4th time we stay at Alexis’ place this year. It has become home away from home! Best Airbnb (by far) in Cartagena! Pro tip: if you want to indulge in traditional Colombian food, Kelly (the housekeeper) is an excellent cook. She prepares breakfast every morning (included) but at a fixed rate she can also make lunch and diner, don’t miss that opportunity!

Valentina and Senora Kelly were very flexible with check in. Senora Kelly was very nice respectful and a great cook. Señora Kelly was very helpful and took care of the casa like it was her own. Señor maintenance solved all our problems. Good location you can walk right to the center. Pretty quiet one way street. I felt safe. The pool was perfect. Rooms were a good size. Air Conditioner worked well.

This place was incredible. It was beautiful, the vibes were immaculate! The bedrooms stayed cool. Be prepared for the mosquitoes!! Kelly was so kind and helpful during our stay, as was Oscar! I would absolutely stay again

The best part of the house is Mrs. Kellys, who takes care of the cleaning and helps you with everything you need, such as preparing food. The house is very nice and perfect for spending time with your family or friends

What an amazing place! One of the best Airbnb’s I stayed in all over the world. Historic building with modern interior touches, spacious, and very clean. The pool in the courtyard is great as well. The staff at the house (Kelly) were so helpful, polite and great to have around. Every day she cooked traditional Colombian breakfast (you only have to give her money for the ingredients) and upon request she can cook lunch and diner as well as do laundry, etc. All in all, highly recommended for both groups of friends as well as families!

Like most of the other reviews for this property, the pictures don’t do it justice. This property is truly an oasis. The staff was waiting outside for us with a warm greeting with an ice cold beer and ice an cold hand towel (nice touch) This is the ideal place to stay! It is so close to everything you want to see in Cartagena. We went for breakfast and would come back to the pool! It was the perfect situation for me. We took advantage of some of the services. First day we had a traditional homemade breakfast. It was really good and on the next to last day of our stay we had our laundry done. The woman that was there was so sweet. Never got in our way, in fact we hardly saw her. I promise you, if you rent this AirBnB you will not be disappointed!! Worth every cent

This was a lovely, comfortable, even a bit luxurious stay for me and my family. It was tempting to just spend all of our time here! There was some noise bleed from neighbors/activity but it’s just part of the culture of the city. The bedrooms were especially nice and the staff was great.

The pictures truly do not do this space justice. Both comfortable and classy. Privacy and yet right in the mix of things. Extremely well maintained and modern but with the character of the walled city built in. Aside from the beauty of the space itself the staff was extremely friendly and doting and took their time to make sure we were well looked after and cared for. Whenever I return I will be looking to stay at coqui once again!

This AirBnB was amazing! It looks better than the pictures! Everything was perfect. The housekeeper/chef, Kelly, was the sweetest woman ever! She helped keep the place clean and fed us breakfast every morning. The host was very responsive and kind as well. I would definitely book again!

Alexis gets a 10/10 for everything! He was very accommodating as a host and went the extra mile to make sure my birthday was amazing. We had a little hiccup with Airbnb and he helped us out tremendously. The place was also beautiful. It looked EXACTLY like the pictures. I barely felt as if I was in an Airbnb. It was walking distance to half of my itinerary which was a huge plus. Also, his team was amazing as well: Briana & Kelly. You all really made us feel welcomed and I can’t wait to visit Colombia again!

We had an incredible stay at Alexis’ place in Cartagena. The location is unbeatable in Getsemani and the house blew us away. The hosts were very responsive and the cleaning was thorough. We would absolutely stay here again if we return to Cartagena! Note that there are a fair few mosquitos around the pool, so bring some mosquito repellent.

My stay in Cartagena de Indias was wonderful, and the management of the host was really remarkable. Despite a small initial inconvenience with the lease, the host handled the situation with great professionalism and speed. We were offered an even better home, which exceeded our expectations. The new house was comfortable, well equipped and with an excellent location. Also, we were lucky to have the help of Mayo, an exceptional person who took care of the food during our stay. Their attention and the quality of the dishes were simply amazing; each meal was a real treat and added a special touch to our experience. The attention to detail and customer service was impeccable. We enjoyed every moment of our stay and really appreciated the efforts of the host and Mayo to make sure we had a positive experience. I highly recommend this place to future travelers.

We recently stayed at this beautiful Airbnb in Cartagena and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The property was stunning inside, with a relaxing pool and a roof deck that provided views of the city. One of the highlights of the stay was that each bedroom had its own private en-suite bathroom with a shower, which added an extra level of comfort and convenience. The location was perfect, situated within a close walking distance to everything in Getsemaní. We could easily explore the vibrant neighborhood, filled with lively bars, delicious restaurants, and fascinating cultural spots. A special mention goes to the sweetest housekeeper, who made our stay even more delightful. Every morning, she prepared delicious breakfasts and iced coffee for us, which was the perfect start to our days. From the moment we arrived at Casa Coqui, the experience was nothing short of spectacular, earning a well-deserved 10/10 rating. Sharon, the homeowner, warmly greeted us with a tour of this stunning villa, which radiates an authentic open-air hacienda vibe. The first floor is cleverly designed with the living room, dining room, and kitchen surrounding a central pool, creating a wonderful communal space that is both inviting and refreshing. The second floor houses three comfortable bedrooms, each with a balcony overlooking the central pool area. The rooftop terrace was a highlight, offering breathtaking views of the old fort and bay, accompanied by the charming sounds of nearby church bells. The service provided by Elida, the caretaker, and her daughter Yuli, was impeccable. They went above and beyond to make my birthday special, preparing a beautiful Colombian dinner. It’s a perfect spot that combines comfort, exceptional service, and a prime location to create magical experiences.

First and foremost we would like to thank Elly for all her help. She was sweet and friendly and took care of our needs, and she’s a great cook! The house was clean and had everything we needed. A lot of things to do in the area. We had a great stay, the only thing that was slightly scary was strangers knocking on our door to see if we’d open, but that’s outside of anyone’s control and has no reflection on the Airbnb host or their workers, just something to consider when visiting Colombia- the locals will harass you to no limit everywhere you go.

This house was absolutely amazing. It is in the heart of Cartagena, easily walkable to restaurants, shops, bars, the marina, and beach. The house was immaculate. It was extremely clean. Came with shampoo, and conditioner. Upon arrival they had cold beers and cold mint scented towels to refresh with. The pool was also cleaned daily which was a really nice touch, no bugs or leaves! I saved the best part for last, we truly can’t speak highly enough of Mayo. She is the housekeeper and cook, and she is absolutely wonderful. She shopped and cooked for us everyday. At a minimum breakfast, but sometimes lunch as well. The food was DELICIOUS! We didn’t want to eat out after her cooking. She goes above and beyond, we had a boat day so she arrived to the house at 5:30 AM made us to go meals for the day so they were fresh and packed a cooler with drinks so we were ready to go at 6:30 AM. I would stay here again just for Mayo, she will make your trip an absolute dream come true.

Alexis was always on the lookout for our stay and attended and resolved everything that was presented. We LOVED staying at Alexis’ house! & Maya - the housekeeper was amazing. It was the best experience - she went to the grocery store for us, made us delicious food & stayed late to take care of us!! The service was so appreciated & our trip wouldn’t have been the same without her. We also appreciated Sharon greeting us upon arrival since she spoke perfect English! She explained everything & answered all our questions. We had 6 girls at the house for our 30th birthday trip for 4 days & it was even better than the pictures. Every bedroom had its own bathroom! Very spacious, stunning interior & we loved the terrace & pool. We also felt very safe in this neighborhood! It was quiet but close enough to walk to all the restaurants, bars & actives we had planned. Would highly recommend staying at this house for your trip to Cartagena!

This is the best Airbnb I have ever stayed in. Mallo (the housekeeper and cook) is a dream!

Not sure if I can convey how great this place is. The location coupled with the design of the house is perfect. Getsemani is the life of Cartagena. The house is an oasis in the heart of that crazy vibrancy. La Cigale is modern, clean, and provided plenty of space and comfort for 8 people. Sharon the property manager was quick to respond to any inquiries. The house staff did the grocery shopping, made the beds, cleaned the pool and BBQ and made breakfast. The fresh juice every morning was exceptional. Everything is walking distance but useful discoveries include: Abaco for coffee, The Clock Pub for sports, Exito for groceries, Centenario Park for sloths. Plaza Trinidad is always hopping with street vendors selling great food and $2 beers. The patio scene on Calle 28 is insane. Our favorite restaurant was Salón Tropical Cartagena, right behind La Cigale for Colombian-style tapas and the live band. Swim at night, in your rooftop oasis with Cartagena beating all around, it’s amazing.

This is my third time staying in this house / villa. will certainly come back! Always a great stay. Highly recommended :)

Had a wonderful stay in Getsemani — the house was just as advertised and we enjoyed the courtyard pool and rooftop deck. The WiFi worked well and the air conditioning in the rooms was delightful after a long hot day walking around town. Sharon and Elida were so responsive and helpful to make our stay comfortable.

Will come back next time we are in Cartagena! Loved our stay and everything about the house.

Beautiful house with incredible views of the city! It was a group of 8 of us including two kids (3 and 5 year old). The location of the house is right on the edge of the walled city so it makes it a little quieter. We stayed over new years so it was loud and festive all around us, but we still enjoyed the peaceful environment of the house. The pool and rooftop patio were incredible, we were out there every single day! Mayo helped us everyday to cook breakfast and overall clean up of the house. It felt a little weird at the beginning to have someone there from 8-5pm but honestly she was busy throughout the day and was just so nice. One thing to keep in mind is that there are 3 floors to the house and the stairs are “floating” stairs and have lots of empty space for possible falls/accidents. It was a little scary with small kids but they did ok, it was actually two adults that ended up slipping (everyone is ok). All in all an amazing experience, would absolutely be back.

Highly recommend a stay at Alexis’ beautiful home in Getsemani. Loved the open air home with gorgeous roof deck views. My only regret is that we did not have Elida prepare us dinner one night. We did have her make breakfast which was amazing! Communication with Sharon was excellent and she was so helpful with all our questions.

The house was gorgeous! The Gestamine neighborhood was awesome with a ton to do and see. The house was totally worth it. Just the view from the rooftop was worth the stay. I look forward to another trip to Cartagena and a stay at this beautiful home.

This has been by far one of the best air bnb experiences I've come across. Alexis and Sharon's place felt right at home. Everything was absolutely clean & beautiful. Pictures shown did not do enough justice. The host's were very responsive and friendly along with their employees. Breakfast was prepared and made by their employee as requested. We had a few days of a traditional Columbian breakfast made, and it was so refreshing yet good. The location was in a safe and great spot to visit any stores, restaurants, etc. Overall, the services provided were excellent and recommended to anyone who is interested!

Place is clean and beautiful, the colonial touch was unique transportation you out the modern cities.

Alexis house is an amazing place. It is conveniently located within walking distance to the old town. The house itself looked exactly like the pictures. It is modern, spacious, bright and is accurately described. There was plenty of common spaces where we could hang out between activities. All four bedrooms were spacious and had attached modern bathrooms. Mayo, the housekeeper made great breakfasts for our group each morning. The terrace and pool on the 3rd floor were a wonderful addition where we spent time in the mornings. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone with a large group.

This place was everything the pictures demonstrated and then some. Location is incredible, right in the heart of Getsemani surrounded by amazing restaurants and beautifully colored streets and homes. All the rooms were super clean, spacious and private. We went with our 8 month old baby and the owners accommodated a crib and a high chair during his meals. Mayo helped us while we were there and we can’t cay enough great things about her. She was so attentive, funny and made the most amazing meals. On one of the days of our stay she made a traditional Colombian breakfast and it was to die for. She was very special we loved her. The rooftop pool was the cherry on top and we very much enjoyed our own little private oasis with the family. We would definitely love to return to this beautiful home!

Alexis and his team were so friendly and accommodating for our group trip. The house is so beautiful and modern. Very good area and the team always available for any questions we had. The girls did mention the only thing missing from this house was a full length mirror but to the guys we had fun with the pool. Location is 10 min walk from most popular spots in Cartagena. We will probably book this same house on our next trip!

Very centric and wonderful place to unwind after a long day of exploration.

the house was amazing, 3 levels of clean, spacious and beautiful living spaces. we had a maid that was available from early in the morning through dinner time. everything she made was sooooo delicious and it was very convenient, we just told her what we wanted and asked for suggestions and she made the food as scheduled, she even did necessity/grocery runs for us - she bought tons of water, electrolit and alcohol . i was able to give her usd bc i didn’t have pesos. there was also daily cleaning, we were living the life! for the ladies, bathrooms were stocked with shampoo/conditioner/body wash. there was 6 of us staying there and there was more than enough room. the views from the rooftop are amazing, castle, river, town views. and the house had everything we needed. checkin was convenient bc the host, the maid and the maintenance man was there to open the door for us and show us around. host was also very accommodating for our early checkin and late checkout. nothing neg to say.

Great spot that was just as advertised

Amazing property in the heart of all of Cartagena’s old town locations. We walked to restaurants, bars, art, etc easily or took a very quick taxi ride when we didn’t want to walk. The house was beautiful and spotless. I truly enjoyed Elida, the housekeeper who cooked breakfast and dinner for us, and even went to the airport to get our delayed bags for us. I would stay here time and time again

We had a pleasant stay in Alexis's beautiful house. Modern house in the heart of a lively neighborhood where you can do lots of things on foot. Nice little rooftop Pisicne.

The home is a beautiful oasis just off the extreme hustle and bustle of Getsemani. Very walkable to everything (including El Centro, which is about 10-minute walk). Definitely a perfect location for a Getsemani home base. The top floor pool and patio area were a real highlight. The house itself is so soothing, clean, and spacious. It feels like a real luxury to open the door and enter. Mayo the on-site maid was so kind and made incredible breakfasts. All told, a real treasure of an Airbnb. Thank you, Alexis (and Sharon the check-in coordinator!).

Virginia was the best. She was so amazing and helpful. By the end of the trip she was practically our friend. The place was beautiful. My only real complaint was too few towels and the street was noisy until late at night. You can hear everything going on outside, there isn’t a good noise barrier. Lots of party busses go by at night which wasn’t a huge deal for my group but I can see it being an issue for those sensitive to sound. We had a great trip overall.

The highlight of our entire trip was Virginia and her cooking. My family and I still talk about how delicious every meal was. The house is beautiful and looks exactly like the pictures, and the area is so cool and vibrant, but once again, Virginia was the highlight of our trip.

This place is beautiful. Even better than the pictures. With a beautiful view from the rooftop. Elida was super sweet and helpful. Super close to everything. Felt safe and really enjoyed our time there. Make sure you bring bug spray because of the open concept.

Important things I was looking for: Separate Pool for my toddler’s safety, safe stairs, a beautiful place that looks like my home, great service and a decent view. You can see the San Felipe fort castle right off the balcony and you can walk alongside the old walls as you leave the house. The staff was helpful, respectful and made our stay more comfortable. Highly recommend Virginia’s cooking oh my oh my I felt in heaven. I’m originally from Colombia and took my American father in law and husband and they felt not only safe but like they didn’t want to come home. As you walk the streets don’t be surprised to see a lot of foreigners and hear different languages. The area is wonderful and quiet to sleep at night, no bars/clubs to disturb your peace.

If you’re looking to stay in Cartagena, please book this place! Check in was so smooth. They picked us up and dropped us off at the airport. Ellie, the house manager, was so helpful. She made amazing meals and ensured we had everything we needed for our stay. Highly recommend.

Great Airbnb! I absolutely loved the in house staff, Mayo and Hine! They made our stay here even more amazing. I also liked the location of the Airbnb, as it was in a happening place (Getsamani) and it was easy to walk everywhere. We had a wonderful stay at Alexis’. The home is well appointed, spacious and comfortable.
