Finca Del Sol

The setting was beautiful. Quiet at night with incredible stars as no light pollution. Make no mistake you’re in the jungle sharing space with the primary residents….birds, cane toads, and so many butterflies. Not luxurious but absolutely comfortable. Walking distance to great local restaurants and motorcycle rental. We had an awesome stay and highly recommend this rental.

A wonderful stay in the nature! Finca del Sol is a very nice place where nothing is missing. There is unlimited free drinking water, a private cabana and a quick service by Miguel.

This is a lovely place! We did have a warm welcome from a first night tarantula, so keep in mind it (and all of ometepe) is full of life :)

Right in the middle of things but still very private and peaceful! Easy to walk to restaurants, bars or hostels as well as motorbike hire and minimart close by. Only a few bungalows on the property makes it very easy going and a beautifully maintained property. An abundance of biodiversity without even leaving the front gate!

The place is super nice - remote, in the middle of the farm with beautiful views of the volcano and hummingbirds flying right in front of our window 🤍

What an amazing stay!! The setting is just beautiful with incredible views of the volcano. I saw more butterflies here than anywhere else in my entire life! Our kids were attending the Worldschool hub in Ometepe, and this was the perfect location that allowed us to walk to school, restaurants, and into Santa Cruz where the beach is. The breakfast was great, and the staff were awesome!

Such an amazing place! I stayed for two nights and really could have stayed much, much longer. The surroundings are absolutely stunning, and it feels like the Finca del Sol is one big butterfly sanctuary. The grounds are extremely well maintained with beautiful tropical plants and flowers everywhere. My bungalow was fantastic and looked just like the pictures as well. Miguel was such a wonderful host who had great restaurant recommendations, and he also arranged a local hiking tour for me to the very nearby Maderas Volcano (the guide met me at the Finca, and we started our walk from the property!). The next morning, I went on a kayak tour (also arranged with Miguel's help) of the Istian River and saw some amazing wildlife. On my next trip to Ometepe, I will definitely be staying at Finca del Sol again!

We had a great stay with our kids at Finca el Sol. It was an easy walk to the beach and quite a few restaurants and a great place to spend time outside.

We lovee staying here. The view of the volcano is amazing and there is such a peaceful vibe all around the house. We slept in a very comfy bed and it was not hot at all ! We had a very nice and warm welcome from Miguel who was helped us rent a cab to go back to the ferry ! I recommend it 100% !
