The Space
This breezy, upstairs apartment features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, each bedroom equipped with air conditioning. The main bedroom includes a queen bed, while the second bedroom offers two twin beds. All beds have luxury mattresses and cotton sheets for added comfort. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a full-size refrigerator and freezer, a full-size oven, a blender, and other essentials. Drinking water is provided.
A newly added 35 square meter shaded private balcony offers ample outdoor space with pleasant views. The apartment benefits from a constant cool breeze that flows through the nearby mountains.
Strong Wi-Fi with battery backup is available, suitable for streaming and online work.
Location
The apartment is situated just 100 meters from the beach, positioned directly between Santana and Magnific Rock. Popoyo is a 15-minute walk along the beach, with no rivers to cross.
Known as Las Palmas, the property lies 200 meters north of Buena Onda on the same access road.

Amazing host and amazing person. Highly recommend staying at Jon’s. Very close to beach and low tide tide pools. Balcony every morning for breakfast. Great experience, thank you so much for the hospitality.

A true gem in Popoyo. You’re three minutes away from the beach and right next to the grocery store. There are several restaurants at a short walking distance. The terrace is nice and comfortable to hang out at night with people. The property is well equipped, everything was as described, really clean. We couldn’t be happier. Jon, the host, was extremely friendly and responsive. I 100% recommend this place and I intend to go back with friends and family!

"Ocean view": building between the house and the beach, the photos do not match. "Fully equipped kitchen": sticky stoves, damaged utensils. No microwave, oil, or toilet paper. Sloppy cleaning, we had to buy sponges/products. "Powerful wifi suitable for working": constant internet/electrical outages. “Wash battery”: 1 oscillator that only lasts 1 hr. "Dedicated Workspace": 1 tiny shaky table, 1 steep chair. Very noisy (work, barking 5am-10pm, loud music at the surf shop opposite). We left 12 days before the end, freeing up the Airbnb calendar. Because of "work to do" and a "friend visiting during his trip", Jon made these days unavailable. I have lived in several countries, I travel, I am tolerant. I was hoping for a (partial - partial) refund of the $500 + paid for the end given the experience noted by Jon. I trusted the positive reviews, the place is a good fit if you don't need a rest or work.

We absolutely love it here! Jon quickly became a friend, he’s very welcoming, easy going and kind. We were very lucky to be introduced to lots of people through him making our stay so fun. Perfect location… we’re definitely coming go back! Thanks Jon you legend!

We stayed at Las Palmas for over a month, and wow all I have to say are great things. Jon is an incredible host and makes you feel right at home. He is super friendly and makes amazing food from time to time. The place was very clean and comfortable. If you are coming to surf, there are so many breaks only a few minutes away. The place is spectacular in every way and we will definitely be coming back to Las Palmas! 10/10

I absolutely loved staying in the apartment, specious, breezy with kitchen, living room and terrace. The Kitchen is well equipped to cook your own meals. My stay was surf oriented, there are waves everywhere, my favourite definitely being the walk to and surf at popoyo, but there's also a wave right out front or playa Santana. Jon was super helpful, knowledgeable and quickly responded when I needed anything. There are two supermarkets very close by and the fruit and veggie truck comes almost every day. The Supermarktes are pricey, but they are there.
