We had a wonderful stay at Langosta Tamarindo. The location is hard to beat—just steps from the beach. It’s about a 20-minute walk into Tamarindo town, which we found to be the perfect balance. Langosta itself is much quieter and more relaxed, yet there are still about 6 great restaurants within easy walking distance. One of the highlights of the property is the pool area, which is beautiful and appears to have been recently upgraded. It’s a great spot to unwind and meet other travelers. The complex is gated with 24-hour security, which made us feel very safe, and it’s located on a paved road—definitely a plus in the area. The balcony was a favorite spot of ours, offering a peaceful green view of the trees and even the occasional iguana sighting. Inside, the unit had a large-screen TV and a spacious refrigerator with an ice maker, which was very convenient. One downside would be that the kitchen could use some updating. Other than that, it was a good stay.

I’ve been visiting Costa Rica since 2015. This is by far one of my favorite places to stay. I will definitely be going back. The location is perfect. About 100 yards to the beach another hundred yards to a surfable spot sunsets out of this world the restaurants especially Walters fish and cheeses is amazing. I really can’t say enough good things about this place. The host Jean very friendly very helpful. Thank you again.

unfortunately pool was under renovations so most of the time not usable and the noise factor was disruptive.

Perfect beachfront stay! The apartment was clean, cozy and easy beach access. Family-friendly and welcoming, it truly felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend!

Very good location, close to the beach, well equipped and safe. Excellent service from Maria. Workers were a little noisy early in the morning but we are morning and so it was a minor inconvenience. Thank you

We enjoyed our stay!! At no fault of Gail Jean, the pool was under repair and she worked so hard to create other options for us so we could enjoy a pool. 100% recommend!

Great choice of accommodation due to its proximity to the beach and pool, you are literally meters away from reaching one of the best beaches in Costa Rica (Playa Langosta). The apartment has AA, which is ideal for the high temperatures in the area. The kitchen is an additional plus, this had all the elements to prepare breakfast & Cenas. Finally, the location of the apartment is in an area with very good options for Restaurants, and outdoors activities. I'd like to go back to this apartment.

Great place. Just as advertised. Right by the beach but still quiet at night.

Wonderful private community with fellow residents and guests. We were at first surprised that the resort next door has daily musical performances that carry over to this condo complex, but we took it all in stride as did everyone else there by doing the daily macarana performance. As one fellow guest said, "you always know it is 3:00 oclock when the macarana comes on next door".

This location is perfect for Tamarindo. With its private beach access we walked every morning to the heart of Tamarindo for coffee and pastries. The condo was super well cooled and the hamac on the balcony was amazing. The pool was clean and perfect for a dip after surfing the waves. A couple of watch outs: this condo unit is right next door to a major resort so expect some form of entertainment spill-over from 10AM to the late evening. There are also lots of AC units on the outside wall which made a constant humming. Keep in mind that this unit gets 5 stars because of the location and value considering that this unit is dated and will require some updating in the next couple of years.

I really liked the apartment It is in a condominium with security and parking. It is very easy to access, it is on the main street of lobster. A 15/20 mins walk away, this is great. Be calm from the beach lobster, the condo youene a gate and go straight to the beach. The apartment looks great, just like the photos . Clean and tidy. The view is beautiful with all the vegetation, you can't see the sea because the trees clog it. Pull beach towels. Well-equipped, electric turkey coffee maker hernoda fridge, dishwasher and laundry. They leave product for washing . This is great value for money. The only thing I would like to suggest is that they could leave some fridge to take to the beach and chairs , that is very comfortable when a vacationer. It would be a plus of comfort. We were very satisfied. Check in perfefro give you a key and you enter . Check-out was flexible . Back .

This is really amazing apartment - spacious, not cluttered, great for chilling out. It is very close to the beach, but removed from the noise of downtown Tamarindo. The host was super friendly and let us check out late to accommodate for us having a sick child and needing to wait before leaving the town.

We had a wonderful one month stay. The unit is great location with beautiful pool. It’s an easy walk to beach and estuary. The unit has a comfortable bed, great A/C and washer/ dryer. We can’t wait to return.

The location was in Playa Langosta, but basically Tamarindo. It was gated. Had parking. Pool was huge and nice and a short walk to the beach. Lively hotel nextboor, but DJ didn’t keep us up. This was a very spacious place!The upstairs bedroom is like a penthouse. All Beds comfy, black out shades in room and dim lighting options. Washer/dryer worked well and detergent provided. Has coffee maker. Large fridge. Ample dishes. Good a/c. Huge patio and plenty of seating throughout space. Tv only in lr but was fine for us. Host communicated well and offered info to local grocery stores. Would def stay here again. I was just surprised it wasn’t a private home but that’s likely my fault for missing it if it said condo. Still well worth the stay! Thank you Gail.

Beautiful and peaceful location, with private access to Beach. Walking distance to great restaurants and a small market. Pool was wonderful. Security and neighbors were super friendly. Be cautious that It is on the 3rd floor - we asked our taxi driver and security to take up our suitcases - they were happy to do it. Would definitely go back. Gail, Biagio, Maria & Leo were super responsive and made this vacation one to remember. Pura Vida!!

The home is spacious and airy with lovely decor. The porch is a peaceful place to sit and listen to the sounds of the ocean and birds - while getting shade from the lush trees. The location of the home is excellent, just a minute to the beach (and another minute to an area clear of rocks so you can swim). It has fun waves to ride and a great spot for surfers. It’s also a mile to the busy town of tamarindo, which is full of bars, resteraunts and shops. The pool and surrounding area is peaceful with an outdoor shower so you can wash off. We had some unexpected issues with the air conditioning and the water but the host was quick to respond and work on resolving it. I would recommend bringing your own beach chairs as there are none in the home. Also it should be noted that there are 2 flights of steps to enter the house. My husband and I and 3 teenage boys had a great time here.

Great location, right on beach, lots of activity there, surfing, people playing volleyball within 75 yards, also you have secluded beaches. So you can people watch or be by yourself, you just need to walk one direction or another. Condo complex is clean, secure, people friendly, good pool area right there. Close to town, local resturants or grocery stores nearby.

Great location! First floor next to the pool. Very close to the beach. You can hear the waves from the unit. Lots of hot water! Clean and comfortable. Air conditioning worked very well. The unit has two- one in the bedroom and one in the kitchen/living room. Has a washer dryer. Kitchen provided all needed pans, utensils, etc. She was very responsive to texts and emails. She checked in with us to ensure that everything was perfect for us. Would stay there again.

Very nice place

Great location, loved the area, the place and the people that live in the area. Very friendly. Nice walk to town either via the beach or via the road. Quiet at night. Having the pool Right there was fun. We enjoyed our time and would return.

Fantastic location. Opens right on to the pool, and steps down to the beach for mornings and sunsets. Bahia is a special place.

We had a wonderful long term stay here. Wifi is great and very reliable. the place is clean and very spacious. Great AC for when it is hot out. There is a beach path right on the property that leads to 3 different surf breaks. Tamarindo is only a 5 minute drive. There is 24/7 security and the property is gated, we felt very safe during our stay.

Amazing location. Gail-Jean provided everything we could need (appliances, bedding, towels, etc). We absolutely loved being able to jump right in the pool after walking to the beach everyday!

Great place at a great location, especially if you have kids. It is away from noisy Tamarindo Beach but close enough to be able to go there any time you want to. The unit is right in front of the swimming pool , which was great for our daughter and us. The unit is clean and well equipped. AC in both rooms. One word of caution - not a great place for a lot of cooking. The water flow is so low that washing dishes becomes a very painful experience. But it seems like it is a common problem in CR. We stayed through the New Year so it was great to be on Langosta beach, away from the crowd. Plus the surf turned out to be much better in Langosta. Not for beginners, though.

I thoroughly enjoyed my week stay here! While some of the appliances and decor are not shiny and new, I enjoyed the condo's character and charm. The condo had everything I could want and need; it is in an excellent, quiet location; communication with owner was great, plenty of towels, a great little patio with a private bbq only a few feet from a beautiful pool, a two minute walk to a fantastic peaceful beach, and the most comfortable bed and daybed I have ever slept in (including my own). It was also very nice to have a washer/dryer, and the AC was terrific. I really enjoyed my stay here, and the location was perfect to explore Tamarindo and other areas but return to a quiet, peaceful condo to relax and sleep. I hopefully will return one day!

Very good place to stay! Everything is as described. Clean and confort!

We stayed a month a Gail-Jean's condo, a great value and beautiful setting, steps to beach. Gated community with 24 hour security. There were some minor issues at the beginning of our stay which were corrected immediately once reported to Gail-Jean. We especially enjoyed cooking out on the grill on the patio of the condo. It was like a family at the complex, met many new friends at the pool and beach. Tamarindo was an easy 20 minute walk or you could take the bus for 60 cents. Taxis were always available. Many clothing and gift shops in Tamarindo, also great restaurants and pubs on the beach and throughout the community. The estuary near the condo was great place to swim and once you crossed a beautiful white sand beach as far as you could see which we walked often collecting shells. Great surf and surfers from all over the world! Whether we stayed at the condo, enjoying the view of the pool, beautiful blooms and colorful birds or strolling the beach only steps away we had a wonderful time. Gail-Jean was a wonderful host who provided many tips on things to do and places to see before and during our stay.

Great place at an affordable rate. You are 15 feet from a nice pool too.. The location is about 10 min from the main center and it's really easy to get a cab.
