Wonderful, amazing, and lovely house on the beach, perfect for a beach vacation house! Just know that you are on dirt roads, with only 5-7 min hot showers, and no washing machine or dryer - all is absolutely not important to having a wonderful time! Just to clarify expectations for where you are in Mexico, this is remote from the city and a perfect getaway but you must rent a car to get to any amenities otherwise only an Oxxo is in walking distance. I had to ask the host for blankets for the beds in the house which wasn’t included. That was surprising given we had 8 people and a sheet is not enough for a person to be warm at night.

The house is excellent, just like the description, and Susana's service was great at all times, very attentive!!!

Great host. Had drinking water, ice, spices, cooking oil, tea, coffee, sugar, soap, etc, etc, etc. Lots of clean towels and bedding. Every room had AC for hot nights. Beautiful house with lots of space for 12. Large kitchen, dining, living space where everyone our group could gather but not feel crowded. 4 bathrooms for privacy. Nice pool for a cool dip on a hot day. Private beach with house away from waterfront to add privacy. Also, house is some distance from public entrance adding to sense of privacy. Susana was very responsive to all emails and was there to greet us the day we arrived to show us around the property. The house is located under 10 minutes from Progresso which made it around 120 peso Uber ride. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to stay on the beach around Merida and who has a large group that wants to be together under one roof. Gracias Susana!!!!

We stayed at Agua Azul the with my sister and family and it was exactly what we were looking for! The outdoor space is perfect for cousins playing, the pool was a hit and we loved collecting shells from the beach. The house was spacious and had plenty of room for all of us. We loved sitting out on the porch and palapa in the evenings and mornings. Thanks Susana for sharing your home with us!

Susy place is just what we wanted ! a huge house on the beach with Mexican style! the place easily accommodates 2 families. we were 8 total and have plenty of space! my favorite was the backyard is stunning with the ocean right there! I enjoy walks every morning and at night watching the starts and the moon I was soo blessed to watch a few shooting stars!! I like is a oxxo close by and Chixchulub port 5 min away! You do need a car in that area as there is not transportation at all. the neighborhood is nice and classy. Susy was very kind and helpful with anything we needed. she was so fast to respond and very caring. I will definitely consider her place again! I just got back to Canada and I am really missing been in Yucatan!

Our group of 7 was lucky enough to find this house during the first week of the new year and it fit our needs perfectly. We were looking for an easy beach escape, close to Merida, in a comfortable house with easy beach access. The house itself was spotlessly clean and even more spacious than expected. It was very well stocked with everything we needed to cook at home and had all the amenities we could have asked for, and then some. The pool was great and the house has direct beach access, with very few other people around. It's in a residential compound outside of Progreso so we were happy to have a rental car, but ended up spending most of our time at the house because it was so lovely. The hosts were attentive, responsive, and ensured we had everything we needed for a great stay. We would absolutely stay at this house again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient, comfortable and relaxing beach escape from the city with a large group. Great place to spend a few days on the beach quietly. It's a quiet beach with almost no people, so it's great for resting. The house is as seen in the photos, it is large and fresh as well as clean, tidy and with everything you need. Susy is an excellent host, always attentive and with excellent recommendations and tips. My family and I will definitely be back soon.

Susan and her husband were very helpful with local recommendations for food and areas around. House was great for our size group, and the pool was a hit for the little and old alike. Didn't realize that there weren't any bathrooms in the bedrooms which caused a little confusion but we were able to divide ourselves up amongst our group for sharing. Kitchen was great had everything you could need. Beach was beautiful!!

This location was spectacular! Susy was an amazing and generous host. She responded promptly with any questions and or requests and made us feel very welcome. Don Pedro brought us fresh coconuts and she told us about finding the best sea shells …. It was a great family vacation and everything was perfect !

I cannot recommend this accommodation enough. 10 out of 10. 11 out of 10! We've been Airbnb guests many times before but I don't recall ever staying as a Guest to SuperHosts before. And Suzy and Daniel are fabulous! I'm a SuperHost myself so I know what standards I offer and would hope to expect from other Hosts. But until this trip my experiences as an Airbnb Guest have always been very unsatisfactory and very disappointing for too many reasons to recount here...but usually due to the lack of proper self-catering facilties for properties that claim that they are suitable for that. Suzy and Daniel are model Hosts. Their spacious 5 bedroom house is literally on the beach, not far from Progreso and Mérida in the Yucátan, about a 4 hour drive from Cancun, and is properly set up for a family (or families) or group of friends to actually live in and self-cater. 3 toilets, 2 showers, lots of comfortable large beds, a large well set up kitchen with an American style Samsung fridge-freezer, large gas oven, lots of pots and pans and everything you need in a kitchen, perfect for a long or short term stay especially if, like us, you choose to self-cater most of the time. There is good airconditioning in all the bedrooms, decent wifi, streaming tv with Netflix Prime and many other channels, a small pool perfect for kids (which is regularly cleaned), neighbours who keep an eye on the house and come in and clean whenever you want for 200 pesos, lots of towels and bedding and all the sundries you would need. The sea front is literally at the end of the house's beach back 'yard' and the sound of the waves and sea breezes permeate the house. Mosquito screens in all the windows permit them being open as much as you want. Less than 20 minutes drive from the pleasant coastal town of Progreso which has all the basics you could ever need including a wide golden beach, a wide modern boardwalk sea front with lots of cafes and restaurants catering to the Mérida crowds and 40-50 minutes drive to the buzzing thriving state capital Mérida, with its many giant high end supermarkets, restaurants, markets, museums and zoos...obviously due to Covid19 some of these were closed but a surprising number remained open and apart from everyone wearing masks it was pretty much business as usual...although admittedly a little subdued and far less tourists than usual. Suzy and Daniel were very responsive and helpful on WhatsApp and even arranged and accompanied us to our departure pcr tests at the American Hospital in Progreso. Our Hosts were genuinely caring and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. We were looked after by then.

Amazing days in the house , very comfortable and functional, better than in the pictures. Susana and her husband are more than good hosts, aware of every detail. We had to spend my husband's birthday there and they helped me with everything I needed to surprise him with a nice dinner. I would definitely go back, leaving the house and having the sea so close is unmatched. One of my best Airbnb experiences.

We loved staying in the house, although we had a bit of bad weather. We had a great time! Very comfortable and with everything you need to have a pleasant stay, the hosts (Susan and Daniel) are super attentive and helpful at all times. We will definitely be back!

The house comes with everything you need to enjoy an excellent weekend with family and friends. Hosts are always on the lookout and communication is very good. In the house they have tables to be able to make roast meat enjoying the beach and pool.

We spent a great 16 days in Daniel's cottage. The amenities exceeded our expectations and we felt completely comfortable. The care by Daniel was very good, he was always available and always answered our questions immediately. The house is only accessible by car, but is located directly on the sea and you can unwind. Lovely place if you are looking for privacy and a relaxing place. Daniel and Susy are super friendly, attentive, super kind, and helpful hosts. Very safe house with amenities that can please any age. Something that amazed me was the special access the house has from the pool to a bathroom, a very well thought out detail. We were a group of 10 people with kids and teenagers, and everyone in the group liked the place. Pedro is the person who takes care of the house, he also makes a delicious ceviche, we had the chance to try it and it was delicious. I fully recommend the house, the place, the people and the host.

It is a very clean and safe house, it has everything in order. The kitchen has more than expected utensils. Excellent rooms very clean and climates working properly. 100% recommended.

The hospitality is unbeatable. Excellent communication, long before my arrival. The beachfront house has a swimming pool, so you can enjoy both all day long! A good thing to have fun with all my family. The caretaker is a great cook: we love his ceviche and fried fish!!! You can get ingredients within a 5-minute drive, all very close by. Daniel allowed us to stay extra time for check out so we enjoyed the full Sunday.

We loved staying here for 5 nights! We had 7 adults and 6 little kids (ages 6 and under). The pool was a huge hit! My kids love to swim so they spent all the time they could in there. Going back I would’ve just been more conscious about our towel use. With a group that big and the amount of swimming we did we just needed a few more. We also didn’t realize it did not have a washer when we booked it. Not a huge deal but would’ve been nice. We ended up bringing our stuff to a laundromat service in Progreso (not expensive). The beach in the back was nice and warm, very quiet & private. We had fun playing there! The kids also got excited when they saw the coconuts in the trees. The location is great, close to a convenient store, grocery store & progreso beach which has markets, restaurants & shopping. The house itself was a good size for us, lots of beds. Looks like the pictures, AMAZING view. Kitchen had clean water & snacks which was a nice touch. Not many bugs, just don’t leave food out. The only thing I’d really caution is if you have kids it’s very very slippery outside on the tile when wet. We laid out towels to make a path from the pool area to the door (more towels used). Overall I would recommend staying here. The hosts were friendly and great and checked in with us. Thank you! We had a great trip!

Super happy and grateful to Mr. Daniel and his wife. We were a group of 16 people, all family. When we arrived, we were greeted with great lengths! Even as our arrival was late, we also had basic food and some welcome beers. Anything that was offered, he would respond instantly. The house is spectacular and they are also responsible for Mr. Pedro who gives maintenance to the pool and house and is also super friendly and well-equipped. We will gladly return, once and again. Extremely happy with our host and his wife. We were a family group of 16 people. Upon the arrival they greeted us wonderfully. Since our arrival was late they had basic food for our breakfast and they also had some cold beer for us. If we needed anything, our host would respond to us immediately. The house is spectacular and they also have Mr Pedro in charge of keeping up with the property. Mr Pedro was very nice and courteous as well. We will gladly come back over and over!

We had a great stay at Daniels house! The house is spacious and comfortable, right on the beach. We enjoyed the beautiful views. The swimming pool was definitely a plus. The wifi was excellent. Stayed last week, great house and location. Perfect for big families, spacious, everything you need in a house is provided. Very sad to see plastic bags and bottles being washed out from the sea, we need to more to take care of this beautiful coasts.

Washing vehicle needs to be relocated Merida has countless places to visit, you need a vehicle, because there is no public transport nearby. ( there is Uber service) It's a very comfortable place, and the host's service is excellent

Everything was excellent ! The house is very spacious and comfortable, there can be several families in it and you will feel privacy for each one, it is right in front of the beach! It has an excellent location ! It's big and clean! Daniel is very attentive and kind.

This house is an excellent place for a large family or families to spend a beach vacation. Daniel and his wife are excellent hosts and people and treated us super well. We rented this house because there were many of us and the price was the best we found in the area and type of house. To be honest, the house is much better than the photos show. The house is a very good condition and has all the necessary services to spend a great time (A/C, refrigerator, refrigerator, refrigerator, picina, TV, internet, WiFi, etc.) What gives the plus to this property is the proximity to the beach, like 50 meters and the water is very clear and clean. If you get bored of the pool you go to the beach and back all day. The location is excellent, 35 minutes from Merida and 10 minutes from Progeso, to eat or to buy food and cook the house. A perfect place for families with children. The Beach is a pool where you go 200 meters and do not immerse yourself more than 1.20 meters deep.
