down a hill. The beach felt like it was private, as only a few other people were there each day. The home's infinite pool overlooked the jungle and ocean right in front of us. Above the pool was a beautiful deck with a bar, table, and grill. We spent many of our afternoons playing cards or each lunch up there while enjoying the view. We say monkeys and other wildlife every day on our walk down. It was a perfect mix of beach and jungle, while still feeling very clean and protected while at home. This home made our trip. At times, we didn't even want to leave the home because it was that great. I would highly recommend booking here!

The views were absolutely stunning. The house keeping was essential. Everything was cleaned daily. We got the chef for 4 meals and the food was incredible. The best beach close to the house was Playitas beach at Arenas Del Mar. Some restaurants we loved were Mirador which we had a lovely dinner at there restaurant. Le Papillon was another lovely restaurant within walking distance. Agua Azul was great for lunch or dinner. Honestly the house, the views, the host, the house keeper and the chefs were the absolute highlights of the entire trip!!

Gorgeous space with lots of communal space and privacy in the rooms. The jungle is in your backyard. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Alexander was helpful and friendly. The house is beautiful and centrally located. The pool is wonderful, we had a band of monkeys visit us on the porch, it feels safe and we can walk to good restaurants and it’s a short drive to beaches. We would love to come back.

The view from the balcony and pool (and really all the rooms) was just the cherry on top at Casa Cristal! The house is gorgeous, incredibly clean and has everything you need. And if you are missing anything, Alex will be sure you get it. He was quick to reply and assisted us with anything and everything we asked. If you book tours, they will even pick you up right at the front door! Coming back from an all-day adventure to a clean house, inside and out, was a treat I wasn’t expecting. The beach is a short walk down hill and if you don’t want to make the hike back up, down the beach a short distance you can grab a taxi. I could go on and on, if you have the chance to visit this beautiful place I highly recommend staying here. With 10 people, a house just made the most sense and I could not have been more pleased with our choice. Big thanks to Alex and everyone else that helped to make this trip that much sweeter!

What a fantastic place, even better than the pictures. We felt completely connected to the outdoors, and thoroughly enjoyed the pool. We saw more animals from the pool area than we saw in the park tour! Morning squirrel monkeys, a couple of toucans, and the highlight was a sloth lingering in the tree all afternoon … None of us wanted to leave. All agreed one of the best family vacations we have had, yes in large part due to amazing Manuel Antonio, but equally due to this place. Alex was super responsive and helpful. We really appreciate the early checkin he provided us. The entire staff was terrific.

The house was beautiful and the host was very responsive. As others have said you see so much wildlife just being by the pool. The house is cleaned daily and was very neat. The downstairs apartment feels a bit outdated though and could use some fixing. Otherwise everything else was fantastic!

Alexander was a great host. He was at the house when we arrived and explained how everything worked. His local contacts were invaluable for us first-timers to Quepos and Manuel Antonio, enabling us to have in-house chefs, taxis and excursions at short notice. Some quick notes: Gated and locked compound, with place to park inside.. Very well equipped kitchen. Open floor plan including kitchen, dinette and living room. Floor to ceiling windows facing north, with views of the Bustamante volcano - my morning coffee favorite! Outstanding verandah, swimming pool and pool deck. Ample furniture. Capuchin monkeys visit the area daily, very cute behaviors. Numerous birds including long-tailed parrots. Ten minute taxi rides to the beaches, catamarans and M.A. State Park. Easy walk to grocery store and restaurants. Daily maid service including cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms, making the beds, sweeping throughout, and doing guest laundry upon request.

Carpe Diem was a great place for us to stay in the Manuel Antonio area. We had 2 families and fit comfortably in the home, and the kids played in the beautiful pool nonstop! The pool area is private and has a beautiful view. We loved being able to walk to markets and restaurants. Several beaches are a short drive, as well as the National Park.

Casa Capuchin exceeded all our expectations for our first time visit to Costa RIca. Alex met us at the house when we arrived and walked us through any questions about what to expect during our stay. He also informed us at that time that he would be available for questions 24/7, which he was! The amount of wildlife we were able to see during our stay up close and personal was out of this world! Do yourself a favor and skip the National Park because the views and interactions of animals at Casa Capuchin are far better! We had a family of 7, all over the age of 18 and this was a perfect setup of bedrooms and space. The pool was perfect for evening swims and helped to cool us off during the day. We used taxis for dinners in the evening, but the market and other shops/restaurants are within walking distance. I would 10/10 recommend this place if you are planning a visit to Costa Rica.

Casa Capuchin was a wonderful place to stay for our family. The highlight of our time was being able to see wildlife up close and personal. Make sure to bring your binoculars when you come. We really enjoyed the open air concept for the living and kitchen rooms, but at times, especially with the early morning sun, it was hot. It wasn't anything that we couldn't handle though. One of our family members was unable to walk to the top of the street because of the steepness of the street, but we were always able to call a taxi for help. That was an "us" problem, not a Casa Capuchin problem. We didn't want to leave - we felt like we were in paradise!

The Casa Cristal was amazing! Just like the pictures. It had everything we needed. Alexander was prompt in meeting us and helped us out with everything--from where to eat to where to have fun! I just can't say enough about this place. I would definitely like to return--like next summer! The whole place was clean and roomy. We loved the pool and used it a lot. My favorite thing about the Casa Cristal was the maid service. It was great! Rosie came every day and did an amazing job. This is the first place where I did not have to ask for cleaning. She did a great job! Most of the time we didn't even know she was there except that things were so clean. We loved being within walking distance to the beach and even saw wildlife. There was a sloth crossing the road down to the beach and one morning we were greeted by a white face monkey on the balcony. We had 3 generations of family on the trip and each of us had a blast. This is definitely the place to stay!

Alex was great and easy to work with. The place is killer. We saw more wildlife off the back property than in the national park. Was a great house and Alex was great. Would love to come back soon

This was an amazing airbnb and felt very luxurious. It is a 5 minute drive from the beach, and there were amazing views all throughout the house. The kitchen was great and we actually cooked twice during our stay and used the grill. The bedrooms were very big and each room has its own bathroom. The pool was also awesome. While there, we also saw a family of monkeys pass by, a toucan, a sloth, and two hawks. It feels like this house was integrated with preserving nature and not disrupting the ecosystem, which was nice.

If you are looking for wildlife and a peaceful setting in nature, this is your spot! This house is beautifully furnished and decorated and feels like home away from home. The housekeeper came daily and kept the home tidy. She even did our laundry! We had daily visits from iguanas, monkeys (howler, squirrel, and capuchin), macaws, and even had a sloth in the tree above the pool! We saw more wildlife at this house than we saw on our trip through the mangroves and our tour of Manuel Antonio National Park. It's a very private house, yet there are many restaurants and activities within walking distance. We highly recommend Vista Verde Restaurant. The food was amazing and reasonably priced. All in all, we were very pleased with Casa Carpe Diem. Beautiful home in the most beautiful country.

The Airbnb was great. Our favorite part was the private outdoor pool. There was also a lot of wildlife visits in the backyard. We saw toucans and got to feed squirrel monkeys from our hand!! There was a washing machine, dishwasher, and even maid service which was included with the Airbnb cost, so we were at ease. The downstairs suite in the home wasn’t great, but we didn’t mind since the upstairs portion had enough space for six people.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Capuchin and it far exceeded our expectations. It felt like we were staying in a nature preserve with daily visits from the monkeys, multiple sloth and toucan sightings. Staying at this house definitely made our trip. Alexander was very helpful right from the beginning, thru activity planning/booking and during our stay. Having Jessi take care of cleaning and laundry was such a treat enabling us to relax and enjoy. One word of caution that made us nervous at times with our 7 and 10 yr olds was the pool area felt a little less secure with minimal railings. I would just ask for some details here if you have younger children. Also the 4th bedroom had separate access like an inlaw unit so would suggest only for adults or older teens. They did provide a blow up bed for 3rd bedroom so all 5 kids could sleep there. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, the views were amazing with really great people. We highly recommend!

We had an absolutely amazing trip, and Casa Capuchin was the center of it all! The house and the host (Alexander) were both better than advertised. Alexander was very responsive and was able to get us booked on some fun excursions, even on last minute requests. Communication was great. The house is unreal. We saw so much wildlife just sitting by the pool and enjoying the view. Capuchin monkeys, squirrel monkeys, howler monkeys, Toucans, Macaws, and even a sloth! The house is centrally located and you can easily walk to a number of restaurants and markets. Do yourself a favor and stay at Casa Capuchin!

We love animals and this was the main reason we selected Casa Capuchin. We were NOT disappointed. We had monkeys visit every single day, as well as saw macaws, toucans and other birds daily. Simply magical. We had squirrel monkeys play wrestling with each other in the open air living room! The house was exactly as described in the listing. The only recommendations we have would be to add a recycling option at the house, upgrade Wi-Fi coverage, and provide a lightning cable adapter (or Bluetooth) for the stereo headphone jack used for music. These are minor though; we had experiences in this house that will last a lifetime for kids and adults alike.

We were extremely pleased with the accommodations, views, daily sighting of wildlife, and sounds of the pacific waves crashing. Alexander was extremely helpful with all our activities, restaurant suggestions and getting us to and from the airport. I wasn’t aware that we would have laundry and cleaning service provided, we were certainly spoiled and definitely plan to return!

Casa Capuchin is even more beautiful in person. The home is pristine and is cleaned perfectly daily. The ocean views are gorgeous. Monkeys and Macaws visited the pool area daily which was very fun and exciting. We also saw toucans. The pool was great to cool off in. We can't wait to come back.

Alexander is an excellent host. The house is beautiful and clean. We loved spending time outside on the property-- swimming in the beautiful pool, eating at the nice outdoor table, lounging in the hammock, and watching the wildlife. With our young kids, it was quick and easy to take our rental car to nearby restaurants and markets and visit the beach (the hills would be a big walk with little ones).

Casa Carpe Diem is a dream location with a spectacular layout. We instantly felt at home in a luxury setting. With daily maid service, this was the perfect location for our extended family of eight, especially considering the sparkling clean lap pool. Highly recommended.

We had a beautiful time here with our two toddlers. The staff was so great and the location was perfect for seeing the wildlife and still being close to stores. Alexander provided suggestions for food and provisions and was very responsive in helping with needs and suggestions.

Alexander has a very nice, clean, very comfortable house with a good internet connection. Communication with Alexander was super good and everything was very clear. We want to come back for sure!!

House had a spectacular view, we actually saw monkeys and peacons from the back patio. Location was excellent as we were close to everything Quepos, Manuel Antonio Park, Mountain top park. Most restaurants were at walking distance. Neighborhood is clean, quiet and safe. Taxi and public transportation easily accessible. Alex was really 24/7 available. Very accommodating, resourceful and helpful. The maintenance guy and maid came every day but Sunday. Any concern was immediately addressed. Obviously, we only had 2 minors issues that Alex took care of right away. Great vacation spot.

What an incredible place! Our group of 6 loved: the clean and comfortable rooms; the beautiful view; the visits from monkeys, toucans, and macaws; the pool; the sheltered outdoor space; the well-equipped kitchen; and walkability to a supermarket and restaurants.

Casa Carpe Diem is a rare find. Big, outfitted house, amazing, giant pool, and lovely view, all for a great value. We got very lucky with wildlife too — Coati, Squirrel monkeys, Howler monkeys, Tucans, Scarlett Macaws, Mott Motts and more, all from the comfort of the pool. Staff was responsive and accommodating. Can’t recommend enough!

We had a wonderful time staying at Casa Capuchin! It was everything you have read about it. The home was gorgeous. The views were amazing. The monkeys were plentiful and Alexander was very helpful!! Love our stay!!!

Great place in Manuel Antonio - the house was as described. We wish there would have been a few more chairs in the living room - but we were mostly out enjoying the beautiful pool and beaches of Manuel Antonio.

Casa Capuchin is a dream! Alexander was attentive and available for us at any hour. He helped us coordinate transportation and home-cooked meals. He ensured the fridge and bar were stocked, and even greeted us the night we arrived. The house and views were beautiful but really it was the hospitality we received from everyone around that made it extra special. We would 100% book again.

Our family of 6 LOVED this place. The pictures are very accurate. House was cleaned daily and pool kept in perfect swimming condition. We had a visit from a big iguana hanging around front of home that went off into the jungle the house is nestled in as well as Cadpuchin monkeys visit on our last day! Wow what an amazing experience. Alex is more than a host he provides the best concierge service you could imagine. I booked everything through him transport from and to the airport, atv tour, in home chef dinner and he even got at home Covid testing done before our flight back home. House is very close to beaches and tons of excellent restaurants. Lastly I’ll say the place was very secure and all appliances, sinks, shower ect. worked great. Highly recommend Casa Carpe Diem

The pictures are just how the house is! Very spacious and comfortable! 3 bedrooms on the top floor and a studio in the bottom floor. Great wifi, nice SmartTV, and well equipped kitchen. From the back deck/pool, we say tucans, macaos, and monkeys daily! I would recommend this house for large groups or large families. Alexander was very attentive and available at all times.

Incredible stay in Manuel Antonio. Extremely walkable to various restaurants and grocery store, sparkling clean, great pool, and a short drive to the beach. Excellent communication for check-in and check-out. Would definitely stay here again!
