We had a wonderful stay at Villa Gema Escondida. The villa is very spacious; the absolute highlight is the fantastic outdoor area with a wonderful view of the ocean and a great pool. We saw toucans and coatis right by the house every day. Communication with the host was great and very smooth. The lower level could be a bit cozier and has only fans, no AC. We had an internet outage one day. But none of that affected our stay. The drive to the villa was fine; we only bottomed out on some high speed bumps during the last kilometer. But our Kia Seltos doesn’t have the highest ground clearance, either.

This house is more amazing than the pictures!! Spacious, clean and peaceful. Views are unbelievable as is the grounds surrounding the house. It’s green season but that didn’t matter at this property. Literally my only want was a pool net while we stayed. Get the private chef experience you won’t regret it!!

We had a wonderful time here. Agree with many of the other reviews. Exceptional property with much to offer and an excellent location. Definitely need a 4x4 vehicle on these grounds. Many interactions with wildlife, incredible views, a private feel, and quiet. Would definitely consider this property for future bookings.

The home itself was clean and generally as advertised, but it felt more industrial than welcoming. Be aware it's about a 30-minute drive on a rough stone road. The biggest issue was the frequent power outages. We repeatedly lost lights, A/C, Wi-Fi, and had very limited cell service. There is an electric gate that doesn't operate without power, which left us feeling quite trapped in a dark house which was very uncomfortable. I contacted the host multiple times through a third party app as instructed. My calls were never answered, and responses usually came much later by text. After checkout, I politely shared my concerns. Instead of acknowledging them, the host accused us of damaging two outdoor tables we never used and requested over $300. Which felt like a scam to get more money. As an Airbnb Superhost myself, I understand problems happen, but support and fairness matter. Unfortunately, we experienced neither. Based on our stay, I would not recommend this property.

This home is located in the jungle it is extremely beautiful. The drive to the main road is on dirt roads. 4x4 is necessary. The power goes out often and we had no internet all but one day of our trip. The home was immaculate, the pool was clean, and the views were incredible.

The pictures do not do this Villa justice! The drive up the mountain was worth the beautiful views!! The pool and the sunsets were fabulous and just what my soul needed! The host was responsive and kind. You will not regret booking!

The location and the house were perfect. We enjoyed everything about it. It was secluded with beautiful views! Oscar was very helpful with questions and recommendations. Would book again with Paradise Management.

We spent 7 nights in this little corner of Paradise, we found incredible zenitude there, a jungle full of small animals (many coatis) many birds (parrots, toucan etc…). We had spectacular views to the front, stunning ocean views and a very dense forest on each side. Thanks to Oscar our concierge who responded quickly to any questions we had, thanks to Esteban who organized our arrival at the villa well, we chose the meal with a chef as well as a massage. About 6 km from the residence we ate on several occasions at the Scala restaurant, it was an excellent restaurant We leave with our heads filled with beautiful memories We look forward to seeing you again Éric and Marie-Josée
