Excellent, 3 weeks ago

Betto and the team made our group of 11 feel right at home. We opted for the meal package and enjoyed excellent home cooked meals. They answered our questions, helped us with transportation, and provided recommendations. The Majestic Lodge comfortably fit our group and was just as lovely as the pictures. I highly recommend for a large group visiting La Fortuna

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our stay at Bella Vista Resort in Costa Rica was absolutely amazing! We chose this beautiful resort to celebrate my 21st wedding anniversary, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel right at home. The property was beautiful, the atmosphere was peaceful, and the breathtaking views made every moment special. The accommodations were comfortable, the food was delicious, and every detail helped create unforgettable memories for our family. Thank you to everyone at Bella Vista Resort for helping make such an important milestone so memorable. We truly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Bella Vista Resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and unforgettable getaway in Costa Rica.

The estate is beautiful with lush tropical landscape sitting atop a mountain! My family and I really enjoyed this home and the surrounding area. Everything is exactly what’s listed in the description of the estate. The location is the jungle! So do expect to go up and down a lot of mountains. Some of us actually got motion sickness but were okay after taking Dramamine. A shout out to Karen!!! We had a miscommunication daily with our contracted transportation and without hesitation Karen took care of everything and made sure that my family was comfortable and okay each and everyday. There was a language barrier which may have contributed to the miscommunication as well. I love that whenever I text you Karen you responded within minutes even when I wasn’t expecting such a quick response, I really appreciate it. Thank you.

Our family of 13 stayed at Bella Vista for 1 week during the rainy season and enjoyed every day! It really only rained once or twice during our stay. The property was beautiful and relaxing. The hosts were perfect with their communication of all our questions and very responsive. Patricia was wonderful and cooked the most delicious dinners and breakfast. Definitely worth having her fix dinners! We rented the mainhouse and the treehouse and had plenty of room to spread out. The views from the property were outstanding. The pool was the highlight for all...ages 2 to 71. Yes, there were bugs mainly outside, it's Costa Rica!! Centrally located we visited Waterfall, Monteverde Cloud forest, ziplines, took the ferry over to Nicoya Peninsula, went to a local beach near the Crocodile Bridge, went to Coffee Farm and butterfly farm. I highly recommend Bella Vista Private Resort and we would definitely stay again! Pura Vida!

The standout of our stay was the staff—they were incredibly kind and prepared delicious meals we all loved. There are pros and cons for location. It's just a short walk to Playa Avellanas, a gorgeous beach for swimming, waves, and surfing, with great nearby spots like Lola’s and other local restaurants and coffee shop. BUT, getting to Tamarindo or excursions was challenging due to very rough, pothole-filled roads (possibly worse in April), which made us less inclined to leave the area. The house felt a bit dated for the price, especially the kitchen—the dishwasher tipped forward when loaded and it needs an update. That said, the property is spacious and the bedrooms were comfortable. The pool is very nice. It was also noisier than expected, with dog barking at night and roosters early in the morning. If you’re looking for a true luxury stay, this may fall short, but it’s a spacious, comfortable place to enjoy time with family and friends in a great location.

We had an amazing stay here and would definitely come back. The property was incredibly peaceful and felt like the perfect getaway, especially for a big group like ours. There was plenty of space for everyone and it never felt crowded. One of the highlights was the meal plan. It made everything so easy for a big group like ours and took away the stress of coordinating meals. The food was great and really added to the overall experience. The location was also a huge plus. Being near the beach but in a more private and relaxed area than Tamarindo made it feel much more special and less crowded. Lastly, the hosts were fantastic. They were super friendly, responsive, and always willing to help with anything we needed. Overall, an awesome stay and I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially large groups.

Majestic Lodge was a wonderful place for us to stay - large group of college friends, spouses, adult children, and grandchildren. The resort staff was very helpful and attentive in ensuring that we had a great time - Betto and Karen on logistics, Cesar and others in the kitchen, Maria and others on the cleaning crew. Meal service was excellent, flexible and cost-effective. They were willing to come in super early on days when we had early outings. Strongly recommend signing up for meals. Makes a huge difference to be able to focus on touristing and not spend the whole vacation on food shopping, meal planning, cooking and cleaning up. The lodge has a hot tub and small swimming pool that we enjoyed, a large covered deck where we ate all our meals, and views of both the lake and the volcano. Highly recommend the Lodge, relaxing and enjoyable vacation. We went on multiple outings with “Birding and Nature Fortuna” great operation. Bring rain gear, it’s the rainforest so can rain.

The host was very responsive and eager to help. They were able to find us tennis balls and a tennis court upon request. Pickle ball courts on the property were very nice. The views from the house were beautiful; the pool and home cooking were nice. We had to wash bed sheets from stains and hair, there was hair in the shower. The house has a huge bug problem. Caterpillars, ants, a scorpion, tarantula, roaches, spiders, lizards everywhere inside the house, made us very uncomfortable. We demanded to arrange for pest control - the owner helped with that, and bugs disappeared for 2 days only. Then we just had too many things wrong every day: no electricity or AC for one day, lack of hot water later, no WiFi in one of the houses, water dripping from AC- the owners tried really hard to fix everything, to be fair. The house is 2 hrs away from a nice beach, and pretty far from main attractions. Considering everything, the price was reasonable. It was a stressful vacation…

Our stay was everything we imagined and more! The house is large with many bedrooms which all have bathrooms within them. The rooms were clean and organized and ready for our arrival. We had arranged to have dinner at the house upon our arrival and Karla prepared a delicious Costa Rican dinner for our group of 11. Every morning Karla prepared us a wonderful breakfast. It was so convenient not to have to go out for breakfast and the group could eat as they awoke. Alberto was so friendly and hospitable answering all of our questions and making great recommendations. We are ate at Gregarios, Lola’s and Lelos at Drift Away. All are very close and had many options that satisfied the group. We were three families ages ranging from 6 to 76. Emmanuel helped us organize excursions prior to our arrival. We had a private Catamaran tour and deep sea fishing in Tamarindo. They were both worth every penny! We added a great activity releasing sea turtles, it just happened to be the right time.
