Thanks for your review Winni, we’re so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with us! I was surprised to hear you didn’t enjoy the dinning table outside, we haven’t had any guests before say they had issues with the nature we’re surrounded by while eating. The ceiling fans above the table are also a great way to keep any mosquitos away if they’re bothering you. Yes our road requires 4 wheel drive as stated in our listing. Our property is very private, and to achieve this we had to make a long road to access it. The road itself is very safe as we drive it everyday without any issues. We are in a developing country and located in the mountains, roads like this are very normal for Costa Rica. I’m glad you rented a 4 wheel drive car so you didn’t have any problems with it. I'm so glad you all had a great stay with us Joop! I am surprised to see you only left us 4 stars, so I'd like to address the things to mentioned. We do have some house rules, all of which are there to keep or place safe, secure, and in good shape so everyone who stays with us can enjoy a great vacation. We ask that everyone dry off after being in the pool before they go upstairs to the fitness/yoga space. This is for 2 reasons, we have very beautifully finished hardwood floors in this space, and pool water can very quickly damage and ruin this floor. Also, if children are running around playing in this gym space and they are wet from the pool they could slip and fall and possibly hurt themselves. We provide a long dry line and multiple portable drying racks that can easily be moved into the sun so your items can dry quicker. If you don't put these racks in the direct sun or it is very cloudy then of course it will take longer to dry your things. The private chefs kitchen was not booked in advance, and is available for use at an additional cost, which is very clearly stated in our listing. This is a separate space from the fully equipped kitchens in each villas. I'm sorry you overlooked this in our listing, and that it caused you some frustration, but we were happy to let you use it during the duration of your stay. I did gave you a free extra cleaning of one of the villas because some of your group choose to stay an extra couple of nights, this was a $70 value, just as a thank you for staying with us. We always do our best to give all of our guests privacy and not be seen or interfere with them during their stay. You cannot see us or our house from the villas, the pool, or while in the gym. Our house is about 100 meters away from the closest area our guests have access too. You all did have a lot of requests from us during your stay, which we are always happy to accommodate, but this means I have to bring the items you're requesting to you. Almost every time I brought something to you, someone in your group would start talking to me, and of course I didn't want to be rude and walk away, so I would engage in conversation until I could walk away. Maybe this is why you felt you had a little less privacy at times. I am sorry for this.
