The Space
Our closest home to the beach is ideally situated for families seeking sun-filled days and adventures in both ocean and jungle settings. The house is surrounded by a gated tropical garden, offering a peaceful stroll through lush greenery.
Wake up to the calming sounds of nature while enjoying your morning coffee on the poolside patio, enveloped by vibrant tropical gardens. The beautifully landscaped grounds are home to colorful flowers and mature trees where hummingbirds and coatis are frequent visitors. You can also expect daily sightings of scarlet macaws, toucans, iguanas, and white-faced monkeys in the treetops.
After a day of exploring, refresh yourself in the outdoor garden shower, relax by floating in the pool, or unwind with a book on the patio. The fully equipped, air-conditioned kitchen allows you to prepare fresh meals, or you can grill outdoors on the BBQ. - Playa Ballena National Park charges a daily entry fee of 3,000 colones per person (approximately $6 USD).

Belle maison. excellent service. Par contre, le salon et la table à dîner se trouvent à l'extérieur. L'emplacement est bien et c'était propre.

We had a wonderful experience from booking to checkout. Tom and Christine provided all necessary details as well as thoughtful information on local tours and services. The house itself is beautiful, comfortable, and as described. We appreciated the walkable location yet with a private feel. We enjoyed morning coffee while watching (and listening to) all the birds, monkeys, and iguanas from the patio. We would highly recommend Tom and Christine’s place in Uvita!

This was a gem! Pool is perfect size & surrounded by lushness. Tom & Christine guided us thru every step of the process, from planning to arriving. The house is beautiful & the bedrooms are well appointed. The Ticos in the neighborhood are so friendly - and you can get loads of smiles!

Tom and Christine were amazing hosts! I highly recommend using the concierge service they offer to book excursions. All of ours were the best experience and at great prices. The ATV tour is a must! It allowed us to explore so much more than we thought possible. The car rental recommendation was great and hassle free too. As for Casa Uvita, it was amazing. In my opinion it far exceeded the pictures and description. The outdoor space is so peaceful and we still felt like we were exploring, even while just relaxing at the house. We were visited by Toucans, Macaws, and many other fun birds. The house was clean and had the best stocked kitchen. I also love having access to a washer and dryer! It was a 2 minute walk to a great little cafe/coffee shop on the corner and other places were just a few more minutes away. My family will definitely be back to Uvita and this is for sure where we will be staying again. Also, we loved our visit from "Chente" a local dog who also found us on the beach!

Beautiful location - right in the heart of uvita!! Wonderful place with beautiful pool and garden. We felt very welcomed and found everything super convenient. The recommended concierge service was well worth it and we enjoyed all the suggested activities that we participated in.

The place is really nice, we fully enjoyed the pool and the garden that looks like a small jungle, we had the visit of many birds and some monkeys in the morning, I really recommend this place for a stay in Uvita On top of that the communication was very easy

La casa es muy bonita, pero sería bueno hacer algunas reformas, sobre todo considerando el precio de la casa. Los utensilios de cocina podrían ser mejores (mayor variedad). La zona es tranquila, se llega caminando a diferentes Cafés, restaurantes y tiendas, en 5min en coche se llega a la carretera. la calle esta en buen estado, el terreno es llano. la playa mas cerca es la del parque nacional que requiere pagar entrada, cara para no residentes, pero cuenta con playas muy bonitas gratis a 10min en coche. La comunicación fue muy buena y pudimos incluso quedarnos un dia mas a precio razonable debido a que estaba vacía. en resumen muy buena experiencia aunque un poco caro.

Tom met us at the BM supermarket and made the check-in process very easy. We really enjoyed the space and it was close to town. The pool was very nice and clean and the outdoor space was very comfortable with lots of lounge chairs. The internet was pretty slow and there were a few lights out but we communicated those to him upon departure so I’m sure they will be taken care of. All in all we enjoyed the accommodation and would recommend it.
