Martha's house is perfect by the lagoon! The exterior is exceptional with several shaded areas to relax and a private pontoon. Paddleboards and kayaks are available for trips on the lagoon. Very close to the village (10-min drive). Matha was very responsive to our requests. I recommend this house!!

Martha was very responsive and efficient in communicating with us from the beginning of the stay and even afterward. She was particularly attentive to a comment we made about skin reactions to the lagoon water upon our arrival! She offered us all their support. Moreover, everything was resolved, and the water was superb from the day after our arrival. The house was austere and a bit tight for 10 people, but very pleasant because it is spacious and has direct access to the lagoon with kayaks and paddleboards available. It is very well located in relation to the nightlife—not too close to avoid the noise but not too far from the entertainment. I would recommend this house without hesitation! Also worth mentioning are the very complete kitchen equipment and the products available! Thank you for everything, Martha!

If you want beautiful rustic Mexican charm in a perfect setting with private access to a fresh water lake then this is for you. I see some criticisms are that it’s not modern enough.. but that’s not why you’d book casa Arbol. It was exactly what we wanted, the facilities were beyond other Airbnb’s we’ve experienced, we felt privileged to be able to enjoy someone’s holiday home as we feel they would enjoy it too.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Casa del Arbol. The home was spacious, comfortable, and perfect for our group. We especially loved spending time on the dock, which became our favorite place to relax and enjoy the views. The backyard was another great gathering spot. The air conditioning in each bedroom made a big difference, especially during warmer nights. The host was also incredibly helpful throughout our stay, providing excellent local recommendations and even arranging a fantastic boat trip for our family. We highly recommend the casa and would happily stay here again.

This is an absolute beautiful location. The lake front area is perfect we could walk to a near sandbar and the property has everything we needed. Will be our go to for now on every time we come .. been to Bacalar many times and this is by far our favorite. Host was super helpful and responsive. We loved casa del árbol I want to live here

It is a very nice house with an excellent location, ideal for going with the family. It has many amenities and very comfortable rooms. The pier and the way it's arranged make it ideal for not wanting to go anywhere anymore. It doesn't have good cell phone reception, so it helps you disconnect a bit. Overall, everything was very nice My family and I will definitely come back

We had a wonderful family stay. We had two children with us and the property was great for them with a level back yard, kayaks, paddle boards and the lagoon right there. The bedrooms were spacious and the layout worked well for our family of 7. We made most of our meals at the house and the kitchen was well equipped. Martha made us feel very welcome and was very attentive. Thanks Martha!

We had a great time exploring Bacalar from Martha’s home. It was perfect for our multigenerational trip and offered activities for everyone from 2-75.

This place is pure magic. The lagoon views are unreal, and having direct access for kayaking and paddle boarding made the experience unforgettable. We had a great stay, despite the weather. Unfortunately a lot of rain, but a big house and plenty to do. Fantastic views and access to the lake. Free kayaks and paddleboards, had a lot of fun!

Laguna Bacalar is lovely and this house is as described and photographed. It's a wonderful place to be active on the water, to reach Mayan ruins, or just relax in the outdoor furniture and hammocks. Excellent restaurants are from walkable to an 8-minute drive away. Martha was a very knowledgable and responsive host.

I definitely recommend Casa del Árbol in Bacalar. It's a good size, it's very well equipped, the dock makes it exceptional! I would definitely come back. Martha always answered our questions promptly and gave us many recommendations. The only thing I would say is that if you have a low car, it will be very difficult to go down the ramp to enter the garden because ours scraped a lot, the ideal thing is a high car or to put it on its side very carefully. Apart from that, everything was excellent!

If you are headed to Bacalar, BOOK THIS HOUSE! My family of four had an incredible time staying at Casa de Arbol. This house is spacious, comfortable, and fully stocked with everything you may need. The location is perfect and the house is extremely safe and secure. I was shocked at how stocked the kitchen was and all of the amenities the house provided, such as paddle boards, kayaks, hammocks, games, books, floaties, etc. There was even a vase of flowers waiting for us on the table when we arrived. Martha is a fantastic host and helped us book activities (with no mark up) and answer any questions that we had about the area. I would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to Bacalar. We will definitely book this home again!!

He gave us the information we needed, the space is very nice and the service is constant. The care and options to contact service providers directly to go to the house or take you to the meeting point for activities is very useful. The cleaning service is adequate. It really is a place to rest and enjoy the beauty of the lagoon.

We chose the Casa for our first multi-generational international trip and it was everything we needed. Being right on the lagoon gave us built-in activities and added immense value to our experience. There was plenty of spaces around the grounds for everyone to relax alone or gather together which was super nice to keep the harmony going when traveling with a group! My dad gets overheated easily and we were initially concerned about AC only in the bedrooms, but it ended up being no issue at all! There is a lovely breeze coming over the lake most of the time and the mini splits in the bedrooms were more than adequate to sleep comfortably. We had a couple (very, very minor) issues come up but Martha truly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. I’d recommend this place to anyone!

Our stay in this beautiful place was disrupted by a tropical storm. But we were always very well accompanied by the young woman who managed on site and who responded quickly to all our requests. She did everything to make our stay go smoothly. Thank you! We will keep a very good memory of this holiday despite the whims of nature and its consequences!

This Airbnb is amazing and we loved our stay. We spent the vast majority of our time here out on the dock or in the water— the location is truly beautiful. Marta was an excellent host— responding quickly to any questions and providing us with lots of local recommendations. There are small hotels on either side of the property, so it is easy to walk to a restaurant if you don’t want to head into town (5 min drive away). The property has kayaks and paddle boards for guests— which was a great bonus. Thank you, Martha! We had the best time and hope to be back soon.

More than excellent, the place is quite pleasant with the dock you have immediate access to the lagoon at the moment you like, it has kayaks, padel tables among other amenities to make your stay pleasant, the house is just what you are offered and see in the photos and Martha's attention is unbeatable very attentive to any situation, it resolves you whatever the inconvenience in minutes and in a friendly way, we do not have any complaints, recommended, we would return if we have an opportunity.

We stayed with 5 persons in the house and had a great time. Martha was super nice and proactive in helping us. The view is just incredibly beautiful and there are some hotels with restaurants close by. For everything else you can walk or take a taxi (cheap) to the center. The house is nice and there is a lot of space to relax and enjoy.

You cannot beat the view from this house. The house has available floaters, kayaks and paddle boards, allowing you to explore the lake. The clean space, welcoming host, and amazing open space to the lake made our trip extremely relaxing and enjoyable. We stayed here for a girls trip and it was amazing . Martha was very responsive at my requests before , during and after the trip . There is was plenty of space for the four of us and of lounging spots - we all loved the hammocks and being able to just get in the water in the morning and kayak /SUP to the different cenotes and having some cocktails at night on dock . Martha recommended a couple of restaurantes and they were all good ! Taxis to town were a bit hard to get but Martha helped us and got to where we needed to go . Would recommend to tell the taxis to use the name of the hotel next door for the pick up point and drop off point. I would highly recommend this place to all my friends and would stay again . There are lots of places to stay in Bacalar, but there's only one Martha! Ultra-quick with her answers even late at night, always precise and very informative, Martha is a great help in making the most of a stay in Bacalar. the house is really very good, both in its architecture and its location, only the low water pressure in the showers can be criticized, everything else is perfect. As for the beautiful Bacalar lagoon, it's becoming very touristy. It's still a wonderful place, but don't expect to swim in the pirate channel or los rapidos without the crowds.

the tree house is highly recommended... clean installation and orders, many amenities included that are very worth washing, and the Bacalar area for vacation,near the center.. excellent option

The house had all the basic supplies, fully-equipped kitchen! It's the most complete place I've ever been. Definitely worth the money.

La Atencion: IMPECCABLE, Martha is super friendly and pro-active. She was always ready for any questions. The cleanliness: SPARKLING, this is one of the few places where the host really sends hotel type DAILY cleaning, the cleaning lady, super friendly and was doing well, super respectful of privacy and belongings. Lean TIP! The place: It's a dream, the location on the canal with shallow water and very few boats, makes it possible for children to swim without such restriction and dads can relax, the spectacular view. The house: beautiful with EVERYTHING needed, 3 dining rooms (interior, hallway and palapa); but the star is the dock with its palapa and lounge chairs. The very comfortable rooms (good mattresses and pillows) EVERYTHING WORKS. Amenities: You don't have to spend anything! There are kayaks, paddles, children's inflatables, board games, cooler. EVERYTHING YOU NEED AND EVERYTHING SERVES. WE'LL BE BACK FOR SURE!

We stayed for a few days with friends, ending our trip through Mexico, in Casa del Arbol. It was fantastic! This house is like a little paradise! Everything made and entertained with love. Martha is a great host, was there from the beginning and helped us immediately when we didn't find the house. It was better than maps. We once had a day, power outage ( the whole street) and it was immediately there with good solutions. Despite very warm climate and high humidity, we decide one day including night, without spending air conditioning and mobile phone. It was worth the experience Martha surprised us with an extended boat trip for this. Also the kids have come along and realized how good a Natel Detox day is! We highly recommend this house. The area is also great. We walked to the surrounding restaurants in the evening and it is safe. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Arbol!!! It was perfect for 2 families and the setting was so beautiful and relaxing. Our kids loved playing with all the floats in the lagoon, and we enjoyed using the paddle boards and kayaks. The town was about a 25-30 min enjoyable walk from the house. Martha was a wonderful host! The Casa del Arbol is beautiful - right on the lagoon, with access to swimming, kayaking and other water activities right outside your front door. I find two negatives about this place, neither of which have anything to do with Martha or the Casa. Firstly, there is nothing much to do in the town - not very interesting to walk around in. Secondly, there doesn't seem to be any good beaches around. The lagoon is great, but if also want a beach, you'll probably be disappointed. Martha was an excellent hostess.

Amazing! Best sunset view on the sweetest spot on the laguna! The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook and plenty of plates and flatware. So great to have so many spots to chill - especially the palapa covered deck. Martha is the best host I have EVER encountered in Airbnb- professional, knowledgeable and super friendly. She brought me an amazing purple birthday cake on my birthday 💜- that was so special!! She helped us with recommendations -awesome places to eat , where to buy shrimp and even booked our in house massages 💙 We used the awesome BBQ for a grill dinner and ate it under the fantastic palapa covered al fresco dining area😍. The bedrooms are comfy- bathrooms clean. The showers are fantastic and excellent water pressure!!! Oh the kayaks and paddle boards are fun to have at our disposal - sunrise kayaking in paradise is the best experience. Huge plus - we booked a boat tour and they picked us up from our deck - that was fantastic!!! Five ⭐️ rating !!!

We loved this house! The location was perfect to kayak or to stand-up paddle board! The house included the kayaks and paddle boards! We were able to witness the sunrise every morning! The house comes with everything you need to cook and have a nice home cooked meal, from pots, pans, plates, and utensils. The house is big enough and roomie! The host Martha was amazing, she gave us lots of recommendations and even helped us booked a few activities we wanted to do. The best part is that the house was cleaned everyday, it truly felt like a hotel but with all the privacy! We will definitely comeback to this lovely house!!

Great location, beautiful place by the water with everything you need . Comfy, big and welcoming. Martha was always there for anything we needed. Definitely had a well relaxed few days at her place.

This place is magical. I really hope that when we come back (and we will), this home/town is still as charming as ever, and commercialization stays to a minimum, but that isn't for me to decide. Anyways - this house was wonderful. Martha was extremely attentive and incredibly helpful at giving us food recommendations, coordinating our taxi to Cancun airport, booking us a personal chef for a night, helping us get around, and offering to drive us to a pharmacy when my friend desperately needed a decongestant - so if I could, I would give her more stars than are allotted. The house itself is amazing; waking up to calm waters and taking out a kayak was dreamlike, the internet service was amazing for those who needed to get work done, the number of beds was perfect for our group, and the open doors during the day were really nice. An around incredible experience.

We had a wonderful time in this house! The location is super good, at the beautiful lake. Host Martha was immediately ready upon arrival and someone from the team is present every day. If you had any questions, they responded very quickly via the Airbnb chat. There were lots of kayaks and supboarding that we could use as well as life jackets. The private pier was great. The house has several places to sit outside. The house has typical Mexican decor with many small trinkets. The roof terrace gives a great view! There is not really a large supermarket in the area. We have been looking for barbecue goodies for a long time. There are restaurants in walking distance. The house was not 100% clean.

The house is a jewel and the location in relation to the lagoon is perfect. It is a little retreat from downtown, so if you are interested in going downtown you will have to go by car or taxi. I think what is most worth of this place, is the service that the people of the staff give you since they make your stay as perfect as possible and any problem you have, support you to fix it. I recommend it 100% and would definitely return.

We highly recommend staying here. If you have children, the location across from the island is great because the water is so calm and shallow. Martha was very professional and helpful, and the house was clean and comfortable. We would definitely return!

Part of me doesn't want to write a glowing review because I want to keep this gem all to myself!!! The location is wonderful. The house is roomy and welcoming. It is almost like being inside an art gallery, the attention to detail is amazing. There is plenty of space and it is on a perfect spot on Laguna Bacalar - close to everything. We kayaked in the morning while the lake was glass, we napped in hammocks, played games, swam in the lake, took a boat tour right from our dock. The house is fully stocked. Our dog loved the fenced in yard. The best part of our stay is Martha!!! She is incredibly knowledgeable about the area, helpful, responsive, pleasant and professional. We are already planning our next trip.

Oh my goodness I don't even know where to start! From the moment we booked, we were taken care of with love and care from Martha! She asked for details of our trip and made plans for a birthday cake and balloons before we even got there! Her and her team were extremely caring and lovely throughout our stay. The casa de arbol made our stay in Bacalar perfect. The rooms are spacious and include twin beds in all three bedrooms. The kitchen is well stocked with the basic tools and appliances. The dock is everything the pictures describe and more. There are hammocks all over the house and the house provides floaties, lifejackets, and kayaks. The house also provides drinking water during your stay so you don’t have to purchase water bottles. The best part of our stay though was our host Martha and her team. She made us feel so welcomed and comfortable from the get go. She was available for questions and support via whatsapp at all hours of the day. She had the best suggestions, recommendations, and connected us with all the local spots. For example, we wanted to buy and cook local fish but couldn’t find any at the market . Martha reached out to the fisherman directly. If you want to know the stunning Bacalar, get to know Martha. Please treat the lagoon with respect and care. It’s a natural wonder that affords us a chance to connect with something special - only if we take care of it. We recommend doing at least one walk to pick up trash during your stay! You can ask Martha for trash bags and you’ll get thumbs up from locals.

Each one is beautiful, it has a privileged location! We loved it! We were super quiet and comfortable in the house! All the staff are very good and excellent service!

Let me first state that the pictures do not do this fabulous house justice! The beauty is hard to put into words. This casa truly brings pure serenity and joy to all who visit. It is very well equipped with everything you will need for a comfortable stay. There are lots of little personal touches that are everywhere throughout that make it extra special. The best part of this house is the hostess, Martha! She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was amazing in every way! It was as if we had a personal concierge that was always available. She provided us with lots of information regarding restaurants, stores, and things to do. She even booked our pontoon boat ride around the lake. We have stayed in many Airbnb’s, but this is by far the best yet! We look forward to returning again one day for another visit.
