We had such a great stay at Miki s place! The house was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our time there and honestly felt right at home. Miki was a wonderful host. She was very kind, helpful, responsive, and flexible throughout our stay. We really appreciated how accommodating she was, especially when she let us stay a little longer. Our second stay with Miki was even more special than the first. This time we traveled as three families with babies and young children, and Miki truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. From helping us arrange a wonderful cook, coordinating grocery shopping, and organizing airport transportation, she made the entire experience effortless and enjoyable for everyone. Her attention to detail and willingness to help with anything we needed made a huge difference. The house is beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly set up for groups and families. Mikki was an incredible host, and her sons were extremely helpful in terms of trying to find the best Surf in the area, not gatekeeping spots and being extremely friendly in the lineup. Even though the waves were slightly smaller than we had originally projected them to be, we had a better time than we could have imagined! We had a great stay. The studio is a very short walk from the beach, so the location was perfect. Everything was very clean, neat and exactly as shown in the pictures. The kitchen is equipped with the necessities, which made the experience even more convenient. The place is cozy and well maintained, an excellent choice for spending days relaxing near the beach. Miki, the host, was always very attentive to any questions and was very kind, which made us feel very welcome. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it if you are looking for a pleasant stay.

After traveling around Nicaragua, arriving at Miki's felt like coming home. The casita is cozy, beautiful, and peaceful, surrounded by nature. Miki is a wonderful host who made sure we had everything we needed and was always happy to help. The location is perfect, just a 2-minute walk from the main Colorado surf break! She was very nice and helpful on many fronts including helping to arrange airport transport, local car rental, various directions and local tips and her son provided some advice about where to surf. The house itself is very nice, just as described/pictured, with good amenities to cook at home and good AC. Had a great stay here!

Everything was great. Community is very safe. Miki provided us with advice and whatever we needed while there. Perfect for a wave focused, very comfortable surf trip. Waves are a short 2-3 minute walk as described. New highway makes getting around very easy. Restaurants inside the community are excellent. Pool was wonderful after a surf and with the heat. AC worked well and cooled down fast. Only problem was we didn’t book it for longer. Thank you for everything!

We spent 3 nights at Miki's. From the moment we booked, Miki was extremely helpful and gave us all the information we needed for check-in. She also arranged our transfer from Managua Airport. The apartment was as described in the listing, very clean and very functional. It is also conveniently located in the Hacienda Iguana complex, just 30 seconds from the beautiful Playa Colorado spot. The studio looks like in the pictures and the cleaning was neat. We liked it a lot because it’s only 2 minutes walk from the beach, you have access to a pool and Mikki was very helpful and friendly. On top of that you can feel that the place was well set up and nicely decorated for guests. Iguana is a beautiful beach, I absolutely recommend this place!

This is a beautiful well laid out house. It has a private pool which it was a plus during the afternoon heat. It’s in a great location, 2 blocks away from the beach. It is also close to the Iguana Beach Club. The 3 rooms have private ACs and also the living room. During my stay, there were 3 scheduled blackouts in the area. The house had a generator so it was a minimal impact on the guest experience. Overall I would highly recommend this house.

The guest house was everything we wanted! Miki was a truly amazing host—so helpful with rides, motorcycles, and recommendations; she was on top of everything. This place was great and a perfect spot to relax. We would happily come back again!

We’ve stayed at Hacienda Iguana several times, but this was our first time at Miki’s place—and it really stands out. Miki and her sons have a beautiful home just steps from the beach, in one of the best spots in Hacienda Iguana. It’s close to Pili’s Kitchen, and the surf break, making everything easy and accessible. The house is incredibly comfortable and perfect for relaxing after a day in the sun. We especially loved the sunset atmosphere nearby—it’s a great place to unwind and take it all in. Thank you to Miki and her family for a wonderful stay. We’d happily recommend this home to anyone and would love to come back.

This was our family spring break trip and our oldest son's 16th birthday trip. I cannot say enough about Mikki. She is a wonderful host! 110% responsive and went above and beyond for all of us. She set up massages, cook, and gave wonderful recommendations. We rented a golf cart and boogie boards once we got there which I do recommend. We had the best surf, which is an easy walk or golf cart ride. The resort club and pool were wonderful and the pool at the house was very private and clean. The house also has a generator which was SO nice because there were several power outages. This is a trip out family will always remember and cherish and we would recommend to anyone! For our family of 5 it was perfect!

This spot is ideal, two minute walk to Colorados and pangas right up the way! Surf shop super close with great board selection. Miki helped me arranged transport from Managua and to my next spot. Felt safe here as a solo female traveler! 10/10 recommend.

Our stay at Miki’s was incredible. Not only is her Casita in a great location but it has everything you could need. Miki and her family went above and beyond to make our experience in Nicaragua wonderful. She was super attentive and gave us so many great recommendations for things to do / places to eat / transportation. She even gave me clothes and flip flops when my luggage was delayed getting to Nicaragua. We can’t wait to come back and stay with Miki! Could not recommend this place enough!

Our second stay there and we'd love to come back next year. A great escape from Managua. I love how the houses are incorporated into the forest rather than just being another residential area built on clear cut land. Quick walk to the beach. Kids loved the pool.

While Miki's place is fabulous, she's the best reason to rent it. Miki is so kind and helpful. My wife and I really enjoyed getting to know here. The studio is large with everything you need. It's only two blocks to the fabulous beach, beach club, and Pilis restaurant. Her pool is also so nice for lazing away the afternoon. We'll be back!

The house was very large, well-equipped kitchen, everything was very clean. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The pool was also lovely. Miki is a perfect host, very kind and always ready to help us and answer our questions. Hacienda Iguana is like a little bubble of paradise in Nicaragua, there are more services than in the surrounding villages: several restaurants, a market, a shop to rent surfboards, there is everything you need. The beach is beautiful, no waste, there were fewer waves than expected but it was perfect for swimming with the children. I would recommend this location and hope to return.

Casita Koyu was the perfect place to recharge. I stayed more than a week and Miki and her family are incredibly kind and welcoming. I felt at home right away. The bed and pillows are comfortable, the linens are nice quality and the place had everything I needed to feel comfortable. There were planned power outages and a few unplanned ones, but Miki has it down to a science and provides battery backups. The unit has high ceilings and lots of air flow and light. I didn’t need AC. The location can’t be beat, it’s literally a 2 minute walk from the beach; 5 minute walk to a great restaurant and a 15 minute walk to town. I’m already planning my return!

Miki was the most remarkable host. She helped plan daily massage to the house, surfing instruction, golf cart rentals and let us know about best restaurants and a great New Year's eve party. She and her sons greeted us and were available to help at any time. zWe have rented many airbnbs and this was the best!

This was my second stay at this unit. The location is perfect! Watch a howler monkey hang out in the trees by your window or fall asleep in the evening to the choir of frogs. It is always a treat to stay here and the host Miki is super responsive and thoughtful. I would happily do a three peat!

Miki’s home was spotless and had all the essentials we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved that it was less than a 2-minute walk to the surf break—perfect for beach lovers! Just down the way was Pili’s kitchen for great food, and the pool at the house was amazing. Miki even had the pool guy come daily to keep it sparkling clean, and the backyard was such a relaxing space to hang out. One of our favorite memories was the short walk to the beach where we encountered howler monkeys—such a unique experience! This truly felt like a little paradise, and we would definitely come back.

Everything was amazing

Miki is the best! Her and her two sons were so friendly, helpful, fun to talk with and very respectful. She helped us get a ride from the airport, the place was beautiful and was perfect for the three of us. AC and wifi were a nice bonus! We were also able to cook which was awesome on the sweet two burner stove. The place was very clean and the pool and yard was well kept and very peaceful to hangout. Plenty of local recommendations and friendly advice. Colorados is about a 2min walk down the road. Wildlife spottings included orcas, baby turtles, iguanas, monkeys, birds, possums and a porcupine! 10/10 would recommend this beautiful home and we will certainly be coming back!

The location is great, quiet, safe, and a few steps to the beach and Pili's kitchen, a front beach restaurant with a community shared pool. Miki was also a fantastic host: super friendly, very responsive, and always making sure everything was going smoothly for us. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly stay in one of the nicest areas around, this is 100% the place.

Awesome stay! My buddy and I were able to surf and work remote for a week in peace and comfort. In fact, this was my friend’s second time staying at this location and it’s obvious why. I hope I too can return one day.

The house is well ventilated with a great outdoor living room next to the dipping pool. It is perfectly situated in the Hacienda Iguana resort. Incredible stay in Hacienda Iguana. Miki was a great communicator and made sure I had everything I needed, set up shuttle, checked in throughout the week, etc. Loved every day I stayed here, only good things to say about the property. Amazing location, nice and quiet space with a great pool and sitting area. All amenities kept me happy cooking at home and hanging out outside. Before we arrived, Miki was already giving us directions about the place, and she helped us rent a car. Once we arrived, we felt like she was part of our family. Always attentive, and helpful. The apartment was ideal, with everything you need. A stone's throw from the beach. The pool is very clean and nice. He helped us rent boards, repair wheels, where to buy food and where to dine. Great location. Walked and golf carted everywhere. Monkeys were climbing in the trees in the front yard. Absolutely beautiful. I’ll he coming back for sure. Honestly, we probably will never stay anywhere else when traveling to Nicaragua. Miki was an incredible host, and we loved getting to know her family. Miki was incredibly proactive in helping us learn how best to spend our time and getting things schedule for us like massages (which were maybe the best massages my boyfriend and I have ever had). Miki and her son, who live in the house next door, were extremely likeable. Miki helped us enormously with various questions (e.g. where the nearest supermarket is, she put us in touch with the butcher so that we could order steaks, and introduced us to her neighbor who could rent us surfboards). Miki and her family are amazing hosts. She made traveling with our 9 month old a breeze! She was super communicative on the front end and during our stay so all we had to do was enjoy our time. She set up our airport transfers and gave us great recommendations on restaurants, food delivery, and more. The property is super clean and curated. A great place for the family. Kids loved spending the day at the beach and in the pool. House was comfortable, and the host was very responsive. (She even came by with a new coffee maker when the old one had trouble.) The neighborhood was quiet, safe to walk at night. Iguana now has my favorite beach in Nicaragua. It's clean, and the waves are rhythmic (not a chaotic wash like at other beaches I've been to). Just a great vacation all around. Thanks, Miki!
