It is a comfortable, centrally located house. The host was very friendly. They left us water, coffee and a fruit basket to enjoy during the stay. We were able to rest comfortably. There is access to nearby food, pharmacies, a market and convenience stores. Excellent. We would definitely stay again.

The place is fine, there were 10 of us and we slept comfortably. They spoiled us by leaving enough fruit and water for the stay. If you are going to stay there, you have to keep in mind that right on that whole block there are street food stalls, so the sidewalk is invaded with the benches that they put for people to eat and it is difficult to walk and it is at the entrance table, so just keep in mind to maneuver with the suitcases and above all keep in mind that the windows are completely closed because in our case one was open and the smell of food was very strong in the room and even in the clothes that stayed there. It's just a detail to take into account, and there is some noise from that street, but it doesn't take away from the 10 rating. If you have a car, consider adding the cost of parking. lo

We were a group of 7 people who stayed at Gerardo's place before, during, and a few days after Day of the Dead in Oaxaca. This is an EXTREMELY festive time in the city. Gerardo's place is great for a large group---plenty of room. It's close to the Zocalo and markets, and an easy walk to many places in the city for shopping and restaurants. Beware that during the celebration of Day of the Dead, the streets are very busy and noisy, meaning that you'll probably need earplugs to sleep well in the two bedrooms that face the street. Food vendors set up their stalls in front of the apt door, so you will always smell delicious food, but you will also hear a lot of setting up and taking down of the stalls. On the other hand, you may be surprised a few times with amazing parades going the street. You'll be glad you have a balcony to watch them from. Gerardo left us coffee and fruit and accommodated an early checkin. He was also ready to answer any questions we had. Great host, great place.

Gerardo’s place was amazing! Was one of the best Airbnb‘s I have ever stayed at. It was so spacious! There was ample room for a group of 11 and was updated nicely. We essentially had the third floor of a building. It was huge! It was also had everything we could need for our group. It is just a couple blocks off of the center of the city. There was ample things to do and places to eat. We especially enjoyed the balcony where we could watch all of the action from above. Would stay again!

Second time staying at Gerardo’s place. Can’t beat the location and Gerardo is an excellent host. Would highly recommend the pace especially if you’re a large group. We were a group of 11 the first time we stayed and a group of 7 the second time. Then place is spacious and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen too. Will plan to stay here again on our next trip to Oaxaca!

This place was a good choice for our group of 13 people. Having 3 bathrooms and the large space in the dining area and living room was great for hanging out. The balcony was also a good addition for privacy for smaller groups. We went during late April when Oaxaca was very hot and the place was quite hot and made it difficult for some of us to sleep at night. Opening the windows helped a bit. When we first arrived we found 5 cockroaches, and the fridge wasnt cold probably from being plugged in recently. It seemed maybe the unit had been empty for a while since we didnt find any more cockroaches on later days. The location was really good, close to markets and a short walk to a lot of the key places in downtown Oaxaca. The only downside was the bugs and maybe the lack of AC, clear positives was a great host, plenty of running hot water for the amount of people, good location and a huge comfortable space.

Gerardo was exceptionally responsive and helpful. Whenever we had a question he had an immediate and helpful answer. He met us late at night to show us to the spacious apartment and carried our luggage up the easy three flights. The apartment is perfectly located a block from the Zocalo and the Central Market. The accommodations are clean, comfortable and spacious. Perfect host and perfect location for exploration of wonderful Oaxaca.

Our big family group of 11 had a wonderful time at Gerardo’s place in the heart of Oaxaca. We loved being just steps from the Zocalo in the center of town, and the bustling local markets. The house has lots of space for eating, gathering, and playing games. Our 2 year old granddaughter loved running around the huge room in the middle of the apartment. Gerardo was exceptionally responsive to our needs and dealt quickly with questions and concerns. If you plan to stay you should be aware that the apartment is located on a busy commercial street and there is a fair amount of noise in the front bedrooms.

Casa ToSu is in a super location, clean, and spacious. Gerardo was a phenomenal host. He was gracious, helpful, responsive, and accessible. In addition, Gerardo went out his way to meet some of our needs- got for us water and drinks before we arrived, allowed us to check-in earlier as our flight arrived in Oaxaca earlier we had originally estimated, and helped us with our luggage. Through apps, we were in constant communication about needs and resources. We loved the balcony on the top floor. We were able to see the Comparsas that went through the 20 de noviembre street and enjoyed the ambience. We encourage Gerardo to be clearer about the 42 steps require to enter his beautiful place. Overall, the experience in Oaxaca was wonderful thanks to him and his familia. We are grateful to the Zapotecas, their ancestors, Oaxaqueñas y Oaxaqueños for welcoming us. Can't wait to go back. Mil Gracias Gerardo.

Great place to stay and Gerardo is an excellent host! The location can't be beat. You are right in the heart of the historic district of Oaxaca. Several shops, 2 mercados, restaurants and the zocalo are all within a short walk from the place. The place is clean and one of the most interesting places I've stayed at. it's on the top floor of a building with a retail shop below. The balcony overlooking 20 Noviembre street was the highlight of this place. Everyone in our group enjoyed hanging out and checking out all the action below. Although you are in the thick of all the action, it's still very private because you are on the top floor which offers great views as well. The place itself has a well equipped kitchen and plenty of space for our group of 11. Bathrooms and showers were clean and had plenty of hot water. Beds were very comfortable. Sheets and towels were top quality as well. Gerardo is also an excellent host. Would recommend this place and would stay here again.

Gerardo's house is ideal for a large group. We were two families with teenagers and it was ideal. The house is very clean, very spacious and the bathrooms work perfect, the pressure and temperature of the showers are unbeatable. The security is also very adequate, all the locks and locks work perfectly. The stay is very quiet, you don't feel the hustle and bustle of the street. The location is great, as it is located a few meters from the delicious dining rooms of the market and two blocks away is the square. Without a doubt, staying at Gerardo's house helped us have a few wonderful days in the beautiful city of Oaxaca. I hope we can come back very soon and I highly recommend it.
