What a stunning Airbnb. It is a beautifully and meticulously crafted home that is completely nestled into nature. Peacefully, comfortable and so relaxing. Christian was the perfect host with clear communications, directions on how to reach his home, and wonderful touches like fresh eggs, bread and butter for us! Highly recommend staying at this super special place.

Christian and Anabelle’s house is so beautiful. It is ideally located walking distance from the village’s center and entrance of the cloudbridge réserve. Thé terrasse is so peaceful overlooking the river and the forest. Our favorite place in Costa Rica.

Just delightful. I could not believe my good fortune in finding this gem in the middle of the jungle, and so close to a small town with everything you need, from groceries to fantastic small restaurants, boutique cheese shops, and more. Cristian built the Casita himself, and you can sense the love in every little detail. A small river runs through the property, creating a wonderful presence both day and night. The gardens are beautiful and are frequented by an incredible array of local wildlife: hummingbirds, tucans, iguanas, and many other brightly colored birds. The bed and sleeping area are one of the main highlights; looking out through giant floor-to-ceiling glass doors is magical, whether they are open or closed. The outdoor soaking tub is another delightful touch. Cristian is an incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and attentive host. He stocked the kitchen with just the right amount of delicious food for a weary traveler. I can go on and on. One of my favorite stays ever!

Christian’s home is a beautiful blend of luxury and charm, surrounded by stunning nature. We loved the refreshing river cold plunge, the very comfortable king bed, and the outdoor deck bathtub - such a treat. Great location near Cloudbridge and Talamanca hiking, with a couple of easy walk-to spots for meals. Would happily stay again!

If you decide to visit the mountains of Costa Rica choose Christian’s gorgeous setting as your home base! Walk to hiking, charming restaurants, and a local grocery store. As a certified nature guide with years of experience leading tourist groups, Christian is a knowledgeable host as well as a generous and kind companion! The house is a bit of an architectural marvel he constructed during Covid and the details rival anything you’d see in a magazine. Take a bath on the outside deck as you listen to the river and watch the visiting wildlife-the whole experience is really quite magical.

If you’re looking for a relaxing and welcoming place, this is it. Chris has created a true oasis that immediately invites you in. You’ll find yourself just as happy spending time at the house as you are exploring all the beauty around San Gerardo. Not only is the property incredibly inviting, but Chris is a genuine host, welcoming us with specialty foods, engaging in thoughtful conversation, and offering helpful recommendations as we headed to our next destination. You will not regret booking here. We can’t wait to come back.

The place was amazing! Private, with a beautiful garden and private access to the river. Christian was an incredible host. They have curated a beautiful and very thoughtful space. We will be back.

A truly special place! The moment I stepped inside it felt a bit like entering a new world. It's an incredibly beautiful place, both the house (that Chris built himself) and the garden, which was taken care of with so much love. One of my favorite things was waking up in the morning listening to the morning birdsong and just sitting on the veranda for breakfast taking it all in. Or, in the evening, sitting on the hanging chair while listening to the crickets and frogs and watching the fireflies in the garden. All accompanied by the constant roar of the wild river flowing in front of the house. What an experience! I'd also like to add that Chris and his wife Anabel are wonderful hosts - they checked in regularly to make sure all was well and even offered me rides to the shops and market in town. They also left undescribably delicious local cheese, butter and bread in the fridge as welcome gift - so glad they made sure I don't miss out on these! In short, its a little piece of heaven!
