Excellent option! Comfortable, easy access to beach, great linens and towels, super comfortable beds. As for crockery and cooking utensils, it has everything and more. The house has its own style, with many details that account for the affection they have to the house. It's a well-kept airbnb. Gillian super attentive as well as the administrator. El jardin es Nat Geo live. You see coaties, iguaties, and even deer!! We loved staying here and will be our choice in Playa del Carmen! Thanks for hosting us, we felt right at home!

Gillian’s place was so beautiful. Artistically and tastefully decorated with everything you need to feel at home. Fantastic location. While it is conveniently close to downtown, it’s still perfectly located within Playacar. A couple of things we learned after a few days that made our time more enjoyable. Rent bikes the first day. Then you can easily get around and find all the little gems in Playacar. Xaman-Ha Paseo makes a loop around the golf course and it’s a bike lane on one side. The pool has a permanent visitor - Mr Iguana. He loves the pool, but for gods sake don’t feed him or any of the animals because they will become pests. Gillian’s condo is surrounded by a jungle patch that is an Aviary you can visit. It’s like watching the nature channel from the living room. If you come to PDC from a cooler, drier climate like us, leave the windows closed and turn on the AC in the rooms you occupy. Turn them off when you leave the room and shut doors to keep it cool.

Our stay at Gillian's villa was absoloutely fantastic. The location was perfect - not too close or far away from the hustle and bustle of Fifth Avenue, and better yet, a short walk to one of the nicest beaches in Playa. The villa was tastefully decorated, and well-stocked with everything you would need. Above all, Gillian was great host who was always friendly and responsive to our questions. We felt well taken care of, and wish we could have stayed for longer!

We enjoyed our stay at Gillians home , we had no problems . The beach is beautiful and a short walk away, And her manager Tina was next door and very helpful if we had any questions and we really appreciated the early and late check out . Thank you very much !

As a family at 6, we spent a superb week stay in the wonderful villa of Gillian which is ideally located, a quiet place a few minutes walk from the beach and the 5th avenue. The house is very clean, 3 beautiful bedrooms with spacious bathrooms, a very comfortable bedding and a very well equipped kitchen. We met some exotic animals and much loved listened to in the morning, the song of the birds of the rainforest that is just behind the house. We took full advantage of the beautiful swimming pool , the beach and the walks in the busiest street of Playa Del Carmen (5th avenue). Gillian's suggestions and recommendations were clear and helpful . Cris was welcoming, responsive and very friendly, he responded to all our requests and rented us a vehicle for our trips to the Cenotes and Tulum. We will definitely return at another time of year, probably next December. Finally, we thank Gillian for all the arrangements she has made to make our stay pleasant and highly recommend this beautiful home for a beautiful holiday.

Gillian’s house is great. Spacious, super well equipped with everything you need to spend an amazing week in Playa del Carmen. The garden is just lovely, the pool is amazing and the house super comfortable!

Gillian's home is located in the most ideal location of the entire complex! Virtually no neighbors and a lush jungle as your backyard, filled with tropical creatures to marvel upon from the patio. Everything in the unit is of very good quality: the couch, bed linens, towels, etc. Comfortable bed in main bedroom, tons of hangers in the closets and plenty of hooks to hang humid towels (a detail many Airbnbs overlook). We loved the proximity of our parking space as well as the go-to convenience store and french bakery just around the corner. There were a few maintenance hick-ups and basic necessities missing upon check in, but the manager, Chris, went the extra mile to make us comfortable and took really great care of us throughout our stay. He and his wife, Nina, were kind and very responsive.

Loved our stay here! A few details about the place that I would have wanted to know in advance... It's 2 stories and has everything you need. On the bottom is a bedroom with a queen bed. There's also a bathroom downstairs. Upstairs are the other 2 bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms. The sofa bed isn't in great shape, but will fit 1-2 small kids, if needed. The pool is large and around the corner; it's all 5 feet deep, except for a shallow section for little kiddos. We ventured to downtown (15 min. walk), Cozumel (35 minute ferry from downtown), Akumal (Yal-Ku)(40 min. drive), and Xel-Ha (50 min. drive) during our stay. Xel-Ha was our favorite part! We avoided Playa's beach because of the sargassum (algae) even though it wasn't too bad; but it wasn't an issue at all for snorkeling everywhere we visited. Enjoy!

We very much enjoyed our stay at this place! It's a great location: quiet with a "nature" feel (surrounded by rainforest with lots of birds, coatis, some lizards) but at the same time, at a walkable distance from the bustling area of Playa del Carmen, and also a short walk from the beach. The Playacar community is great for walking around, running, biking and feels very safe. The house is beautiful and very comfortable! The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed cooking some of our own meals. Highly recommend!

Gillian’s home was the perfect place to stay for our family of 4 in Playa del Carmen ! The beaches in Playacar are less crowded and just beautiful, only 10 min walk from the house and through some cool ruins. Pool is great as well. The house was clean and just as it looks in the pictures. We loved eating breakfast on the back patio and waking up to the birds! We saw a lot of cool wildlife in the backyard! Gillian recommended great restaurants we ate so well the whole time :) 10/10 would recommend!

Gillian's place is located in a beautiful part of town - very clean, private, and quiet. It's a short walk to the beach and close to the 5th avenue with all the entertainment and shops. The house has everything you might need for a comfortable stay, including a fully equipped kitchen. The internet/wifi was stellar - we were on a work trip and the 3 of us were able to have video calls at the same time with no problem. I would happily visit this place again!

Love Gillian's place. Close to the beach, close to the town...She gave us perfect instructions on how to get to her place, restaurant suggestions, etc. She also mentioned about the wild life in her back yard. Totally recommend this place. It has everything you need. Super centric. The washer and dryer are a plus. Loved that has 3 bathroom. We each had a bathroom. Priceless. I’m so used to only one bathroom coming from NYC apt!!! Gillian and Chris are great hosts and Gillian is very informational

Gillian's house in Playa del Carmen, Mexico is an absolutely amazing place to stay. We are a family of five and Gillian's house with three bedrooms and three full bathrooms on two stories gave us plenty of room and privacy for everyone. The kitchen had everything you need to prepare meals when you want to eat in. The pool was you about 50 yards away and we alway were the only ones using it. The area is very quiet and serene with numerous wildlife in the area that one can observe. The house is in a gated community that has a very high level of security and is only about a 10-15 minute easy walk to the main area of Playa - great restaurants, shopping, museums, etc. and to the cruise terminal to go to Cozumel (45 min trip from Playa to Cozumel) and about a 10 min walk to the beach. From Playa you can drive to the Tulum area and Cancun (each about a 45 - 60 min drive away depending on traffic and time of day). Gillian's house is the perfect place to stay to see this area of Mexico. Will definitely stay here again when in this area of Mexico.

Spent 10 days at the villa with my parents, sister and her husband (5 adults) in July 2021. We really enjoyed all the space available - three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. We went in the middle of summer so it was quite hot outside; having fans and AC in all the rooms was great. There was quite a bit of sargassum on the beach (which you can walk to easily crossing the ruins) so we did not go there much. We spent every day at the pool, which was deep, warm, and extremely enjoyable. A man came to check the quality of the pool water once while we were there; everything was fine. There's shade in the morning and evening, and direct sun around midday if you want to sunbathe. We enjoyed watching the local fauna (birds and small mammals like sereque and coati) and even watched an iguana climb the tree next to the pool. Chris, the manager for the villa, was extremely helpful - from getting bottled water to drink, to recommending a doctor for an ear infection. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, and my entire family enjoyed cooking together. By the way, the water is 'hard' (lots of salts in it) so if there's an accumulation of salts in the teakettle, you can just heat a mix of vinegar and baking soda in it, and the salts will come right off. The washer and dryer are new and very quiet. There's fast speed internet (although the signal is only strong downstairs, not so much upstairs), and you can watch Netflix on the huge TV. All in all, we had a lovely experience and would be glad to come back.

Greatly enjoyed our stay. The apartment is beautifully furnished, spacious, well equipped, and located in a highly secure resort setting. Communication with the unit owner and manager was easy and highly courteous.

I stayed at Gillian's house for 5 weeks from April 10 through May 15, 2021. I traveled with my 65 year old mom and 16 year old son. The check-in was a breeze, and the moment we walked into the house we could not feel more at home. The entire place was spotless, I mean squeaky clean, from the kitchen, utensils, through the living area and bathrooms. The house has absolutely everything you could and would need to live comfortably. Fully equipped kitchen, living room, TV with netflix, outdoor area with loungers and table with umbrella, bedrooms with more closet space and hangers than I probably have at home, and you know you need all the hangers you can get! The house layout is fabulous, ground floor bedroom was absolutely perfect for my mom who has a hard time climbing up the steps, and the view from the bedroom out to the back yard was priceless. Second floor has two bedrooms as well, each with it's own bathroom. Master bedroom has a small work / office area, which was super useful. Also, for all you remote workers and digital nomads, the internet is great, I worked remotely, my son was taking classes on line and my mom was on youtube simultaneously, including concurrent zoom meetings, no issues at all. If this is what's important to you then you have nothing to worry about. Besides all the practical things, the house is so tastefully decorated with love and local flair. It feels like home not like a rental place. Now, the location - it's perfect, beach is literally 5-7 min walk away, playacar is super safe, with great bakery and restaurants, 5th avenue is 10 min walk away , so is the ferry to cozumel, taxis available everywhere and public bicycle system close by meaning you can get everywhere within playa centro in 15 min. Now the owner, Gillian is special, she takes pride in her property, and genuinely cares that your stay is the best possible experience. She was a wealth of information before and after we arrived in Playa and was happy to find the answers we needed if she didnt have them immediately. Thank you Gillian for having us in your little piece of paradise, I hope you're back there soon to enjoy it, we loved our stay and would do so again in a heartbeat. One more thing, I forgot the wildlife, if that's what interests you ,then you're in luck. Every morning, we were awaken by all kinds of birds, Iguanas sunned on the trees midday, and dear, coati and bunny-looking animals except on longer legs (sorry, forgot their proper name), would prance around until late evening all in your back yard! Also, the development is a great community, with the nicest neighbors, there's also a nice swimming pool area and the garbage is taken out daily! The area is quiet, so you can get a good night's sleep and the house being the last unit in the development, is super private. One last thing, if you decide to rent a car, there's plenty of parking available.

It is a beautiful house with nice decoration, very spacious, comfortable and cozy, it has a beautiful view of the garden where we had to see a beautiful deer, it is very close to 5th Avenue and the beach, you can walk there are many places to visit and above all very safe, quiet and beautiful private area where it is located! I was with my family, there are 6 of us and we really enjoyed our stay! Gillian is a beautiful and cute host!

It's a spectacular house! The decor, the atmospheres, the lights, the freshness, no mosquitoes, with all the amenities and amenities. It's very central and allows you to make a lot of walking plans. We would recommend it to a closed eye!

We stayed for 8 days in August in this beautiful house. The place is beautiful and very unique. Firstly location. It’s in Playacar phase 2 but walking distance to phase 1 and with a couple “secret” paths that take you to the beach in 5-7 minutes walking. It is also walking distance into town and the playacar plaza and the playacar bakery and ice cream shop. Everything is within 15-20 min walking distance. Secondly, the house is absolutely beautiful. Tastefully furnished, comfortable, beautifully decorated with fantastic art, modern yet with the Mexican flair which created a wonderful warm atmosphere. If it’s raining outside you are sure to enjoy staying in with a book or Netflix. The location of the house is very unique, it’s the best unit in the block, the most private and quite. The backyard and windows all look out onto the aviary, you have a feeling like you have no neighbours. It’s also very thoughtfully equipped with anything you may need (I especially was impressed with kitchen equipment) The owner was also very accommodating providing a high chair and crib for our baby. And the manager is always available if you need anything. We also loved the pool. There are not too many houses so it was never too busy. The pool was always immaculately clean. There is a deep area for adults and a baby pool, as well as a palapa with tables and chairs and palm trees for shade and aviary in the background. Beautiful and peaceful. Our only unpleasant surprise during our vacation was the sargassum situation, about which we didn’t know, and which apparently is now affecting most of the carribean, so we couldn’t enjoy the beach as much as we would have liked but nevertheless we had an amazing time enjoying the cenotes and rivers and the gorgeous inlet at Xcaret.

Gillian's home is comfortable and has every comfort for our stay. It is located in a sector with easy access to the center and the beach. The furniture and decor of the house is very warm just as it appears in the photos. It has a shared pool, large and very clean, lounge chairs, umbrellas and towels for the beach. Communication with Chris was smooth and came close to welcoming us very kindly. We recommend this house and would definitely come back.

What a gem! Look no further. We had 3 adults and 2 children (16 and 10) and this was our first tropical family vacation. (Father in law included) This Villa was perfect for all of us. Gillian was great at communication from the beginning of the planning which is a huge plus. We wanted safe and peaceful. This is both by far!!! The space is large and open. The pillows and linens were so fresh smelling and comfortable. We only needed put on the air conditioning for a few hot evenings. The fans in all rooms feel very refreshing. One of the best parts is the jungle in the back yard where you have your morning coffee with the amazing birds, coati's, deer and other animals. The pool area has a covered area with tables and the grass is green with loungers and the pool is very clean, large and deep enough to dive into and we were the only ones in there most times. The villa is within walking distance to the amazing NON crowded beach with a quick shortcut stated in the info sheet at the villa. Beach chairs,coolers and umbrella are included and very much appreciated. Fully stocked kitchen complete with filtered water jugs. Walmart is close and very inexpensive for food and beverages. We walked there a couple times. A cab ride back is only about $8. Walking to town is easy and only takes about 15 minutes. We ate at Casa Sophia a few times as it is super close and very inexpensive. Main town and 5th street is a very easy and safe walk (15 mins). I probably missed some info but this vacation was perfect and renting this place made it so. If you want a place that offers peace and quiet,safety,cleanliness and in a convenient location.......look no further. PS. We are fairly picky when we are looking for somewhere to stay and do a lot of research in advance. No surprises here. It was an absolute pleasure to have met Chris the manager and the owners Gillian and John before we left . Thank you. We will be back. 🌴

Loved proximity to the beach and Fifth Avenue. Also enjoyed watching the jungle area out back, plus it was nice to be able to go to the pool if desired. House was well equipped overall, although we did end up buying a couple of inexpensive blankets when we had a few chilly nights.

We had a great vacation! The home and its location were ideal for our party of two adults and four young adult children. It was easy to both relax and enjoy the villa and also to use it as our base for exploring. The beach nearby, about a ten-minute walk, was the nicest we found in Playa del Carmen. Gillian was great and made us feel welcome in her home, and provided many great tips and important details.

This home is a gem! It is wonderfully situated at the end of a very quiet road so there's no traffic noise. Plus, it's is an end unit and the back faces a small little jungle where we got to watch agoutis, coatimundis, lizards, and birds frolic about all day. We felt like we were in a small oasis away from it all. The home is about a 10 minute walk into town, and the second you get into town you will see all sorts of restaurants (from upscale dining where all the staff speaks English to little mom and pop shops where you'll need to use Spanish), shops, tour operators, doctors, dentists, etc. If we wanted to go somewhere we could catch a cab just a few minutes walk from the house even before getting into town, as there were plenty of cabs along the main road in the complex (Xaman Ha). The kitchen was very well stocked with pots, pans and other cooking implements. We made use of the washer and dryer as well. Having Netflix was a treat, especially when my children were ill and wanted to just lay on the couch all day. The wifi access was reliable. I would love to see the owner provide some additional information for guests - such as a map with the shortest route to the beach (since Google maps wanted us to take a much longer route than the shortcut we finally discovered) and when and how to get more water delivered. But it was nice to have a property manager on site who could help out with things when needed. If you plan to use the futon in the master bedroom as another bed, be sure to let Gilly know so she can leave sheets out for the futon.

Great location and great house at a fair price. Ideal for big families. Also, the kitchen is very well equipped, and there are supermarkets nearby if you want to make your food.

A beautiful home in a great location that is close enough both to downtown Playa del Carmen and to anything you might choose to do in the area between Cancun and Tulum. The house is modern and spacious and tastefully furnished and decorated. The layout was perfect for our family of five. We greatly appreciated the tips about what to do and where to eat that Gillian shared with us prior to our arrival. Gillian's local manager, Chris, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area.

There is no words to describe how good the vibe in this house is! An amazing getaway! So close to the famous 5th Avenue(La Quinta Avenida) and you still have this feeling to be very apart of the crowd when you are home. Be ready every morning to hear a symphonie of birds in the back yard,and if you are as lucky as us you will also see closely some rendeers,rackoons and tejones. So beautiful!!! House is exactly as describe,everything is perfect and you just need to get used to the Fan controlls :) I highly recommend this place!!! Our stay at Playa Del Carmen was outstanding thanks to the wonderfull villa we stayed in. The location was perfect for our family. We we close the the hustle and bustle of the night life but if you needed peace and quiet, we had that too. The staff was so helpful. If we needed something, all we had to do was ask. I would have no problem staying there again! If you need a place to stay on you vacation, I would highly recommend this villa.
