Christiaan’s guesthouse is set in a beautiful, private tropical garden with a mountain river flowing through it. It is a tastefully decorated apartment for two, featuring an amazing shower that overlooks the lush greenery—it feels as if you’re standing right in the middle of the jungle. The property is located in a stunning mountain area, with several beautiful hiking trails starting right from the house. There are also excellent restaurants nearby. A wonderful place to stay if you want to relax, immerse yourself in nature, and enjoy the beauty of this special part of Costa Rica. Highly recommended!

One of the most beautiful places me and my wife have been. It’s incredible what an incredible piece of paradise Christian has created. Such a lovely host with a warm welcome of delicious local products. This is a place you have to visit.

What a stunning Airbnb. It is a beautifully and meticulously crafted home that is completely nestled into nature. Peacefully, comfortable and so relaxing. Christian was the perfect host with clear communications, directions on how to reach his home, and wonderful touches like fresh eggs, bread and butter for us! Highly recommend staying at this super special place.

Christian and Anabelle’s house is so beautiful. It is ideally located walking distance from the village’s center and entrance of the cloudbridge réserve. Thé terrasse is so peaceful overlooking the river and the forest. Our favorite place in Costa Rica.

Christian is a great guy and very helpful . His garden next to the river is stunning which he has obviously put a huge amount of effort in designing and making .

A little paradise at the foot of the Cherripo Mountains, perfect for exploring the San Gerardo area. Hiking trails are within walking distance of the property. Christian is very friendly, and the place is impeccable. The gardens are absolutely beautiful! And swimming in the river at the foot of the house is magical! Hoping to be able to go back one day :)

Just delightful. I could not believe my good fortune in finding this gem in the middle of the jungle, and so close to a small town with everything you need, from groceries to fantastic small restaurants, boutique cheese shops, and more. Cristian built the Casita himself, and you can sense the love in every little detail. A small river runs through the property, creating a wonderful presence both day and night. The gardens are beautiful and are frequented by an incredible array of local wildlife: hummingbirds, tucans, iguanas, and many other brightly colored birds. The bed and sleeping area are one of the main highlights; looking out through giant floor-to-ceiling glass doors is magical, whether they are open or closed. The outdoor soaking tub is another delightful touch. Cristian is an incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and attentive host. He stocked the kitchen with just the right amount of delicious food for a weary traveler. I can go on and on. One of my favorite stays ever!

This place was great. Christian gave us good directions to get to his place. The studio was spotless, and the views of the garden and river were wonderful. We had everything we needed. Afternoon naps on the deck in the provided hammock and bean bag were great! I highly recommend this place if you are staying in the Chirripo area.

Second time in this beautiful place! Right on the shore of a ravine that has a pool to feel the natural cold water of the mountain. Highly recommended for seeking peace

Very nice and pleasant studio. In a lush setting with the river flowing under the terrace. Christian is a very considerate and welcoming host. Very nice spot for hiking and climbing Cerro Chirripó, which starts 500 m from the apartment. Very nice location in a micro village in Costa Rica!

A literal slice of paradise! A beautifully maintained private suite with unmatched proximity to the river and beautiful gardens. Christian was accommodating, friendly, and helpful - overall a great host. I would highly recommend!

Christian’s home is a beautiful blend of luxury and charm, surrounded by stunning nature. We loved the refreshing river cold plunge, the very comfortable king bed, and the outdoor deck bathtub - such a treat. Great location near Cloudbridge and Talamanca hiking, with a couple of easy walk-to spots for meals. Would happily stay again!

Truly, THE place against which other 5-star reviews should be compared. Great location, well provisoned, easy walk to local restaurants, and local hiking and birding locations. If you don’t feel like leaving the property, the gardens are immaculate and phenomenally good for birding (I had 30 species in a short morning birding) or if you just want to chill and drink the excellent coffee Chris provides.
