We got to town late and had to pivot because our other Airbnb did not meet our needs. They were super quick and helpful, calling us on Whats App to arrange some details. Very friendly, amazing house, highly recommended!

We loved our stay here in Uvita! The house was beautiful and we loved the backyard and the pool. Walked to the beach everyday. It was an incredible trip!

Shaun and I just got back from Casa Mariposa and I am still thinking about it. Christine and Tom’s team met us in town and drove us to the property. The hills are steep and a 4x4 is a must. From that first handshake, we knew we were in good hands. The house sits high in the rainforest with the Pacific stretched out in front of you. We spent hours at the infinity pool and never got tired of the view. Ivania made me rice pudding one afternoon that I am still dreaming about. They had my favorite tea waiting in the pantry, along with the binoculars we used every day. Toucans, scarlet macaws, and howler monkeys passed through nonstop. We booked massages and coffee scrubs right there on the terrace, which felt like something out of a movie. The hiking trail is easy and we walked it more than once. Wilson and Ivania take real pride in this place. The home and grounds were super clean. We will definitely be back!

I won’t have the words to fully capture how magical our stay here was. The home itself is absolutely immaculate and the view is breathtaking! The house is perched high on a mountain, overlooking the ocean with endless lush greenery and total privacy. It truly feels like your own secluded paradise! We woke up with the howler monkeys every morning and spotted so much incredible wildlife right from the house. The location is perfect for exploring the nearby beaches, which are some of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen. After a day of adventure, coming back to the house and relaxing in the pool (our kids loved) was the perfect way to unwind. Tom and Christine were incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating; wonderful people and hosts! If you’re considering staying here, don’t hesitate for a second. This place is truly special. It was exactly what my soul and nervous system needed, and I genuinely feel like I left a piece of my heart there. We cannot wait to return someday!

We had a great trip and loved the area! Our stay at Casa Ballena was what made our trip amazing. The view is stunning and the house has everything we needed.

we stayed in this house in Uvita for 5 days. there were 8 of us with 4 kids. the place was great. enough space for 4 kids to stay in the upstairs bedroom. the location of the house is amazing. it's very walkable to both playa Uvita and playa Colonia where we spent much of our time. (strongly recommend uvita surf and tour for surf lessons) we stayed in March which was incredibly hot but the house AC and fans were excellent. very comfortable beds and the 2 bathrooms were plenty for both families to share. Some noise from upstairs will transmit to main floor bedrooms but it seems that night sounds from birds and animals etc is standard in costa Rica. we especially loved the white faced monkeys that hang out in the trees above the pool! thanks for a wonderful stay!

An excellent place, unrivaled views! Access is by 4x4, but for me, that’s part of the experience!! I liked it and recommend it.

Have been visiting CR for fifteen years and this was one of the nicest airbnbs have yet to experience. It’s a nice change of pace from more busy destinations and loved exploring the local beaches, especially Dominicalito and Ventanas. We spent half our time poolside enjoying the zen of the views and all the wildlife. Pura vida!

The house is really, really beautiful. Well-equipped kitchen and items for the beach. We would definitely come back.

This property was incredible. The views are to die for, I could spend all day in that pool! Christine and Tom from jaguar management were top notch. We felt very safe here and well taken care of, they have thought of everything! Driveway requires a 4x4 but the views are well worth it. Any issues or concerns we had were immediately addressed with kindness and they even accommodated a very unexpected late check in for us. Definitely hope to visit again in the future!

This place was comfortable and accessible to great amenities and a nice little community felt like I was a part of things and also had privacy. Thomas and Christine run a very efficient operation and were very helpful leading up to the stay. They had great recommendations and knew the area very well.
